Went for an event and it was jam packed. But despite that the bartenders did a decent service taking orders. Would recommend for a hire of a clubbing event easily if that is the approach you're taking. There is enough space and the atmosphere is a good blend between something upper and modern while keeping a light atmosphere.

This place was amazing. I couldn’t of asked for a better night with my friends; it’s everything I expected it to be. The staff were super friendly which turned our night to be more enjoyable, especially the manager with the glasses, Ben I think his name was. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

We booked this bar for a black tie event and it completely exceeded our expectations. The food, drinks and decor were wonderful, but the staff stole the show. They were very friendly and made the evening so lovely. We especially found that Cristian, Guilherme, Maley, Ion, Klearxos and Alexandra Mergim went above and beyond. They made us feel welcomed and were very kind! Thank you so much for such a wonderful night :)

Arrive in Happy Hour if you want to make the most of their delicious cocktails (2 for around £10)! Food is good and it's a great atmosphere with some 'weird' and 'artisan' elements let's say. Started off well. Had two pints of Moretti, went to get me last pint and was told by staff that "We Don't Serve Pints"? You do serve pints, you just have a cut-off time that you don't tell your clients? Why the secrecy?

Bouncer at door was great (not to be racist but was asian pakistani i think). Club is abit quiet though, would've liked more people. Drinks are very expensive! £30 for 2x double rum and coke and 1x lemonade. Full of ice too. Glasses are inconsistent in size, lemonade was small glass, coke i got a medium and then a large.

Visited in late july 2021 Was very quiet up until about 9pm. Then upstairs cleared out and they close the bar. Everyone went downstairs for the more club environment. Prices are ok and service was really attentive, perhaps because of the lower numbers. Shot girls a bit pushy but otherwise fine and looked great.

I read some of the reviews before coming here - the ones about the service being slow and “rude” kind of put me off a bit so I researched other places. In the end I decided to make a group booking here anyway because prices are reasonable and the happy hour until 22:00h is unbeatable comparing with other places in the area! Half of the group cancelled few hours before the booking, we had some other issues and I must say, the staff was understanding and flexible - and there was plenty of last minute changes that were a bit troublesome!! They served us with a smile and efficiently - a bit slow but if you are here to relax and have a good time that doesn’t really matter. I will definitely come back again and I had a great experience. I now think that some of the more negative reviews are that not reasonable.

I was a pretty big fan. The upstairs was quieter and more laid back. The downstairs was nearly a club with loud club music and a big crowd (Thursday evening). The vibe was fairly classy with everyone in suits and dresses. The bartenders were nice and friendly. The bouncer in the front was a little rude. Anyway I recommend!

Absolutely great experience from start to finish. Came in after a dinner with some friends. We came quite late and were worried that it will be hard to get in, however it was all fine and smooth. Door staff are very polite and helpful, even at the end they helped me to get a taxi home, which I thought was very nice of them. Atmosphere inside was great, we were in the bar downstairs and could even go to the club. Music was very good and all staff was brilliant. Great vibe, would definitely be back!

We popped in to Forge to try out their cocktails and to be honest the Silent Arsonist I ordered was absolutely great. That said we also ordered one of their sharing platters which was actually quite nice for the price. All quite enjoyable and a variety to choose from. The restaurant itself is really nice.

Xmas party - small food portions, but nice. Great venue. Dance floor downstairs and cloakroom was handy. Music seemed to be put on by amateurs, but proper DJ was reported to start later. Possibly the reason for this, and at least there was some music. I left early, so can't comment on how good it was when it would have been busier later on. Would happily return.

Forge is a great place for a party; the staff are so accommodating and helpful. My family recently hosted a surprise birthday party for me there and we loved it, having used it once before too for a party. The only disappointing thing was that it was supposed to shut at 3am but closed early because of Xmas timings. But, we will always be coming back to Forge for a party.

I came across Forge while looking for a place to do my birthday drinks, and was initially skeptical about the place as there were mixed reviews on the Internet. However, I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed my night there. Sophie was very helpful in providing me with info regarding the birthday packages available at Forge, which are pretty good value for money for London! I'd read reviews about how the staff were rude and the place was pretentious but this was totally not the case. The staff including the bouncers were very friendly and the music was really good. Would definitely recommend Forge and it deserves a higher rating!

Really big venue upstairs and downstairs. I was there for an event downstairs so not sure if down stairs is usually open but looks like it's a dance floor for Thursday Friday nights. A bottle of prosecco was £15 but can't remember if that was on offer. And it wasn't bad prosecco either. I noticed they had offers on cocktails as well but we did visit midweek. The staff are helpful. The venue in general is clean and not sticky. Didn't sit upstairs at all but for a Wednesday night it was very busy. Close to bank station, about a 2 min walk if that.

I've recently had dinner in this bars restaurant and the food was amazing. They catered for a larger group than average (9 of us) and we then later visited the downstairs lounge/ club area where we danced the evening away! I ordered the T-Bone, cut of the day special and was cooked perfectly! Check out the Cocktails and food in this place, they are both fantastic! Thanks for a great time, will defiantly be back!

Went to forge for the first time last Friday after work with a couple of friend. The bar was quite busy around 6pm but bartender were smiling and served fast. The first and only time I have been here, it was very good. The atmosphere was amazing, and it worked as a good ice breaker as I went there with my work colleagues, on one of our first nights out together. The music was really good and up to date. Unfortunately I lost my purse here, however after just a simple email to them to ask if they had had anything handed in, they swiftly replied saying they had my purse!

Held a NYE party at the Forge for over 600 guests. Everything ran to perfection. A massive thank you to Kieran and all the staff who worked their socks of on an extremely busy night. Came here for a work Christmas party. The cloakroom organisation was a shambles and the staff were unapologetic about the situation. The bar was understaffed for the amount of people requiring serving so getting drinks was slow. The Christmas menu was a pretty average choice but the food was pleasant and tasty although the pudding size was tiny. I won't be coming back in a hurry.

Delicious sounding cocktails but the service was super slow and the bar staff didn't acknowledge it, ignoring waiting customers and avoiding eye contact. I ended up buying a beer as I didn't want to have to queue at the bar for ages again (cocktails never last long enough). Interesting venue with the inside appearing to be some kind of converted grand building with columns and brickwork overlapping each other. It is early extremely popular and there was a stream of people heading downstairs to the club, so maybe we just caught them on a bad day.

Without a doubt one of the best meals I've had in a long time, the turkey was moist and tender with just the right amount of seasoning. The slow cooked beef fell apart without any need to cut. Definitely recommended booking a meal here.

This place could be amazing. It is a nice bar, classy. But security are a law unto themselves and the fee to get in after 10pm is just crazy, when the drinks at the bar aren't cheap either. So much potential and I did have a good night overall, but it is very pretentious for what it is :/

Standard city bar with a large downstairs dance area. Frequented by a lot of office works letting off steam after a long week. Music can be a little bit and miss. Atmosphere is ok. Somewhere to have a descent drink but not shout home about.

Have enjoyed many evenings here on a number of occasions with colleagues after work and have also held an after work event there, where we hired the entire downstairs for a presentation to 90+ people. Food and drink are very good and it can get lively of an evening. We've always been well received and enjoyed the atmosphere. Some colleagues at work have even coined the phrase 'getting Forged' in relation to the state they are generally in when they come to leave (not that I condone such behaviour!)

A cool place for a post work drink. Cocktail menu should cater to most tastes and plenty of wine to choose from. Was pretty busy on a Wednesday night so would assume it would be even busier on Fridays and weekends.

The bar at Forge serves a large variety of cocktails but is limited to two beers on tap, no cider and limited soft drinks. Happy hour is available but outside of those times drinks can be expensive, a glass of red wine costing £8+ The atmosphere is nice enough but it is dark and gloomy as there is no natural light. The restaurant area is situated between the bar and the bathrooms so endeavour to get seats by the walls to avoid being in the main "thoroughfare."

I met my friends here for drinks, and right way you can see this is a popular spot for City workers. I have to say the top part of the bar is much better than the lower floor. The back of the lower floor felt dingy with the walls painted in black with red lighting everywhere. The upstairs provides a different experience being lighter with more neutral modern decor. I was very impressed with the bartenders at the Abacus Bar. They are fast, friendly and very entertaining. The guys working on the bottom floor knew how to juggle glasses and bottles back and forth, putting on quite a show. I felt like I was watching Tom Cruise in the movie Cocktail.

Itty bitty little baby drinks. Come ready to spend some money. Or, better yet, drink before you come. The space is cool and music is standard pop pub/club jams, but drinks are weak and not cheap. I came as part of a party that reserved the downstairs area for a few hours. We had “drink vouchers” that got us only a limited range of drinks, and small/weak ones at that. If you’re planning an event, I might shop around before settling on this place, unless you can provide an open bar to your guests, in which case it’s probably fine.

This bar has 2 floors of beautiful furnishings and decor. Very metropolitan but exclusively set. Wonderful staff and food is good. It can easily hold 200+ people with comfortable ease.

This bar has changed dramatically and looks great! It doesn't feel like you are in the City! The menu has plenty of choice and is good value. I would recommend the pineapple Crème Brulee for desert! I went on a Tuesday and by 9pm they had changed the music to what you would expect in a city bar not a restaurant. Luckily we had finished our meal by then!

Came for an occasion, despite many other bars wanting deposits for reservations Forge didn't require a deposit and they gave a free bottle Moet champagne too. The atmosphere was very good and it wasn't too crowded, the dj played good music throughout the night it never got boring or dead. Forge had an offer on at the time of this review where you get 25% of drinks before 10, that was perfect in getting cheap drinks. Definitely recommend.

Bar service was quick, even on a busy Friday night. There's a big downstairs area with another bar and a dance floor. Also there is a cloakroom for £2. Drinks are a little pricy, but nothing massively over what you'd expect in London.

Part of a chain, this bar has an upstairs, slightly more corporate bar, as well as a slightly seedy, downstairs bar and dance floor. Start upstairs at the beginning of the night, when you've finished work, and afterwards, head downstairs for a boogie and to try out your chat up lines. Its fun and funky and worth a quick visit.

We got a warm welcome from Giles and who also very knowledgeably talked us through the 100 cocktail list and made recommendations, which he had had input into from his experience as a bar manager. Regarding the cocktails, I opted for No 35 as it has two of my favourite ingredients in it elderflower cordial and Ketel Vodka! It arrived as a pretty shade of green in a cut glass goblet, very attractive. We then turned our attention to the food, I opted for the coca cola glazed ribs with apple and fennel slaw (£15). My rack of ribs was a nice size, sometimes I find the humongous things that look like they should be balanced on the side of the Flinstones car overwhelming. This one was just right and the meat was nice and tender. Sadly I found the marinade to be a bit generic, with no hint of the coca cola glaze, it tasted mostly of ketchup. The apple and fennel slaw was lovely and refreshing and I would have liked a bit more of this to balance out the fatty meat. We moved on to dessert, I opted for the chocolate brownie with caramel ice cream. This was really good, fudgey, dark and dense and nicely offset by the ice cream (thankfully not salted as too many are these days!).

This used to be a stalwart of the city "meat markets" previously called Abacus, though it's had a facelift and rename (like its spiritual cousin Agenda now known as "The Tank and Paddle"). It's a good place if you want to get a skinful whilst dancing to RiRi hits in the pit downstairs. Beware the heavyhanded door presence, sadly necessary to keep control of the younger city types and accompanying Essex girls (hoping to grab themselves a "suit") once they're all a bit worse for wear after one too many espresso martinis. Definitely somewhere for the younger crowd, best enjoyed drinking copiously on a Thursday evening followed by a minor altercation in the McDonald's queue afterwards.

We settled in with cocktails, talked through the list by Giles (Restaurant Manager), who also gave us a historical background on the creation of the negroni. Clearly lots of thought has gone into the list which focuses on classics with a twist. In the bar and nightclub area in the basement, they had got a local artist to create the art in the VIP area wall backdrop as well as the textured wall in the private hire lounge. I enjoy my favourite drink - a negroni - whilst I made my menu selection. I plumped for the cider belly pork (£13). It was soft, succulent and complemented by the vanilla and Bramley apple sauce, and came with fabulous crackling that has not been over-salted (as has happened in other restaurants). Ended with a fabulous, well balance chocolate brownie with caramel ice cream.
