Reviews of Anchor & Hope

A lovely riverside pub with a distinctly nautical theme. Hidden away a bit behind an industrial park but well worth a bit of exploring to call in for a pint or two. Jolly, attentive service. A range of beers, both cask and keg on offer. Many people were ordering food, a good sign. A short walk along the river to the local yacht club and the rest of Greenwich Peninsula. A good place to visit!

Lunch today with the kids and the dog. They did us proud. Landlord on draught. Big, generous roasts. Helpful, genuine staff. A no-fuss, genuine boozer. Perfect.

Booked lunch for six people and arrived an hour late due to gross miscalculation of walking distance from Waterloo Bridge to the Thames Barrier! Pub staff very welcoming nonetheless, built us a log fire and luckily the chef was still available. Great fish & chips, four of us sampled it. Would visit again but leave a lot more time to get there.

We were there for the company dinner, and it was absolutely amazing. Great food, excellent service, and we had an unexpected entertainer who sang and danced, and made us have a perfect night. We all wanted to come back.

We had our Xmas staff party here and had great fun. Plenty of good food and entertainment. Thank you Maria and Paul for taking good care of us.

Lovely pub. Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Nice music in the background. Sandwiches are very fresh and comes with chips and salad. Docked one star only because there was no coffee machine working! A lovely time had.

Friendly landlords. Lovely atmosphere. Families and children welcome....Dogs too. Went on a Sunday afternoon and there was a live singer singing golden oldies. Was offered tasty toasties and they do a good old traditional Sunday Roast.

Super little pub, really tucked out the way. They're doing outdoor films on Wednesdays in the summer (for free!!) and also some free Indian nibbles. Staff are really friendly too
