Friendly, lively atmosphere for a late afternoon drink. Irish sports icons on the walls. TV screens and no distractions of noisy background music. just the sound of people chatting which was a refreshing change.

I was in town for a few hours last Thursday night before a flight home. There was live music on here so I popped in. Good choice. The three bar staff that were on duty were all very friendly and the service was excellent. There were various live musicians on through the evening and they were also very good, performing a mix of Irish ballads and other favourites from the 60s onwards. The atmosphere was lively, convivial and most enjoyable. There could be a few more Irish beers in the selection to add a touch more authenticity but that's only a small gripe. There are lots of great bars in Liverpool but I'll definitely be back here again!

a good pub i was in this pub pre covid after a Liverpool west ham game what a mighty crack was had great sing song and friendly atmosphere, arrived the next day for the cure and still the same amazing crack was going food was good and the pints were on the ball.

Great, lively pub, with brilliant live music on weekend nights. They show all sports during the day on TV and on big screen and try to accommodate everyone. The staff are super friendly and helpful and can't do enough to help. They are always willing to help or just have a chat and a laugh. Well worth a visit or two. 😉

Visited Saturday 4th of July which was the first day back after lockdown . The lads had it under control , good beer , good seating and good tunes on . I didn’t have any cash to tip so I said I’d leave Jack and the lads a good review so here it is . See you soon boys .

As part of my 'stag do' in the city of Liverpool last weekend, our party of gentlemen came across this bar. We decided to go in for a drink after one of said party heard the song 'The Fields of Athenry' blaring out. We ordered a round of drinks and it became clear this was an 'Irish bar'. One of our party had a view of the royal family that may not be everybody's cup of tea but as we live in a so called democracy, he let his voice be heard ,loudly, and we carried on drinking. We were given free shots(cherry vodka) as far as i recall which were not the best but most welcome. Another round of shots (vanilla vodka) went down much easier. I have no recollection of food at all so cant comment on that. Great bar,great prices,great music and there might be food too. Cheers!!!

Would just like to say that Josh Culkin went above an beyond to help a customer. I found myself using the pubs amenities after a few tasty Guinness' had resulted in bowl movements. Once on the toilet I dropped the toilet role an needed assistance. Josh was on hand to straight away. He took his Everton top off without a moment of hesitation an allowed me to clean myself up using the garment. Whilst stood outside the cubicle he whispered soothingly Samuel L. Jackson quotes to me to aid in my moment of embarrassment. For this attention to detail towards customer care I would like to recommend Josh Culkin for top pint puller of the year!!
