Came here on a random Monday night and it was full of life! Great bar in soho with good drinks. Absolutely excellent 50% off happy hour! Great music and atmosphere, definitely can still relax too. I have to mention the bathrooms were extremely clean, for a bar in soho they were incredible. Definitely would recommend for a good night out or to bar hop especially for happy hour!

Pre-order drinks through DesignMyNight for a good discount. I've been twice - once on a Saturday and once on Thursday. Music is good but it's very straight for Soho, especially Thursday. Crowd varies from early twenties to mid forties.

With an atmosphere like this there really isn’t much need to exaggerate with excellent staff and security bar soho is more than welcoming the facility are well furnished and the walls are covered in art that I would only imagine is much like what you would find in banksy’s studio 5 starts.

So I had to pay 50 pounds to secure a table for an hour, they gave me a voucher for the 50 quid. But I tried to pay for a round with it and the totally useless barman said it was too difficult to deal with. So I gave the voucher to the next set of people in my party, who spent about a tenner, and then the voucher “ran out”. So basically they stole 40 quid from me. They get two stars because the security guards are nice. EDIT: they kindly reimbursed me. I must say, that’s impressive.

My friends and I stumbled along here accidentally one afternoon and now keep going back. Great laid back vibe, unprotencious, happy hour includes half priced cocktails from 5-8pm. The bar does get busy at times but the bar tenders have always been amazing when I have been there.

From the outside it looks like an underground adult club, must have a reservation some nights, the door staff were fantastic and so were the servers explaining every drink enthusiastically. However, the venue itself is confused, attempting to replicate a mid western jazz club but with oriental wallpaper and modern tables. It's a great place to go once with an older group of friends, but wouldn't recommend as a date as the music gets too loud.

I never knew about this pub until a 50th birthday party of a friend. Great atmosphere. Upstairs is a hire place. Cosy, intimate, a bar, amusement rooms, exquisite decor. They allowed outside cakes and helped to hire a Drag show. What a night we had. DJ playing the music and I must admit I have not had so much fun in ages. The 2 bar man wasted no time, working flat out to process the cocktails and drinks. Thanks guys. Downstairs also have a Minding old London extravaganza decor. Well priced beers despite the location.

Ok place. Open untill 1am on a weeknight with a dancefloor so good for the relatively sleepy Soho area. Plays a wide array of music with about 3 songs from each genre so a bit hit and miss there. Drinks expensive but standard for the area. Bouncers a bit odd, laughing at the punters behind their backs and suddenly ushering everyone out at closing time with the least sincere goodbyes ever. Plus the high vis jackets are a bit unusual but kind of suits the vibe of cheap dance bar (although not cheap prices).

This is one of those places if you want to grab a drink as a group without a reservation, chances are it is empty during the day and you can walk in and get a table. We ordered a bottle of wine and in front of me the bar attender took at bottle from the top rack and gave it to me - so the bottle was already open! I asked for another bottle, unopened one and she asked me why? after detailing she gave me another bottle without any further question. anyhow, like i sad grab a drink here if you dont have a reservation and want a table :)

An interesting fairground/punk mash up interior. Quite small, but the seating arrangement is not crowded. The music is a little too loud, I couldn't hear a word the bartender was saying but that may just be me. What really did it for me was the price of the drinks; happy hour is from 5 till 8 with 50% of all cocktails, champagnes, etc... not just cheap, select drinks. Located close to the Prince Theatre so it would be a decent place to go to before your show starts.

Went with two friends on Wednesday, there weren’t a lot of people ( due to the day) but the drinks are a good price and the music was F A N T A S T I C ( hits/pop/hiphop). Inside the walls and the ceilings are all painted ( your instragram feed will be thinking you). I got a margarita, it was excellent. Highly recommend it.

It's not a place for a classy dinner, I can concur that, but it's great for some drinks at the end of a hectic day. Ambiance is pleasant and even though the prices could be lower for what they offer, it's agreeable. I've never had food here, so I will refrain myself from comments and simply stick to saying that it is what it says it is - a bar in Soho but don't jump to conclusions before giving it a try.

I was a bit worried about my group booking for a surprise party here due to the other reviews. However, it was incredible and absolutely everyone in my party had an amazing time. The booking team were incredible, answering all my questions within the hour and speaking to me on the phone to make sure everything was okay. And about people getting kicked out, everyone who got kicked out was either so drunk they couldn't walk, high or starting fights. So i think them getting kicked out was perfectly valid. Venue is cute and music is very fun, only thing is wish there was more lighting in my booth area as it was very dim. Thanks again for making my boyfriend's night so unforgettable.

I've never been particularly fond of the bar downstairs. The music is very loud and clubby, which is odd as there isn't really a dance floor. I've visited the upstairs bar several times for work parties, and when hired it's much better. The cocktails are reasonable, but quite pricey. This isn't really my sort of place, but it's fine as a place to grab a few drinks after work if you plan to move on to a bigger night out.

The 3 stars are only for the decor with old TV sets, seats and red bulbs. The cocktails were poorly made and there were no crisp, peanuts or accompaniments with the drinks that one could buy. A complete bummer!

Great atmosphere. Been over on a Tuesday and a Thursday and the turnout was very good. The dance area is cosy and the seating is nicely aranged. Its opposite the G A Y night club so the croud is very diverse here.

It's not the classiest of bars, but it's in a buzzing place on Old Compton Street and it's quite good to pop in for a few after-work drinks. Which are all half-price from 5-8pm. After which it gets quite expensive so I usually scarper down the road to Greek Street (see below). Pretty much every time I've gone there I've met some men, particularly when standing on the street outside. Ok, so some of them have been a bit weird, and some of them may have been the big issue guy, but still. It's also a cheap way to soak up the Soho atmosphere without going across the road to pricey Balan's).

Even though some American friends of mine had told me that the Philly cheese steak and the milkshakes weren't what you'd get in the US, this was still the place I went to when I wanted a burger. I had the cheeseburger with the bacon and egg. It was a single one but had two patties. The slice of bacon was almost as thick as the patties themselves. And it was all delicious. I can't make a comparison with an American diner but I know tasty food when I see it and smell it. The chips were big enough for two, very crunchy and tasty. We ordered the honey fried chicken, which was actually chicken wings and the Caesar salad. It was all served at once with the milkshakes so I felt like a teenage fat-camp runaway. The milkshakes could have been thicker, I agree, but they were spot-on with the flavour. The service was friendly and attentive; they kept refilling our glasses and asking if everything was OK. It was. The meal wasn't expensive at all and we got really good value for our money. I found out that they take orders until very late in the evening so I can only envy the young and wild ones for having a place to go and have some food after a night out. So, yes, I would rate it as a five-star experience. Tasty food, good service, and reasonable prices.

I could sum up my visit to Soho Diner in two words: too much. Soho Diner & Bar looks like an odd and hugely popular pub - I guess it owes its popularity in part to its prime location in central London. When I was there on a Sunday afternoon, it was buzzing, very busy and the music was perhaps a bit loud. But anyway, I really liked the atmosphere of the place. Only I felt that the bench and table were not built for me. The massive table made it a little bit difficult for me to put my legs somewhere convenient. The burger was recommended to me recently, so I did not think twice about my order. I added bacon and was surprised about how thick the bacon slice was they put on the burger. I like a thin and crispy bacon, but this thing was almost as big as the patty. Besides that, the burger actually tasted not bad, just the odd bacon spoilt it for me. The other surprise was, how much ice they added to the coke. I had to wait for the ice to melt down a bit, before I could easily drink without having to deal with ice in my face. Not really what you want. Difficult to rate this place, there are good bits, for sure, but I must admit, that I am not overwhelmed. Maybe I should go a second time - without bacon and coke.

I really enjoyed the ambiance the food served here. This is a great place to grab a quick bite before watching a West End show. We found it because it sits right across from the Jersey Boys theatre and we were going to see the show. The décor is Spanish inspired with a big wooden bar, small tiled floor and little wooden tables. The tapas are great! My partner could not get enough of the chorizo. Great wine selection as well.

Boheme Kitchen & Bar somehow manages to get exactly the right vibe when you want to have a chilled but lively dinner or drinks. There's always enough people to make it feel busy without having too many people that it feels crowded. It always feels nice and cosy in the winter. The food is good but not amazing. On the service - for my last visit I was assigned a waiter who seemed friendly and great, but then he was switched to a not so nice waiter who repeatedly got my order wrong. Even so I would still go back again but maybe for drinks as opposed to dinner. Also an Sustainable Restaurant Association member which makes it all the better!

My friends and I happened to come here when we couldn't get into the place we originally had planned to go and it was a really pleasant surprise. The bar and restaurant itself is very spacious and this space is used efficiently as even when busy you don't feel crammed in - a rare treat in Soho! We ordered burgers and aoili chips and some other bits and it was all really well cooked and tasted really nice. My only complaint was the aioli as it mostly tasted like regular mayonnaise. The portions here are very large however so make sure you have an appetite! We ordered two portions of chips between four and it still was a little too much. The service is attentive and fairly quick here which is always good. Prices are standard for Soho. We were lucky and were able to walk right in however when we were leaving there was a line forming. On the whole it was nothing to write home about - I much prefer their Notting Hill branch - but it was an enjoyable meal.

Did not try their usual menu as I was here for the one week @littlebaohk residency. The place is so dark and the tables for two so small it was hard to take good pics of the food - though it wasn't a big deal as the so-so pictures was like the food... What can I say, not many veg options in that the truffle fries were mushroomy and rich but the vegetarian bao/bun was also based on mushroom (you know some vegetarians do not eat mushrooms)! Luckily I do eh?! My mate had the chicken wings which she enjoyed immensely but she didn't rate the pork belly bun (incidentally the waitress served it to me and so I accidentally took a bite out of the pork bun not realising it was not vegetarian and was just confused cos I could only taste the ketchup)... My mate also bit into my shitake mushroom tempeh bun and was not impressed that her "pork" was such a rich mushroom flavour! Anyway that aside we decided to go for the dessert buns - salted caramel and the matcha with condensed milk both being a slab of ice cream in a deep fried bao/bun. It's tiny and really messy to eat and looks better than it tastes... Argh just wasn't impressed but front of house staff were really friendly as were the waitstaff which is why they get the third star. Harsh I know but just being honest!

If Carlsberg made Chilli Prawns, Chicken Burgers and Banoffee Pie's, then they would be just like the ones from the Soho Kitchen & Bar. I think I actually said while I was eating my meal, that "this is the best Chicken Burger I've ever eaten". I was going to have the Peanut Sundae for dessert but I was warned by the staff that they are very large. I changed my order for the Banoffee pie which was also large but a great choice. I'll be going back for that Sundae though! I only ordered a coke to drink and it came in an 'mixer' size bottle. I'm used to paying high prices for soft drinks, but that's not on. Saying that, glasses and a jug of iced tap water comes as standard with the meal. Really friendly staff with very quick service. A little pricey, but what do you expect from a central Soho restaurant with great food and staff ?
