Reviews of Cittie of Yorke

Brilliant Samuel Smiths, City pub. Built in 1920s Tudor but has a great atmosphere despite that. Good range of food and some very snug seating areas. Has an amazing fireplace (s) too

I really liked this pub when I visited 2019. It’s very unique with old world feel, wood floor and paneling. Large barrels abound which give it all a very old London feel. There are cubicles to sit in too which are really nice, plenty of standing room and a long bar.
The beers are Samuel Smith which I like and staff were attentive.
I would definitely check this pub out it you’ve not been it really has a great character and worth stopping for a pint if you’re in the area.

Lovely old pub.
It was so relaxing to have a pint here.
This place is really sending you in the past. The architecture, the smell of wood, the smell of beer 🍺 and the polite service are given you the feeling of coming back.
Thank you for the extraordinary experience.

Lovely old pub steeped in history. Lovely beer and they are passionate about there guest ales and look after it. Love sitting in the front room you can just imagine what went on with the gentry of yesteryear. Although this pub has only been built since 1920 there has been a pub on this site since 1430!

Not the ebst place but not bad. You can feel the english pub smell from the 1st second you open the door. Nice design tho... prices not bad I can say. Near to tube station and that's a plus.

This place is a delight for the eyes, everything is for us to gaze and be amazed, from the massive barrels to the carved wood and old rustic vibe of the place. The beer is also amazing, they have so much to try and taste, and the barman was super nice the night I've been there. Thanks a lot for this experience !

Lovely pub , you would think you had gone back to Dickens time . The food and drink are good. The building and interior with all the wood panelling are beautiful. With a beautiful arch in iron work with the name of the pub in gold

Yesterday I went to Cuttie of Yorke pub. One of the oldest pub in the central London. Nice entrance after opening the door and first steps instead of the pub you can tell this opinion is correct. Beautiful ceiling with massive beams, on the sides of the walls we can see old barrels. Nice old Interior. Small menu. I had Lambs Liver & Onion's.... delicate lambs liver in an extra rich onion gravy served with mashed potato and fresh vegetables £6.95 and BRITISH BEEF burger £9.95. Food was nice but nothing special typical pub food. They have a big variety of drinks, beers, cider. If you like modern noise places this place is not for you.
