E. M. B.Staff very friendly and helpful. The owner however seems very suspicious of new customers. Would have been put off by him normally. The interaction with other customers belayed my feelings of being unwanted by their friendly demeanour.

A. M.There's lots of micro pubs popping up in the area but this one is by far the best. The owners are really friendly and welcoming. There's always a great selection of beers, a lot of which are from local breweries. It's a great place to have some banter with the other customers. Dog friendly and it helps that it's at the bottom of my road.

The corner post comprises one main room with a small but neat bar tucked into a corner featuring four ever changing cask ale pumps that feature beer from local, regional and national breweries all kept in excellent condition. A cider is often usually available as well. Bottled beers are on offer if cask ale is not your thing.
If your feeling hungry then locally made pies from Satterthwaites. As per the micro pub formula there is no TV and no music. Dogs are also welcome.
