I've been here for dinner and/or cocktails and this place never disappoints! It's spacious interior is well decorated with a modern feel. There's a good selection of cocktails, mocktails and low alcohol drinks, as well as wines, beers and spirits. Good choice of food and to high standards. Staff are friendly and there is a good vibe throughout.

This is a great place for entertaining your friends and family. The staff are spot on and very helpful and the food is great and the environment is just right . A lot of fun ...though I have taken a star off here purely because I felt that the music was too loud!..I'm all for background and audible music ...my feeling was that at times one has to struggle what your company are saying .Note to the management- try putting the music down from '9' to maybe a '7' ?

A really lovely experience at Drake & Morgan! I visited with some friends on a Sunday afternoon and everything was perfect. Staff was kind and quickly accommodated us despite not reserving in advance. We ordered a few drinks, padron peppers, squid and sweets fries. Food arrived quickly and was nice and crunchy! 😊👌🏻 We left happy! We'll definitely be back. Recommended!

It's very OK. The food was honestly sub-par. The seabass flavoring was bland, the noodle salad was small in size (needs more noodles) and the veggie burger was meh. The burger itself has a slice of tomato, tiny bit of vegan mayo and lettuce. That's it. Nothing made it special just a bland peice of faux meat between a bun. Very boring burger splashed hot sauce all over it for any flavor. The drink selection was really good though! Great coffees, good drink selection and even cbd infusions with a good selection of low or non alcoholic drinks. The menu prices are very good/fair, but the portion sizes and flavours need to improve. This place has a lot of potential if they get the food right as the atmosphere, location and design is really nice. Service was OK, server could have been much more involved/friendlier, and was clearly upselling which didn't come naturally. All in all, the experience was a solid 3 from all 4 of us who ate here. Things to improve: change the chef or train them on flavoring, and better training on floor staff/servers. On the road to higher marks if they improve these things 😀

Fantastic atmosphere, not expensive - great staff and food. Feels very upmarket, however we went with kids and dogs! It's the kind of place you could take your best customers to for lunch / dinner, have a work meeting with beers, or go with the kids at weekends - but feel like you are in Sketch at half the price. There aren't many places that give that vibe. I guess the Coal Drops Yard is the "destination location" in the area, but in my view this place offers more to eat, drink or chill. Well worth a visit

This gastro pub style restaurant is in a great location and large enough to seat big groups if you need it. The food is fine, but it doesn’t compete with the other restaurants around the area. Live music and service were great, but our group’s whole experience was left with a bad last impression when the woman who we assume was the front of house manager rudely told us to leave bang on the 2 hour mark because she had to clean down the table. There are better ways of moving people on. That’s now our lasting memory of this place and we agreed we wouldn’t go back.

Big drink selection although the cocktail (Long Island Ice Tea) felt a bit watered down. Very friendly staff although they could do with some more people to cover the high demand.

I went with a group of six people and really enjoyed our time there. Both the decor and the ambiance were nice and the tables were comfortable. The drinks felt London prices (which is to be expected in this part of London). Together with the fact that it is at a convenient location, this place is a good choice for either afterwork drinks or a short get together with friends! The things I didn't like were: 1. The nibbles were not very 'finger friendly' and despite ordering both a sharing platter and sweet potato fries we were given four sets of cutlery instead of six. 2. The music volume does fluctuate throughout the night.

Went for brunch with a friend and the place was very beautiful and spacious. Very classy decoration and there was also a very well known British Actor sat next to us. Had the skillet beef hash, it was ok. The chicken amd waffle was nicer but has a bit of sweetness too. They had a special list of cocktails for the month, ordered one of them but after 10min they came back to say they have no more tequila and asked they can replace it with another spirit instead.

I really like this place. The music is good and you get to relax and enjoy being out and catching up with friends. You can order your drinks and food via a QR code which is really nice and everyone can pay for there own so no need to split the bill at the end. I did have to wait a while for my cocktails tho. I would recommend keeping an eye on the time you ordered as time goods by so fast. I didn't realise I was waiting 45 mins for one of my drinks. The staff are friendly and they are often going around so if you need anything you can get their attention.

There was only a few in the group who liked it whilst others actually felt hungry when they left. But a nice evening nonetheless. Would go back for drinks but probably not to eat.

Big venue so booking is not usually too tricky. Food is a bit hit and miss. Had a good steak but pudding was very disappointing. Staff very friendly but always seem a bit overwhelmed with the number of orders they’re dealing with so frequent chase ups are needed to get your food and drink.

This was my first visit to D&M and for sure not the last one. The restaurant is cozy, beautifulI and the ambience it`s excellent! Lovely place - service was great (Sienna was very helpful and lovely) - the prawns tacos were delicious - the ricotta was very tasty but I personally think it needs something like bread - the buttermilk chicken with waffles was delightful! The combination with the chillies is excellent! - the hummingbird cocktail is sweet and the feather is a nice touch! - you might have to book for the restaurant area because it looks busy!

REVIEW - 7/10 ⭐️ Unfortunately my drink was very weak and I barely tasted any gin. Slight disappointment for me as I’m a huge G&T fan 😭 Both starters were amazing 👌 I probably made a mistake with my Green Bowl as it was just plain greens and quinoa with tiny bit of dressing so for me really bland (but healthy surely!). I tried a bit from Lia’s Duck Salad and it was super delicious and a very generous portion! . So overall a good experience, I would gladly come back and try a different main. . Great COVID measures, outdoor sitting and very spacious indoor area.

I had a very nice meal in particular the duck salad, however my friend asked for her steak to be well done and it was served rare so sent it back and it came back about 20 minutes later just the same so it went back. Eventually she was asked if she would like something else. After they got the drinks wrong too we complained further and did not pay for our meal. The place itself is nice although music a bit loud for easy conversation. I gave this 3 stars as my food was good but overall improvements need to be made

Arrived on an busy evening but the front staff offer us straight away to sit at the bar which is actually really nice. At the end our waiter got a free table and offered it to us. He was super lovely and helpful about vegan and gluten free options. Food was ok. The wild rice dish was completely bland to be honest and have not eaten it.

Was here for cocktails only, in the evening (on a Saturday), so just judging the drinks. The service downstairs was average, and the cocktails were not as nice as their descriptions: They mainly just tasted of one ingredient, and the presentation was lackluster. The only exception was the Pornstar Martini, which I really liked (It wasn't sweet, and really strongly tasted of passion fruit)! I also like that the music wasn't too loud to have a conversation.

From almost zero to 5 stars. First time at Drake & Morgan. My wife and I were greeted at the door by a very friendly member of staff. We were shown to our seats and the waitress came over straight away and asked if we would like any water. We ordered are food only to be told that two of are options had run out. Steak,chips and salad arrived for my wife and the sea bass for myself, however no sign of the new potatoes. The waitress who brought our food over asked if everything was OK. I told her my new potatoes hadn't arrived. 10 minutes later still no potatoes, I asked one of the staff at the kitchen. The next thing a member of the kitchen team came over and apologised and asked if I would like the chips instead. The chips arrived and the member of staff came over again and kept apologising to us. He then said he would take 50% off our bill and can have free deserts. The gentleman name was James and he must of been the kitchen manager or something like that. He made sure we had drinks throughout our stay. James you are a credit to Drake & Morgan. We will be back because of you. I also would like to thank our waiter who was also very polite. Thank you James and also your food was very nice.

Good place for group dinner as lots of space...Chicken wings were AMAZING but the the Calamari was bland. The pulled pork could be better. Cocktails tasted lovely but took about 20 mins to arrive. Had the Thai Beef salad and half of it was cucumber, which wasn’t on the menu as an ingredient. Also the beef is hidden at the bottom of the salad and bring your microscope because you’ll need it to find the tiny portion of beef that is served. Service was friendly but not particularly attentive.

I had a buttermilk pancake with pecan and banana and the fresh mint tea. The pancake was nice but the still was too sweet for me 😅the sirop was on the pancake already( that spoil it a little) I though they will give you the sirop on the side. I advice you to ask for the sirop to side. The decor was warm and comfortable. I loved the fact they gave you the bill inside a book. Thats a actual very good idea. I came to Drake & Morgan at Kings Cross on Tuesday 10th December 2019 to interview US Rapper Vinny Virgo. I was trying to kick start my health before the new year comes in to play so I ordered a Green tea and it was lovely, was actually nice to have the teapot and have another cup. I like Drake & Morgan because even though it is quite lively it has great character and you can always find a quiet spot. The front of house staff were very attentive and polite. We were able to conduct our interview and then went to the bar to take a photo. I must say my health kick went right out the window when the bar tenders gave us some shots! They had really great energy and good banter I actually didn't want to leave! The only issue I had was no service on my phone downstairs and I couldn't connect to the wifi so it was a minor inconvenience when I was trying to communicate with PR but I have legs and only had to run up the stairs to reconnect. - This is the only reason I wasn't able to give 5 stars. Aside from that I had a great time and was able to successfully interview Vinny Virgo. Thank you!

SERVICE: I booked the private dining room for my birthday - from the initial booking to the end of the night the staff were amazing! Really made my birthday celebration easy to plan and perfect on the night :) Thanks to Chiara and Dovile for assisting with the planning. Special thanks to Yoanny who served us on the night - He ensured that everything ran smoothly keeping me informed of when food and drink would be served and was very attentive if we wanted to order anything else. FOOD AND DRINK: Food was great - we pre-ordered from a set menu (due to the size of the group). Everyone enjoyed their meals (starter, mains, sides and dessert). Drink selection was good as well! OVERALL: Happy with everything and would definitely recommend this place!

The late night coffee, blankets and calming aroma on the outside (kings cross) just allows you to forget about the world.The staff are amazing and they won't kick you out or make it awkward. Although for me, the negroni was served with too much crushed ice as opposed to bigger ice cubes, so was slightly watery when I went to take a sip. This doesn't take away from my rating as everything else was brilliant. On the whole, very nice place to be! Would be happy to go again.

We were asked to order on our phones which flummoxed the three of us. We gamely had a go, but found it too difficult and were about to go elsewhere when the server came out and gave us proper menus. Not sure whether phone ordering is a covid-related introduction or a permanent feature. It is certainly off-putting for those of us who prefer to speak to a human being when ordering and not to have to grapple with technology. The food was fine but nothing spectacular. Service slow but the servers were very pleasant. Also a relaxed and pleasant ambience sitting outside.

A really lovely venue with a beautiful ambience although the music i found was slightly too loud. Service was prompt and the server was friendly. Food was of good quality and quantity. We ordered 4 different dishes and every one was of a good standard My only gripe was that when asked for the location of the disabled toilet, i was told it was at the bottom of aprox 25 stairs!!!! Super happy to see that it is a pet friendly venue! Bravo!

This was my first visit to Drake & Morgan and it won’t be my last. The cocktails and food are good value for price, plus with outdoor seating it provides a safer environment to eat and relax. Our waiter, Yoanny was especially helpful despite being the only staff serving in our section. He was very friendly and cheerful, which makes a big difference when eating at a restaurant. Also, Omari did an exceptional job making our cocktails. My only criticism is to have more staff serving during busy times. However my friend and I had a great time.

I have visited Drake and Morgan many times on a week day but never over the weekend. I booked for 10 people to celebrate a milestone birthday on Saturday. We waited a short while to be seated which was fine. They were very welcoming and attentive and the menu accommodated all dietary requirements. They had a DJ down stairs although the music could be heard throughout the restaurant. This added to the atmosphere (of course only if it is to your taste of course!!). There was a steady flow of people but not too much so we didn't feel we had to rush our meal. Really lovely evening enjoyed by all. Thank you ftom us all to all the staff particularly the person that served our table....Oh and for showing my son how to open a bottle of champagne.

The food was amazing; I had poached eggs and avocado and my husband had the buttermilk chicken and waffles which I will be having next time for sure. Only downfall on our 1st experience was we was sat between the bar where you can be seated and a walk way where the dirty plates and cutlery is taken back to the kitchen. A waitress was carrying a load back to the kitchen and a knife fell off the plate onto my back. The waitress said sorry am I okay whist still trying to juggle the pile she had, I would have expected for her to take what she had to the kitchen and then come back to see if I was actually okay but didn't seem that concerned or maybe embarrassed that she had just dropped a knife on my back.

Wonderful spacious venue, it's huge. Food is great, fresh and tasty. They cater to everyone, vegan, gluten-free as well as grilled options from land air and sea. I tried Cod Tacos which were interesting and tasty. I called about an hour in advance on Sunday to book a table and they were helpful and accomodating. Service is good and they gave us sufficient space and were courteous. I will definitely visit this place again when I have a mixed crowd of people with varied dietary requirements.

I’ve been a couple times and I’ve had a overall good experience. First time I went my steak was a bit over cooked. Staff took it back with no fuss and brought me out a new one. Also planned my work Christmas dinner here, there was abit of a mess up as somebody was unable to attend. We were able to rectify the issue in the end. Ultimately the staff are quite helpful, food is okay and the atmosphere is great. 3 stars because the food isn’t amazing but it’s okay.

He was very pleasant, offered his recommendations and come to check on us just enough (not too much) which was lovely! The ambience of the place was really warm and friendly with comfortable furnishings and interesting decor. The only thing I'd say was that the starter we had was slightly too small for the price, however the chicken wings were to die for! Overall a place I'd like to revisit and enjoy a celebration there one day... Big thanks to our waiter and staff for our perfect lunch! I come here for meetings and drinks, they have great service from the bar, plugs, great seating areas where no-one bothers you and decent lunch time menu. No fuss, sit where you will and I love to serve myself, so they let you take your drink and sit downstairs. Unlike others who can get fussing with seating. Coffee is good too. Just one thing, the wi-fi isn't great so sadly not a 5 star but hopefully it will get better and I can amend my rating.

My worries about the previous reviews were unfounded. We had a thoroughly good time on Saturday afternoon. Half our party was running late and holding the table was no problem. Bar staff were friendly and made a great G&T and Bloody Mary. The waiter was attentive and well informed. We were checked on regularly for refills. The main and side dishes were cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Would go again (but need to save up!)

A spacious, large restaurant/bar ideal for after work drinks, but not too much more. The downstairs is large and has plenty of seating. The bar sits in the centre as a square, so there's lots of room round it as well, meaning service is normally fairly quick. The staff are pleasant. The atmosphere is average, but it's not that lively.

I asked about having a croissant (having walked past a table with about 20 on display as I entered) to be told by the waitress that she would check and see. It was an annoying experience. I won't be rushing back here but wouldn't be hugely opposed either. I might give it a second chance, but there's so much else to offer nearby.

Then my friend ordered the tuna and I the steak sandwich. Come here for a nice decent meal, might not blow your socks off but it feels reliable! It’s also a huge place so probably great for big groups, and the clientele is a bit suity / corporate but you are in the middle of Kings Cross!

If you are going there for food, be aware that the gluten-free items on their menu are not actually gluten free. Their bread supplier does not have a license to provide GF bread and it might be contaminated with gluten. Even though when we booked we specified that there was a coeliac in the party, no attempt was made to contact us to tell us in the fortnight before hand that there might be an issue providing the items advertised on the menu. We also specified in the reservation that we would require a highchair and one was not provided. They are running a volume business and don't seem to put much effort into individuated customer service.

I have had a few nice informal lunches and meet ups with family at Drake and Morgan .The food,ambience and staff are always good but today they surpassed themselves. I went for a coffee while looking after my four month old grandson for the first time and needed to take him to do a nappy change. A member of staff, Tommy I think , carried the pram downstairs , helped me fasten baby back in when he was screaming and I'd lost the plot a bit.He then carried the pram back up the stairs and was lovely and encouraging and calmed me down when I had a wobble.Thank youvery much!

Good food, roast potatoes were amazing; and good selection of drinks and cocktails. We did not book and they were able to squeeze is in for Sunday lunch at 1.45, however service was very very slow.

Looks nice....but we were seated in a dark corner. Are table was booked for 6.30pm, we were seated at 7pm and was served our meals at almost 8pm. It took them 20 minutes to bring me my drink and ages to bring our food, even though we had previously ordered. We defo will not be in a hurry to go back

Great restaurant, cafe, bar close to Kings Cross. Excellent service and fantastic choice for a quality lunch/brunch or evening meal if you're traveling in/out of the station or have meetings nearby. Prices are very reasonable and excellent choice. The space inside and out is generous, booking is advisable but I've walked-in twice and been fine.

I love D&M for the great selection of cocktails and a menue that keeps bringing you back for more. The resturant area is designed for smart casual and the open kitchen makes it feel like home. If you are by yourself grab a tablr by the bar for dinner and catch up with the chefs. They look like they are up for it... Also you get to get the first hand smells of the wonderful food on offer. Downstairs is where you get to drink and party with friend. The relaxed layout really lends itself for good group chats and when the dj starts playing it turns into a party. Try it for your next night out... You won't regret.

I live around the corner from here and usually come in for coffees/teas/wine/cocktails after lunch on the weekends. Loads of different areas to choose from to chill and relax. Quite expensive but I think the ambience matches the price point. Usually the mixologists are really knowledgable and can make you up something off-menu, however, recently we went in and asked for a cocktail recommendation and the guy behind the bar wasn’t able to help and just told us to look at the menu (really not helpful). He also haphazardly poured my wine into the measuring device and into my glass, spilling about a fifth of it onto the bar without even blinking an eye. It’s a shame that a negative experience becomes so emphasised, especially when the service is usually great!
