After a walk along Crosby beach we stopped off at this lovely pub. The dogs and us made to feel very welcome by the staff and locals. Good food, and the dogs enjoyed their sausages 🐶🐺🐶🐺

Very nice steake chips peas onion rings pepper saurse and a pint of birra morretti .very nice staff .outdoor beer garden swings slide deffo coming again. The only thing letting it down was paying £31 for the meals with a tiny drop of pepper sauce.

Really nice pub, great bar staff, very friendly! Inside is a bit jaded but still nice. The outside is superb though, nice berr garden with trestles and good tables and heaters on hand to keep you warm. Plenty of tables too and a play area for children. Plus san miguel! Outstanding.

Great beer garden and atmosphere. Only problem is they stopped serving food at 7pm on a Saturday. Group of us had to leave because we weren’t able to bring a slice of pizza in which other pubs in the area allow you to do if no food service.

Now a green king pub (which is an improvement). It is kid and dog friendly with a large beer garden and play area. It's nice to see an improved beer selection. I think the poor staff are a bit over run as there were outside tables covered with plates and glasses.

Absolutely loved it . Went inside to ask are they showing Formula 1 .one of the male staff went out of his way to accommodate us . Made us feel very comfortable and that's what real hospitality is . We had Sunday roast and halloumi and chips . Food was great and tasty . Thank you so much for this amazing experience. I will be back soon for sure 🙏

Just had a lovely meal in this pub. Excellent waitress, friendly, polite and efficient. Great value for money £56 for a two course meal for three adults, plus 4 drinks. Good choice. The place gets lively of a night time and will often have good quality live music on. There are a selection of real ales on tap as well as the usuals, plus the staff are amiable, and not without wit. The beer garden is large and well set out; there is space for the kids to play as well as benches and tables to drink up. In the daytime food is served; the portions are generous and the quality reasonable.

Great pub i had a mixed grill from here, it was huge! very good value for money and it was perfectly cooked. They also have a seniors menu which extremely good value but you must be over 60. Really good music on Friday / Saturday most weeks and the odd festival in the year outside I can't say more really, never had to wait to long for my beer either.

In August they have a 1 day ukulele festival which we have been to today, Brilliant it is and very well attended by adults and families, raises funds for a few local charities too which is great of course. Went for early evening seniors meal. Limited menu but what do you expect for £3.99 for 2 courses? Food arrived within good time was piping hot and tasty. Would recommend for the food. The place itself is rather sad and soulless, a bit dusty in need of major investment to smarten the place up. Not a patch on what out was 30 years ago. Very sad really but still worth a visit to try out the food.

Not been here for more than a few years was a little disappointed to see the bowling green gone and replaced by a scattered beer garden and play area. Beyond that it's found a balance, while keeping the visible history and tradition, drink and food availability and menus are fresh, served by young efficient honest staff.

Really good menu that is mostly well priced. The service could have been better as I had to ask for things like sauces and they brought part of my meal out on a separate plate because the butcher had only just delivered it. Suppose you know it’s fresh though!

Very nice interior and bar, and we made good use of the garden too, but we ordered food while it was quiet and got served basic freezer to fryer food only an hour and a half later after all the new customers were made priority. That wasn't worth the pricing.
