Good food and good prices. Had a lovely party for Halloween 🥰. Also forgot to mention that the place looks really nice and well arranged as every table has it's privacy and lovely views. Also really nice outside with tables and a small playing area for children and private parking too with no payment. And the staff really nice and helpful. Thank you.

Came out for Date night with the wife. Great service, good atmosphere and we highly enjoyed ourselves. Really wanted to give 5 stars however steaks were rather randomly cooked 1 med rare to rare and 1 med to charcoal.. 6 stars to server Joseph he's cool. will likely come again with the kids. great parking and decent outdoor play area. outdoor seating available. soft drinks are a bit pricey.

Our group had a brilliant night for our U11s football team Christmas night out. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating setting up tables for the adults and children. The service was excellent by all staff particularly Karen who was really friendly to the boys, taking time to chat with them. The food was very good and was served really quickly considering there were over 25 meals to prepare for us. Well done to Josh the chef. Overall, an excellent visit and we would definitely come back again.

Took the family for a Sunday carvery. Was a bit disappointed at first table allocated but they quickly found a better table. We all had the carvery which was good value for money. A little suggestion would to be have little gravy boats so you can take extra gravy to the table especially with a big roast. Staff were friendly. Would recommend and go again.

It was our first time here. It has a friendly relaxing atmosphere. Staff were fantastic, curtious, friendly happy to help. Service with a big happy smile. My first time visit to this establishment and it won't be my last. Was greeted very warmly by either Paula or Vicky (can't remember) but both ladies were very friendly showing us our table and making our drinks. Our server was Joseph who was also so nice & friendly, he went above & beyond when we needed a few extra items at the table, he made us feel relaxed & nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious too..kudos to the kitchen. Will highly recommend 10/10

We arrived and was met by a lovely man i think was Phil the manager. He politely shown us to our table and explained how ordering food and drinks was made. We had gone for my granddaughters 7th birthday and they made everything a lovely experience for us. We was served and waited on by Karen and Michael and nothing was too much trouble for them. This was our first time here and will definitely be going back. Would highly recommend.

The experience was good. It makes a change going somewhere to eat, where you could sit and enjoy your meal without any problems with the food. When it came it was good quality and you didn't have to send it back. Me and my partner both really enjoyed our meals and have said we will be going back as the cavery looked delicious. We eat here every now and then, never had a bad experience. It's always clean, staff are helpful and the food has always been nice. It's not mind blowing but good pub grub. The carvery always goes down well but the rest of the menu is good too.

Came here 29th Booked for 3.30pm but was finished our shopping early I didn’t mind going and doing some more but thought would chance they might have a table Was very busy but thankfully there was one table free Kaitlyn said we could have The service was exception big friendly smiles made my day from Colette Connor liv and Kaitlyn Easy ordering via the orderbee app as the bar was busy The carvery was hot tasty and seasoned to perfection served by a wonderful chap called Matt The kids meal sausage and mash hit the spot with my autistic fussy 11 yr old and the little donuts made her so happy when they came to our table I would definitely used this pub for all our family treat meals

Visited this evening with family. Staff where great and nothing too much trouble. We booked but asked could we sit outside as the children wanted too play out there. Staff where very accommodating, went inside too order drinks and food, a young lady ‘Lucy” was really Pleasant and polite and actually occupied kids while I ordered, she also made sure we had all our cutlery/condiments for outside, really lovely girl, an an asset to the place. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. We had Sunday carvery which was really nice and tasty. Only downside was yorkshire puddings which were hard and greasy. Overall though we had a lovely lunch and will come back in the future.

We had a lovely meal at the Vikings Landing, everyone we spoke to made us feel so welcome. In particular, there was a gentleman named Tony behind the bar who was really friendly and went the extra mile to make our experience a good one, he stood out as having excellent customer service. Also, the two guys behind the carvery counter, were so nice and couldn’t do enough for us. Isn’t it lovely to have a fab experience when going out with family. Thank you, means the world.

It looks nice when you walk in. It was busy as it was Friday night we were also half hr early so table wasn't ready which is fine . I found the lads were a bit straight and a bit miserable if I am honest. The ladies were really nice. Blond lady behind the bar was running around to serve everyone she could and was really helpful. The waitresses one was really funny and asked if it was a birthday so she could sing. Improvements would be some seating at the bar as if you are not at a table there is nowhere for you to go. The food was of the standard I would expect of a chain. Chips were really greasy. But the rest was OK. I had surf and turf and the steak was actually a really nice piece and was cooked to my specifications so I was pleased with that. All in all it was a nice evening.

Meal with friends, steak night we all enjoyed, our meals plates nice and hot, service was very good especially Connor who was very attentive with a great personality, made our night. Me and 12 other people went here on the 13th of September for my mum's birthday. The staff were so friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The food was amazing! The staff even sand happy birthday to my mum! I would highly recommend to anyone!

Im a regular here at least once a week for food with either family or friends and never once since its opened have any of us had a meal sent back. Barstaff and waitresses lovely and Phil Manager goes above and beyond. Love it here and always will return!

Went for a carvery and finally it was lovely! Been a couple of times previously and the meat was dried up leather. However.. 1 thin slice of meat? Really? I swear you used to give 2? Veg looked dry under the heatlamps and used gravy to rehydrate it. Did its job anyway for convenience.

You know what? It does what it says on the tin. It's not assuming, it does passable, reasonably priced food and slightly overpriced drinks in not too long a time. Don't go out of your way for it but if you're not too fussy and can't be bothered to cook then it'll do. Did have an issue with a broken vending machine which upset the kids and the manager apparently wouldn't even put up an out of order sign but hey ho.

Great food, friendly people, it can be busy Friday nights, Saturdays, obvious times, incase you don't like that or don't want to wait, I would recommend booking in advance but I have never had a problem getting seated here. Lovely place for a pub lunch or an evening meal.

I went yesterday with my family I had the Chicken tikka my wife the Carvery and my little daughter sausages an chips. Staff are excellent and very friendly the food is very tasty and of good quality maybe the portion are little bit small especially for the carvery (when the food is delicious is never enough) and the price are very competitive I am sure that I will be there again soon.

It was a works party that I arranged and our table was ready early, we was served by a lovely tall girl dark hair tattoos I can't remember her name but she was very friendly and inviting , we was served food by Ben who previously had worked with us at Smyth's toys and it was a delight to see how well he is doing at the Vikings pub , his professionalism was very consistent especially whilst serving us was outstanding he never stopped to chat to us as his other customers were valued as much , I've never been to the Vikings landing before but the food was absolutely gorgeous and I'll be back with my family

Not being familiar with your bar & the way you have to pay for everything beforehand, and then have to wait for some time to get food & drinks seems strange to me. The food was good and wholesome, waitress was lovely but think your bar staff especially the younger staff, need to get trained on how to pull pints properly. Returned later for a late drink with son in law & was really disappointed in drinks, his choice of Guinness was so badly poured, he had to leave it & get another drink (bottle of cider) & my choice of Peroni arrived with big frothy head which wasn't acceptable, so had to be refilled. Sadly I wouldn't recommend for drinks but food was quite good & value for money.

Very disappointed, the note I left when I booked the table was ignored so I had to the remind the person that was seating us about the note. Had the carvery which was not very nice, the roast potatoes were like bricks and tastless there was no cauliflower cheese or mashed potatoes. Took four cakes away and the only thing that was nice was the fudge cake. There should be a section for people with no kids that just want to talk and catch up, kids were running around the restaurant while people were carrying food and drinks back to their tables and no one said anything. This is our go to place but I think from now on I'll be looking at going somewhere else.

Met a friend here for a long overdue catch up. I made a reservation so they took us right to our table..and as requested by a window! That I felt was..Great! The waitress was lovely but appeared very nervous and had to return to confirm our order of 2 diet cokes! 🤷‍♀️ we did wait a while before the drinks arrived..they were quite busy. Someone finally arrived for our food order..and again it took quite a while for the meals to come..but the food was lovely when it arrived. I had the Chicken and Bacon Big Salad as I am on a diet..and it for really filling. Top marks for having something healthy on the menu. However we waited for ages to be served again. We ordered 2 coffee's this time and the poor waitress forgot I wanted milk with my Americarno.. they had to take it back and start again. 🤦‍♀️ They did apologise but over two hours to be served only twice was a little slow to say the least. Good job we had a lot to catch up on. Our bill was good value for money. The staff were lovely and friendly but the service as far as prompt was really lacking. They need more staff for sure.

Today we visited the vikings landing as a family of 3 with my mother who was in a wheelchair on table 59 at 5pm - 6:30pm, the staff especially Vicky and another young lady was extremely accommodating and showed us to our seat and made the access easy. She was lovely and professional making her very approachable and easy to talk to. Our waiter was lovely sorry can’t remember your name but she was bubbly, energetic and had fantastic customer service skills, she advised and helped us to make great choices with our food. I would highly recommend even though they was extremely busy they made our visit one of a kind and food was hot, delicious and came quick and overall experience and price was incredible, every staff member is a credit, as it doesn’t matter how good the food is if the staff aren’t seen as approachable or helpful. 100% recommend and will be back, thanks guys from Issy, Terry and Katie Fielding.

Top restaurant. The family come here almost weekly and everything is great. The service is always friendly, there's free WiFi and a separate kids section for when the adults want a quiet dinner. There's also a couple of larger tables for occasions. It's very popular, so sometimes there's a wait for up to an hour first, but when the weather is nice you can sit outside with your drinks. It's an all-round go-to for all occasions, from family meals to a quite pint with friends.

Popped in expecting a typical pub lunch or carvery meal, but was pleasantly surprised by the actual experience. To begin with, place was very busy and told there would be a 20-30 min wait. So actually thought that was a good sign as it wouldn't be so busy for a typical dinner, in a place out the way. We were seated fairly quickly afterwards, about 5mins. Staff were so friendly and professional. We're more than happy to accommodate requests for meal changes. The food was average priced but after actually tasting it, I would have to say the price was phenomenal for it. I have ordered many steaks in many places and asked for it 'blue'. A lot of places don't offer this or if they do, fail to do it properly, but here managed it perfectly! I have to say it was probably the nicest steak I have had while eating out in a very long time, if not ever! Our table had also ordered burgers, again which they raved over, and how their unique touches were a pleasant surprise, and carvery meals. These looked very satisfying, and we'll prepared. Again, I've experienced some that were quite dry and chewy, but these I were told were to a good standard, like 'mums own home made roasts!' Now who could argue with that. Overall, I would have to say it was a wonderful place to go, such a pleasant experience and highly recommend to anyone!

It was a nice day so we sat outside there are wooden tables and benches and the girls enjoyed the climbing frame and the slide. The area is fenced off with a gate so they are quite safe. Food is good, can be a little expensive when compared to other bistro pubs. But decent food. Staff are good though. Very friendly. I do think that they need to reconsider their breakfasts. It's a fixed menu, rather than select the items you do and don't want

The place has a lovely charm to it, it feels open and spacious which is a plus, the food was good and any problems we had were addressed immediately by staff and management such as plates removed. I'd recommend coming here with a group for food as the offers they have are brilliant

Food was alright, nothing special and staff missed one of the children's meals off the bill. They did rectify this to be fair to them, however the portions of the meals were dissapointing and there were only a few staff for a busy establishment. This was around 18:30 in the afternoon and overall was disappointing.

My family and I got a carvery and absolutely loved it. It has to be one of the best carverys we have ever had. The food was piping hot,the staff were more than helpful. We couldnt fault it at all. The choice of desserts are just what the doctor ordered.😆 I recommend this place highly. We will be returning. My compliments to the Chefs.☺

As usual the carvery was lovely. Just a shame about the ice cream dessert! Served in a soup/pudding bowl not a Sundae glass! A dessert spoon instead of a Sundae spoon! Presentation is a big part of the food!!! Sorry! I've not complained before, I'm almost family!!! I hope this is just a minor hiccup!!

Lovely carvery, menu recently changed in March '17 but I'm not a fan of the new one. The pub is lovely, modern and clean with a nice outdoors area and small kids play frame outside with 2 smAll kids tactile activity boards indoors. Plenty of drinks and cakes to choose from, you can take cakes away too. The pub also has special nights on; 'jazz night' 'ladies night' 'abba night' etc. Overall A decent place to go.

Hi there, we went straight after work Saturday about 6pm. We had the steak and bottle of wine dinner. The steak was really tasty and cooked as we like it, medium rare. Then we had one of the traditional puddings. Melt in the middle chocolate pudding and the Lemon and rasberry sponge, both with vanilla icecream.....lovely. Would have it again and well worth the money. Customer service was excellent and the staff were very polite and very friendly. An all round good experience. Thank you.

Nice brand new pub but unfortunately the carvery was a let down as there was no mash potatoes and the veg tasted funny as well as I had ordered chipolatas which arrived once I had finished my dinner. While the customer at the next table ended up eating by themselves as she ordered from menu and the dish ended up on the floor so a new one had to be prepared which arrived once the others had finished.
