This is the 3rd NQ64 bar we've been to after Edinburgh & Soho. I've got to say they're consistently brilliant! If you're in anyway into Retro arcade games or old school console games with fun, creative & tasty cocktails! This is the place to visit! Friendly staff with a wide range of gaming knowledge plus a variety of craft beers in stock too! Awesome music on play all night! I'd not just recommend this one but definitely go to your nearest city NQ64, they're amazing!

Being there lots of times. The music is right up to our alley, and it’s not extremely loud so we can talk and heard the machines properly. The drinks are quite nice and the place is clean. The machine are in good conditions and I liked that they put more space to leave the drink in between machines. The only thing that has gotten worse is the staff, they use to be really nice and cheerful, the guy that serve us on the 4th of august was proper miserable, put a face when I asked him to buy some coins for the machines. He and another guy behind the bar looked like they loathed every minute they spend there. Shame cuz it brings the vibe down. If you ignore them two, the place is boss and really fun.

Great idea and lovely venue, but the machines are relatively limited and trying to get a console (which didn't require purchased tokens and thus could be used indefinitely) was a chore. Waited about 20 minutes for the dance machine but the queue never got smaller! Loved the venue though and the tokens (one of which I kept as a souvenir) were a great addition. Maybe additional seating, and some kind of time moderation for the consoles would make this even better! Would try again on a quieter evening maybe.

Great place to go for a bit of nostalgia and a few drinks. Me and the wife went during a trip to Liverpool for the night and we loved it. Loads of retro games from pac man to pinball. Machines all worked and are well upkept. All the staff were friendly and there was a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend a visit.

I love it here! Always bring friends as it's a great place to experience for the first time. Tokens are reasonably priced, the aesthetic of the shop is very retro, and it always smells really good :))

Very fun to spend an afternoon playing some old school arcade games and drink some pretty funky cocktails. Sometimes the machines eat your tokens but the staff are usually pretty good at sorting that out for you.

Great idea. Consoles are free but you're encouraged to buy a drink. It's £5 for 15 tokens and most games are 1 token each. Some are 2 tokens. Music is a little loud but enjoyed the UV lighting. Over 30 iconic games to enjoy.

Gaming is not my thing but this was loads of fun. Not a huge place, but it's well laid out. Staff friendly, great value for money. No one seemed to hog the machines. Its not very geeky, more of a cool retro vibe. Definitely somewhere worth visiting.

This is a great unique place, in a brilliant location of Liverpool. The decor is really unique and fitting with the retro theme. There is a good choice of games machines, some of which require tokens and some are free to play. It's £6 for 15 tokens, which is very reasonable, considering the prices in arcades nowadays. I really liked the little tables next to the games machines as they were handy for drinks, and some of them even had hooks on for coats and bags. The games machines themselves were great, I especially liked the dance machine as well as the Crazy Taxi one. Overall, both me and my partner were very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our rather unique date night! We would definitely return for another visit.

I really enjoyed NQ64, even though the last game I completed was Alex Kidd on the Sega Master System which should give you some idea of my current gaming abilities. If, like me, the latest console controllers send you into a button-mashing frenzy of incompetence, you'll find consoles from a simpler time which you play for free, so just challenge your friends to a game of Bomberman to level the playing field 😁 Tokens for the arcade games were £7 for 15, so not too bad for an afternoon of fun nostalgia - most of my tokens went on the Bubble Bobble arcade game, addictive as ever, and I loved that the OutRun racing machines connected for a four-way race. The cocktails were fantastic, absolutely delicious and full of flair - annoyingly I didn't get a photo of my cocktail being set on fire but it was spectacular in such a dark bar! Would definitely go again.

Great way to spend an hours or so something a bit different and fun. Some classic retro arcade games. Cool decor. Collect tokens at the bar. There are free games console games too. It's not a huge place, there could be many other games and ideas to add. There is a bar. Not wheelchair accessible as far as I could tell, as its located in the lower floor via external stairs. Edit date: Sept 21 - got Pac Man high score! There should be a high score board up near the bar.

Really cool design. Good selection of games. Really fun to play. The only reasons I docked a few points were because the machines were packed quite close together when it was getting busy, the toilets were really close to the games so we’re difficult to get to. There weren’t many drinks to choose from and there wasn’t anywhere to put your drink whilst playing. Also £6 for 15 tokens is quite expensive when most of the games are 2 tokens a go.

As a lover of retro games this sort of place is my nirvana. They sold drinks and had handy little tables dotted about which was great for playing the games. There was a lot of choice, from gun games to side scrollers to pinball, many classics all under one roof The price to play was very reasonable in my opinion - easy to lose a few hours in here

Was slightly disappointed in this place, I myself am not into games but my fiancé is and he said himself it was a lot smaller than he expected. Token prices are very cheap, drinks a little more expensive than average. But if you come here to play the games and have some drinks I’m sure it’s fine. It’s probs best not to go with someone who isn’t into gaming. He said if he came back he’d come with friends. I expected there to be a place away from the machines to sit down. But if you are into gaming and with people who like gaming then I’m sure this is a great place just not idea for a date night if your partner doesn’t like games 😂

Great bar and amazing cocktails! The decoration of the bar is amazing and really sets the mood, and the arcade games are brilliant. £6 for 15 tokens with most machines taking 2 tokens each, but the consoles (classics! SNES, PS1, game cube etc..) are all free! Had so much fun and will be returning!

Favourite place in town, arcades and beer are a winning combo.. crowd used to be really friendly, but more and more these days it's attracting the rowdy wannabe hardman roidrage coked up scumbags that infest this cities night life, and are the current driving force behind the massive increase in unprovoked random violent attacks that make the city centre a no go zone after dark. Not the fault of the venue at all, but clientele have a big impact on atmosphere.. Most places have a bad, tense atmosphere these days.

Me and my friend decided to try out this place and we are glad we did, the arcade machines are in immaculate condition, the place had a great atmosphere to it and it had a wide array of machines to choose from and at 5 pound for 15 tokens it was an absolute bargain as most machines take 1 to 2 tokens. We got about an hour and a halves worth of fun for 5 pound. They also have classic consoles going from the ps2 to the mega drive which where all free and a blast to play. The one blip we had when went there was the service. Me and my friend work in the service industry so we know its not an easy job by any measure. But there was no reason for how rude one of the members of staff was to us. They made us feel like we had ruined there day just for wanting to buy tokens for the machines. We even wanted a drink later on and we looked at the bar to see it was only that person serving so we decided against it. I don't want to be horrible to this person but we should not have felt uncomfortable to go and ask for a drink. Apart from that we had a ball and we decided we are going back again because the pros did out weigh the cons in the end

Awesome selection of games from the 90s and classic era including point blank, turtles and Pac-Man. Music too loud and graffiti isn’t cool but really enjoyed the games. Good selection of people in there too from younger to older. Works on a token system which is pretty fair and you’ll be there for about an hour with a fivers worth of tokens. Parking around the area and in a cool part of town.

It can be confusing on how much you have to pay for some games. You don't know if it's a token for one player or for two for instance. Also the GameCube needs more games than just Double Dash. Would've been great to play some Melee. Overall I would recommend.

What a great place! I opened the doors of this bar just to be taken straight back to my childhood!!! I could already hear the sound of the guns blasting enemies on time crisis, the sweet Goldeneye theme close to the bar and people laughing after a car crash on burnout.. so many arcades to try so many memories to create... This is one of the best place in Liverpool!!!
