Much better now they've reintroduced 'Happy Hour'! £3.80 for a decent pint of Guinness in London is a steal. Other than that, it's still home to the usual 'colourful' characters of Tufnell Park 😂

It's certainly nicer than it used to be but that seems to come at a premium. I think that some beers were seven pounds? It's undergone an over haul but doesn't quite seem finished? Staff were really nice and it was a quiet place to go on an afternoon off for a few beers.

Haven't been here in ages, but it's recently been refurbished so thought we'd pop in and give it a go. Had a great experience, food was gorge and the new manager, Lauren, was so welcoming and friendly. 10/10 would recommend

Came here for brunch on a Saturday. Such a shame it wasn’t busy because the brunch food was excellent and very generous. A wider menu possibly needed but I would thoroughly recommended eating here. The beer was excellent too!👍👍👍👍👌🏻👌🏻

This is and was a great pub.. I remember growing up in the Archway and we used to march up to Tufnell Pk and get steaming drunk.. Great building, great spot and watched a few good boxing matches here

As soon as we heard these guys are doing deliveries we had to try as it’s one of our favourite spots. We ordered chicken wings, fish & chips and plant based burger. All was delicious and tasty and we can’t wait to go there as soon as they will open. (Sorry no pics as we were tooo hungry 😋)

Beautiful Victorian pub, freshly refurbished with relaxed atmosphere. Great variety of cocktails, beers and spirits. Also very family friendly. You can come with a dog and there are board games available to play over a drink !

Phenomenal Sunday Roast!!! The new Chef is from the Hilton and definitely knows how to do it right. There were three options: Beef, Chicken or Vegan. I chose the Roast Chicken. To my surprise, they gave me half a chicken. It was a MASSIVE portion and more than I can eat. Such value! (Hello chicken sandwich for lunch tomorrow!!! I love extras.) The meat was tender and juicy and the rest, especially carrots, were so flavourable. Chef came out to ask how everything was so I took the opportunity to ask how he made the chicken with hope I can, (fingers-cross), cook a masterpiece like this to impress the in-laws. He said he has a 48-hour process to get it to perfection. Whoa! Err, yeah, no, I don't have time for that. He also said he's adding a kids menu so that will be great so I can bring my family next time. Haven't been in this place since pre-covid and met a mate here for a catch-up. Place has been done up and it looks great. I wish I took a pic of the food but I tucked in too quickly. The smell hypnotised me. Next time, I will... I did check out their food pics on instagram after dining here. Seems like the place is more of a restaurant now with good food up for offering. Will bring the husband next time as I saw their premium whisky selection. It's spot on!

Nice bar. Some staff were more friendly than others. Decent selection of drinks. Decent bar prices. Plenty of tables to accommodate most sized groups. Personally not a fan of sports pubs but this one didn't have the same atmosphere that other sports pubs do. Happily go back again.

A great venue. During my visit the pub was showing live football with a great atmosphere and cheap drinks comparable to other establishments in the local area. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. It's unfortunate its so far away from my home otherwise I would like to call this my local. I will look forward to visiting again in the future. Highly recommend to people of all age groups.

I wonder if the swimming pool is still in the basement? I worked there in the early 70's bottling and labelling wines. Also did deliveries of mixed beer, wines, spirits and cigarettes to other pubs and off licences in North west London in a 7cwt lorry.

This review was originally a complaint that the price of soft drinks was too high, but I'm very glad to hear that the pub have listened and revised their prices so I have taken it down.

Traditional boozer, a little rough around the edges, you know the type of place where the local crack head pops in to sell stolen meat. But if like me you don't mind that and you just want to sink pints and chat with your mates it's good pub. Very lively, friendly varied crowd, good place to watch sports.

It's a nice new fashion but old fashioned feel irish pub. The drinks are cheap enough for that area the fact it reminds me of home (Ireland) the staff were nice and the atmosphere was good i would recommend this place to anyone visiting that part of North London

Ok it's not a gastropub or posh pub but it's solid and can be fun. It has it's regulars and the bar staff are quick and likeable. DJ's, karaoke and bands liven the place up at weekends and the drinks are super cheap. The only downsides are the toilets they need an update or even a lick of paint, but at the end of the day everyone in the neighbourhood knows the Boston and know exactly what to expect should they venture in.

Slightly grubby on the outside. The smokers tag-team outside will give you unwelcoming stares if you don't appear tobacco stained. But inside - reasonably welcoming. If you are "in with the right crowd" (and corner) you MAY even be able to use an E-ciggarette INSIDE!! (shock! Horror! Quick! Call the Daily Mail). Staff are amiable and capable. Reasonable selection of beers I guess (I drink spirits). Not much choice of whiskies - but, it appears that clientele and some staff are Irish not Scottish. Nice big screen TV showing sports if you are interested. Not too loud to dissuade one from conversation. Didn't see a menu. Noticed they have peanuts. 2 doors up is a mini cab office and a Chinese takeaway. Across the road is a chicken n kebab shop. Tuffnell park underground is across the road. So, if you don't want to drink n drive and you want a quick snack on the way home - this place is well located.

Drinks are cheap, one of the few pubs in the area which hasn't been gastro'd or done up in however many years. As such the facilities and toilets especially are dated. For some reason whenever I come here there is someone going round selling stolen meat???

I love this place!!! I can only give it three stars because it's a complete dive. But if like me you like to get down and dirty and aren't afraid of a few interesting locals it's a great place to be!
