Went today 2/10/22 with my husband. I booked on line and turned up at 1-40pm Hannah couldn’t find my booking (stupid me I had booked 2-40pm by mistake ) Between Jon the manager and Hannah they found us a table, even though the restaurant was extremely busy. Their customer service was second to none. Most restaurants would have said your too early and I’d have excepted that. But not this one !!! Food was really nice And every member of staff were really nice. Well done, First visit, won’t be my last.

Some good and some bad points. Food is always spot on. A lot of the staff are absolutely lovely, very polite and great service. When it's off peak it's even better in here and very relaxing. Down side is when they are busy. I asked to order dessert several times to a male staff member who I think may have been some sort of manager only to be left and ignored. You can feel the stress when they are busy which kind of ruins the experience. Also, on hotter days it's unbearably hot. And I mean unbearable. I understand it's a carvery but it wouldn't kill to invest in a fan or AC instead of customers getting heat stroke.

Called in to the carvery to collect a 'Too good to go' deal. Clean and tidy restaurant. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Food was ready, prepared, packed and waiting for collection. Ample portions.

Came for breakfast, 30/10. Food was OK, but a bit bland. I could certainly tell that the produce used where not of the highest standard, but what do you expect when the prices they charge for an 'all you can eat' meal are so cheap. Surroundings are tired, but clean. Staff are very helpful, happy and curtious. All in all, it was exactly what I was expecting for the price I paid.

The carvery queue was quite long which was to be expected on Sundays but there was quite a bit of food that had been dropped in the queueing area. To be fair this would likely have been difficult to clean with the traffic. There was unfortunately no turkey left which was the only meat my daughter would usually have but staff were really accomodating and let her have a sausage which was so appreciated. Staff were pleasant and our waitress was really friendly and kind.

On are visit it was my father in-laws 80th when we booked there was 2 bookings in different places and you were pritty busy !! The host and the young ladie getting married who waited on us were fantastic.. he managed to sort us with a table big enough for all the family.. I've also got to mention the 2 chiefs out front both were great they really knew there stuff very very accommodating there work station was immaculate even though there carving 4 meats sausages crackling Yorkshire puds I think you get me lol high hygiene standards.. 10 out of 10 guys

Never had a bad meal yet, stay sure extremely friendly, lovely lady called Catherine looked after us last week, very personable and professional. Seated us by the wwindow on a hot day, lovely and clean, and quickly took out drinks order. (which arrived very quickly) we were then told where to go to get the Carvery, a good selection of meat available, gammon, pork, beef & turkey. (a decent sozed portion given too) along with yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast potatoes, carrots, green beans, Cauliflour cheese, cabbage, mashed potatoes and peas.. With lots of gravy, mint sauce a d cranberry (please dont judge me 😂) i was a very happy man. This s my 8th visit this year is so good and very reasonable... And I'll definitely be coming back 10/10

Me and the wife our vegetarians, and we both like the Mushroon @ Ale Pie, it is superb for the price, and pay alot more for the same meal in the Stanley Gate, Bickerstaffe. What I have noticed, and have informed management is that the Vegetarian Gravey is always lumpy and congealed texture that's not very nice, but everything else seems fine.

Staff are always pleasant and help in any way they can. Been coming here for years and never had a problem that couldn't be sorted out (not that its happened often). Would always recommend eating here ant time of day, even for a cooked breakfast. Never fails to please.

We come out our way to come to this Toby Carvery simply for the fact the food is so delicious, the staff are so welcoming and friendly and there is so much space to relax and eat. You get a good option of a regular size plate or a large. I chose a large and turned in to a mountain of food. I recommend getting a refillable drink as there are so many great choices in the machine. Downfall was one of the locks in the cupicals in the mens had no lock on but everything else is perfect

My husband and I have just been to the Toby Carvery at Aintree. We had not booked but Mandy was so helpful and found a table for us. Jodie our server was very pleasant and helped me find my Blue Light discount code. Jake the young man carving the meat was so friendly and chatting with all the customers as he was serving them. I only had the pork and beef and both were cooked perfectly so well done to the chef. It was a very enjoyable experience. Well done Toby Carvery Aintree for the lovely staff you employ.

Superb hospitality from Nikki the host manager and Angie our waitress. Hot food, freshly made and decent meat portions. Didn’t get the chefs name but she was friendly and fair. Not a great experience yesterday - no eggs at all, no baked beans, no home-made potato hash, no brown sauce. We weren't made aware of shortages when we arrived. The food that was available was only warm, not hot. It's a pity as we have enjoyed going there in the past but won't be going for breakfast again.

We visit this place every couple of months. The staff here are always welcoming and will do what they can to help. We called in on Sunday on the spur of the moment & arrived when it was full to say the least! The people at the reception desk took a few minutes but found two empty tables for two. There were 4 of us & the tables were quite spaced apart but we were happy all we wanted was to eat. The ladies who looked after us were quite funny passing messages between our two tables & looking after us really well.

On the whole, it was a good visit. The only problem we encountered was a shortage of eggs for the breakfast. This was probably due to the fact they're cooked as they're needed, and people tend to take more than one. The Santa's grotto was fine and the team working there were friendly and good fun. I would add, the staff at this location are generally always polite, helpful and friendly, even when you can see they're very busy.

Great food and staff are very welcoming my only criticism and that of others that I have spoken to is they could give you proper slices of meat not slithers you could hardly say you get a full slice of what you ask for, plus there is no freshly cooked vegetables like other carveries I've been to it's mostly tinned with cauliflower cheese which doesnt belong on a roast dinner. What I've had was very tasty and well cooked. I would say it's great value for money

Can't fault it. Foods always great, staff always nice. Didn't catch her name but the lady with the blue hair was very polite and attentive to us throughout our visit. Will be back again, but last 2 visits no straws so might just bring some with us

Booked online and arrived and no one was there to check you in after 8 minute wait. Get notification on phone that they are sorry I did not turn up? Looks bad next time I book. Order 2 breakfasts, 1 being veggie. 5 minutes later told there are no veggie sausages, if they are not in then they should know at the till or even offer a free coffee or orange juice as a gesture.....nothing. meat sausages were very poor quality, might have been safe to be called a veggie sausage. Mushrooms were great and bacon too. Will try again as I do like Torby breakfast and a great price too.

Loads of free parking. Disabled friendly. Polite and friendly staff. Very reasonably priced food. The breakfasts here are always great value for money and are rather tasty. You can help yourself to your food again after the rule changes during the pandemic.

Great table staff. Chef's left us standing without a word, while they filled some takeaway orders. Would have been good customer service to just say "I'll be with you in 2 minutes". This is by far the best Toby carvery I have been to. The staff were amazing, the food was delicious the service was exemplary. The only thing which let it down slightly was there was no mashed potatoe at the carvery, however this did not diminish the deliciousness of the meal. Will definitely be going back and I would highly recommend to anyone.

You know exactly what you're getting here. Packed out as usual on a Sunday , food constantly topped up at carvery. Staff work hard and our waitress was lovely. Only gripe? Roast potatoes! They were tiny and a bit greasy .

Fantastic Toby but view does not hold a flame to toby Etruria Stoke-on-Trent. But Toby is usually good clean and fun you don't get views like Etruria at any. Newton Abbot Devon would be like Aintree but Aintree be one out of 2

The carvery is really tasty and satisfies your cravings for a Sunday roast. I would go again for this alone. On the negative side, there were too many things unavailable. Two prominently displayed draught beers were not available, as were several items from the dessert menu. However, given the low price, I would still be happy to eat here again. I mean, roast potatoes in beef dripping. Yum.

Had carvery roast beef was tough. Turkey was good. Asked for dessert all ordered, we chose ice cream sundae. To be told no ice cream. Machine broken. So we ordered apple pie and custard. To be told no apple pie. We were told there was apple crumble. So we choose that X3 plus 1 cake. We got our crumble but it was not was was she told us. It was rubbarb crumble, which was not even on the menu. Staff very apologetic overall disappointed. Was told by staff Mondays are a bad day for running out of items on menu especially if they had a busy weekend.

This is hearty, filling food in large quantities, but the attention to detail in the cooking is really lacking. Gammon too salty, veg overcooked and left too long under a heat lamp, and gravy with a powerful flavour of stock cubes. I had a lovely family time there, but there are certainly better roasts elsewhere.

I recently went there for my birthday celebration, with my two daughters' & boyfriend of youngest daughter, when booking our table it was noted by Toby Carvery, Aintree, that it was for a birthday treat, we arrived at our table where there was balloons set out on the table, I thought that gesture was a really nice touch by them. The food in Toby Carvery is excellent, with the meats being so succulent. The waiting on staff are so courteous & respectful, nothing is too much trouble for them. The dining area is well kept & clean, as are the toilet facilities. Our visit there that day was absolutely brilliant, a good time was had, for our table of 4 happy customers.

Went there last week with my son. The service was really good, the staff were really friendly and helpful, I have ms and they made sure I was looked after. Can't give a 5 star rating because the carvery was dreadful, the veg was dried up I couldn't cut most of it ( and it had nothing to do with my ms) I could have cooked better myself and I hate cooking!

Excellent Service from Stacey really gave us a very welcoming visit as well as making sure that we was warm as we were seated by the entrance she was happy enough to just move us if we had a problem. However, not giving it a 5 star as there were 2 staff members behind the till didn't say a hello asoon as we walked up to the counter nor even look at us. Stacey was very busy serving a lot of other customers and still managed to serve us with a smile and provide amazing customer service when personally I thought she could use a little help with the amount of people that she had to serve and tend to their needs.

Food is always nice but there is a large mouldy damp patch on ceiling above the gravy bar which can't be healthy. Ive been there quite a few times and its getting worse. When I queried it with the bar guy it was glossed over. The food is good but not happy with food being served in close proximity to the damp We have returned several months later to check out the changes regarding the damp and it's now resolved which was great news. Food was nice and great service from our server Jay who was attentive and very helpful!

A nice carvery but nothing amazing. They where very busy on the Sunday we visited and as such the staff mostly ignored our table except to ask if the food was okay. I understand and whilst not complaining it did dampen the experience just a tad. Hence 3 starts and not 4. Food was standard carvery affair and tasted lovely. No complaints there. Place looked clean. Whilst staff where rushed and paid us little attention due to this, when they did they where friendly and polite.

Toby Carvery Aintree were fantastic when JustEat let me down. I ordered from Toby Carvery Aintree via JustEat last Sunday, and Just Eat let me down as thier delivery driver did not show at all. I rang Toby Carvery Aintree and even though it was not their delivery driver they did their best to sort out the issue for me and made sure I got the meal I ordered. And the meal was delicious as well!

Went here for a family meal. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The staff couldn’t do enough to make the our visit special. The food was delicious. Everything was hot and was fresh. The lad was so helpful. As soon as we walked in he told us there was a wait for beef on the carvery, sat us down, ordered drinks straight away and told us to go up whenever. Theresa came to see if our meals were okay and was brilliant with our daughter who is 2. We ordered deserts and then paid. Theresa told us to download the app and we received a loyalty stamp for our roast and 40% off our bill which ended today so that was brill. Our while experience was a fantastic one.
