Absolutely amazing afternoon or evening out!! Bar isn't too pricey and there is constant live music! Sports on lots of huge T.Vs as well so caters for everyone! Lots of seating and really chilled out. Absolutely love it and always come here when I visit Liverpool, lots of potential for photos for tourists too! Definitely visit :)

Great venue, with good music, and even better staff. Tash (manager) in particular, is fantastic - I lost my phone while in Liverpool for the weekend. After verifying the phone was mine, Tash couldn’t do enough to help me – she even posted my phone to me to save me the hassle of travelling back to get it! Will definitely return the next time we are in Liverpool.

I recently visited and immediately loved the place! they have 3 different bars, each with a unique vibe. When I visited they had live music on which was excellent, all the staff were friendly and the drinks were fairly priced. I would absolutely recommend this bar. Unfortunately, while I was there, I fell very ill, but the bouncers and staff were all exceptionally kind and looked after me, even helping me into a taxi to get home. I had left my phone at the bar, and when I went to pick it up the next day not only were the staff, again, incredibly kind and helpful, they had also charged my phone, and even recognised me and said they were glad I was looking better. Overall, a fantastic bar. I will be recommending it to everyone I know :)

Noisy. Seats are LOW lounge chairs or table chairs. But in short supply. Live music most of the time. Beer and soft drinks will cost you a tenner plus for 4 people. Mathew street location facing the cavern club. Cashing in on the name. Ok fo one drink. Noisy music.

I went here with my wife in the evening. I'd already had a pint too many. I asked if they would make me a coffee and to my surprise they agreed and one of bar staff went off to the back room to brew one up. And it was nice. I was very grateful that they would go out of their way even though the place was really busy.

Good duo playing on a Thursday night. Prices not bad either. I went to the bar and asked for a pint of offshore pilsner. Barman didn’t know what I was on about and I had to show him where the tap was. Pint was served in wrong glass.

The rubber soul is friendly and spacious in the one main room. A good array of seats and standing room and is one of the few places with regular bands and solo singers on even on a midweek afternoon. Prices are very reasonable on pints but they don't have a doubles bar.

Always heaving, so trying to get served can be a while, staff are lovely and friendly. brilliant music modern and old school style the dj keeps it fresh and flows through all the styles with ease, always have a good dance in there, and good atmosphere

Watched England beat Sweden here on giant screens great atmosphere, 2 pints for a fiver can't be bad. Barstaff very quick to serve. Had a great time after the game because live musicians started playing New and classic songs to sing along to. Had to much fun.

Rubber soul has to be one of the main and probably one of the biggest bars on Mathew st. Air conditioned, fast staff behind bar and it’s always chocker. Music is more 70,80 & 90s now. If your not from Liverpool then I’d say this is definitely a must go to bar especially for groups. Door staff always nice and professional too!!

I was in here on the Thursday evening (4th January), was just walking past and seen a unbelievable offer £1.60 pints, got speaking to the manager (well he reckons, think his name was Ben), he seemed like he had customers interest at heart, making sure heating was just right (liaising with staff), colleagues was more than happy that they had the Spurs vs West Ham game on PROPER sky, none of that dodgy stuff. Live music by solo guitarist. Highly recommend! Amazing live music! Amazing bar staff and management! ***** 5 Star
