This place a is a must for beer lovers! Huge selection to choose from on tap and in bottles. Nicely decorated with seats available around and open fire pit, perfect for cold nights. The food was excellent and very tasty. The roast beef was delicious. Only let down was that they had run out of a few menu items, for example the burgers, roast chicken and basic desert items. Friendly and attentive service, I’d recommend this place and definitely go back.

We arrived for our meal at Albert Schenke and taken to our table. Once seated the manageress brought over two glasses of Prosecco for our Anniversary which I had mentioned on booking. The waitress was lovely and attentive. The Pretzel was delicious. Had the Pork Knuckle for main which was really tasty. When they cleared the table the Managress came back to our table to chat to us and then gave us some Raspberry and Salted Caramel shots. Could not fault the service. Thank you so much for making our Anniversary special.

Absolutely incredible Sunday Roast. Loved the size of the Yorkshire Pud. I had the chicken and my 2 companions had the beef. Couldn't fault it at all. Puddings went down well too, especially the salted caranel cheesecake. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would happily return.

Lovely Sunday lunch here, we both had the roast beef, can heartily recommend this, absolutely superb food and great service, had a 3 flight of Czech, Austrian and German lagers to help wash it down. Will definitely be back for more.

Went here for a works do on a Thursday, and it was surprisingly busy. The place has got a great vibe to it, very relaxed bar area with plenty of benches and seating areas. The selection of beers is phenomenal, could do with a few more 0% beers though. Staff very polite, helpful and hard working, nothing too much trouble. Great variety on the menu, only surpassed by the quality of food delivered.... sensational. Not one of our party of 30 disappointed. You got to try the scheinehaxe, it's a real favourite of mine so was cooked to perfection, exactly how I remember after all those trips to Germany. Go, you won't be disappointed.

Went for a bottomless brunch on my birthday and it was fantastic. The best service I’ve ever experienced (big shoutout to Andrew and Dorie who were so wonderful). Our glasses never had the chance to empty before we had more drinks brought out. The food was amazing as well and I would definitely go back!

Visited for the first time yesterday evening. Busy restaurant/bar in an amiable setting. We were looked after by a young lady called Magenta who was lovely, polite, full of smiles and able to market the place without making us feel pressured. The food was well presented and delicious, I won't recommend a particular dish as everyone's taste buds are different but there was an excellent selection to suit all tastes. If you are in Liverpool and fancy a good quality meal at a fair price then Albert's won't leave you disappointed!

I really love the Fritz ice tea. It's similar to Long Island ice tea one of my favourite drinks. The only issue I had was the stools in the bar area too high to get on them. Maybe you should tables that are lower or stools, sits with all backs on them. It's very hard for someone like me who is not that tall to get on high stools. Other than that a really nice place. I would go here again

Awesome!! Great selection of German style food & drink. Food includes pretzels, bratwurst, burgers & kebabs etc. A vast choice of larger & ales, they also do wine & cocktails. I'm vegan & had a few options to choose from, the dish I had was delicious. I was in a group of six & everyone really enjoyed the experience, staff were brilliant, lovely atmosphere & the food/drink was superb. Will definitely be back!!

2nd visit this month. An addictive atmosphere, with loud chatter but that soon becomes a distant background noise when dining. Staff are very attentive, drinks are kept topped up when dining, but you don't feel pressured or rushed to finish. Excellent cocktails and mocktails. Food is delicious. You can book a table to done, and also a table in the bar area. Toilets are spotless..... very regular staff checks.

Well, where should I start it?! BRILLIANT, absolutely amazing place! First time here came for lunch on bank holiday! From the first second we walked in the lady at the door was so smiley and welcoming! Got our table really quick! I got lactose intolerance so it’s always a bit difficult to eat out but the manager came out with an allergy book and did help out a lot! Our waiter Coral was absolutely lovely and helpful, did recommended well and did a great service. Our food was so delicious and nice! And the beers!! Got Kozel on tap so definitely the best place! Guys thank you for a such a good experience, will definitely see you soon! Highly recommend it. Thank you ☺️ 🍻🤙🏻

It was lovely to come to a restaurant that is passionate for Bavarian food after moving back to Liverpool from Munich recently! I have to say the Schweinshaxe was very tasty, but it isn’t the same as the authentic Bavarian style - it was more like a gammon, and the portion was the biggest I’ve ever seen of Schweinshaxe! The staff were wonderful, and they definitely enhanced our experience here. I highly recommend!

Booked bottomless brunch for joint Christmas and two birthdays, had such a great time! Food was boss, and the cappuccino I had was the best I've had in months. Atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, and the music was great. Amazing value for money. Service was amazing. Our server Scott was so genuinely friendly, attentive, and accommodating. All staff were wearing masks and cleaning regularly (tables had signs on to show which needed cleaning). Really recommend the mushroom pizza and espresso martinis, and will definitely be back. Busy on Saturday nights but was lucky enough to get a table @ pm. Initially noisy with the crowd and music but u get used to it. The staff were helpful but service took a bit longer due to the volume of customers. Food, was something new to me. Anyway the barley that came with the sea bass was starchy and felt like I had to really bite into every single grain. It was an experience.

Food is immense, huge portions of German food from pretzels to schweinhaxe. Fantastic and fresh beers, both local and Germanic. Most of all, the staff are great. Attentive, friendly, and generous (the manager gave me a free drink the first time I went).

Food amazing, ham egg and chips is delicious, ham is a thick bacon chop and huge crispy chips. My husband had the 20 inch sausage (without chips) and said was really good. Great food. Lovely roast dinner. The service was a little slow at first but got better when the shift changed. Great beer though. You have to try the Pilsner Urquell. It's nothing like the bottled stuff and it's driven from Bavaria every week. Much more flavoursome than your normal lager.

As a Liverpool local, I have got to take the time out to write a review for these guys. The location is spot on. Right by (but not overwhelmed by) the action. Nice main bar and restaurant which is well lit and great for people watching whilst in the cosey setting. For beer lovers this place has to be the best in Liverpool by far. The choice of beers is immense, with many imported and rotating on the menu. As for the food it is absolutely traditional German food, served by lovely waiters and waitresses. Cannot recommend enough.

Food was lovely and the staff were amazing Two of us had the Raclette burger which consists of Cheshire beef ,chicken liver pate, Truffle aioli and bier sweet onions with a side of fries and my father chose the Ham(Black Forest spiced bacon chop) egg and triple cooked chips. Both dishes were tasty but the highlight of the day was how they treated My Yorkshire Terrier Pip who was with us. It was Pip's first ever visit to a restaurant as he was a rescue who has suffered and had only been with us for a month. As you can see from the photographs the staff wined and dined him with his own special meal of fresh chicken and Italian water. Thank you for making Pips first restraunt experience so special🐶🍗🥛❤

I booked this for my wife's birthday and we came for the bottomless bunch. Fantastic service and the choices on the bottomless bunch are great. Martinis, lager, processco, wine and soft drinks included for the drinks. Burgers, fish n chips, hotdog or pasta for the food. Welcomed at the door, and nothing was too much for our server. Can't recommend this place enough, thank you so much for an amazing time 🎉

Very good and authentic food. After a long time in the UK it realy tastes like home. The atmosphere, exept the language, was close to a german restaurant. What a good place to drink booze. They have everything... A good selection of beers and they do cocktails. Loving the table with the open fire which we perfect after a 3 hour train journey. I would like to reach out to the management/owners of this fine establishment to say that myself and my finances visist was so much enjoyed because of the excellent, spectacular, superb, outstanding, welcoming, friendly customer service of Stephen and Dorrine. These two employees made the night so e enjoyable and would be the main reason I would come again. We enjoyed it so much and despite the night being so busy - we still felt really well looked after. I cannot emphasize enough how hard they worked and how they went the extra mile to accommodate us and look after us. The staff here are great!! Would come again

A lovely spot. Superbly nice staff. I've eaten here twice. The spàtzle was better than anything i had while.living in Germany. The bratwurst was good (the sauerkraut was NOT sauerkraut) and there's no need for the bun. Mustard was sweet! As in saccharine, not good. Just German senf would be far better. Going for broke next time and having the schweinehaxe. Used to be my hangover meal when I was in Hamburg. Fingers crossed it'll be the same for Liverpool. Definitely worth a visit. Or two. Or several.

Pork knuckle top notch, faultless. Less so on the eurofizz which was not as hoped. I asked for wheat beer suggestions "we don't have any" etc. which was such shame as the beer menu promised so much. AMAZING BRUNCH!! Firstly, the decor is lovely and the seating arrangements are well placed - suitable for all ages and parties. I came here with my mum, as a treat, whilst I'm back in the UK. We booked the bottomless brunch on a Friday afternoon. As soon as we entered we were warmly welcomed, shown to our seats and handed a glass of prosecco. Our waitress was so efficient when monitoring our drinks. We never had an empty glass! The food was delicious. I had a vegetarian burger - WOAH! Really enjoyed the food here. Working my way through the menu, so far have never made a bad choice. In the week it has a lovely calm atmosphere and it's great for meeting up with a friend or family meal. Of a Saturday it can be really noisey, I think they higher the music up to try and compensate but it just adds to the volume. As the restaurant is open plan it can become an issue. My advice is to always book in advance as it does get busy. The meals are reasonable in price and are large portions. The drink selection is fantastic for beer and wine lovers alike and plenty of gins and snapps on offer so do take advantage.

Was attracted to this restaurant by a friends recommendation. Also a 50% discount for a special January menu was too tempting to pass up. I arrived with my partner at around 2.30pm on a Friday afternoon. The place was not busy at this time but there was a few diners there. We went to the bar and were greeted by welcoming member of staff and took us to our table. He explained the menus and took our drinks order. Pleasant and polite. A pleasant waitress returned to take out food order and we ordered the two starters of ham croquettes which were light and tasty. Mains of mushroom spetzle and Ham, egg and chips. The mushroom dish was full of flavour and very tasty. Cooked very nice. It was like a version of carbonara. The ham was a steak sized of meat and was also very tasty. Slightly salty but was well complimented by the side of triple cooked chips. Big chunks of potato chips that were boiled, steamed and fried if I remember correctly. The accompanying caralmalised onions put the meal together. Very enjoyable. I would hope to return soon as this was great value for our 50% off meal. Even at full price this would still be recommended. I will look forward to more special offers from this restaurant. There is still a good selection from the menu I would like to try.

A great selection of German and other beers, from Pilsners to Sours. You can get 1/3 pint tasting boards too. The food is great, mixing anglo and Germanic traditional foods. Limited vegan options/veggie, but there is some. The bar/restaurant itself is excellent, really nice, a couple of table top fire pits (yes really). Staff are excellent. Overall, my favourite bar in Liverpool if I have some extra cash (it's very pricey but worth every penny).

Albert Schenke is a good little restaurant bar that opened very recently in Liverpool and it replaced the Hanover street social bar/restaurant that was previously there. I am at a loss why it closed but it has and is now Albert Schenke. I have been to the Albert Schenke a number of times now and find it to be a very pleasing pleasant bar/restaurant. They have a little inducement too which I think is inspired but I don't know if I should tell you this..... Through the week before 5.00 the meals you order are 50%off heh, and so now everyone will be going to Albert Schenke and you won't be disappointed. Its a really good place to eat drink and be merry.

A fresh open space restaurant and Bier haus boasting a wide variety of brews. Our waiter Ian was kind enough to suggest 6 beers of his recommendation when we ordered a 6 beer tasting flight (£10). While we didn't like all of them, it was fun to try beers completely different to what we were used to. On to the food, for the starters the Burrata served with tomatoes, basil and a wonderfully fragrant fresh pesto. Also the Haus hummus spiced with harissa, sprinkled with crispy chickpeas and pomegranates served with a charred flat bread. Delicious. For the main we opted for the Berliner Spiced Lamb Kebab. A generous large flat bread smothered in hummus and aioli, topped with yummy seasoned pulled lamb. The addition of pickled fennel, toasted almonds, apricots and a haus chilli sauce gave the dish an amazing depth and contrast of flavour. The pickled fennel was a stand out addition. Also chosen was the 3 wursts with crispy potatoes and onions served with gravy. I forget the name of the dish, but it was 3 different sausage types which included THE most succulent bratwurst we'd ever tried and a wonderful chorizo. The accompanying gravy was insanely savoury and moreish...I was dipping my flat bread into it. 😂
