A. O. (.Great atmosphere. The choices of beer could be better, but it's alright. Fair prices and the portions were big, for small women maybe too big! I definetly recommend the bbq ribs. All in all a good place for food and drinks!

A. M.Fantastic pub! We were out for a friends birthday but wasn’t keen on the place we were in so went across the road to the Camden Head. We are so glad we did! They have the friendliest staff, best cocktails (Watermelon Sugar High) and got served straight away, also, we could sit outside and drink, smoke and chat to our hearts content! After a couple of hours the security asked us all to come inside for the disco/DJ. We had a great time dancing the night away! Would highly recommend this pub and we will definitely go back!
W.Absolutely loved it here, I love how LGBT-friendly the pub is. I was gutted after being denied entry at another pub for carrying a guitar but the doorman at this pub told me it was fine and I just had to look after it. The staff and patrons were wonderful.
M. A. G.I came here for a comedy show called Silly Boy which was very enjoyable. The venue upstairs was intimate and had a good atmosphere. Also the chairs were very comfortable! Downstairs there's a large island bar and a variety of seating indoors and outdoors. There was also classic Camden music being played from Primal Scream to The Cure. Would definitely recommend.
p. b.Very, very loud music, no Cask Ale but a good selection of Keg Craft Ales, Staff friendly, knowledgeable, needs cleaning up especially the toilets.
R. I.Nice little place in Camden. Staff's are great- I was expecting a bit better from the food tho. I would have been ok with 30min wait if the the chicken in the burger was not but cold and the onion rings were not extra done. They could have taken someone eye out if I lobbed it. The Guacamole ball thing on the other hand...was on point. 🙌🙌 the presentation is insta worthy! Maybe next time it will be better.

E. W.Go here every week after softball, the staff are always super accommodating for our large group, and do there best to find us table of 6 nearby one another. Only thing to note is they could speak up a bit when delivering orders to table, it's always so hard to hear them (and you can't read lips because of the masks).
S. L.It was closing time and we were looking for the last drink of the night with my mates, the bartender accepted gently my request and accomodate us even if it was a long shift for her probably.. And my Dark & Stormy was excellent!

P. S.Great music choice, fab staff.....better entertainment with 9 police officers arresting one elderly male whom was dragged out in handcuffs.
Spent the next 25 minutes licking the window and listening to foul abusive language towards the officers.
Reasonable selection of draught drinks and massive selection of spirits.

J. B.Just an of the wall, awesome place to eat! Simple menu! Pick your burger, side, and wood for your burger to be smoked over. Burgers are served under glass, which is filled with smoke from the wood you chose. Also, BEST onion rings I've ever had in my life!!

Tuesdays have 2 buns for only £10 +£1 and that includes 2 sides. If you are in Camden Town, definitely you will not be disappointed!

B.Not bad little pub quite busy the smoking burgers look good although didn't have one as was just visiting the comedy club upstairs.....did have some chips and onion rings which I thought was a bit ££ but they were fresh and did taste good. Had music at 10 and late license. Prices are about right for London.

J. J.Happy hour is until 8pm every day, which is nice. The cocktails are nice, beers are quite expensive but normal prices for London. I had fish and chips, the chips were delicious, the fish was also nice but quite doughey. Second time I went here I had the original burger, which is amazing and delicious and I'd totally recommend it! You can choose your own smoke, which is cool. Nice, cozy pub, it was quite busy, even on a monday evening.

The staff are friendly and helpful, serving with a smile. The place is kept clean.
The only downside is that the food menu is basically "how to you want your burger?" and could be a bit more expansive.

The burger special is a total bargain, and includes a smoke dome over the burger elevating the experience with a flair for the dramatics. Big portions, too. Oh and an amazing happy hour selection (and very generous happy hour time frame!)
H. H.Decent clientele, nice staff, the ladies loos could be kept on top of a bit better, but I think when I went there was a party upstairs and so heavy usage of the two ladies toilets! Fairly easy to grab a table for four of us after a short wait. Would go again!

Y.A nice place to visit for a drink and food. I was here for the NYE party, unfortunately for the £5 entry fee, there was a significant shortage of seating, though we were lucky to get one after some standing. The atmosphere was lively and the bar staff are friendly.

J. H.Upon entering the pub I was immediately taken back by how uninviting the plunge was at the time, 1 person, a film was on and it was just a pub. I ordered the burger with zero expectation and frankly exciting a bland microwaved burger. Let me tell you..... This couldn't be further from the truth. I was simply blown away by the burger and the chips. The burger was actually like nothing I had tasted before. I chose the Apple wood smoked burger. (See photos) with Chunky chips.
The reason for no 5 Star is thru didn't have make vinegar... This for me normally spells soon and gloom but the chips were that good that I still enjoyed my meal.
Well played, I now am often dreaming about getting on head in Camden.

s. s.We had a vegan jackfruit burger (the other ones were finished) and it was way too small. The filling was basically red cabbage (it was supposed to be a red cabbage slaw) The pretzel bread looked a bit dry to me.
The chicken burger was very nice (extra blue cheese is the key!). The smoky taste was very nice (whiskey barrel) and the concept is different and it smelled very nice. I would mot recommend the vegan option. I think there's way better to do with a vegan burger. The sweet potato fries are awesome and crunchy without beeing oily.

T. V.Oh dear. The best pub in London and it always makes the day to go there. The smokey burger is insane and they have Blue Moon on tap! And this Bravertown's Gamma ray ale I've jist tried was awsome! And yhey have the craziest playlist going all the time. When the coral came on then the stereophonics it topped then anyway amazing experience.
And I didn't even mention the comedy club.
CAMDEN HEAD ROCKS!
J. P.Came for the comedy club rather than the pub/club. We saw 5 brilliant acts that had me in stitches. Each one was different from the last so there is probably something for everybody. Very nice way to find new promising acts as well as some veterans on the scene. The venue above the Camden Head's Pub was very intimate allowing a lot of banter between the acts and the audience. The jokes in which the comedians improvised with the audience was the funniest parts of the show. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the show was meant to start at 20.00 but didn't get started until 21.00 as they tried to cram late guests into the room. Get there early if you want a decent seat.

a. b.Nice pub with friendly staff and good choice of drinks but what makes this place is the smoking burgers. Huge burgers, beautifully presented under a glass dome under which a flavoured smoke swirls to give your choice of food an added taste sensation. The fries are well cooked and the beer battered onion rings are off the scale. And at £10 for the burger, fries, coleslaw and corn on the cob it's an absolute no-brainer.

J. M.Great North London pub. Menu had wide selections of burgers and was reasonably priced. Central location and lots of events. We were there to see the Natural Born Storytellers night but looks like they also have a lot of stand up comedy.

J. V.The camden head is a very good british pub. You should go and try their hamburguer, it is special because it is big and its a smoked hamburguer. Besides that you can have a very good side that's allways very well served. The music and the atmosphere around is also very pleasant.
D. R.The bar was busy and had a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and quick. What really stole the show was the burger, with its unique smoke (with different types to choose from) makes it stand out, many other places would take novelty over quality which this is not the case here. The burger is second best I have tried in the world. Cooked perfectly medium rare with crispy bun and well seasoned party. Coleslaw and gerkins were a refreshing side. Only complaint was the beer battered onion rings were a bit over done and needs a more pungent beer because just tasted like normal rings. This place is definitely worth a stop if your craving a good burger and nice atmosphere

K. P. (.The Camden Head is a whole lotta hype, though I have had many enjoyable nights with friends here. In the evenings at's crowded (as you'd expect for a bar on Camden High Street), you'll have to wait ages for a drink (and that's once you've reached the bar), and the prices are steep for what's on tap (but that's probably due to the location). Regardless, if you're after a late, boozy night in Camden with some drinks and dancing The Camden Head is probably your most affordable option.

A. F.I go to the Camden Head a lot and always have a great time. The staff are friendly, it has a good selection of drinks and great food. It also has a very good live music room upstairs where I've seen some fantastic acts playing. Whether your look for a chilled out meal during the day, or a good party atmosphere in the evening, it has it all. Thoroughly recommend the place.

All round nice pub, good range of beer, friendly staff. The smoke-dome burgers are hilarious - while the smoke-domes are a bit daft, the burgers underneath are tasty. As are the deep-fried avocado things. I think they do comedy upstairs, but I've only ever been there to drink/eat. Don't get it confused with the Camden Head in Islington, which also does comedy. But probably doesn't have smoke-dome burgers.

Whilst the venue does say it is a Gastro Pub I differ in opinion, it is more a pub with good food, nothing gastro just good.
The pub is one o fCamden’s oldest pubs, established in 1787. Well worth a visit.

F. W. (.They have live comedy which is a big plus and the selection of beer is good (even if it averages £5 a pint of the good stuff).
But, let's talk toilets. As in, they're not very good. In fact, if you decide to use the male bathroom and you need the cubicle (of which there's one), you wish you could be using a terrible vacuum toilet in a bus instead. At least the terrible vacuum toilet on a bus doesn't splash your danglies with cold water *after* you've inevitably used up all the toilet paper. It doesn't even have a proper seat, so you're forced to sit on stainless steel colder than than the icy depths of your middle school bully's soul. I'd honestly rather use one of those squatting toilets they have in France in some places. Maybe it's an attempt at one of those Turkish crack blasters, but at least those use warmer water. Clearly, this toilet was designed to punish those who dare to walk into it.
Which is a shame because the bathroom overall was very clean, a rarity for Camden.

A. K.It's a beautiful pub with wooden interior and deep sunken sofas, books and board games for entertainment making this pub resemble a family lounge. And it's no wonder that it felt so cosy and comforting - The Camden Head was voted as having the best staff in 2010! There's also a great photo of Camden High Street on the wall from 1903.
