Nice pub. Another of Londons pubs with a historical tale, as it was liked to the Bow Street Runners (the first version of Police). Unfortunately we couldn't stay long, but sat upstairs for a quick beer. Lovely traditional decor and a good pint.

A beautiful autumn day, sun shining on a chilly city. I am sat by the front window of the unassuming but delightful Bow Street Tavern. A lovely welcome when I arrived and beer, quickly and merrily dispensed. Quirky, incongruous and lovely as all pubs should be, according to their strengths. I enjoyed a lovely cold pint of lager. There is however, much more on offer for those with different tastes. A couple of cask ales, wines from everywhere and plenty more besides. The bar is open and deceptively roomy, also further treats including a rooftop garden upstairs over four floors. A real treat just on the eastern edge of Covent Garden. Most certainly worth a visit!

Nice place. Friendly staff. Questionable sandwiches (from my point of view). When I see "Cheddar and apple chutney with balsamic onions", I have a vision of substantially thick slices of cheese with a layer of sliced purplish onions and dollops of some sort of chutney (I'm aware chutney comes in many shapes and forms). I wasn't expecting grated cheese, a lettuce leaf and some bland/sad apple mix. After too long searching, I could not discern if there was balsamic onion or not. The whole thing was disappointing and the lettuce tasted out-of-place. I left feeling unsatisfied. Perfectly cooked chips though.

Booked out a private room for my birthday a couple of weekends ago & the service we received from booking all the way to the end of our night was absolutely fantastic. The team at Bow St Tavern were so accommodating & friendly, really made my day that extra bit special. The room itself was quirky & perfectly sized for a group of 20-30. There was a small bar opposite which made ordering extremely easy. Drinks were the price you’d expect for Covent Garden, but the food was great value for money & absolutely delicious! A special shout out to the buffalo wings & pie!! Thanks so much Bow St Tavern for a really wonderful night ❤️

Having popped into this pub by accident a couple of weeks ago (starving and tired) it has fast become my favourite central London spot for a drink. The hard working bar staff (two for the whole building) were incredibly helpful and sorted me out for a fantastic roast and excellent cider. The pub itself is strange and beautiful and is an incredibly relaxing place to be. I imagine it's a different place when the local shows are casting people out but having tried it in gentle periods I've seen it at it's best. Sadly I can't make the place my local as I live far away and the drinks are covent garden expensive. But I aim to drop in every time I need to be in town. An exceptional pub, I love it.

Nice refreshing pint. The place has great decor and is in a perfect place near covent garden train station. My only criticism is there was a small smoking area outside with quite a few glasses not being collected even though there was staff not busy. All in all an enjoyable experience

This is a small but lovely pub with a fascinating interior; it instantly feels like you’re amongst loads of history. The bar staff are welcoming and friendly and there’s a really good range of drinks available considering the size of the place. As well as some stools by the window and standard tables there’s some booths at that rear which are cosy. Toilets are equally as small down some steep stairs in the basement, clean enough though. Prices are reasonable for the area and the unique setting. Overall it’s a really nice place for a drink and a lovely different place in the area - I’ll certainly be returning.

Lovely tavern with different floors and an upstairs terrace available. The ground floor didn't appeal to me very much, but as soon as we reached the first floor it was calm and we could sit down nicely. The same as a lot of other taverns, fish and chips were advertised so we tried that. It tasted okay, it wasn't the best I had but it didn't taste bad.

I visited for drinks. It has all the beers and wines you'd expect to find but no cocktails so don't come here for that. The interior design is very full of character. There are multiple levels with different rooms for a bit more privacy. Some board games, including chess and quiz cards, are provided so you don't get too bored. Staff are also friendly:)

Excellent Fish&chips with câpres sauce served by a great staff with a very good customer service. Thank you to the young gentleman upstairs. We were lucky to get a cute table on the terrace outside, with blanket and heater. The best spot! Will definitely go back.

Lovely pub round the corner from Covent Garden, it is usually relatively quiet which is great for a break from busy London. The service is always fast and the staff friendly! The pub also has multiple screens where most major sporting competitions are shown.

Decent pub in a cool area. There's a rooftop area that we originally sat at but we were told to leave as it was still only for private functions. It looked like they were finishing renovations... The rooftop has huge potential if they put some work into making it look nicer and let people go there all the time.

I had lunch in this pub in November with a group of 7 other ladies. We were a little concerned at first as it was so quiet compared to the Marquis of Anglesey , but we were so glad we chose this pub in the end! The atmosphere was cosy and staff friendly. The food was very good and well priced. There was of Trivial Pursuit cards on each table which added to the festive feel and helped make our lunch a very pleasant social get together. The pub had only just reopened after refurbishment and we were given invitations to an opening event the following (sadly had to miss that!) Would definitely recommend this pub.

Food was good, but service was hard to come by. We got told to change seats since our table was reserved and that stuff we'd ordered from the menu was not available, and we got brought our food. But apart from those 3 interactions, we had to go get a menu, go put in our order, go find some salt, etc, sometimes on a different floor when there was no one to be found on our floor. To have the service charge added to the bill was a bit ironic, considering.

I was with workmates from Mexico for a conference in London, and we happened to pass by this Bar and kitchen in convent garden. We received a very good welcome from the doorman (Ronnie or Ronny,)last month, Who really convinced us to check it out. The food was fantastically amazing. the interior was amazing, thou the terrace was full already. We enjoyed our evening well. I will be coming to have my wedding anniversary their with my entire family in October. Keep it up guys.

Very lovely old (1700s) pub. Looks very small from the outside but It's deceptively large and has several floors - topped off with a roof terrace area. Very cozy. Perfect for groups. There's a great atmosphere, lovely food 👌 . Fantastic friendly staff. It seemed small, but then through small and twisted stairs you could reach small rooms located on the upper floors ...
