We went after the lockddown re-opening. Outdoors only for the moment. Vegan friendly. Good location in the Hackney village/ covered market area. Good thin crust sourdough pizza, snacks, drinks. Place is known for its cocktails. Superb at the weekends, live music. Service was exceptional. Places like these, are what makes London great.

This was a really cool experience to go to especially if you’re a breaking bad fanatic! The experiments were really cool and the instruction were really easy to follow. The reason for the 4 stars was due to how sticky the overalls were. It had a smell to it and a very sticky feeling so it made sitting down for 2 hours during the experience very uncomfortable. Nevertheless, it was a great experience and would definitely recommend this.

My two friends and I came here for the Breaking Bad cocktail experience (3 drinks) to celebrate my birthday. It was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The RV was a great environment and definitely made it feel like you were a part of breaking bad. The drinks were delicious and there was no short pouring of alcohol. The staff even came around at the end with some complimentary birthday shots and a breaking bad themed birthday card. This made the experience even better than I thought it would be. The staff were very friendly and made the day fun while also making sure everyone was being safe. I will be recommending this to everyone I know in London (especially those who enjoyed breaking bad).

Very fun night out in the breaking bad RV. Some really clever and inventive drinks that you make yourself within a few hours of being shown. The staff were excellent and they deserve praise for working in the heat! It is damn hot in the suits and you will like most people end up sweating buckets. Really great night out. Highly recommend for something different.

It’s not at all gimmick like as you may imagine these sort of hands on places to be; the theme is well followed throughout and the vibe is lively and fun. The drinks are made nearly ready to drink and then you add garnishes and or infuse the drink with final flavours as part of the molecular input, using gas canisters to create foam, dry ice to create flavoured gas etc. The music is loud, old school hip hop, for the most part, with a few other bits in there like the BB theme tune - naturally. The drinks are tasty and they also have the facility to make classics. It’s a great space to go with a few people. The staff are helpful and fun. Bring cash, as it’s a cash bar, however, there is a cash point nearby if you need.

We went for my sister's hen do and it was such a fun way to start the day. The staff were incredible and went above and beyond to give us a good time. I cannot recommend this experience enough! Thank you so much for delicious cocktails, pizza and big laughs. Great energy!

"Breaking Bad" inspired bar. I give 5 stars for the eccentric location and the experience: you can cook your own cocktails, following given recipes, combining different ingredients in unusual ways and see chemical reactions that happen. All cocktails were good. Nice Staff, good music. Unpleasant note: some yellow suits were broken, dirty, not so useful if you have to cook. For the price you pay, it would be nice to have them wearable, clean and functional. The masks need to be sterilized before make them available to the costumers, because all of them were dirty. It doesn't cost anything, as well as new suits. *Reply to owner: It's true that people don' t always pay attention to things that are lent to them. It is possible tough, to invite clients to use all the available equipment with caution, and to pay for valuable things they broke. I suggested to buy new jumpsuit (available online at low prices) to replace the damaged ones. I didn't mention to buy new masks (which are quite expansive). I suggested to sterilize them, possibly when groups leave and others come in. It doesn't require an expensive solution, it' s easy and free to sterilize with steam (as for glass and dishes). I am still thinking that Abq staff did an amazing job and the place it's eccentric and fun. Some inconveniences can happen but they can be fixed as well.

This is an absolute must! Super cool spot, where you can become part of Breaking Bad story and cook your own cocktails! Not good from chemistry? No worries, you’ll get an instruction and friendly staff will make sure you have lots of fun. The vibe of the place keeps you in old school rap music theme as well. Venue is beautiful, with lots of neon lights and accessories and.... actual truck in which you can play with your cocktails, just like in the series. There is a small espresso martini cocktail bar upstairs and a pizza spot! 😋❤️ Grab your friends and move into the world of hip hop and bad boyzzzz, Yo!

So much fun! Went here for a friend’s birthday and had so much fun. The atmosphere feels straight out of breaking bad down to the spray painted, particle board walls, and the sturdy lab benches we mixed the drinks at. Start by suiting up into the jumpsuits straight from breaking bad and then pick the drinks from a menu that also serves as the recipe book. Our server was very fast and competent and started us right away on a drink that uses dry ice to infuse the drink, along with DIY foam. We spent almost 2.5 hours there and everyone was very friendly, and all of our drinks were delicious or at the very least interesting. Worth the 36£ fee for the excursion!

Booked as a surprise for my wife. She and I both loved it, being Breaking Bad fans. The whole experience is really novel and a great idea. I'd possibly go back for a repeat visit, but it's that initial fun factor the first time you go that would wear off on repeat visits. I only knock off a star as the music was very loud house and radio-friendly music, which kind of ruined the whole Breaking Bad theme. It would have been cool if they were playing the soundtrack. Also the hazmat suits provided were quite sweaty and sticky...

Really great experience even if you've not seen 'Breaking Bad' Covid measures were in place at the time of my visit Staff were hugely accessible and attentive enough that you thoroughly have the whole experience, with as much support as you needed. Only feedback would be for the cocktail guides to be updated as they refer to some equipment that is no longer available.l e.g large 1000ml conical flask.

Super cool Breaking Bad themed bar, where you “mix” your own drinks using components prepared by the resident mixologist, with a little help from some dry ice, nitrous oxide, frothers and more depending on your choice of cocktail. The bar is in a trailer, meaning you have to book in advance, and it fits around 20 people or so. The host is awesome, very personable, and makes the night very interactive. The music is not too loud, you can still hold conversations, and the playlist is a mix of 90s West Coast and East Coast rap, RnB, and Reggaeton. The cost of entry gets you a welcome mojito with syringe, and your choice of two other “scientific” cocktails, but you can always buy additional cocktails. All in all, a great alternative night out with friends, or an interesting date spot. Oh yeah, and you don’t need to have watched the series 🙂

Very strong drinks, location a bit of pain to get to and very hidden and confusing to get to as you have to go throughout a tunnel to get there seems a little dodge, I would say it was overprice for the “breaking bad experience” and felt rush to make each drink rather then enjoy making it and drinking it the ice cream making one was overwhelmed by the lemon juice

A RV van on Hackney Road Breaking Bad style… now that is definitely original and that is what we call ABQ. Created by Lollipop, the guys behind The Bletchley, ABQ is the more chilled out East London immersive cocktail experience based on the popular Breaking Bad series. ABQ cocktail bar east london ABQ cocktail bar east london The concept is simple – you ‘cook’ up some cocktails with yellow boiler suits on, masks and goggles. Think dry ice, syringes and ‘explosions’. A pretty great concept, fun and interactive – they could do with some more staff to help with guiding the making of cocktails but they fill gaps with shots which you clearly can’t complain about! We started off with a Wendy Martini: vodka, passoa, passionfruit and prosecco, dry ice fusion of vanilla and white chocolate bubbles (which I did enjoy blowing!) which is a sharing cocktail. Individual cocktail wise we had CRT Fix: Gin, elderflower, lime, cucumber and mint infused with thyme and rosemary, Ruby: fennel infused gin, betaone shrub, lemon juice, rhubarb syrup and peychauds with ginger extract and Ted: Whiskey, maraschino, thyme and ginger, dark fruit shrub and lime with hibiscus hydrosole air. It was so much fun making the cocktails and just a different experience to the norm. At £32.50 for a welcome cocktail and two hours in the RV including the cooking / infusing of 2 cocktails, it is good value – oh not to mention the fantastic rnb and hip hop music that goes with it!

The Breaking Bad experience was decent. On the plus side, the wait staff were awesome and drinks were incredibly fun to make! Pizzas were ok but limited to 4 options on the menu which was a bit of a letdown. RV was hella cramped too so wouldn't recommend it for 4 people, but would be good if you're a couple. Biggest let down was that they don't have the hazmat suits anymore! No masks or suits, just aprons which is pretty lame, definitely takes away from the vibe. Good music but they played the same 10 tracks over and over again, not sure why they've only got 45 minutes worth of songs on rotation. Overall a good experience but nothing special. I think with a few touches here and there it could be much better. Was probably a fair bit better before lockdown. Would recommend it for something a little bit different but if you're a genuine Breaking Bad fan don't go in expecting too much or you'll leave disappointed.

Was a really great night out the cocktails were great the food once it was right was really good and the staff had bags of energy 👌🏾👌🏾but was a few hiccups which is why I’m giving 4 Stars. I’m a vegetarian and ordered a veggie pizza after double checking the pizza I was given was veggie twice with staff only to bite into into it to find it was full of chicken was really disappointing... we paid £24 extra for the Christmas package but staff completely forgot only when reminded once our night was over they brought out Santa hats ,4 crackers and 4 small glasses of drink so was a bit disappointing aswell they also forgot it was my birthday😂 for all of these mistakes we were given £6 discount.

My partner and I came to ABQ and did the Breaking Bad themed cocktail experience. It was great! We had loads of fun making our cocktails and loved using the dry ice. All of the staff were also really enthusiastic and very friendly! My only complaint is that some of the drinks are way too sweet, I would recommend that you steer clear of Walt Junior's Brekkie.

Fun staff, encouraged us to try multiple different drinks (I thought we had to order the same thing) even though obviously that was gonna be messier for them. This is one of the coolest experiences I've had on holiday. The RV itself is super cool and all of the small touches around are well done, although I do feel like there could be a bit more Breaking Bad easter eggs and touches around, although there could be legality/licensing reasons why they can't. It's a short enough journey on the tube and surface train to get there and it's a short walk from the train station, but not too easy to find as it's down the end of a dark lane without a major sign. The suits you get are not the most comfortable and they get really hot inside, but they're designed for Pharmaceutical plants not bars so it's to be expected. Staff were really fun and friendly, guiding us through the cocktail making and making us laugh, and the cocktail selection was good and all of them apart from the La Tortuga were delicious. My only complaints would be there was a fair bit of waiting around in between drinks or before it began. The music was also so loud that we couldn't hear the staff explaining the cocktail instructions, and they said they couldn't turn it down - the DJ thinks he was in Ibiza. The RV was also a bit dark inside but we just used our phone torches to help us. Overall it was great fun, and I'd recommend it for any Breaking Bad fan, although pay to be inside the RV - it looked like a lot less fun outside of it.

The cocktail experience was great - the cocktails tasted good and the cooking process was fun. However, the "pizza" was disappointingly VEGAN. Feel like this was hidden on the website and we only found out when we got here. Would have brought our own cheese if we'd known! Vegan food is best when it's not trying to replace non-vegan food, especially cheese. Vegan pizza is a crime and an insult to the nation of Italy. So for this I am knocking off a star. Otherwise, the drinks are great and we enjoyed the experience very much.

It's a little tricky to find but a great venue. Sadly we were sat right under a loud speaker and they were unable to move us or turn it down. To the point that when they were explaining the safety stuff for dry ice we couldn't hear. When we asked questions about the dry ice or menu the staff couldn't hear either!! However, on the whole the staff were nice, but you need more of them as service was very slow. The whole experience is fun, especially in a group. The cocktails are interesting and some nicer than others. The yellow jumpsuits smelled absolutely revolting!!! So on the whole mixed views - go for yourself and have fun.

So much fun. Drinks are strong. The place is small and is located opposite Hackney Central Station. You have to walk through a market. It's nice and sells vegan food. The experience at ABQ is so much fun even if you are not into Breaking Bad. You make 3 cocktails each for £36. If you do it right, and have enough people, you could make the whole menu

A really good experience. If you love cocktails, breaking bad, music 🎶 and having fun, this is the place to be. Randomly located in Hackney up a side alleyway under railway arches, this is a ‘must book’ venue. Especially if you want to come on a Friday or Saturday night. The staff are excellent here and the yellow suits you wear in the RV is great to help you get into character. A DJ plays dance music and there is a good, friendly, happy atmosphere about the place. Open to 12am most nights, this is well worth a visit and the place is now here to stay.

Very good effort / idea but few bits missing to rate this place a full 5 stars. You will see the famous RV upon entering. The cocktails are decent and the bar in general is quite nice. Few drinks come with frothers that you have to use but none of them worked. Service is great and on the top floor they have arcade games which you play and win shots no matter how bad you play. Downstairs they have pizza counter on one corner, which comes in handy and the loos on the other which were clean.

Excellent experience and very energetic staff happily explaining the whole experiment process. Everything is sticky there(tables, seats, lab coats...) which is expected given the number of people experimenting with drinks, the only big downside is that the yellow lab coats they give you can get really warm and sweaty (and the sinks by the toilets were covered in puke when I went)

Very interesting place, quite dirty and messy and the uniforms you need to wear are a bit disgusting and most of them totally destroyed. The cocktails we chose were very sweet so I couldn’t even finish my second. Anyway the staff are absolutely enjoying their job and fantastic in their entertainment. About the destination it wasn’t difficult to find it but be aware there isn’t any signs and anything to show you that this is the “bar” You definitely have to visit this place one in your life but don’t forget to take a lot of disinfectant:)

I might be biased because I am a huge fan of the show but the RV was great! The previous session ran over schedule so we had to wait an additional 15 minutes but it was worth it - we got to make our own cocktails after staff gave us instructions. Unfortunately, the Heisenberg song was not on but I guess they compensated with the Narcos theme song. The decor is nice and you get to try different goggles or gas masks. I don't know if it was too hot because of the suit or my excitement but nevertheless, I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

I loved making our own cocktails with all the lab equipment. Was less keen on the music, which was loud (intrusive at times). Our server was brilliantly friendly and helpful and the tiny space inside meant it was easy to chat with the people we didn't know at the next table.

Thoughtful decor and props, and definitely has that novelty factor. Pizzas from the place at the back were tasty. Music was good. I’m not sure about the use of real tyvek suits- they’re not breathable, you get very hot in them and they’re sticky/smelly from multiple uses so perhaps it would be a good idea to replace them with novelty suits that arent quite as water/air tight. I wouldn’t say the cocktails were especially to my taste but it was a fun group activity overall. Would I come back now that I’ve been once? Probably not.

AMAZING NIGHT!!! I celebrated my birthday at ABQ along with a party of 28 guests. Everyone had a great time and when a few things went wrong Nick & the team were always on hand to find a solution! Music was GREAT, staff are AMAZING and the cocktails are DELICIOUS! If you are booking for a big group Noemi will make sure everything is booked and tailored to you and your party. If I could give one bit of advice when booking for a big party it would be..book an early slot so you have plenty of time to enjoy, make cocktails and still have time to hit the dance floor! ABQ is an experience not to be missed & I will definitely be back again!!! Oh and don’t forget to grab a slice of 🍕 pizza.

Had my first night out after covid and I was scared but went for a cocktail experience and the two girls Saff and Gemma were amazing. Social distancing was followed and felt really at ease music was in the background loud enough to enjoy but not overpowering. Booked a double session here and due to technical difficulties and health and safety they had to cut it off early for the night, originally I felt a bit disappointed but they came over and explained everything about what happened and why’ they couldn’t continue so they’re issuing a refund and shots on the house, dealt with the situation so well and it’s unfortunate the amount of abuse they were receiving. Had half the time but definitely experienced the full fun of the evening. Lovely staff. Can’t wait to go back!

Pizza's were nice, it's a cool space and the staff upstairs were friendly. The ABQ experience was OK, one of the cocktails I had was great, and it was fun making it, the other one was OK. Some of the Staff in the RV were great, others seemed very disinterested. They describe the bar as an "Espresso Martini Bar" but we didn't see anything that suggested this was the case, the drinks menu had 1 espresso martini and some other cocktails. Added service charge onto drinks but don't tell you they are doing that, which is a bit naughty also what's the service charge for, I'm ordering my own drinks? Also one of our party got charged for a peroni they didn't order, and although she paid cash, the bar staff insisted they had to refund on to a card, that seems strange to us.
