Nice pub with a great selection of old school games, consoles such as Sega Mega Drive, PlayStation, Guitar Hero etc. They also have board games and card games. All free to play. The male toilets were very smelly to be honest and very close to the bar area.

This place is amzing. It is your everyday bar with a twist. The have table games and video games and night quiz!! It's a must is you are a bit of a geek!! Service is very friendly, they don't have a kitchen but you can bring food from other place. Really good atmosphere 👌. Love it!!

It is an amazing place. One of my most favourite places to visit whether it'd be after a hard day or to go somewhere for fun and drinks. Their compliment of board and video games paired with a comfortable drinking environment just eases the soul for a wonderful time. Just popped in when I was searching for a local watering hole that doesn't have loud music pumping out or karaoke. I was pleasantly surprised by the mellow friendly atmosphere. The bar staff were immediately attentive and friendly. I will definitely return and tell my local friends.

Really fun place with a nice atmosphere. The games are great (both digital and physical) and the vibes are lush. Lots of good people both behind and in front of the bar. Drinks are not cheap but hey, we are in London. Also they don't charge to use the games so it balances.

In an age of dying arcades, this was a place that I was overjoyed to call 'my local'. This humble pub has lots of video (and card/board/tabletop!) games playable while you sit back and enjoy a fine selection of drinks with friends, or single player! Their cocktails are also deliciously varied and fit the theme of the bar brilliantly. Make sure to check their calendar for a range of events they host regularly throughout the year. The only potential issue you may have is if you're looking for a good pub to have a Sunday roast in, as Escape Bar (or whatever they're calling themselves by the time you're reading this) has no kitchen and doesn't do food. To make up for this, though, the establishment is perfectly fine with you bringing outside food into the pub.

Came for a birthday with a couple friends and had an amazing time. From the consoles set up and ready to go, to the boardgames waiting for you to explore them, a truly great night for anyone! Also thank you to the bartender Gok and the lady who was also on shift cause you guys rocked!

Quite a cosy and spacious pub, has a lot of offering of board games so for the boardgames enthusiast this would be a good place on the east side of London. Drinks cannot really fault they have a decent enough selection so no complaints here.

The staff and security here are angels - I was walking my dog nearby when a drunk stranger tried to get me to talk to him and follow him. I kept walking and went into Escape to meet up with friends. A few minutes later the guy followed me in and came all the way at the back where my group was sitting. He kept trying to talk to us and touch my dog who wasn't aggressive but definitely uncomfortable, but my friend told the bar staff about the situation. Quickly, the security lady came to calmly distract and de-escalate everything while the bar staff opened a side door to escort him out quickly. It's the safest I've ever felt in a bar and they went above and beyond to help in an upsetting situation. Other than that one experience, every visit is amazing and this is my local place to go! I take all my friends and I've had many a date night on their consoles, it's especially fun when they run Rock Band Karaoke nights.The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is enjoyable, and the drinks are quirky yet affordable. Whether I'm bringing my own dog or meeting someone else's, it's a respectful place with outdoor seating if you need a breather or quieter atmosphere.

Full of video games and table games. There is not kitchen so no food prepared on site but you are allowed to order from other restaurants. Member of staff most of the time look bored and not friendly. Children allowed only before 8 pm.

Excellent venue to hang out with friends. Bar staff are friendly and there's plenty of games. They have two lots of popular game, e.g. scrabble. Last orders for drinks is about 1 hour before closing, but they allowed me to get some tap water in a glass that I already had. Wrap up your board game around 15 mins before closing. There are games for all group sizes. We played Scrawl that was lacking in whiteboard pens, but they had some behind the counter. I had a fantastic time with my 7 other friends and cannot wait to return.

Such a fun and friendly vibe! This hidden gem in Stratford is the place to go if you're looking for a fun night out with friends, playing video or board games. Staff is super friendly, and if you're on your own you can always find someone happy to join you for a Mario Kart race or a quick FIFA match.

One just simply cannot ignore the warm vibe when entering this pub. Everywhere you look you see smiley faces, beers up, gaming screens, and cheering sounds. Gone under a number of rebrands over the past few years, but still an exceptional pub, the latest incarnation has more tables so has more of a pubby feel, but plenty of board and video game options of you wish!

The drinks are top notch, the games are great fun and the atmosphere is brilliant. Genuinely cannot find anywhere else like this in London, with a unique atmosphere and staff. Speaking of which, the manager, Nathan, is lovely to speak to and friendly to no end. A bar I would highly recommend to anyone who loves video games and great drinks. Should you be more of a cards player or a board game lover, this bar has it too. Play some Smash whilst getting smashed. Great fun!

Stumbled upon this bar with my colleagues whilst desperately trying to find a place still open after a late shift. I'm so glad we did, because the bar is a hidden treasure. Escape Bar Stratford is a cozy bar with great staff. There are a range of boardgames you can choose from to play. It also has arcade games and gaming consoles where you can play tekken, rocket league, fifa and other games. I would recommend going to Escape Bar in Stratford with a bunch of friends and choose a boardgame to play. Just make sure to arrive early as it can get very busy.

Friendly staff and a great atmosphere, was able to have a table booked for my group and the selection of drinks and cocktails on offer was great. My group was a mixture of board game enthusiasts and video gamers so there was something for everyone. Staff are happy for people to bring their own games as long as they are made aware and to bring in pizza etc. Great place for bringing a group and meeting other people. The only issue is with the bathrooms which could use some quality improvement, but it was standard for a Saturday night. All in all a great bar. Will be returning.

Tonight was a sad day for me, however the amazing team of the Escape Bar, once again, reminded me that inclusion exist. They managed to create a space (the Escape Bar) where people are truly welcome despite nationality, form, shape, taste in food, and shade palette. A wonderful community of friendly humans. This place is also a very cool bar, excellent beer selection, spectacular cocktails, even the soft drinks are delicious. Video games, board games, cabaret, and karaoke night with guitar heroes (full band!). You are also welcome to bring your own food or order in. Highly, highly recommend, 10 stars out of 5!

Love this place. We discovered it through the Dusk App and go there regularly now. They have loads of board games, video games, and even a few arcades. Drinks aren't cheap, but you don't have to pay to play the games as in some other board game bars. They don't serve food, but they let you bring your own!

This place is an absolute gem, tucked away in the outskirts of Stratford it is an escape from life and the hustle and bustle. Dogs welcome too and this jus adds to the friendly atmosphere of the pub. This is a great venue. If you are a fan of board games or video games this is the best place for you. There's a wide selection of board games to choose and unlike many places in London you dont have to pay for a table. There's a great range and ive not played a game with any missing parts. As video games go theres single and multiplayer games on various consoles. Nice selection of drinks and the bar does themed game cocktails which is a really nice touch. There isn't food here but there are snacks. Maybe food in the future? Deffinately check this place out.

This pub specialises in board games, video gaming and role playing gaming and creates a safe and friendly environment for people interested in playing these games. The pub has a large beer garden, function room and (normally) clean toilets. They do not serve food, but do allow food from outside to be eaten. There are no real ales on handpump but a decent selection of craft beers on tap goes some way in making up for this. In addition, there is a good cocktail menu. The management and staff at this pub understand that the unique commodity pubs and bars sell is hospitality. As such all the bar staff I've dealt with at this pub have been very friendly and helpful. That said they do not suffer fools gladly, drunken louts aren't served and are swiftly ejected. When I visit it's for the RP Haven RPG gaming nights, which attract a diverse and friendly crowd of regulars, which I imagine is a similar atmosphere at other times. Visit this pub for a relaxed drink with friends or to play the various games on offer, it's a real gem in Stratford.

The gaming element of this pub is second to none. For while I got into a habit of stopping here for 1 drink on the way home from work whilst completing a few levels on mortal kombat until I finished story mode. They've got guitar hero.. jenga.. scrabble... pretty much any sort of game you can think of. The cocktail menu has gamer themed names, they host ga(y)mer meet ups aswell as quiz nights and the like.
