We did brewing class here, it was amazing. I have learnt a lot about the process and ended up with 40 bottles of delicious English IPA. It turned out great and we will certainly come back to brew again. Also, they have taphouse next-door serving tasty beers. Highly recommended

Bought my dad a 'make your own beer' class for his birthday - I also attended with him as a +1 and we had a great experience. Super helpful, extremely knowledgeable staff to help us along our way, convenient location - and you get to take away 40 bottles of beer at the end of it!

Awesome place, great beer, friendly staff, great location. They always have something different on tap, and the staff are very knowledgeable. I've not yet tried brewing my own beer but that's next on the list. My favourite place in Hackney!

Went in to purchase some brewing ingredients, from one of their recipes. Simon was really knowledgeable and helpful. He scaled all the ingredients according to the size of brewing pot that I have. Its nice to not do the calculations yourself and potentially make a mistake.
Plus no wastage. Normally you have to buy 500g of malt even when the recipe only calls for 150g. This means you either simplify the recipe, or buy much more than you need and end up with random amounts of malt.
Will definitely head back for more ingredients!!

Wow, what a nice place! Very nice selection of beers from tap. Super nice staff, nice outside seating in a cool area! Thats what i love London, and ofc its beer scene for!

Super helpful staff and welcoming environment. Homebrewers can buy the exact amount of ingredients they need, which is a huge advantage over the online shops.

Small but nice place. Cool staff, friendly service, beer choice is ok but not great as like others next to them.

Located on Bohemia Place Market in Hackney Central the prices are average for London. Big beer selection and other drinks on offer. You can get food from the market stalls and eat at the venue tables outside. The outside tables have cover for the great British summer. Staff ate friendly and service is quick.

Attended a Brew Club beginners course for my partner's birthday, and while we don't yet know how our brew has turned out (will be back soon to bottle it!) we are already planning to return to try new recipes! The class itself was such good fun and Jo was incredibly helpful. We are total novices and really appreciated the starter recipes and advice, the course is a great introduction to the world of home brewing - without the hassle of actually doing it at home. Can't wait to taste our first batch! Incidentally, we heard that a group recently used the Brew Club facilities to create a custom beer for a wedding; what a fantastic idea! Great place for a party as well I'm sure.

I got the beer class as a gift for my boyfriend, and it was really excellent. Jo is super knowledgeable and friendly, helping you learn to brew as well as teaching you about beer more generally. You get to brew your own beer choosing from one of Jo's recipes. We went for American IPA after sampling each -- there was also APA, English IPA and stout, all of which were tasty. You also get a free pint, with a variety on tap to choose from -- good to sip on as you imagine what yours might taste like in a few weeks time!
