The young lady at our hotel advised us about Jenever, 90+ gins to sample and discuss. Top class staff, knowledgeable about their gins and how to present them. Introduced to The Ginsmith of Liverpool. Interestingly they present it differently than the bar where the vin is distilled..... Who knows?

Everything was explained well and the chosen flavours paired with their particular tonics were delicious. We are all devoted converts to favoured gins and definitely will be back for more. Brilliant little bar we popped in here last week while we was visiting friends in Liverpool, they have an amazing selection of Gins. At least over 150 to choose from!! The staff were amazing and very knowledgeable about the Gins, there recommendations were perfect Thanks girls :) , anything we asked for was no bother at all. Will be most definitely returning for a few more Gins.

Really great place; we went for the gin tasting and had a really good time. They're under new management as of last month, so I can't really comment on the previous reviews. The drinks were great, and staff were friendly and mostly (more on that later) very helpful at recommending and explaining the drinks. Our gin tasting options were well presented and contained a good selection of different gins, fruit, and tonics. My only complaint would be that for a total gin and tonic novice I wasn't completely sure on what I was doing (I overhead that we should add a lot of ice for example), and the explanation of what should go with what and how we should construct our drinks could have been better. Only a mild complaint for an otherwise great time though!

Incredible! the barman is very polite and he will give you recommendations depending on you want. The drinks are amazing, the bar is focused on gins and they have nothing to pretend. The atmosphere is chilled, frequented by locals above 25.

Love this place! Pre-evening-meal drink with my girlfriend. If you like gin they have over 120 now. The staff and owner very kindly took some time to speak to us for a while too, great people! An absolute gem on Hope St, keep doing what you're doing! 🙌

Excellent selection of gins, and the staff were happy for us to try a few first. Seaweed gin, is apparently the one, so my gitlfriend tried and did approve! Pricey place but really nice atmosphere with a few games on the tables too, which is a nice touch!

For a bar on hope Street this place needs some attention. They want to have a top class gin bar but sadly the decor made me feel like I was in a travel lodge. There gin select is amazing but sadly there dry martini was a little wet. There gin and tonics are great so the top tip would be stick with them.

Wow! This is probably my new favourite Liverpool bar. The bar staff are fantastic; they really give the impression that they were having a good time. They are more than happy to let you give a few of thier 90+ gins a sniff and really know their stuff. The prices are reasonable. For a gin you are looking at £3.50 to £5.50 plus a flat £2 to make it a double. Even if gin isn't your thing then they have a decent lager on tap, a couple of good whiskeys and the usual selection of spirits and mixers. Between great bartenders, quality clientele and clean décor I'd recommend Jenever to almost anybody.

I went here with a couple of friends on a bar crawl a few weeks back and we each had a different gin cocktail at the suggestion of the bar man. Excellent drinks all around, particularly a Welsh gin that we had. Lovely inside, friendly and great drinks... I highly recommend this bar!

Lovely little place, pub games to play whilst gin tasting. Only criticism - would be perfect with a few bar snacks other than crisps and nuts such as bread and olives, mixed meat and cheese platter but thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Gin lovely, expensive, but huge range. Unfortunately all staff totally oblivious to customers, spending all afternoon on couch on their phones. We probably would have tried more, but difficult to place an order or get their attention.

A diamond of a gin bar, small but perfectly formed. The current owner welcomed us in from the door and made sure we were comfortable from the start. Very attentive and the bar staff were great. Recommended some smashing gins, some neat some with tonic and all with bags of flavour. Found my new favourite drink- Opihr Gin with Cherry Tonic and Chillies- wow! We payed for the 1st round then a dangerously helpful tab helped us through a few more. Also please try the seaweed gin with cracked black pepper & the yorkshire tea gin ( it does taste of a nice cuppa rosie)

Nice spot but the gin tasting 'experience' is a bit of a let down, essentially a tray of gin at the standard price and an underwhelming fact sheet about each. Extra tonic is pricey too.

Fabulous collection of world gins. Great atmosphere with really attentive and friendly staff. A speciality gin nd tonic will set you back about £7.50 but it's worth it. This really is one of Liverpool's hidden gems.

Visited here yesterday for the 1st time and as a Gin virgin, well what can I say, spoke to the Manageress on our way in who was so lovely and welcoming, and she advised me what to try, it was a Larius Rose with lemo and I really enjoyed it, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming and it was nice to be made to feel welcome somewhere not just a punter handing over ya money at the bar, I would most definitely recommend this place and will most certainly be going back.
