Ok wee pub 1st time in it, was there for my granddaughter's 18th birthday, staff very friendly

We went to watch the match between Liverpool and Real Madrid so, sadly didn't eat there as we had eaten at the nearby hotel where we were staying. However, we were given the warmest welcome from the local people! One young lady ( off duty staff member) came out to meet us as finding the entrance to the pub is tricky with it being in a shopping precinct. One gentleman (Jim?) found us chairs, another came to shake hands in welcome. Thank you all so much. We would love to return!

Found myself in “The Parrafin Lamp” tonight whilst on a night parked up. Went looking for food originally, unfortunately they had stopped serving when I got there. However, this has to be one of the friendliest places I have been to !! The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for them, had a good laugh with a few of the regulars as well. Will definitely come up for a weekend and make a proper night of it 😊

Went into this pub for a bar lunch and I can honestly say the food was amazing we had homemade steak pie chips and veg its was brought out by one of the staff and she could not have been any nicer, she went out of her way for us. Will be back here again, would highly recommend going here to my family and friends

It is a very friendly and welcoming pub that does good food and the staff behind the bar are fantastic and very friendly. They allways got sport on the tv two pool tables and a karaoke on every Saturday night they are open till late. I would recommend this pub to anyone who asks for a good and friendly pub to go to.

The Paraffin Lamp is at the back of Livingston Shopping Centre, an idiosyncratic place, at first visit it seems a bit star wars bar, chaotic and noisy, but once the dust settles and a few drinks later it's okay, ambient even. It has several large screen TVs, ideal for watching sports, pool tables but always occupied. £2.80 for a pint of cider was the biggest surprise here.
