Reviews of Brook House
I. B.
Lovely experience. I was there exactly 1mim before they were going to close the kitchen and they accepted to take our order. Food was great and the service very friendly. Can't wait to go again!!!

Was having my usual Sunday stroll around the common with my German Shepherd when I happened upon Brook House and decided to pop in for a quick drink. Well, I was certainly surprised, and impressed! The bar team were very knowledgeable and friendly and one lady in particular made the most beautiful espresso martini I had ever laid eyes on. After witnessing the staff carrying beautiful plates of Sunday roast (complete with a rather significant Yorkshire pudding presence) I opted to dine and was not disappointed! Service was quick and efficient and the host was extremely accommodating and helpful (and fashionable) I truly feel like I have found a haven amongst the hustle and bustle of city life and will be returning on the regular. Could not recommend this place more highly. Would give 2 additional stars if only google would allow!!!

We came down for the pop up bbq by BusStop BBQ. Their menu is simple, a chicken, pork & beef burger and pork croquettes. We ordered the chicken & beef option and some croquettes. By far the croquettes were the best option, great flavour and texture. Well accompanied with the spicy Mayo.
The chicken burger was the better of the 2, more satisfying. It is more filling, better texture and all round stronger taste.
The beef one just lacked on all these fronts and left me wanting more.
We never got to enter the pub as it was during the lockdown period but it looks great and the team were great. Their setup for serving and being able to take items over to the park was perfect.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and very delicious cuisine. My wife is vegan and they are very accomodating and friendly whenever we stop by. Be sure to say hi to Max (the dog) when you go!

Nice pub and lovely atmosphere. Great for a catchup with friends or family. Menu is good and caters for many preferences. Our food was a bit of a let down, probably not the normal standard - burnt Yorkshires, and a very small serving of risotto. Service was friendly.

Had previously walked past numerous times and it always looked very cosy, it didn’t disappoint, although don’t understand the serving of wine on tap ‘bizarre’, asked for a bottle of Sauvignon blanc and the bar staff were about to serve it off a bar tap until I said, no I want a proper unopened bottle which they then got, after drinking the nice New Zealand bottle of Sauvignon blanc, I just asked for two more glasses, which then unknowingly came from bar tap, the white wine tasted fizzy ‘what the hell’, my lovely date couldn’t drink it and I tried but couldn’t drink mine either, it was awful!1. Typical brit I am😀, I said nothing, didn’t complain. Apart from that the place was lovely, food was fine, would definitely go back.

We had such a beautiful experience at Brook House tonight. From the moment of arriving until we left it was so welcoming and plesent. The staff were amazing, especially Emily who took care of our table for the night and the food was absolutely delicious. The flavours we're beautifully balanced. From the burrata and parfait starters to the hurb crusted lamp rump that just melted in our mouths and to top it off we had the pistachio and raspberry opera was like a spoon full of heaven and the lemon tart with gin gel that was such a lovely balance of sour and sweet that I have never experienced before, I loved it! Thank you to the chefs for an amazing meal and staff for such welcoming hospitality.

Absolutely brilliant evening, top notch food, the staff were class too, Especially Marcia who is great at her job. Will be going back 100% and would recommend to everyone.

Our 4th visit to Brook House, 2nd time taking friends who hadn't been before and really enjoyed themselves. The staff are welcoming, cheerful and helpful, a cosy happy atmosphere, lovely decor and as always, delicious food and wines. A firm favourite of ours.

I don't live far from this pub but have never been in until this week. We found the staff pleasant and helpful, and decor was great giving a good vibe. I'll definitely return.
Incidentally, if you have a dog, they are fine with that. They even have water and dog treats!

Great service, very attentive but not overbearing. The food was very tasty and fresh. Nice atmosphere too. Would recommend.

This is a gem of a place with awesome staff who serve the most delicious food and go above and beyond. I thoroughly enjoyed the foie gras starter followed by the scrumptious cod with scallops. They have a great drinks selection to compliment the warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Brook House!

Great pub for friendly, upscale neighbourhood meals in Fulham. Very friendly staff and a welcoming attitude. The food and drinks were lovely too

Amazing food and great service. Our waitress Haven was super professional.

Visited here with a nice lady friend on Thursday and had a wonderful evening. It was a little busy but the food and wine were well worth the wait. I had a nicely done sea bass. Enjoyed a lovely chocolate tart that the missus is still talking about now! The waitress with red hair and plaits (we think Alice or Alex maybe?) Was really lovely and very prompt/considerate. A real testament to the staff at Brook House. Thanks again all.

I absolutely loved this place. I had the most amazing fish and chips, crab donaughts and cured salmon which came with a mouthwatering sauce made of avocado and horseradish. My husband however was not as satisfied with the rest’s signature dish which was an aged steak, he found it to be below average.
The pub is beautifully decorated and presents large windows that overlook the park making it very bright.
Staff tries to be helpful but seems like they need more experience as the service is somewhat sloppy.
F. W.
Fantastic food, drinks and ambiance! Had a fantastic catchup with friends and the Sunday roast was exceptional. The service was fantastic and intentive, recommending some fantastic dishes on the menu. The Chocolate cremù and Opera cake being one of the best desserts I have had in a long time. Lovely space for drinkers outside in the sunshine after lunch. Definitely be back as a prime local pub in Fulham!

We had a wonderful evening at Brook House on the last night before Tier 3 rules came into place. Attentive and good humoured service, relaxed yet buzzy atmosphere, comforting and alluring décor. The food was fantastic and we can't wait to return when they reopen to sample the other dishes!
J. L.
Nice place and good service from the staff. Just expensive with not much choice of food from the mains. Coffees and teas took a long time to arrive, hopefully that doesn't happen all the time.
A. P.
This place has really taken off under new management. Food is delicious, staff are amazing and always seem to go the extra mile. Despite turning up at one of the busiest periods in the most challenging times, every accommodation was made to ensure that we had the best dining experience possible. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.
V. M.
Decor and atmosphere in this place is very special, it really is a lovely venue. No complaints, but It is however very pricey, and I feel that I've had similar standard food for a fair bit cheaper in similar pubs and restaurants in the Fulham area.
W. M.
We had Sunday lunch and it has to be said it was excellent... Our starters of harissa carrots and crab tart were perfect portions and very tasty. For mains we had roast beef, which at 4.30pm I was sceptical as to whether or not it would be ok, I needn't have worried as it was superb. The beef was juicy and plentiful, the roasties were fab as was the veg but the Yorkshire pudding was epic! It really is great to see a place put such effort in to the smaller details... The roast cod was also fantastic, wonderfully light and cooked to perfection. Deserts followed and they were of the same very high standard. They have a great familiar menu and it is a real treat when the classics are delivered just as you hoped they would be. Many other places offer similar fayre but it's been a long time since I've seen every element of a meal nailed as well as this was. But what really sets The Brook House apart is the team that looked after us. Each person we encountered was attentitive and genuinely interested in our experience and special mention has to go to Dando and Ferne who looked after us so well. We can't wait for our next outing to The Brook House as if it's anything as good as yesterday's then we will be very happy bunnies indeed... Bravo Brook House... Keep it up!!!

Another transformed place of late. Easily my favourite pub at the moment, with the best (non Michelin) food there is in the area. It was always a fun place, but slightly grungy and musty previously. New management(?) has turned this around big time. Booking essential. Ala carte menu a must have, wine list exceptional (for a pub) too. Expensive and worth it.

Great staff and service, great atmosphere. Very poor vegetarian menu most options had garlic. Asked for salad nicoise without tuna, cheese substituted in very very small amount, basically just a large bowl of lettuce for £17. Others at the table even commented. Advised waitress, sympathetic but no action to rectify. They really need to look at decent vegetation options.

We had a great meal at Brook House yesterday. All the food was excellent quality and overall very good value. The service was very good and attentive when we arrived but as it got busier it was clear they were a little short-staffed. If they had maintained the service throughout this would have rated 5 stars. well worth a visit.
J. S.
Lovely Decor warm and welcoming. Great staff. Haven't tried the menu yet but will return
H. S.
Loved it here. We enjoyed an excellent roast dinner over the Easter weekend with a very fine wine, in idyllic surroundings with a joyous, lightly buzzing atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and attentive, without being overbearing. It's always busy, apparently, and with good reason.
L.
The space is beautiful, overlooking Eal Brook common & the food was great. I ate delicious smoked salmon and grilled local lobster; they bring the table excellent soda bread. They had nice champagne on the menu (I had some) & a really good espresso martini. Though a pub, the food was fantastic and definitely more upscale and attractive than most.
F. B.
We had an amazing night here; incredible food in a lovely venue. The staff were really friendly and had so much knowledge about the food and wine. Clearly a lot thought has been put into each dish.
A. K.
The food and atmosphere was lovely here, (albeit pricey) but my birthday was somewhat ruined by the owner unfortunately. Whilst in the middle of ordering with our waitress, he took it upon himself to come over to our table and ask us to respect Prince Harry's privacy (he was dining with friends). Now while it was initially a bit shocking to see Prince Harry in the same restaurant, I was actually more concerned about having a nice birthday meal with my friends to be honest and thought he was coming over to apologise for the slow service! There were only a few tables in there, we waited 20 minutes to get drinks and no one came to check on us during our meal. For the amount you pay for drinks and food, I would expect better.
L. H.
Lovely gastro pub, the food is delicious and good portion sizes. Service is good and the decor is lovely, can't think about anything about this place that isnt great- personally I like the starters so would recommend getting 2-3 of them instead of a starter and a main
J. T.
Had my birthday dinner there with a couple of pals. Great atmosphere to catch up and eat some great food and drink great wine. Couple of "boys will be boys" moments including drinking sherry through the bone marrow but as long as we didn't disrupt the other diners we were given a wide berth to enjoy ourselves which we most definitely did! Highly recommend!
J. M.
First meal out since, well, seemingly forever as lockdown relaxes. Shared the special, stuffed courgette flower, delicious. Beautiful steak sharer for main, 800g of beautifully cooked (rare to medium rare) steak.
A. L.
We had an excellent evening at Brook House. Sitting at their spectacular bar with the sun beaming in from the common . The enormous glass windows fully opened at the front providing a welcome breeze . Delicious food, charming and engaging bar staff. Will be returning very soon. Thanks for the experience. Adam

Yet again a fantastic lunch at Brook House.
The scallop was lovely the flavours in the butter sauce were mouth watering. The roast beef was cooked to perfection, with the most humongous yorkshire pudding. My 84 yr old Mum asked for a small plate of roast chicken, that was supposed to be a childs portion it too was large but she thoroughly enjoyed it. We shared the lemon meringue pie, their pastry chef is amazing so gifted, thank you to Liv and all the staff we will be back soon xxx
S. Y.
The roast here was the best I have had in London. We came here for a family occasion having pre-booked in advance. Lovely atmosphere, great staff and they took COVID safety very seriously.
A. G.
The food is always of a high standard but the service is so poor which really lets it down. Such a shame. The manager is very welcoming and friendly but is oblivious to the issues that are occuring around him: long waits to be served, incorrect orders, no apology for getting an order wrong, delays between different parts of order (fries come after we've finished our main) and they're generally quite rude and dismissive, which means they miss the detail in the order. I will keep going back because it is closeby and the food is great but please sort out your service...
M. G.
Really, only 4.2 out of 5?
Definitely a 5!
Possibly the best service combined with the best presented and the most flavoursome food I've enjoyed for too long (and I eat out a lot!).
Attentive service, without being intrusive; friendly but still professional.
Portions sized to perfection; sufficient to satisfy without overfilling.
Flavours perfectly balanced and dishes cooked to equal perfection. 👌
I will certainly be back and, given how full it was on a Tuesday evening, I won't be alone.
Cannot recommend it enough.

Beef croquettes currently being served are one of the greatest things I've ever eaten - is a must try. Cheers for the experience.

I've been here many time before the pandemic, and once recently.
The food is consistently excellent. Thank you, chef!

What a place, what a pub. I would describe it as ‘very hind-end Gastro’. Not to be confused with very high-end Glasto, which are completely different things indeed. Anyway, how marvellous to watch the Rugby World Cup final here. The setup, food and staff were superb. Chappers is a great addition too. I have never met an ex professional footballer before (more of a rugby man) but Chappers was highly entertaining, even if egg chasing is not really his thing. 5 stars to Mark and the team, bravo Sa!

Totally new place - excellent food even a day or two after opening. Salmon blini, beef and broccoli (yes, really) were particular highlights. Also enjoyed the house red!
L. C.
Lovely food. I had a starter of smoked salmon and caviar. The whole meal was delicious and the grapefruit sorbet was so refreshing.
J. B.
Reopened and we had a Superb dinner with fantastic service. Menu and quality of the food was excellent and it was great to see the atmosphere returning even with all the necessary safety measures.
L. F.
Always very enjoyable and good food

I had my birthday dinner here with a group of friends. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was excellent and the food was gorgeous. I will 100% be coming back. ❤️

Best place in Fulham! I can’t believe how good is the steak tartare, as I was looking for that and especially a good one in London, and it’s not easy ;-) so really happy to have this new place here !!!
B. M.
Great pub overlooking the green. Always good banter with the staff and good to see the lockdown hasn’t hit them as hard since they still appear to be very busy!
S. A.
Brilliant first visit. Menu was genuinely creative and interesting, service was fantastic, beautiful decor and Covid compliant. Faultless visit. 10/10.
G. M.
Renovated average public house with nouveau ground floor community space gastro pub my waitress was American masters classic actress and did a fine job food menu small but simple wine was affordable and upwards staff attention was exceptional I will always visit when I visit from Paris

Haven’s service was 5 stars!xxx

Very nice and busy gastropub on Eelbrook Common. Friendly staff serve their rather good namesake lager from the keg. Sat at the bar.

Amazing pub. Food is outstanding. Service could be better/quicker but still 5 stars!

Really great fit out. Burrata and pork were dope. People bring their dogs. Lots of them. Apparently that’s like a thing now. 🤷♂️
