Reviews of Devonshire Arms Kensington
B. A. N.
Friendly staff, dog friendly and really nice fooooood. I really like the local vibes, very chill and even other customers are so friendly. Maybe they should change the name to the friendly Devonshire Arms haha
S. G.
Great find as staying round the corner in one of the hotels. Nice outside area for those who like that sort of thing and very pleasant inside albeit a bit dark! Still atmosphere is everything eh - music playing is different but certainly not unpleasant. Food was pretty good I have to say and came out in good time. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. All in all a great place well worth a visit..... or two
R. S.
One of the best pubs in Kensington, if not the best. Fabulous service, cosy, splendid outside terrace ! Excellent drinks! If they could only do a proper whiskey on the rocks with proper ice!
K. M.
Fabulous Sunday roast. Attentive and friendly staff. Welcoming atmosphere with a neighborhood feel. Next time will book a garden table. Thanks, Devonshire Arms and see you soon.
K. S.
Nice place to come on a Sunday, Relaxing and food is superb!! We ordered the fish and chips, and burger and chips. Best burger I've had in a while. Fresh and bbq taste to it to!! Highly recommend
V. B.
I had the salmon and it was an explosion of delicate flavours. I would say it was the best late lunch of the weekend. I love my cooking and i wish i know how to cook the peppers like this chef did. Delicious 😋
A. R.
Great, lively place! Friendly and efficient staff. Wonderful beer garden. Lovely drinks. Quick service. And the food is SUPERB. Go. Here. Now.

All over experience:
Very nice local pub. Go there!
Beverage: Good choice of ales and Gin or other Cocktail stuff
Food: traditional things and also good Sandwiches and burgers as well
Staff: quick and friendly
Location: nice and cosy with a functional area for larger groups. Outside sitting possible. Not a touristic place.

Had a lovely meal her last night we are staying in a hotel near by. book for Sunday lunch so thought we would give it a try on Thursday night. what a lovely friendly place all staff are very nice all say hello. good food and nice pint looking forward to having Sunday lunch well done keep it up don't forget to book as very busy and they don't take cash only card 💳 but that's fine
W. P.
The Ambiente and Food is perfect, but the staff ignored our table nearly the whole time. Inside, 2 tables had guests. The table with the french customers was served every 5min, they were asked how the food was, if they wanted anything else etc. Our table was 2 tables next to them and we got overseen / ignored 5 times by 3 different staff. We would have loved to give more stars if we were served as well as the table next to us.
F. R.
Excellent place, wonderful 'beer garden'. The food is amazing, def try the scotch egg. Fresh Guinness on tap, great service. Fab pub!
C. L.
One of the best pubs in the area, great staff and very friendly!. Great beer selection.
C. G.
Decent enough pub food (expensive); helpful staff. A good place for an evening meet up with friends. £16.50 for a burger in a pub doesn't get you 5 stars though.
M. C.
Great atmos, friendly staff, good food and a nice outdoor balcony. Loved the place and will be back.
L. A.
Had a lovely sunday lunch here with my new partner and her family the food was really nice, i would recommend you try this pub out.
Many Thanks.
L. S.
Excellent authentic British pub food and service! We had Steak & Cheddar Pie (with flaky crust, cabbage & root veggies, generous gravy) and Fish & Chips.
R. C.
A cozy place. We had lunch and dinner here. Carrot soup outstanding. Varied menu is very good. Service outstanding.
A. R.
Nice food, the smoked bacon is amazing.
Ruben, the Portuguese waiter, is a really nice guy. Grande torcedor do Boavista!!!
A. F.
This was our first time visiting this pub. Paula and Andy were great. The whole team were very professional and we felt very safe in terms of Covid restrictions. They were accommodating of our two big dogs, the food was great and service on point! Looking forward to seeing the place with indoor dining open. We will definitely be returning!
R. B.
This is my new go-to pub in Kensington. Great environment. Excellent British pub fair. Great selection of local and imported beers. Bit of a neighborhood feel compared to other pubs in the area.
S.
A pub with a non-pretentious Kensington touch. And air conditioning. Interesting menu and well-presented food dishes. Not too expensive for the area either. Pity that the outside garden is in the shade in the afternoon unfortunately.
A. B.
A nice pub with a little outside area with a few tables... Perfect for summer sunny days.
Offers a wide selection of beers and other beverages.
I did not try food.
J. K.
This place is just amazing. Very casual, relax place. Friendly staff. Our waiter, I think her name was Irene is superfriendly small girl. She recommended Cesar salad to me. Was very tasty and for good price as well.
B. M.
Popular bar in the area with a good outside area which is kept warm in winter with some pretty good heaters.
M. H.
Fantastic service, amazing food, great beer. Overall highly recommended
P. R. S.
Nice pub to have a drink with friends, and also pretty good food too. Not on the cheap end, but adequate to what you get.
j. d.
Friendly pub, great atmosphere, drinks good and amazing decor
S. F.
Nice traditional London pub, just behind Holiday Inn kensington.
Lovely outdoor area, but it does get busy.
F. B.
Lovely little bar with loads of character good food lovely staff.
D. S.
This pub is a great find. So nice to be able to sit outside! The Staff were very accommodating. Good beer selection and friendly vibes.
a. s.
One of my favourite place to spend time with my friends. Good ambiance but above all very nice staff!
A. K.
Very nice atmosphere,Good quality food
K. M.
Really decent Sunday roast! I like the vibe of the place, but was eating there when only outdoors seating was allowed and... didn’t like much fact that there was no split between smoking and non smoking. Sitting between smoking people when one is non smoker is not fun 😰
A. E.
Great pub food, lovely location. Staff are great.
R. W.
Friendly staff, very helpful and attentive. Great proper Sunday roast
M. R.
Really liked this pub. Food was good. Service was excellent. Sunday roast was nice. Patio area was well set up for comfortable outdoor dining in all sort of weather - heat lamps, umbrellas, etc. It's a newer interior and seems updated with still some old atmosphere.
D. B.
Nice place, food not great and made to feel unwelcome when they wanted to close at 9.30. Sent home at 9.30... what am I? 7 years old? Nachos appeared to be some sort of deep fried pancake, combined with a miniscule amount of cheese and dips/garnish that appear to have been prepared by a cat. Shame as location/building quite nice.
It also seems that the PR team are patronising, assuming that customers will only have ever tried "Shop Bought" nachos and as such have neither the knowledge or experience to pass comment on those offered on the menu. I appreciate good food and innovation with mundane dishes. This was neither of those. Tesco Value nachos it is then.
A. H.
Fantastic pub really friendly staff and great food well worth a visit
M. M.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Damn cold beer and fantastic fish & chips.
A. D.
Nice environment and quiet too - probably as it was mid week but always a nice ambience here
M.
Managed to get the last table in this hidden gem on a Friday night, was very busy yet still had a relaxed welcoming atmosphere, the lady on the door was very friendly and helpful in getting me a table and the guy serving me was very knowledgable and friendly. I had the fish chips it was great. Would definitely recommend visiting!
M. H.
We had a brilliant experience at The Devonshire Arms and would definitely recommend. The atmosphere is laid back and informal with a lovely, well kept indoors and a good size outdoors to enjoy when the weather allows. The food was delicious and the menu was varied and interesting.
They are taking Covid very seriously and have made all the necessaries adaptations which made us feel very safe. The team members were courteous, professional and friendly.
We were next in line to enter the pub behind the gentleman in a wheelchair who left a 1-star review and we witnessed the "incident" and that's the main reason for leaving this review: They were courteous and professional, they never denied him the access but we felt he misunderstood what they said and he was extremely rude. They did not deserve that. We stayed a few hours and the team had to deal with several award guests refusing to follow the new Covid rules and they were great! Keep up with the amazing work!
R. C.
Had the joys of spending my last week in London in this beautiful old pub before heading to the countryside for Christmas break. From the warm welcome and goodbye we enjoyed every moment.
The garden is small but utilised very well, some tables are heated and all are covered. Could only imagine the atmosphere pre covid. Dogs are welcome and the waiters are over with a bowl of water before you know it.
The menu is very gastro with some pub classics as well. The festive burger was amazing abs cooked just right and the sausage and mash was everything you’d expect in a pub classic but with the added crispy fried onions.
Thanks for having us and see you next year :)
E. T.
Would like to personally thank Ana for her amazing service she made sure we were well looked after and she was so helpful and attentive! 5 stars all around for the atmosphere and interior as well!
K. S.
Tasty food, nice ambiance, warm and cosy.
M. B.
They were very welcoming, served a great pint and provided me great food. I enjoyed the classic fish and chips so much (crisp coating and flaky fish with perfect fries) that I went back the next night for the salmon with prawns. Awesome again. A good deal.
J. W.
First pub meal out of lockdown and the team here were great. Followed new health and safety protocols but still made us feel genuinely welcome. Burger tasted amazing!
A. W.
Spacious place both inside and out but I prefer the outdoor seating if you want more privacy. Food were amazing and the selection of drinks were amazing. Lovely staff, great job!
F. T.
One of the best Sunday roasts I ever had ! I ate beef roast and oh my God , was to die for . The sticky toffee pudim was melting in my mouth and they have lovely drinks . Very friendly staff ! So happy we found this hidden gem ! Note: dog friendly
J. S.
I have frequented this pub 100 or so times over the last 15 years. I prefer it on evenings when it isn't overly busy. I was there last night which was a Monday, and it was nice.
The staff is always great. My only complaint is that they were out of Guinness, so I had a Camden Hell instead.
See you next time.
C. T.
Tiny Rebel on draught and cracking front garden.
I. R.
Really good Sunday roast had outside in their beer garden. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Called that morning to book table and it was no problem - pub was busier by the time we left (6/7pm) but still not packed.
P. F.
The food in this pub is a " cut above the rest" . We a party of seven dined here on Sunday evening and all of us said the food was top class.
Most had the Sunday lunch of roast chicken and vegetables with one taking the fish and chips option and the last order of roast beef.
All mains were truly delicious and cooked to order , and we followed up with deserts mostly sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and a chocolate brownie. Really excellent.
The pub decor is attractive and with a warm feeling .The only quibble would be that service which was an the slightly slow side but most importantly, the food was well worth waiting for. This is not cheap food but at the end of the day represents value for money due to the food s quality.
B. A.
Friendly staff and superb food!
L. “. P.
I've been there with some friends, the staff was so kind! We've tried few plates from the menu, everything was delicious, especially the beef pie and the Sunday roast!
It's possible to eat outside, there's a very cute garden but remember to order before 9 pm!
I'll return there again for sure!
The bartender John was so gentle and helped us choose the best beers!
R. P.
Really nice pub. I think the manger Andy is a testament to the establishment, very accommodating. Will defo return next time for a few more swift halves when I pass through London
E. P.
Lovely pub, Ana is amazing on the front door and overall service. Definitely recommend!
j. M.
I had an amazing experience at this pub . The staff is super efficient and kind and the drinks and food were super good aswell
I really recommend it.
G. C.
Great place to sit, the beer garden fantastic
P. B.
Lovely chilled out vibe. Food v. nice, Sunday roast went down well. Good place to catch up with friends. Close to Gloucester Road tube so you can use as a stop off point before visiting central London or on way back. Stayed at Holiday Inn & 5 mins walk away. Will visit again.
G. o. (.
Lovely atmosphere, warm staff
D. B.
Great bar. Staff are so lovely and attentive. The food was so fresh and tasty. I had a burger with sweet potato fries. They will let you have a taste of something befoe they pour it. The mulled cider they do is great on a cold winter night If you are in London then you should come in. Even if its a little bit out of your way.
D. G.
Went in for something to eat as it's only walking distance from our Hotel. I had "bangers and mash" whilst my partner had fish and chips. We both had half a pint bitter shandy. Service was quick, our meals delicious and filling and staff very friendly. Good decision to go and delighted with our meal choices.
Recommended for anyone else staying in the area!
T. A.
My husband and I hosted our birthday lunch yesterday at the pub and got incredible service. The food was delicious, and the ale was really good too. All our 20 guests loved the setting and the food. So thank you very much for giving us the space and being great hosts.
t.
Nice atmosphere, great food, good service.

I first starting going here over 50 years ago.
Truly a "local". Has good food, always good company
and seating outdoors. Good selection of beers and
the staff are always friendly. You cannot go wrong here.
A.
5 mins walk from copthorne tara, good food and drinks.
S. S.
Lovely staff and average London prices. Friends have told me good thongs about the food but I have yet to try it. There is a nice beer garden but it closes around 10pm. I imagine it's a very nice place to socialise in the summer.
J. P.
Great selection of ciders and beers. It does tend to get pretty crowded, so go early for dinner. The fish and chips were great, and the homemade tartar sauce was exceptional. The servers were very helpful and nice. We would have come back again except it was so crowded about 6:30pm and after. Great for a lunch or early dinner, along with a drink.
E. P.
This is such a wonderful pub. It's a local pub, but can cater to anyone whether out of town or out of neighborhood. The bartender is great fun and had me sample a few beers before making a selection to go with dinner. And the food! Everything is homemade and amazingly DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this spot to everyone.
A. P.
Your typical friendly neighbourhood pub.
Very popular in the evenings.
Great outdoor seating, streetwise, but on a mostly quiet road.
No takeout offered, but supportive if you bring your own dishes to still bring some dinner home.
Not a quiet place exactly, more of a lively atmosphere
n. p.
Lovely pub, really busy for a friday. Food was great, had two lots of olives and some starters, both of which were very good. And they serve a few ciders, ideal for the south west folk.
C. C.
Food was amazing! Nice little garden/patio on the front and very quiet neighborhood
J. B.
Very nice food, abundant and tasty!
The price is a little expensive but it is worth it!
Very cozy local!
F. J.
Good beer selection, good food and nice outdoor seating if you get there early enough. As a US expat I love getting pints of Sierra Nevada here.
In terms of food, the fried chicken is amazing. The burger is good too although the last time they skimped out on the pulled pork for which they charge an extra £2.50.
Occasionally they get a bit swamped and don't take food orders until the kitchen can catch up.
L. G.
Ate at this pub last night. What a great ambiance. The food was extremely tasty, we had the fish pie for two, and the service quick and friendly.
Just loved that it was so buzzy and welcoming. Will definitely visit again when we next come to London.
J. H.
Wow! What a great little pub! Super nice and great beers. Unfortunately, when I arrived they closed the kitchen because they were too busy! We are going to wait an see if it reopens in 30 mins like they say, them we will know if the food is any good... Crazy as I can't imagine any restaurant in America closing their kitchen at dinner!! ...... We did get to order and it was great food. Relaxed atmosphere. Recommend
L. L.
Fabulous place to eat in the garden. Well managed, genuinely interesting staff and a wonderful meal. Felt safe and enjoyed every moment. Will definitely be back!
L. J. S.
Great selection of cocktails. I got Sevilla Spritz and totally loved it. They adhered very well woth covid regulations.
C. T.
Chill out and relaxed on a Saturday for brunch. Although at 2pm the rugby started so it got filled with groups of men loudly speaking while there were a few kids playing around and the waitress had the courage to go and tell them not to run and not play around... Not a very kids friendly place but of course it is a pub!
R. C.
Nice pub and good food.
A. P.
3th time. Fantastic
S. B.
Good beer selection. Relaxed atmosphere. Adequate seating.
P. L.
Had a really great Christmas dinner all courses great, even vegiterian dish I was told. Staff good, Xmas pud excellent. Bit expensive on drinks though, even for Kensington.
S.
Good old neighborhood London pub; in between Kensington High Street and Earl's Court stations. Large front garden with umbrellas and heaters makes sitting outside very comfortable even in cold weathers. Great selection of local and imported beers. Food however is strictly ok. Starters are over priced.
J. S.
Good food and beverages! An easy walk from the London hotel, a much longer walk from LA since I'm now retired.
C. S.
Menu is a bit limited but saying that the food we received was tasty and hot. A few of the ales were off so a bit of a limited choice and the ones I tried weren't to my personal taste. Not bad but not great.
S. G.
There’s something to be said about combining amazing customer service and following covid restrictions - it can’t be easy on this great team and yet they deliver. On top of that the food was absolutely fantastic.
J. A.
My drink order was mixed up but quickly resolved. Didn't have to wait long for the food.
D. G.
Went in for a couple of drinks whilst passing.
Outside garden full very buzzy lively atmosphere.
Inside by 5.30pm inside more groups or tourists came in and many of our American friends from across the pond seem to be attract to this pub.
The new Landlady manager Laura was very kind helpful and friendly.
The prices of there wines in my opinion were ridiculously expensice priceu at around £10 for a large glass....the basic wines at around £8??? Go for the beers instead.
The food what i could see on the customers plates looked good and well presented.
Nearest station High st Kensington.
Would I go back again !!.unless they reduce the wine prices to a sensible level No
Keep up the good work.
G. B.
It's a clean pub with good food. Slightly small but has a decent sized outdoor area to the front with canopies and heating. Slghtly expensive but to be expected (given it's Kensington) but cheaper than Mayfair!
M. A.
Really nice pub with great atmosphere. Decent food and a great beer selection. Can get busy for Happy Hour.
O. P.
The Dev is one of Kensington/Earls Court's finest drinking establishments, the place of many a wild night with my favourite workmates - it truly holds a special place in my heart! Also, wonderful staff, a garden where you could spend the whole summer, more than decent food (albeit a tad pricey for pub fare) and a great selection of ales and wines.
S. B.
Nice outdoors area for a drink / food, relaxed atmosphere. If I'm in the area again would visit again.
I. M.
Lovely neighbourhood pub with a large front garden - lots of umbrellas, heaters and seating so sitting outside in cold weather's no problem. I've never eaten here but the menu looked interesting.
T. W.
Great food. Great service, nice atmosphere! Plenty of drink choice! Will be going back again! 👍👍👍👍
F. M.
The place looks nice and the food is good. The personell is very friendly, but it took them more than one hour to serve a veggie burger and the kitchen closed right after I got my burger, so no way to get a dessert. Rather disappointing.
B. J.
Nice pub with outside seating
M. C.
Nice pub withba lovely yard. Friendly and efficient staff.
A. S.
Superbe terrasse and nice craft beers. Unfortunately, the 2 times I went, i had the feeling the waiter didn't want to be there.
There's also lots of cigars smoker on the terrasse.
M. C.
Only popped in Before a meal at Copthorne Tara
n. e.
Lovely place for a few drinks and something to eat.
F. M.
I am a local and I have been here several times. I really enjoy the atmosphere, the food, the service and the lovely outdoor area that The Devonshire offers. Recommended for a couple of drinks or some proper pub food.
N. S.
Vegan burger was so yummy! Can't say no to a Beyond meat burger 😋
S. B.
Fish and chips was gorgeous, friendly staff and really nice cosy but bright pub with nice beer garden. Mates burger looked amazing and he said as much
P. H.
Last week I paid a visit to the Devenshire Arms on a recommendation of a friend. I must say I wasn't disappointed. Walk down Marloes Road and you could hear the pub 200 yards away it was that busy. Being this busy brings tears to your eyes...first thinking about the impending crush to get to the bar but secondly, it brings with it an air that the pub must be OK to be so busy on a Tuesday evening. Yes on both counts.
There's a small seating area to the front which was swamped with people jostling for a spot...I didn't bother and so sat near the front right doorand stayed there all night.
Service from the bar staff was good, a young European (just about OK in terms of welcome), a young girl (very friendly) and a stocky Englishman I think, who was superb.
I decided to stay for food and whilst the menu looked more than a traditional pub menu, I stayed with the traditional chorizo and some other meat, burger. I say some other meat because I can't remember what the other meat was. It was delicious though a touch on the small side which carried across to the entire meal...a bit small.
Overall though, if I'm in that part of London again I'll definitely return. Not pretentious and actually very welcoming. Oh and for us 'tight folk,' for London I didn't feel the need to organise a second mortgage to enjoy an evening out.
A. P.
A neat little pub with a decent selection of beer and delicious food. The service was the best part, very friendly and always keeping up the mood.
j. r.
Good place, good food, had the rib-eye, other than it being more medium rare than medium was OK, perhaps a misunderstanding the different idiums between English and American English. Not sure. Ate it all, loved the chips 🍟 (fries).
J. G.
The Sunday roast beef was fantastic and there was a good selection of ales. The deserts however were very disappointing and overly expensive. There was also a suspicion of frozen profiteroles being served :-(
Stick to the roast and get pud elsewhere :-)
f. c.
Wonderful place with high quality food and beers as well. Ideal for a quite relax moment in a cosy environmrnt. The best in the area...Must try!
d. s.
the 1977 film THE SQUEEZE was filmed here it starred stacy keach, freddie starr and stephen boyd
S. L.
A really great experience at this little gem. I don't often leave reviews but based on the customer service we received, i had to let them know. Well done to you and your team.
J. J.
Value for Money: Standard prices for area.
Alcohol Selection: Wide selection
Atmosphere: Good atmosphere
Beer Garden: Really nice beer garden
Location: Quiet area. Close to tube station.
B. R.
Devonshire Arms became our local whilst visiting London. Great beer garden on the street. Lively atmosphere great food try the Sunday roast.
J. A.
Lovely pub and staff
S. L.
A great little spot in Kensington, delicious roast dinners and a great drink selection, plus a gorgeous little beer garden. Very friendly and helpful staff too, would highly recommend this place!
M. C. (.
This pub is part of the M&B chain. Good selection of beers, free Wi-Fi, good retro music and the food is tasty too. Prices are a bit too much for a PLC with all their buying clout (hence the 4 stars). This M&B 'Castle' pub actually had the 'Spinach & Lentil' burger as advertised (many do not). Staff are friendly. A guarantee of a good time... if slightly expensive one! M&B 'Castle' pubs used to have Hoegaarden... sadly now they do not. BRING BACK THE HOEGAARDEN!
T. T.
Very helpful staff, and very good service
C. W.
So nice to see Andy and the team! Great service! I will be back soon for sure!
l. T.
handy place close to Cromwell hospital. I ordered bangers and mash. they were a little over done. other friends ordered the 3 items for £12 .
K. D.
Great location, good food & drinks
A. D.
A great place to eat if it's not raining! I really enjoyed the haddock. The beef burger also looked nice. But beware - there is a mad goose inside!
A. o.
Food and staff wonderful lovely place.
P. r.
What a great find... If u pass by.. call in... Great staff.. nice beer.. I'm yet to try the food but that's next.. lovely little pub.
S.
What a great pub, excellent services, great food, nice environment/clientele, would recommend.
A. B.
Good beer, good atmosphere... shame about the food though, it really was poor. Deep fried 'roast' potatoes, soggy veg, cremated beef sirloin... the service staff were very apologetic and lovely though so will be back for a pint!
T. L.
great place for drinks and food. seems really popular with the locals as the place is packed on weekends. pity no soccer is being shown but the atmosphere is lively and staff are friendly.
M. F.
One of the better pubs around with very good food, very very spacious inside and outside areas. Super friendly staff.
J. S.
Love this place! Big sunny coutyard, good beer selection and nice upscale pub food. Even has lots of board games to keep the kids happy.
D. K.
Was here with a large group of people. The food was good but not great. The place was super busy. Service was also good but not great. They had hamburgers, fish and chips, etc. I had the fish and chips. They were average.
P. H.
Good pub, good food, great beer and relaxing atmosphere. Weekly pub quiz with cool prizes.

With 3 months left to work on my beach body in time for my trip to Australia, I did what any sensible person would do - I traded in my bikini for a napkin and plastic bib to sample some of London's finest fried chicken from a pub (iknorite??)
I don't normally eat fried chicken, so what do I know? I wasn't sure either, but after eating at D.A., I tried 4-5 other places for fried chicken (none of those greasy £3 chicken shops!) to figure out what makes good fried chicken... and I fully back the claim that D.A. makes some DAMN good fried chicken!
- presentation. 5 pieces of chicken served in these mini fryer baskets, set on a wooden plank with a side of chips and coleslaw. The baskets are awesome b/c the skin stays nice and crispy, and never got soggy
- The batter actually stayed on the chicken, and it wasn't overly greasy. Nicely seasoned, CRISPY batter, nice and juicy meat... ugh, amazing!! When I tried a few other restos for their "amazing" chicken (names omitted but its in Soho), the batter was soggy and clung to the chicken like a loose double chin.
- apple celeriac colesaw is SO GOOD. Its a twist on the standard coleslaw, but I'm not complaining! I'm picky when it comes to coleslaw, mainly b/c its such a simple and tasty side, but I've never been able to find a place in london that can make a basic tasty slaw, until now!!
- Value. I admit it, I'm a cheap Asian. I've also got a massive appetite. For £14, I received 5 pieces of deep fried chicken (I think this was a half chicken, seriously), a side of chips and apple & celeriac coleslaw. And I know I got my money's worth when I could no longer move to reach that last piece of chicken.
Aside from the main dish, I did order mac n cheese for £3, which honestly - is cheap and some of the better mac n cheese I've had in this city. We also ordered calamari for £6, but its forgettable. I've heard great things about their other dishes, but I'm vouching for the chicken. I promise you won't be disappointed.
Live in America - I don't eat fried chicken
Move to London - crave fried chicken
Go figure!

Nice London pub. Good vibes and decor - only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it can get very noisy inside, particularly when they are playing music (turn it down) :)

Been visiting this pub 6 monthly for a few years. Lost some of its atmosphere lately. No meal deals any more.

Ok pub. The garden isn't big enough in the summer, and it draws the after work crowd, but the inside is nice and the food isn't bad.

This is a traditiona publ, however with a Kensington approach, which means good food and beers, at a cost, and fancy people.
