I was disappointed that my pizza was missing the goat's cheese (they didn't advise me of that when I ordered) and my Nan found the veg undercooked on the carvery but that's a matter of preference.

M.Carvery was very nice and the meat was generously sliced from the chef that served me, good selection of vegetables, seating area was clean and the drinks were reasonably priced, could of been 5 stars but my visit was let down by the Toilets, the Gents absolutely stunk of urine and the toilet seat was broken, I was actually going to try a desert but after leaving the toilets, I just wanted to go home.

J. C.We arrived at noon for a carvery. The pub restaurant was clean and spacious with plenty of tables. There is a car park outside. Food was freshly cooked and very tasty.
R. G.Cheap and cheerful backstreet pub, nice surroundings but the menu is variable. Pizzas very nice beef burgers not so much. Chicken burgers nice, carvery beef not so much. Don't sit to close to the carvery/pizza oven because the ice cream machine is sooooo loud!

S.Booked for 10 people & when we arrived we was informed there had been an emergency in the kitchen & food may be slow, no worries things happen out of staffs control but still, Angela shevaughn & Dan the chef went out of their way to ensure all 10 of us had the correct food & sides especially as everyone ordered something different. Kids were sorted quickly though & drinks & puds were always swiftly brought over. Just wanted to say a big thanks to all the staff for making sure we all enjoyed our meal., the service was excellent!

Met at the door by a friendly and efficient greeter who turned out to also be our waitress. Booking confirmed and brought to our table.
She told us the procedure for ordering and getting our food.
One person orders at bar and when the chef calls us, we are to go to the carvery. As we are 1 pod we can all go together.
Meats are turkey and gammon. The veg was displayed very well. Carrots, cauliflower, mash and roast spuds. All were excellent .. well done. And hot.
Nothing left on anyone's plate.
We had desserts, ice cream, strawberry trifle for me, cherry cheesecake for the brother.
I had a pint of ale which was clear and excellent.
The pub was more steady than very busy. I did notice that all customers were brought to their tables at entry.
Overall, no hesitation at giving 5 stars and I will go back next time I'm in Lpool.

B.This is one of a number of Stonehouse's we have visited, and unfortunately, it wasn't the best. The food was ok, but was very lacking in the way of flavour. The toasties were rock hard and the mash was super bland. The staff were lovely though!

S. B.Food was OK but when we booked we did say we had 2 wheelchairs, but was allocated a normal table for 4, thought we would of been given a large table as with a normal table for 4 there is not a lot of room with 2 wheelchairs.
e. t.Good enough. Staff were a bit slow. Would have got another star if they'd been more on the ball. When we got there there was tables needed cleaning off. So we had problems finding somewhere to sit. No cutlery on the table so had to hunt some down. When my partner went up for the carvery the chef was changing the turkey so he had a wait. Then the pork needed changing so he had a wait for that. I'd finished eating by the time he got back with his plate. Food was good enough for the price. Tap Beer was good. Dessert took ages to arrive and was luke warm. Had to ask for a sundae dish for my partner as he was having the unlimited ice cream.

P. M.Haven't been here for a while. My mum requested to go here on mothers day so we just turned up. Quickly got a table, staff very helpful taking us to our seat. One of the best carveries I have ever ate. Good selection of food and all the veg was cooked properly with nothing being hard and undercooked. My family and I where all happy and full when we left. Recommended by the experience we had on a very busy day, well done The Greenhills.

N. V.Ordered a small carvery. When a very small plate was given to me I asked for a bigger plate. Not because I wanted more meat but I wanted my food on a plate, not a mound. I thought the lady server was rather dismissive and she checked that I had paid for the meal. She refused to give me a larger plate so I cancelled my order. My wife and mum in law went up next, both were given a large plate by a male server. If I see her again I will not order. What is the policy re the plate sizes? Usually its very good with helpful staff but I may not go again.

L. B.Bang average since being taken over. One man on carvery so big delays when they need to refill certain items available. Meat is not always the best and can be quite tough and over done. Always low on the condiments such as mint sauce and gravy, long time taken to refil. Staff can be quite hard to get a hold of when needed.

A. N.Great Sunday carvery. Popular with larger groups and families. Convenient with good parking facility right outside. Food is ways spot on and is great value for money.
S.Food is okay, never the same since it changed to incuded the pizza section. Staff not particularly helpful, you have to work out the system yourself I.e find a table, where/how to order. I won't be going again but use to go quite often when it was the former carvery.

s. g.Large pub, carvery, good selection of beers, lagers, wines, soft drinks, tea coffee etc, family friendly, group friendly, very good food, staff great, friendly, helpful, nothing to much trouble, outside seating, easy parking and access - very enjoyable - on down side, you have to find your own table, which when busy and you are with kids/elderly is a pain, as no advance booking, plus, soft drinks are very expensive.
