Reviews of Dial Arch
J. K.
I’ve been coming to Dial Arch for years, never got disappointed. Friendly staff and tasty food. Design of interior is amazing and atmosphere is nice too. Nice place to go on a date ;)
J. F.
Our hostess was Sue, she is super friendly, helpful and an absolute hoot!
She is a pleasure around Dial Arch.
The food (Halloumi Fries and Chicken Pie) and cocktails are amazing, fresh and generous.
I would highly recommend coming here especially if Sue attends to us again 😁😁
A definite 5 star place 🥰
A. F.
Went for Sunday lunch and had a very enjoyable meal. This is a large building which seats many guests and was full when we arrived. It is spacious, but can feel a little cramped in places. The staff were very welcoming and the food was great. The service might have been a little quicker, but it was busy, and hey, it's Sunday lunch so there was no real need to rush. Overall I'd recommend this place and would certainly go back for a second helping.
M. H.
What a roast!! I think I couldn’t move afterwards… so stuffed! The pork belly is delicious, the Yorkshire pudding is gigantic, the veggies and roasted carrots are delicious… only negative note the potatoes were a bit dry:) but such a nice pub!
K. K.
Lovely Spacious Pub! Great seating outside!
Huge snd tasty Sunday roasts 🥰
Lovely staff!!
s.
Great place to have food and drinks. Strong management presence and great service. Everyone always smiling.
Food was really tasty. Sunday roast had no fault!!!!!! Highly recommended
S. H.
Great food and fantastic service. Friendly and attentive staff especially Sue who was amazing & spot on with food recommendations. Great date night
A. P.
Lovely staff, great food. Definitely on the more expensive side, but the food is worth it.
E. M.
We have visited the pub today. It was absolutely lovely. Our food was amazing, it was cooked to our requirements and the presentation was great, the customer service was amazing as well. Susan (Sue) who was with us from the time we entered until we left was absolutely fantastic! In general all staff was very friendly! Really great atmosphere. We celebrated my mothers birthday there. Thank you so much for a lovely time at your pub we could also bring our own cake and it was delivered to our table when we were ready. Would definitely recommend this pub to anyone and definitely will be back.
D. B.
It was such a pleasant experience. The drinks was good, service was quick too.
P. E.
Love this place, love the decor of the inside. They have outdoor sitting space too, which is great. Food-wise it wasn't that bad. I enjoyed my pork chop and a glass of Tanqueray.
E.
Nice atomophere, good staff and well kept, but very expensive. Ordered cod and chips and there were omg so many bones. I know it's a fish, I'm eating a fish, but there were loads. For £16+ I don't really want to be pissing about rummaging through bones. It was also super greasy.
Great in the summer - perhaps just avoid the food, petal.
R. O.
We arrived without a reservation on a busy Saturday evening with 10 year old twin boys who were “starving “ but without a reservation….
Fred quickly assessed the deck and made us welcome and the kitchen did the rest.
I never post on these sites as former restauranteur …but Fred deserves the recognition for an outstanding attitude to people who don’t fit the algorithm..
Bravo Fred ❤️
C. P.
Comfortable seats, cozy vibe. Generally super friendly staff but only once i was waiting for my Guiness like nearly half an hour and didnt really get attention from staff. Apart from that day, I always have good time here. Definitely my favorite local pub to hang around!
N. W.
An incredible experience at the Dial Arch for our wedding brunch reception. We were served by Sue and as a party of 14 she was kept extremely busy but did not let this show. She was friendly, efficient and went above and beyond for us. All staff at the Dial Arch were fantastic, Sue exceptionally so. We could not have asked for a better place to host this important day. Food was amazing, table location was amazing, drinks were quick to arrive, all staff smiling and happy. All round 5/5!!
T. t.
Amazing roast!
Great service from Laura. The food was great! The salt beef croquettes were amazing and the roast lamb was tender, succulent and full of flavour! We almost went to the guardhouse but luckily we changed our minds and went to the dial arch. Would definitely recommend 👍🏾
J. M.
I love the dial arch. Great food. And good Guinness. And friendly staff.
J. K.
Good location, pleasant spacious restaurant. Great food, quality and service. I’d only reserve the fifth star for better views and lower prices. Though it was reasonably priced anyway and I’d happily go back for another Sunday roast….
W. O.
Love it here, to sit outside for a drink or for a cosy dinner, the inside is beautiful, too, definitely recommend!
B.
Posh pub of the arsenal.
I've been to the Dial arch since 2015, and 1st visit since 2020.
I like the atmosphere inside, outside is good as well but need to reserve in advance.
Good choice of beer, although it's central London prices.
Always a place I'm happy to visit.
M. Z.
Great and friendly service. Sue was amazing!
Food and beers were great.
K. H.
Had a fantastic lunch with a friend in a great location. Staff were very friendly and the Dial Arch is absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely recommend to anyone. And will definitely be going back at some point.
r. k.
Was served by Sue who was super friendly and made our dining experience so lovely, thank you. Food was really good and look forward to coming back again x
O. B.
Great place. Good atmosphere and drinks. Staff were polite and friendly.
Food was really nice and the pizza I had was great. We sat outside in the large beer garden. Looking forward to coming back in winter as it looks really cosy inside too.
G. A.
Great local pub and always a good atmosphere however way too expensive - £16.50 for fish and chips! Would love to visit more but just cannot justify spending central London prices in zone 4
B. W.
Great place to eat and drink! An oasis in the heart of Woolwich Arsenal where a steak and a jar or two of the black stuff will leave you ready to go again. Definitely recommend The Dial Arch, it's a great wee place!
A. O.
Lovely staff and interiour, delicious food, this is one of the best gastropubs in London, definitely in the area! The kitchen is simply amazing, daily catch fish is to die for, recently we went for their Sunday Roast too and it's glorious, worth making the trek to East London!
D. D.
A gastro pub in the heart of the Woolwich Arsenal serving good food which can washed down with a large selection of Ales, Spirits and non-alcoholic beverages.
V. T.
Great setting.
A little disappointed on vege option for Sunday lunch. Mine was lukewarm. Also wasn't asked if I wanted gravy, assumption was I would. I didnt. Probably would have been better if we had eaten earlier. Decent portions for all no complaints there.
D. B.
Had a lovely meal with drinks. Plenty of seating inside and out. Good fast service, can recommend. Only downside is smoking is allowed outside where people are eating. Should be all smoke free for all diners.
A. A.
Fantastic customer service from Sue - great energy, very friendly and welcoming!
Compliments to the chef for the Snow white and the Artichokes pizza - delicious! Homemade garlic mayo is a hit!
O. D.
Had the pork belly Sunday roast. Was very good. We sat in the pub area and were able to order from the bar. Was good and food arrived quickly.
Y. R.
Great Sunday Roast with fast and friendly service. Although we booked beforehand we were told that we could choose any seat and just order from the bar. Would definitely come back to try other foods.
M. W.
First time here, decor good, food was really nice. Beer selection was ok but I would have expected a more diverse range of craft beer in a pub of this standard. Overall I was impressed.
N. K.
One of the first niche sitting & restaurant in the Woolwich which lift & keeps your spirits high, excellent pizzas as we love it. Delicious burgers that you would 😋indulge nit to mention the service is excellent,no way if I am passing by not sitting & enjoying either drink or something just to chill and be absorb
L.
Great décor whilst engaging with your friends which simply adds to the conversation. The food is very good. Definitely worth another visit.
D. L.
Really lovely place, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Only reason 4 stars is: a customer came in the entrance and took the bottle of sanitiser from the main door. I mentioned it to a staff member, in the 90 mins we were there it wasn't replaced or retrieved from the customers table. Luckily we had our own.
j. b.
An historic armaments building skilfully repurposed as a Pub is atmospheric, comfortable and spacious allowing relative privacy and ‘legroom.’
An ordinarily comprehensive ‘liquor cabinet’ touches most bases and likely to accommodate most tastes.
I did not eat here.
The staff pleasantly professional and proficient.
Recommended✔️
T. Y.
Nice pub in Woolwich Arsenal in an old Ammo factory. Food was good. Had a pint, followed by Cod Fillet burger with side of chunky chips (wife had Veggie soup of the day - also good). Both shared a cheese board afterwards. All v.good. recommend!!
G. M.
Stopped here for lunch after finding on Google. Great place; choice of seating, comfy or dining, relaxed atmosphere, good menu choice, friendly staff, extensive bar. Would definitely recommend.
d. n.
The outdoor service is very lovely. They allow sit-ins. The drinks are varied and the food is taste as well.
H. S.
Great pub, family freidndly atmosphere, cosy in winter and lots of out door seating in summer!
J. W.
Friendly staff and decent pub food.vnot sure the management is as good as it could be but staff makes up for that. So always again.
C. M.
We were served by Fred, he was very friendly and made our experience amazing! Definitely will be visiting again.
S. B.
Amazing atmosphere and great food. Servers are super helpful and polite. Definitely will be back again and again.
S. L.
This used to be the armoury or suchlike at Woolwich Arsenal and is fabulous inside and also has outside seating in pods and open-air
Went there for tea and the service was good
D. H.
Can’t wait for it to open after Covid, good atmosphere great food lovely outdoor seating area, staff always friendly, good all year round always something going on, brilliant when rugby’s on with big screens and always friendly crowd 😎
N. T.
I just love this place. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff members are so polite and friendly. I had the best Spritz Aperol ever. I know it's not a big deal of a cocktail but it just had the right doses.😉
T. G.
Had a lovely evening drinking and eating with my mates here. However Sue was the shining star of the whole evening. Entertaining, funny and all around charming. I'd say come here for her wonderful personality alone but the whole atmosphere is incredible.
A. Q.
Lovely spacious pub with good outdoor seating as well. Food was great.
Y. M.
Lovely pub. Great location especially during the hot weather as it is close to Thames. Plenty of tables inside and out.
M. C.
Lovey pub in historic part of Woolwich. The food was delicous & the staff were friendly.
We will definitely be back!
A. N.
Very nice pub in Royal Arsenal. The burger is excellent and so are the fish and chips. The ploughman's platter starter is decent.
Dog friendly and with very friendly staff. The beers are worth a try and so is their ox cheek eggs Benedict.
Great place for a late night drink in the area and they have wonderful garden booths for the summer. I highly recommend it.
R. C.
Very nice place to drink, amazing food very nice staff
W. B.
Victorian style pub with a modern edge. The area around the pub is large, lush with enough seating. It was a sunny day to start with, good selection of beers/spirits. Food was good, but not exceptional at that price point.
M. A.
Food and cocktails were amazing, me and my family were served by Sue who was a fantastic hostess 💕
T. S.
Lovely place our food was to die for the buffalo chicken wings and garlic mayo was out of this world. The best fish and chips I've had by far our hostess was very helpful and friendly will be back soon.
C. Y.
Spacious and cozy environment. Good for party. Love the food and their services it's amazing.
D. D.
My favourite cafe in South East London. So relaxing, quite and friendly staffs. They Will even show you love. This is the best cafe I have been to in South East London..
Thank you guys..
C. T.
We just had drinks. Good beer. Staff v pleasant. Environment good - clean and well maintained. Food passing our table looked nice.
P. H.
Simple, but tasty, pub food. It’s a large space, containing many comfortable spots to relax either alone, or with friends. I particularly recommend the more formal dining area when you want to enjoy a relaxed conversation over a meal with little background noise. Others may prefer to sink into one of the many armchairs found elsewhere.
I particularly recommend the chicken and ham pie. The bar itself also has a decent selection of gins, although nothing particularly surprising. The staff themselves are generally friendly, however at busy times you may need to raise your voice when ordering at the bar.
R. K.
Slow service but the male waiter with the long hair is amazing
S. B.
First time here and met a friend for Sunday lunch. A great venue with good food and drinks.
D. T.
Beautiful pub, plenty of space inside and out. Visitable whatever the weather and outside table service is a bonus.
Only negatives are lack of darker ales, just lots of light IPA style stuff, not even a London Pride. Also some building work nearby means there is a little bit of fencing by the outside area. But that's just cosmetic. Pub is still great
D. “. S.
The Food and Location was amazing but the Service was very Slow hence only 4 stars.
M. M.
It’s good for food. It’s good for a drink. It’s good for a coffee. Probably nicest pub restaurant in the area.
It’s just a bit pricey.
M. V.
Really great prawns in chilli and lemon sauce!Loved the interior design too!
G. S.
Great pub with an outdoor and indoor seating area. The food and service is excellent. I would recommend this pub, especially if you are looking for something fancy.
P. H.
A Young's pub. Visited during outdoor drinking only. Pre-booked a four person pod, 6 person pods also available. Order preferably by Young's app but table service also available. Good range of beers, wines, spirits etc. Service good, timely and friendly. Definitely will try food when indoor dining opens up. Chesterfield sofas and tables for indoor relaxed atmosphere.
A. J.
Overall a good experience and great vibe from this place. The only problem is the fact that sometimes the staff is almost non-existent as I have had to wait for 20 to 30 min for my order on 3 separate occasions. Otherwise it's a great place, very spacious inside and outside.
E. A.
All in all I think it is a great place to have lunch or a drink. I had the burger and it was delicious.
The only thing I would have loved, mac and cheese on the mains. Maybe soon chef! Thank you!
B. B.
The outdoor service is very good. They allow sit-ins. The drinks are served quickly and the Pizza's were perfect and very tasty.
Was well impressed by Sue the waitress who was perfect and delivered a fantastic service which can not improved on.
Will defo eat there again and again and again.
D. C.
Nice large pub/restaurant with lots of seating. Large drinks range
N. S.
My favourite pub in Woolwich. Provides decent food, great selection of drinks, friendly staff and a lively atmosphere on weekends. During the quiet times it's also a nice place to relax. There's also an outside seating area with heating.
R. O.
Best dessert ever and Sue is amazing!
J. V.
Been here a couple times. Staff are friendly and attentive. The location is great and the venue itself is big with lots of places to hang out with friends.
Can order from an app on your phone. Overall pretty decent.
Only point of improvement would be the addition of more outside heaters.
B. G.
Great place to eat and drink. Dog friendly. So we had a lovely time.
D. S.
Dial Arch was an oasis of calm for weary travellers. Both the food and the service was excellent. We will be back.
M. G.
Went for a birthday meal had the roast chicken, mixed vegetables and roast potatoes, absolute quality, so good I wanted to take a pot of gravy home. Fish and chips were also reported as being great as well as the children's Mac n cheese. Burger you may prefer it cooked more as was medium rare. Food and service very goodm
B. S.
First time I've been there ,the food is fantastic ,the surroundings are beautiful, highly recommended
D. 7.
Cute little tents over the outside tables ..good idea. Not a huge range on the menu but that's understandable. Service was good and swift. Food was just above average 6/10.
M. C.
.Great ambience. Lovely helpful staff. Food nice but overpriced especially the steak.
C. O.
Really good pub in Woolwich. Vibrant atmosphere and very popular in the area.
S. C.
Great place only had drinks but the food looks fabulous will be back 😊🥰
S. W.
On the face of it, this is a fairly bog standard Young's pub, but actually there's a really nice atmosphere, decent beer and really delicious food. You can't have a bad time here.
L. M.
Not pretentious, large space outside, family friendly. Would vote 4/5 for the wrong dish which I ate anyway because can't waste food, but I am not that fussy.
F. N.
Always a warm welcome from raph ,the manager, and Nick ,they always make you feel home.thank you for your hard work.
J. P. R.
Great food, great service, great place, great location! Very easy to order with the app, too.
g. l.
Food was good and drinks especially the gin and tonic is definitely one to try. Its nice casual place for catch up drinks
P. B.
Found this place by luck today whilst cycling along the Thames. All the staff were incredibly helpful and well trained in there new way of working. My wife and I both felt safe and there was plenty of space for everyone. The app was OK to order with. Our food was just what we were looking for and was served quickly.
Good food and drink and great service.
Only suggestion I would like to see tables sanitized between customers.
C. B.
Vegan burger was very tasty, friendly service, warm cosy quiet pub
A. P.
Dial Arch used to be my Local but I stopped using it as the staff were miserable, the service was slow and it was expensive.
The only recompense was the fact that on one occasion a couple of years ago they allowed the two of us to leave our bikes inside by the entrance. It is a huge pub with tons of space and it's used by plenty of cyclists so I thought it made for a good policy.
Yesterday however (Sunday 3pm) as it was busier we were not allowed to leave the bikes inside so opted to eat outside, luckily the weather was good.
Sunday roast beef was 19 pound in Woolwich. Described on the menu as striploin I was expecting thick slices of medium rare beef with some flavoursome marbling running through the cut of the loin. What we got was one small slice of what looked like silver side. It was over cooked and limp.
The rest of my table complained that the food wasn't hot enough, I thought it was okay. The vegetables and Yorkie were good and plentiful.
Chocolate brownie was nice, drinks were good.
So very expensive, service was better, the staff were not exactly warming or friendly, I should have learnt my lesson and kept on cycling.
M. D.
All the coffees we ordered they were tasteless . My 2 stars are for the nice atmosphere outside and also the friendly staff .
A. S.
Mellow pub with tasty vegetarian roast. Enjoy it before it gets too busy when Crossrail station opens next door late 2018.
C. S.
Nice friendly staff, the food we ordered was nice and tasty only little complaint is that when I ordered the sausage roll a second time it was much smaller than when we had it in the morning
T.
Nice place to come and have a drink after work or chill during the day. Staff are extremely friendly and polite have not eaten here as of yet but will definitely go back very soon for both work and play!
B. G.
Just visited this amazing place. The food was great but the service was even better, Sue was amazing with us checking on us and helping us with our ridiculous questions. Definitely check this place out!
C. W.
Excellent beers on offer and food/ atmosphere were great
R. H.
Difficult to fault the interior decor or outside arrangements. There was a choice of two real ales but at a tad over £5 a pint and only acceptance of card payment slightly spoiled the experience for me.
J. A.
Really nice pub, large outside space and huge inside. Great food and drink. Some of the staff are amazing but some were very to the point and less engaged.
M.
Food was great, but a little over priced for me; but then again it is London
C. S.
Lovely bank holiday roast here. Great service, very friendly and efficient staff especially Sue. We will definitely be back!
I. G.
Pricey but excellent and friendly service. Sarah was excellent in serving our work group last Tuesday night. And those pizzas...
J. C.
Spacious, baby changing facility and it is family friendly. Had pizza and it was very good. We'll come back for Sunday roast.
F. B.
At the moment we're in a drinking outside only phase of lockdown easing. The Dial Arch is coping well with this. There is a choice of outdoor tables in shade, sun and under cover.
Orders are taken via the Young's app and drinks delivered to table.
The service was friendly and efficient.
The toilets were clean and in better repair than during the last visit I made pre-pandemic.
M. T.
Average pub, chain. The menu is predictable. The quality is fine. Many would say overpriced but that depends on the mood of the kitchen. It’s not unpleasant, you can have the same food in lots of Youngs pubs. They own the Guardhouse across the grass which makes the local pub offering a bit boring.
M. K.
Lovely surrounds, great deco, fabulous and interesting time, even the g&t tasted much better.
K. W.
The best roast of south east london. A really nice venue, although service was a bit slow. I'm defo returning!
G. H.
Ridiculously expensive. Central London prices in Zone 4. It's a beautiful, warm, welcoming pub, and somewhere you genuinely want to spend time - but not with the prices that they charge. Really quite outlandish.
j. h.
Nice pub, lovley areas/rooms. Nice staff
K. D.
Great company and great service, especially from Vicky and Sue at Dial Arch! Highly recommend! The atmosphere was amazing and the food was unreal ❤️❤️❤️😍😍
A. A.
Had a fantastic evening with my brothers. Sue the barman was amazing, really friendly and excellent service! See you next time Sue!
P. B.
The staff were extremely welcoming on our arrival, the restaurant was very clean, the service we received as a whole was good and the food was immaculate.
The only downside to our experience was we were completely unaware our waiter apparently quit and walked out mid shift!
We alongside other visitors were left unattended, which none of the staff walking by picked up for a good half hour or so.
This meant we were left without our orders, condiments or even cutlery for the customers next to us.
I appreciate it was an unfortunate situation for the establishment but the manager should have realised the consequences and have been proactive in handling the situation, especially due to the restaurants quieter numbers created by the current virus.
B. M.
Beautiful pub, nice vibe, nice food, friendly staff, great outdoor drinking area, sometimes they even have people going round taking drink orders and bringing them to you so you dont even need to go to the bar, This is a pub like no other ive seen, cheers.x
R. W.
Great food, reasonably priced. Good atmosphere.
C. O.
It was a fun day out for my 4 year old. She love going up and down the slide. It kept her occupied and she had lots of fun.
J. T.
I love the food here! The meat platter is my favourite and I cannot wait to get back to this place. I absolutely love that this place is also dog friendly. I bought my chihuahua with me to dinner and the customer service at Dial Arch was outstanding, really made me and my dog feel welcomed.
S. B.
Due to Covid regulations we weren't allowed inside . Though the seating outside was very adequate and very spacious. The staff very welcoming and the food absolutely gorgeous . Very reasonably priced.
J. P.
The food here is very good, some of the drinks are expensive. The environment in pleasant and unhurried, the staff helpful.
Sunday lunch, the gammon hock share was great, the Yorkshire's voluminous, as a non meat eater seeing the fish of the day was in bacon broth I asked for it without but the trout I expected was salmon when served! Never mind, it was lovely! Veg options available. Table service or order at the bar. Pleasant outside area when warm enough.
A. T.
A great pint. Lovely staff. Great post rehearsal/gig pubbeth
J. S.
Far from cheap but consistently good I would say. I have been here many times and the quality of the food and friendliness of staff is the same. Quiz nights are fun too. Only things I would say is a turn off for me is that the seating areas are rather crammed together especially with pets (which are allowed here) or when music is playing and that the menus can be limited. There was also one occasion when I was there and the police needed to be called as someone kicked off and we ended up being locked inside for our own safety. Of course this wasn't nice but not the owners fault and handled well. Otherwise a nice place to go.
K. K.
Great staff great food and nice place to stop on the way up to London on the river boat
D. P.
Lovely building in the royal arsenal. The drinks app was difficult to use and service was slow. We didn't eat but the portions of food coming out were excellent
L. B.
Nice, modern atmosphere and great food!
A. G.
Busy and could do with more staff. Food was great but over all was a little pricy.
G. 3.
We hired the large 'Pantry' room for a corporate event and it was great. The staff were helpful and tentative, the food was fantastic and the day ran smoothly thanks to this brilliant venue. No request was too big and they were happy for us to rearrange furniture and turn the music down/off. Thanks again!
L. N.
Good venue, nice beer, food ok too.
S. D.
Nice bar friendly service over priced for woolwich unless you got money too burn or want to get away from the normal people who are on benefits or low wage 6pound for a pint pay less In leaden Hall Market up town . But if you earn 50k or over perfect
S. W.
I love the atmosphere here. Staff are happy. Customers are happy. Food is great! It is well run. Will be back soon.
I. F.
Place is amazing... atmosphere, big terrace, beer, food... Mmm food, i ordered pizza it starts with sweet chilli chicken(see foto) ,and i expected a sweet chili marinate chicken)) but i got pizza with a cooked chicken and sweet chili sauce around the pizza. Anyway was DELICIOUS)
R. C.
I'm sad I never got to meet cheesy louisey but Sue was great and made all the food happen!!!! Xx
Z. H.
Friendly staff great service. Outside eating area clean and tidy
A. T.
Young's have always had good pubs and the DA is one of their best. Well trained and friendly staff overseen by management who know what they are doing. Great ales and good choice of lagers. Pleasant mix of young locals and a smattering of tourists. Lovely space to enjoy decent pub classics. Prices are not a bargain but fair given the exemplary service.
A. M.
Covid restrictions have been put in place well. We asked if they could put a heater on as it was 7pm, but they didn't have any gas!! Very disappointing and cold ! Food was lovely, drinks rather expensive.
L. M.
Nice pub. Good location. The food for me was not the best. I wanted to enjoy the Sunday roast so much but felt let down.
R. C.
I found the Dial Arch pub had very up market atmosphere which could be seen throughout. The high ceilings and decor made for an interesting business/social/family setting.
Originally visited the pub for a Gumtree sale, We sat and chatted with the lovely lady and sampled from their sides and drinks menu. They served a brand of Ginger Beer I’ve never tried before and it was actually quite good, sharp but balanced.
The pub was quite busy at the time with almost all the tables occupied, But not overcrowded. The staff were pleasant, Though some had that disinterested hipster bar air about their service. I’m used to this having gone to a fair few new bars, But given this was also a place you could take kids and family, I found it a little off putting.
That aside, The atmosphere and location and menu was great, I would recommended and if I’m ever in Arsenal again would visit again.
R. M.
Nice outside space (some, but not all, tables were under umbrellas and there were some special pods) and good table service with ordering by app. Lovely place to spend an afternoon.
B. N.
the trout and soup I had was nice but my apple crumble was very soggy but really nice atmospherr

Hit and miss.
We had a roast dinner. The chicken was dry, the yorkshire pudding oily, but the veg was lovely. The food came at record pace after ordering, far before our drinks which we ordered at the same time.
They're not very well set up for small children besides having a highchair. Only big kid portions and no tableware appropriate for little ones. They do have a childrens menu but we had to ask for it, it came with a near empty pot of crayon fragments.
On arrival and almost throughout the service was poor. Long waits to be seen and they only came when we asked for service - we would have been there all night otherwise. On the booking I requested a highchair which wasn't at the table so I had to ask for it, then they delivered it to an inappropriate part of the table and the staff watched my 7 month pregnant self struggle to move it to an appropriate spot whilst holding a toddler (my husband was parking the car). However, at the end of the meal there appeared to be a shift change and suddenly we had two friendly and attentive staff who were very kind and accommodating to us when we asked if we could serve our own birthday cake which we'd brought for my son's birthday.

Great atmosphere and a good mix of people added in to a setting that stands as its own a plac I would recommend
K. D.
Customer service was excellent. Ordering on the app (needs ALOT of work) took my payment but left us sitting for a meal and drinks that after half an hour was never going to come. No record of order except on my payment app. Staff stepped in and not only sorted it ASAP but went above and beyond. Never experienced that anywhere in the UK. That's how you do it. Thanks.

One of my favourite places in Woolwich. It's pretty much got everything you want. Cool looking inside and outside. The Large outside seating area is perfect for the summer. It's family friendly, dog friendly, solo friendly. Group friendly. It's a bar it's a restaurant it's a cafe. Seating options are plentiful from booths, small tables, big tables, sofas etc. All in all it has great atmosphere, and is a must visit if around the area
A. P.
Enjoyed the feel of this bar, very relaxed. Had a nice meal with friends. Was disappointed I couldn't have the beer I requested, but these things happen and there's enough choice behind the bar to keep you covered. The dining area was maybe a little squashed, but not to the point it's uncomfortable.
S. G.
One of the better places to eat in Woolwich.
I am updating this review a year later (June 2021). I have just ordered the Turkish poached eggs for breakfast. It is pretty terrible. The sauce seemed to be nothing more than paprika powder stirred into mayonnaise. The poached eggs were hard. I will spend the rest of the day trying to get the taste of this culinary disaster out of my mouth.
S. L.
Food is a little pricey but utterly worth it. Staff are great and really personable. Great mix of typical lagers and interesting ales. Lovely interior style and mix of comfy seating, as well as exterior tables right next to a patch of grass in a quiet area. Definitely recommend.
D. D.
It is nice place. Terrace is nice and big. Indoor is big and good. Food and drinks are ok.
M. Š.
Very good nice staff amazing food just little pricey
J. H.
Food here has much improved over the years, a solid local pub.
X. O.
Great location, great pub and very friendly staff.
V. S.
Lovely English Breakfast, loved it. Will be comming back!
T. S.
Excellent food and service from Sue. Allergens taken seriously will deffo visit again 😍

Top place very well located and spacious

We had two dinners on two consecutive days here while on a short holiday in London. Booking was very easy with the online service and the reception and service were fast and efficient. On our second dinner we were attended by the sweet Denise, who was always kind and attentive to all our needs. She was very good.
And Dana was the loveliest ever waitress with our 5-year-old child! She spoke Italian to him to involve him in our conversations (we're from Italy) and,at the end of the evening, she let him speak endlessly about his project of becoming a great scientist one day:we literally had to separate him from her to let her work;-)
Good quality food, and very clean and efficient kitchen:you can see the chefs working as it opens onto the restaurant room.
The place is very big and architecurally beautiful. Definitely worth a visit.
S. F.
Always enjoy a visit to the dial arch, food great and friendly staff, beers good too
d. w.
Lovely food, staff and location.
J.
Always a winner! Great food, amazing selection of drinks and attentive and friendly staff. During the summer months their outside area is where you want to be finding yourself (from time to time there's even live music). During the winter, there is nothing better than a glass of red wine in front of their fire place whilst playing a few board games (which they stock). Great for couples, families with small children and they even welcome dogs! Highly recommended.
M. W.
Pulsating exciting atmospheric throbbing but full of tossers who think they're living the new dream in SE London. But are afraid to cross the road to the real Woolwich. A cull is needed.
V. R.
Amazing as always! Thank you guys for your great work!
A. A.
Absolutely stunning pub near the riverside in Woolwich. The interior has a very rustic feel. I went with my friends to watch England vs Sweden during the World Cup as they had it on a big screen. The atmosphere was absolutely electric. I've also previously been to eat at the place and the food is good quality.
D. B.
Great lunch, great service and welcome from very friendly staff - and a very pretty and quiet outside area. Highly highly recommended.
S. A.
Found this place while walking around. Really nice place, great staff members. Didn't have food as it wasn't halal but that didn't stop me from buying deserts. Really nice quite place, nice little park next to it. Definitely will be coming back here when im next in the area
R. W.
Loved the Sunday roast. It's a spacious venue with plenty of room for each guest.
A. A.
Right place for a drink a food. Awesome for family and friends.
S. I.
The food is really good, nice beer selection and lovely outside place if Is a sunny day
M. L.
Great service, quality atmosphere dog friendly family pub
S. R.
Well done all at the Dial Arch for giving us our pub back. Seamless service, great atmosphere, lovely evening with friends in our 'pod'
B. J.
Really good pub with huge outdoor seating area, all of which is covered
o.
Very nice pub with a great atmosphere. Food is good and well priced. Nice place to spend an evening
H. L.
Came for brunch and it was lovely! Everything was cooked to perfection, staff were really friendly and the whole building has been renovated beautifully. Definitely recommend for brunch (cant comment on other meals as not had them here)
M. N.
Excellent provision for outdoor drinking including tables with individual shelters over them.
C. K.
Tasty food, vegan options friendly staff
Y.
This place is just full of great vibes. It's full of the locals around the area and everyone there is very friendly. You see the locals' dogs chilling with them and you can see how the staff is very caring even of the dogs. They also have board games available which can be very fun with a group of friends. Their food is also great!
B. J.
Had a great service. I ordered the sharer for (2) which was the Whole baby back rack of ribs, sticky bbq wings, fries, house slaw...the ribs were amazing not keen on the chicken wings and the sweet potatoes fries amazing. I would have given 5 stars but I wanted a desert but they run out.
M. P.
5 Star Rating review for Dial Arch. We had our office Christmas party here and we all really enjoyed the atmosphere and setting. It was very busy and our designated server was very pleasant, however forgetting our orders on a couple of occasions did disappoint. Highly recommended anyhow so thank you Dial Arch.
J. U.
Toward the higher end price wise (averaging around £10-12 for main dish) but the food is fantastic with a good varied menu. The pub itself is very nice, large with a rustic feel to it. Good outdoor area too.
A. R.
Tasty food, good service, cozy place, don’t forget to book in advance 😉
K. V.
The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great. You can either chill out in the pub or dine in the restaurant. The outdoors is great in the summer too. Family friendly without spoiling the fun for everyone else. The service could be better at times but it really depends on who is serving you. It can be a bit pricey but I think it's worth it. Love the place!
N. R.
Great service, homely, amazing food and portions. Drinks on tap. Inside and outside dining. Easily accessible. Recommend and would definitely attend again
M. F.
Great place. Easy access. Wonderful atmosphere weather you want to chat with a friend, have a meal or a coffee or bring your laptop and work. Baby friendly, they have toys available, easy access for prams and spacious. They have a baby changing toilet separate from the adults toilets, well cleaned and tidy.
R. P.
Great atmosphere, but the food and service is below par. Steak is awful and well overpriced. Chips are fried in the same oil as fish. When the food is an hour late, the management is rude and defensive. In short, I wouldn't eat here again, but for a drink it's nice.
C. M.
Fantastic huge interior with different nooks to explore. Great selection of beer and the place is well run so you're not left waiting for drinks or food for long. Recommended. A diamond in the rough.
E. W.
Modern pub, typical pub menu, food was quick and nice. Only downside was when we were there a wedding and a function was on so it was too loud and busy for pub regulars to properly enjoy the venue. The staff was friendly and did well to cope
M. A.
Good indoor and outdoor venue for food and drinks. Very relaxed and spacious; with board games to choose from for a game night. I enjoy the beef / fried chicken burgers and pizzas predominantly. A good mixed and diverse crowd in a nice area.
V. C.
What a great venue. It's like SE London's best kept secret. The outdoor area is wonderful and the interior is very intriguing with so much to discover. I really enjoyed having drinks outside under the Jumbrella. We will definitely be back.
C. B.
The fish was too greasy and one staff member was rather miserable. The kitchen made an error with my order (which is fine as these things happen) and the waitress brought back the wrong thing again, hugged when asked for the correct item and never returned with it. We had to ask someone else instead - who pleasantly got it for us without any issues.
R. Y.
Good vegan options, although the Plant Burger was a bit pricey at £15.50. Also, my friend who had the regular burger got more fries!
H.
Tasty food, rustic vibes, lucky that this is right at our doorstep in the heart of Woolwich :)
[edited review below]
I put my rating down to 4 stars due to the price hike some meals are now around £15-20 which is ridiculous and spirit mixers can be around £8 if you get a G&T... it's not even a cocktail and costs more than Central London Prices... really sad they have done this I know covid has caused lots of issues with hospitality business but please remember we are still in Woolwich not Kensington.
M. D.
Good customer service, delicious burger 🍔 and plenty of outdoor seating. Need to park in Cannon Street car park as in middle of pedestrianised area.
L. V. Z.
Nice change to the other side of Woolwich. A good pub, but sometimes you got to wait too long, but that's due to the architecture of the pub. It's quite big and maybe it could use another Barkeeper.
t. p.
Had the 'cod' and triple fried chips here and I don't think it was cod, more likely ling, it keeps repeating on me. Burger was bloody in the middle (not how I like it and a licence to serve it this way is necessary although I didn't see one). I wouldn't come again for food although the pizza was enjoyed by others. They laid on a face painter for the day to give free face painting and she was BRILLIANT. beers were expensive which is the norm for London (make sure to get them topped up when the head settles). Clean, pleasant staff.
M. H.
Went last night to the dial arch. Food was good but I found it silly that you had to order alcoholic drinks through the app on your phone and menus aren’t provided. I tried to connect to the WiFi several files and it wasn’t working which delayed things.
D. M.
After a walk around in Woolwich Arsenal I choose to have my way back home to my nephews place and suddenly we found this little woasis at very late nigh hours ,open, so we decided to have a quick beer before hit the way back home. It looks like a nice, quiet and warm place with nice people at the bar and nice interior design. It was almost at the closing time of the day so we couldt stay longer ( not that we don't wanted ) . The only thing I want to see about this place is , how is it going to be at the peak time with lots of people inside and outside , cause they have also a nice place outside in case you need more oxygen. So for the reasons I mentioned in the upper paragraph I or we will be back. Curiosity killed the cat but I don't think this is the case.
S. M. Q.
Great staff and good atmosphere. I only really had the coffee which wasn't awful but not great considering they used a machine to produce it. But if I am being honest I would still have it again, so couldn't of been that bad.
T. V.
This Saturday it is very popular, all tables are booked. We had very tasty food and fantastic deserts. Nice cider and other drinks. Very satisfied.
A. T.
Great meeting place with lots of outside seating
Food ok. Pizzas good
D. M.
Beautiful building. Good food, beer and service. Bit pricey but it is London!
2.
Not a bad pub, but lacking something. Needs more soul, but decent clientele and you always feel safe there. Busy Thursday and Friday nights and can get packed out during the summer months. Overall, one of the better pubs in Woolwich, but now starting to face some stiff competition as the town becomes swiftly nicer and more gentrified.
M.
On a whim we rode for Thamesmead to The Dial Arch ... never been here before and was very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful layout and very friendly staff ! Enjoyed our drinks sitting outdoors people watching but were so tempted to sit inside and make use of the gorgeous interior. Can’t wait to come back and eat here - even grabbed a Xmas menu ! If we didn’t have our bikes we would definitely have stopped longer and ordered food - highly recommended this place , what a gem we’ve found !
s. D.
Just had the Roast Chicken Sunday lunch, which was delicious.
I would of taken a picture but I was too busy eating!!
11 of us turned up and were seated early, had brilliant service... all that remains now is desert (crumble & custard).
C. P.
This is a consolidated review after multiple visits. This is definitely our local. The food is always brilliant. the staff are friendly and the venue is really great. It's always clean, it's warm and welcoming and its a short walk from home. what more do you need?
A. S.
Fantastically spacious pub with good service and Young's pub quality beers and food. Can't wait to enjoy next spring/summer!
S. J.
Fashionable Young's pub in Woolwich Arsenal complex. Interesting historic building - former munitions workshops. Lots of outside seating next to a grassed area - very nice on a summer's evening. Food available - comprehensive menu. The pizzas are especially good.
s. P.
Well this is a nice place unlike the Guardhouse which I went to before hand, it is nice clean and a great range of chairs and tables outside for these hot days.
The people here are also a lot more happier and seem to more helpful then the ones at the Guardhouse which do not seem to care much about there place of work.
J.
Grear service, friendly and welcoming.
Excellent Special of the Day Mussels with bacon, leek and cream with garlic mayo. Lovely atmosphere and as said the food is deliciously prepared.
Highly recommended.
Please make the dirty burger with egg avocado chorizo with a crispy chicken fillet part of the main menu..PLEASE..ITS AMAZING..seriously...please
G. P.
Its one of my favourite place in London , South East. I keep showing the place off to friends and visitors. The quality is very obvious. I love everything about the place, the outdoor sitting, the architectures, the food. Remember you can jump on the ferry from central London in no time at all.
M. A.
This place has become my Sunday evening pleasure. Staff friendly and polite. Lovely atmosphere. Menu a little on the pricey side, however, the food is very good.
M. E.
Great dining experience.
It’s family friendly and the food is delicious; we visited it twice during our visit. It does have a few vegetarian options but it would be amazing to have more.
Overall great vibe.
K. D.
Really lovely hipster pub in an old gun factory. Great selection of beers, although it is pricey - £4 for an orange juice with lemonade. The food is top class pub grub, and you pay the price for it.
You can really feel the gentrification of Woolwich here, it's a totally different world inside - everyone is either reading a book or typing away on a Macbook. By the station you've got all the street drinkers and people lurking about, huge contrast.
D. C.
Large pub and restaurant in a newly developed area. The drinks were quite expensive compared to other pubs in the area. The staff were friendly but queues for drinks are quite long. We didn't get a chance to try the food as there was a wait, so I would recommend reserving a table if you are planning to eat. Outside there is a nice seating area with good views.
V. N.
Great place for food and drinks. Perfect atmosphere for a relaxed ambience. Only problem is the service can be a little slow when you're sat in a corner and staff can't see you. The menu hasn't changed for a very long time but I went this evening and it was good to see new items from the Summer Menu. Other than that its definitely worth checking out.
A. L.
Great pub with a good selection of food.
Ever changing selection of beers, draught, bottles and cans.
Spacious with plenty of seating, both tables and sofas /armchairs.
Very good outside area as well for when the weather allows it (some of it is also covered).
L. S.
Best pub in the world! Dogs, booze, and a cup of coffee. Wether it's summer or winter popping in for a coffee or coming in for their doggy dress up events and quiz nights there's always something great going on in there.
E. B.
Great place for drinking, especially good in the summer as there is a wide open green space outside where you can sit, and where kids can run around. I don't know of any other pub in the area that has a similar green open space with absolutely no cars driving past it, so by far the most family friendly pub in Woolwich.
Just make sure to eat somewhere else as food is expensive and the quality of it is nothing special. I'd say this chain pub suffers from that same problem that most chains suffer from, high staff turnover in the kitchen and no single chef who stays long enough to steer things up and assure the long-term quality. If you do have to eat I'd recommend the pizza, the Sunday roast is just too small.
The decor is great and reflects the heritage of the Arsenal, I've never had any complaints regarding the staff, they've been chatty and friendly those times I did speak to them.
To sum it up, this is an unbeatable pub when the weather is nice, bring the whole family and have a pint sitting in the sun whilst the kids play, if all tables are taken, simply sit on the green!
T. M.
Only popped in here as the Hop Stuff Tap Room was not open. Had a couple of good beers Wimbledon Copper Leaf Ale and Sharps Atlantic Pale both of which were perfectly pleasant and a pulled pork bap which despite the negative review on here, i found quite tasty! Being mid Thursday afternoon the place was incredibly quiet - no more than 10 customers in total. Fairly pricey by Woolwich standards but the i guess that helps keep out the less desirables!
Update a year on:
Enjoyed an impromptu visit here today. Nice cask ale, Proper Job & Bombardier. Food took ages to arrive (for which I was given a free pint!) on a quiet Wednesday lunchtime, but when it did it was well worth waiting for. Beautifully cooked half chicken with garlic and lemon, aioli and red wine gravy plus perfect chips. Extremely pricey for the area, but (just about) worth it for the quality. Had a nice chat with deputy manager, Alex. Youngs need to bear in mind that despite the gentrification of the Artillery area Woolwich remains one of the most down at heel parts of London.
D. C.
It was very organised we went to a 40th party there the staff were brilliant friendly and very helpful. We had a wonderful evening and the food was yummy. Will definitely go again on our next visit to our son.
A. W.
Food is excellent and fresh. Good place for family and great customer services from Sue.
J. H. T.
Atmosphere, drink, food... absolutely delightful
L. B.
A different sort of pub with a mix of styles creating a lovely ambient. Very clean and well maintained. Perfect for a lunch meeting but also cool for a drink with your mates.
J. S.
Great beer and food. The Heineken takes like they have a pipe straight from the Amsterdam factory and a bargain at just over £5 a pint. Food was tasty and well priced too. Next time I'm in Woolwich, this will be my first stop!
k. c. o.
Lovely venue, awesome bar and kitchen staff, food might be on the pricey side but decent.
The ambience is definitely it's biggest sell. Perfect choice for a lazy Saturday/Sunday evening
N. t.
I love this place but drinks are overpriced. That's why I don't go often, but every time I've been there it was a pleasant experience. The bar staff is always friendly and they know their stuff. Food is ok too, nothing superb but as for a pub it's just good. Cosy sofas and a fire in the winter. The only decent pub in Woolwich.
C. R.
It's a very nice pub with a huge terrace outside. They have a really fascinating range of bitters and ales. The food is freshly prepared and reasonably priced. Very friendly staff which is always interested in the well-being of the customers.
S. F.
Great place to meet friends, relax and play games. Lovely large outdoor space, great bar and menu. Food can be a little hit and miss especially when busy but the Sunday roasts are great. Generally a very good vibe.
R. L.
Lovely cosy place for a few drinks and food is not bad either. Very efficient table service and very friendly staff.
J. H.
Been going there on and off for four years. Quite pricey compared to some pubs, but a good location and decent food albeit a little over priced for what it is. Staff friendly. Good seating and atmosphere. Family friendly.
B. K.
One of the best pubs I have been to in London. The interior, exterior, selection of food and drink, customer service are a role model for other pubs. Obviously there are always things to improve on, but amongst other pubs it’s a No1 in the area. Make sure you try the mulled cider and wine.
R. C.
Pleasant, spacious gastropub with a selection of decent draught ales and lagers and skilfully prepared (if slightly pricey) food. Example prices: about £14 for the hamburger and chips, £18-£23 for a traditional roast dinner.
A good place to take friends or family for a relaxed Sunday lunch.
A. G.
Great decor and most acceptable prices in our area - that's what we've been searching for the last 5 months. We always book a table via their website as it's the easiest way. In the summer, their terrace is one of the most desired places to hang out in the neighbourhood but perhaps they have to expand it, as the tables are not enough for everybody.
P. B.
Lovely building, great character. Staff good and the chips are delicious! It is a bit pricey though. But it's most certainly worth a visit!
K. J.
It used to be better, the customer service was much better when I’ve visited before. I don’t enjoy my visits there as much anymore but it’s still one of the better options in the area
J. P.
Great range of beers, especially for the ale drinkers. The food in the rustic warehouse decored restaurant is fantastic.
They have live music and regular entertainment and quiz nights.
The sumptuous and plush leather sofas and arm chairs are a real chillout zone for me.
This place can get very busy in the summer especially with the outside terrace area.
The Woolwich area is a place devoid of any real quality restaurants and this place fills that gap.
R. s.
Good food.
Good for dogs.
B. v.
Fast wifi and gorgeous quirky interior. Some staff are pleasant, but there is one barmaid who seems to go out of her way to be rude. Brown hair, sometimes wears red lipstick, average height - just incredibly unpleasant, practically scowling at customers. Really puts you off going to the bar. Horrible service
D. L.
Whenever I am near Woolwich I always try to get lunch here. The place itself is really lovely - inside and out. It feels like you are in a trendy area even though you are in the middle of Woolwich! I agree that prices are high here but it is totally worth it for the quality and atmosphere of this relaxed pub.
H. G.
Very slow service even though place was not busy at all. We've waited for our drinks for 20 minutes, staff chatting round the corner.
Overall mediocre-pricey food where they gave us burnt fries. Ordered extra blue cheese which they've forgot to add to our order.
Would not go back for another time, poor customer service, staff not well prepared.
K. B.
Great interior and so much potential, but the staff are just so disinterested. It’s not unusual to stand at the empty bar for several minutes waiting to be served while staff just wander around. I would love to give it a higher rating.
J. I.
I like this pub. I've been coming here since it has opened. A girl I fancied lived around the corner from here. I used to see her around here all the time, at least a couple of times a week, but for the past year or so, I haven't seen her. Recently I bumped into one of her mates I used to chat to and I asked about her. She informed me that the girl in question has moved away from Woolwich, and now lives in Shadwell. Shame...
Oh yeah, I recommend the Sunday Roasts, and the fish & chips.
E. A.
Love this place. Great food. Great staff. Great NYE events. Shame that they promise to out a game on and decide not to when you've arrange to meet all your mates there. Otherwise I can't fault the place
k. b.
Friendly staff really like this place nice seating area
J. K.
Have found a Wonderful Youngs Pub of which i done my Training with at there Old Brewery in Wandsworth.
The Beer and Food is of course high Quality and they also have a policy of allowing Dogs,Which my little Pug enjoys.
Great atmosphere and great staff make a great Experience,Keep up the good Work.
A. R.
A good pub in Royal Arsenal with a wide range of beer on tap. Steeped in history being one of the remaining buildings from the Royal Artillery munitions factory that supplied many of the bombs used by Great Britain in the 2 World Wars. The pub has a comfortable engaging ambience with a popular outdoor area out front.
G. W.
One of Woolwich's newer pubs, it gives great food and drink (which are only a little on the pricey side). I really like how it serves Meantime beer - supporting Greenwich businesses. A very nice place to sit and relax on a sunny Sunday.
C. M.
Great pub but my golly gosh those prices will make your eyes water ...
R. W.
Remortgage your home or go for pre drinks in the wetherspoons first. Really nice place though. I'm not a Arsenal football club fan but if I was I would say this is as much a pilgrimage site as the old Highbury, being this is the birth place of the original Arsenal football club.
J. B.
Spacious, relaxed and cosy, the Dial Arch is a dog-friendly pub with a great ambience in a lovely location. Just skip the food.
The menu is uninspired and the availability is poor: they run out of stock quickly, and when food does arrive, the quality is pretty mediocre despite the hefty pricetag.
The Sunday roasts, for example, are impressive enough to look at, but much less so to eat: dry, husky Yorkshires with hard, bitter roast veg and portions that just can't justify the asking price.
The steak, meanwhile, is perhaps the poorest choice of the bunch: £20 for an overcooked sirloin with a handful of chips and a couple of oven-baked onion rings. You can do much better at home for about half that price.
The Dial Arch is a nice enough pub, but let it stick to its strengths.
M. N.
Spacious (plenty of seating in and outside).
Friendly staff (got more cartons of apple juice from somwhere).
Tvs showing sports.
Dogs allowed.
Pub combines old and new (modern fire place vs old building).
s. t.
Nice Sunday roast. It's one of my favourites. You can never go wrong here. You wish it was always summer. But for winters too they got good arrangements outside.
S. N.
Well this pub has spaces set for dining and standing tables for drinks. Food looked ok and staff were friendly enough, however the spaces seem to jar rather than flow maybe because of the dark interior.
R. A. (.
Love the food here and the ambiance, it's a little more expensive but that keeps the riff raff out so suits me. Sunday roasts are AMAZING
B. A.
Always seems to be a nice atmosphere in here. A good choice of foods and tasty.
F. H.
Delicious food and very good service.
V.
Is possible to order by an app on your phone. Very great !
J. S.
Went for a sunday lunch a few weeks ago and tried the mixed roast and three of the desserts between me and my friends. Absolutely stunning food, quick service and great venue. Couldn't complain!
C. D.
Nice, not a great beer selection and menu is quite limited

Denisa’s service was excellent, really friendly and professional, and ensured we had a great time! The food was delicious and the place has a terrific atmosphere! Will definitely visit again soon
I. W.
Great pub in royal arsenal development. Good food and good choice of drinks. Good industrial looking decor. Good place to visit.
L. V. E. Y.
Woolwich Arsenal and this pub is such a wonderful and stylish place. Full of really brilliant people. And they always show every arsenal game. Very stylish Young's pub.
W. T.
Surprisingly nice pub. Been here several times. Good Burger, me. Goats cheese salad, colleague, good also. Neck Oil on Tap

Very nice place and staff. Hungarian guy was very helpful and friendly with us. Huge terrace outside and private and quiet area inside. Food is good but overpriced.

Went in for brunch and despite having to wait 50 minutes for our food it was tasty and not too unreasonable in price. The pub was nicely decorated and laid out well.
T. E.
Friendly staff and a great outdoor setting....5 min from the Thames which is a great walk in the evening
L. G.
Went for lunch here.considering COVID restrictions it was well organised. Nice and spacious, good ambience. Good service not bad menu.
M. S.
Food was tasty, pub itself was warm and friendly but unfortunately the service is far too slow. Its quite easy to be waiting half an hour for something as small as sandwich and fries when the pub is nearly empty.
G. K.
Nice and cosy place. Food's fresh and really tasty. Really helpful staff greeting customers with a smile and friendly attitude. I can recommend it for a Sunday dinner or a day out with friends.

Big pub, decent selection of beer and food. Not a lot of character but it's got a ton of seating space inside and outside. Always good for a quick pint or a bite to eat. Nothing fancy.
D. B.
The food is great, they have a good selection of beer and it has a really great atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone.
A. K.
Good food clean place (toilets could use improving though in terms of cleanliness!) Service can also be a bit hit and miss but it has a good atmosphere, location and is family friendly
M. H.
Nice place to eat typical fatty English food or to have a drink with friends, but AVOID if you have any dietary requirements. No gluten free meals and no fat-free meals and only one vegetarian option but wasn't vegan.
E. K.
Probably the nicest place you'll find in Woolwich. Right by the Woolwich arsenal barracks, sitting besides the Thames. The interior feels warm and welcoming and has decent outdoor seating as well. Prices are higher in comparison to other local options but you're essentially paying for the nicer atmosphere.

Great place, nice for a couple of pints/cocktails and to catch up with friends. Great atmosphere the architecture of the place is gorgeous. The food, great breakfast, good hamburgers and pub food, avoid the risotto.
L. R.
Bartender Callum was extremely helpful and super friendly!! Had a great time! Can also help yourself to free water at any time and dogs allowed in the pub
K. H.
Nice atmosphere and staff, a bit pricey
J. A.
Friendly staff, a wide range of interesting ales, fresh tasting lager (ie. no dirty lines!), good quality food and a unique, antiquitous (probably not a word) atmosphere!
The Dial Arch is easily the best pub that I've seen in Woolwich. With several different seating areas (including a generously sized outdoor terrace) that vary significantly in mood, so that you can drink/dine in the environment of your choice!
The only downside is that all of this comes at a price: It's got to be the most expensive pub in the area but, for the above reasons, it's worth it....but let's just say that you probably won't see me there in the week preceding pay day!

Nice atmosphere. Good food. Relaxing place ....

Love Love the Decor and the atmosphere, Amazing Customer Service

The best thing about Woolwich
Great food and great selection of beers
Plenty of outdoor seating area
T. W.
Good selection of beers and excellent food - comfortably the best pub in the area on both counts. Nice indoor layout and plenty of outdoor seating for when the sun shines.
C. M.
A trendy pub which offers good food and drinks. Staff are friendly enough and is family friendly as well as trendy. Would visit again if I was in the area and wanted somewhere to eat and drink for a few hours.
a. v.
Friendly pub and the original from the three now on offer. Great range of pints to choose from, staff are really friendly, dogs are welcome in the pub and the outdoor seating area is massive.
M.
Nice pub food too expensive though
L. V. E. Y.
Woolwich Arsenal and this pub is such a wonderful and stylish place. Full of really brilliant people. And they always show every arsenal game. Very stylish Young's pub.
M. P.
A friendly atmosphere it was Christmas day so it was busy.everyone was friendly and enjoying the day.we had a cocktail and enjoyed the music. The pub is in a great spot near the river in the armories
S. W.
Very nice restaurant. Over price the meals considering where the area is.
D. C.
A really nice pub but very expensive. If you are in the Woolwich area, fancy a pint away from the riff raff, and you don't mind paying for it, then I would recommend it.
R. M.
Very nice place to go for a drink and a bite
E. F.
Food is fair to average but extremly slow, on one occasion I had too remind them that we were still waiting. Staff not very friendly or helpfull not very bike friendly a shame since i its a fantastic setting.
S. F.
I called in here with a group of wet, cold cyclists on a rainy November Sunday and was happy to find plenty of space and a warm fire to relax for lunch. Well-kept Young's ales as well as some microbrews. Good pub food. This appears to be the aspirational venue in Woolwich Arsenal.
A. B.
Nice ambiance and simple but super food.
K. C.
First visit to this impressive pub today. Food and drink a little on the pricey side (for Woolwich) but it has a good vibe and I would definitely come again.
P. P.
Lovely relaxed Sunday lunch - spacious and comfortable gastro pub with an interesting and characterful interior. Particularly good for Sunday roast.
B. K.
A large pub it has an eating place outside . Large areas in side large tables for family and unusual menu. Dont go on a Monday because if its a busy weekend they dont have all the dishes
M. S.
A lovely pub close to Woolwich waterfront. Nice food and interior design. They also have many board games to entertain you while there and nice outdoor space. Worth coming round.
J. D.
Very good food. Service is 'ok'. Bit shocked about £4+ for a pint of coke! food is good though and it's a pleasant environment.
R. M.
Very good looking pub. Very nice styled place, with many beers and wines, also with testy cuisine,
A lot of space, in side and out side of pub.
Е. П.
Delicious food and drinks,I recommend this place
A. C.
Dog friendly pub which is lovely for the area. Great drinks menu and atmosphere, but the food menu really needs a few more options to satisfy all.
M. v. B.
I've been to the Dial Arch a number of times, Very good food even if you have to wait a little while to be served it is very tasty. On the price side plan for 50 pounds a head with wine.
C. C.
Very nice place and staff. Denisa was very helpful and friendly with us. Huge terrace outside and private and quiet area inside. Food was very tasty
L. K.
Food was ok, but for the price of the fish and chips I expected better - mushy peas tasted salted and not mushy enough, fish was also reeeeeeeeeally oily. But baby friendly and staff nice.
o.
Excellent as always, have never had a disappointing meal from here, just had one of the best burgers ive ever had. Great food, beautiful building and amazing atmosphere
A. P.
Probably the best escape in London to enjoy a beer (or anything else) on a sunny day...enjoy lazing on the Royal Arsenal gardens. It even has a wood fired stone oven..leading to a unique experience over a romantic evening :)
M. D.
Warm and comfortable. Pet friendly. The food is good
P. M.
Good food and good selection of various types of drinks, a bit pricey.staff are all good.
Also noticed a bad smell a bit like sewage from an area near the bar
C. O.
Excellent and exciting food, Sunday lunch is one of the best menu's to pick from, the service is fast friendly and from sitting down we had are food and drinks with 10 minutes.
E. 6.
Best pub!! Had there dinner, breakfast, Sunday roast. Good quality of products. Great value for money, nice atmosphere
A. Š.
Nice, lovely place. Good cocktails
S. C. (.
Great booze, nice staff, good choice of seating from outside benches to tables to comfy sofas. Only let down is the often quite dry food.
K. W.
Nice, spacious venue with a large outdoor seating area for the summer months. Cosy inside in winter, nooks and crannies abound for large and small groups.
V. O.
I enjoyed the best customer service from the staff each time I visit. They are cool and down to earth. The food coupled with the service make dial Arch a perfect place to eat.
R. B.
A cozy place to have a beer and eat something: my experience was somewhat messy for a last minute order but everyone was very helpful and they sorted out the issue in no time.
A pleasant experience.
V. D.
A large outdoor area and the drinks were awesome
A. C.
Good for largish gatherings, bit loud but great seating outside. Nice friendly atmosphere. The pizza they serve is top notch.
S. M.
Lovely, warm atmosphere. Proper rustic feel. Food is pricey but worth it, had a burger that was delicious
E. B.
Nice place and nice employees embracing your arrival with a smile. Nice collection of beers meeting different tastes as well as long drinks.
K. A.
Delicious food and friendly atmosphere. I tried the pan fried chicken with mushrooms and potatoes. I highly recommend it as it is unique.
D. D.
Good covid precautions in place as you'd expect from a Youngs pub, food was basic but great.
A. T.
Very cosy atmosphere, beautifully decorated and spacious place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good selection of drinks, but the food is mediocre and quite pricey for such quality.
M. H.
What an amazing space - food delicious. Beautiful outdoor lounging area. Staff 5 out of 5 both times we visited! Love this restaurant.
J. A. H.
These photos were taken nearby view from Dial Arch. Outdoor Seatings are available. This place is closer to the Tesco Metro and Marks and Spencer’s stores.
The newly build cross rail upcoming Elizabeth line station’s entrance opens out on to Dial Arch Square, a green space, flanked with a series of Grade I and II listed buildings.
Exiting location for Summer Enjoyment
J. L.
First time visit, excellent food and facilities. Will absolutely visit again if in the area. Highly recommend a visit here
S. H.
Great place to go of an evening in Woolwich. Friendly atmosphere, nice place, big selection of drinks and board games if you fancy them!
J. B.
Amazing staff. Always a warm welcome.
Edit.
Had our wedding reception here and the staff went above and beyond our expectations.
We had the best day ever.
A. W.
Expect to pay central London prices but they have a decent selection of beers and other alcoholic drinks including local Hop Stuff and Meantime beers. The Sunday dinners are also good.
K. H.
Lovely bar bit expensive though and menu could be improved but good service and atmosphere!
M. B.
Nice atmosphere, staff OK...but £4.60 for a pint of Doom Bar, someone's having' a larf! Young's Bitter is £3.60 in Exeter!
R. R.
Lovely food and atmosphere!! Will be back!
T. R.
Food great and service Ok, atmosphere pleasant. Wasn't very busy but felt like the service could have been better. Will visit again.
K. C.
Fab food. Great service. Friendly helpful staff. Good ambiance. Pleasant surroundings. Good selection of drinks.
B. M.
I already went two times, both was ok. Second one didn't have the dish I choose a bit disappointed but was really crowded.
D. L.
This is a great place to hang out with a group of friends and it’s also very family friendly. Can’t necessarily recommend the food but you can’t go wrong with an order of chips and ketchup.
A. B.
Great environment inside and out. Outside is really good for these warm summer nights and inside you've got good food at decent prices. Also nice selection of drinks.
M.
A public house inside what was the Royal Arsenal munitions factory in the second world war, a historical site, using one of the Arsenals original buildings, adjacent to the fire power museum. A well layed out bar and restaurant with outdoor seating on one side, bar menu is also available all day, food prices are a bit high alone with the drinks, not a problem for the business lunch or romantic night out, limited parking none by the Dial arch as it's a pedestrian area so safe for the kids and drunk adults, well worth a visit, if only for the history
C. C.
This place is a breath of fresh air in the area. However staff are slow and menu items sell out. Quiz night and pizzas are great. Good chill out pub
S. C.
Nice pub in Woolwich that serves local ale along with other choice of beer and a lot more. There is no river view but still the place is good.
B. B.
Character full pub set in a historical Royal Arsenal building. Decent outdoor seating too. Food enjoyable.
G. Q.
Great modern pub in woolwich. Comfy seats and friendly staff. Big venue so perfect for large groups.
J. K.
Great location, decent range of drinks - haven't tried the food yet but look amazing

Very nice pub, bit pricy but nice
N. A.
Great place. Feels homely. But really busy on the weekends.
Also change the grand da chair that totally sink to the bottom please.
S. D.
Great Food, plenty of room.
A. M.
Great food and drinks selection. Noisy customers nearby meant we had to move tables.
S. G.
Lovely pub. Great atmosphere just found it strange they came around with plastic glasses at the end so they could get the glasses washed.
L.
Cozy, chilled vibe on a Sunday evening. Lots of snug nooks to nestle in to. Tables for larger groups. Food price ££/£££.
A. U. G.
Pricey BUT very nice.
