Reviews of Flowers of the Forest

🚇 Lambeth North
🍺 £4.90 Heineken
❤️ The great thing I love about traversing across London pubs, is the variety and character you find from pub to pub. The Flowers of the Forest was a great find and I loved visiting here.
.
I visited here with a three pals on a crawl around Lambeth and this was pub number three of a six pub jaunt. The pub sits on a corner plot on busy Westminster Bridge Road and is a five minute walk from Lambeth North tube. This pub has a very large open bar area with stools around the bar which were occupied by stalwart locals and a mixture of poser and regular tables spread across the floor space. For us there was the added bonus of a pool table where we proceeded with a game of killer which I lost with aplomb. The decor here is a bit unique with bare brick walls with bright green and black panels around the walls and bar. Out the back there is a good size patio beer garden with plenty of tables and there is also plenty of benches out the front. The overwhelming feeling you get from this boozer is that it is a locals boozer first and foremost and we were made to feel very welcome, having the craic with a few lads around the pool table
.
The Flowers of the Forest takes me back to the early nineties and my heyday of going to the pub. There are no frills or gimmicks here, just good old fashioned community spirit where you can get involved if you want or just be part of the crowd. I can’t speak highly enough of this boozer, long live The Flowers of the Forest.

A simple neighborhood boozer, just off At George's Circus (A mile from everywhere). Good beer and good people! There is a pool table for those feeling athletic, also a delightful courtyard + tables on the pavement. Enjoy

First of all.. the name. Absolutely amazing. Second of all, brilliant night, fun crowd met a guy callled Neil. Awesome! Would highly recommend. Also fell in love tonight. Best dating place in the UK. I’ve been dating for a while now. All over England. This has been the most intense romantic evening I’ve ever had.

Sheltered courtyard at rear, this is a real old fashioned pub. Nothing fancy just good beer and friendly staff.

Decen garden. Dingy interior. Pretty odd for a pub to run out of gin!

We popped into the Flowers of the Forest Pub as we had time to kill on a very cold wet day.
The people in there were really friendly and welcoming.
I had a coffee which was lovely and hot, my partner had a shandy when we were getting ready to leave a lady came to see us out and the customers all said goodbye. Lovely

StAyed at the H10 Waterloo right across the road visiting from CT from the USA. Was warned it’s a “Boozer” which drew my wife and I towards it. Very welcoming and friendly but got that vibe that we weren’t welcome. Which was exactly how I expected it and loved every minute of it
D.
Great pub, very friendly clientele and good bèer

Bit of a time machine to my first time in London more than a couple years ago. Prices are low, afternoon is for the regulars, service is meh to just alright, but don't come here for that, come here to get your drink on and see how "real" Londoners get after it.

Very English style pub. Good for watching football and other sport because of Sky. Classic beer and food on average. There is a pool and a jukebox inside.

What a crackin boozer, beer none existent but what makes up for the lack of beer is the friendliness of the pub. Brilliant definitely will go again and I'm a CAMRA member

(Translated) The place I often went to because I was in front of my house! It's all normal. There are a lot of British grandfathers,,! Aka Grandpa Pub..?!? When you watch a game like soccer, there are so many people thanks to the big screen!! Pleasant atmosphere, the man who pours the beer, is so kind hehe
