It was a quiet Saturday night when we visited so they closed early at 10pm. Friendly staff & a great selection of drinks made it a worthy stop off could of easily stayed longer sampling the beers. Will definitely pop in again when back in the area.

First time I ever visited The Fountain and Ink, and what a wonderful old world furnished medieval charm it has in appearance and yet imparts a soft modern open plan feel. The choice of beers and pizza is excellent and what cemented my good experience, stemmed from the wonderful bar staff, in their friendliness and prompt service, so I look forward to visiting again soon.

We came for a few drinks and some food with a friend local to London on a Tuesday evening. The staff were really lovely, the pub itself was very comfortable and well decorated. The pizza was delicious and all for a very good price! We’ll be returning soon!

Run down. I remember this place from 2 years ago, being a regular patron myself. The staff now is cocky beyond belief and need. You can be pretentious, but not when you don't know half the whiskeys that bejewel your back shelf. The tatted up gent behind the bar, senior manager if I can hazard a guess, is still good and present but the lanky bar tender is the source of the problem. Calls for a sour experience. Such a shame for one guy to compromise the entire experience, especially since the food is good too I've gone back multiple times before landing on this final experience. If you're walking past this place folks, keep walking! Cheers.

Stone baked oven pizzas are some of the best in London or at least on the South Bank. Beer selection is fantastic but it can get overly busy at times so you may have to wait a bit.

This is a classic British pub with some great ales, and their pizza is worth a try! One criticism, and this may be a personal preference thing, is that the pizza toppings, especially the cheese/tomatoes tend to slip straight off the dough when you try and handle a slice, so maybe they need to cook the pizza a smidge longer. Other than that they're good pizzas. Would recommend a visit!

Cool spacious bar located just off the Southbank. Family friendly, with excellent sourdough pizza with quality toppings, and unbelievable value for money at £5 for a Margherita. Wide range of craft beer and spirits. Definitely worth a 2 minute detour from the Southbank.

Been a few times now and has never let me down yet. The pizzas are simple, thin and superb, the staff are all friendly and attentive and there is a good choice of beer and some great gin choices. Pizza and gin is a pretty good USP as they go. They play music in here that makes me feel like I am in an episode of Grey's Anatomy and with the Jubilee Line rumbling beneath you the whole place has a feel of uber cool film set. Well worth checking out even if just slightly off the South Bank trail. Enough quiet corners for a low fi and relaxed date night and plenty to talk about.

This pub has highly knowledgable and friendly staff plus a huge range of high quality beers and spirits. If you like drink this is the place to come. Don't come here however if you don't like noise. At peak times the bare surfaces, lack of carpeting and open plan make this one of the noisiest pubs I've ever been to. Good pizza though.

One of the best new pubs/bars in London - dark and moody on the inside, great pizzas and a wide selection of craft beers/IPAs on tap and in cans with a sprawling show of spirits on the wall including a couple mezcals! The music can get a little loud later on in the evening but that was in the 'before times'... I'll updated when I get the chance to revisit.

Reasonably priced pizza. Lots of space as very empty. Very loud customers. Not great if you want a conversation. Not great if you don't use initiative upon entry as you will not be met and seated as sign advertises, so just go to the bar or your legs will ache after 10minutes of being ignored.

Visited 31 August 2019 What a massive pub this is! Thanks to the size it didn't feel particularly busy and if anything quite intimate, at times. Service at the bar was pretty quick, staff were personable and friendly. Can't ask for more. Pretty good wine list and usual suspects on draft as well as premixed espresso martini, which I found too sweet so ask for a taste before you commit as they're not cheap.

Really lovely atmosphere, good service at the bar, looks gorgeous with the fairy lights up! Only knocked one star off just because we were using a table which was reserved by another group later in the evening - that wasn’t a problem but we were shouted at very rudely by a waitress to move and hurry up because the other group was waiting. Wasn’t very pleasant, as someone who has worked in hospitality there are politer ways to get people to move on. But otherwise it’s a cute place :)

This is a great pub. Loads of great beers to choose from, including the mighty Gamma Ray from Beavertown on tap! The food is good (it's just pizzas though, no chips here!) Really good pizzas and decent value for money. There's a good vibe in the evenings. Sometimes in the day the back areas can be a little dark to sit in so I'd choose somewhere closer to the front where the windows are if you want a bit of natural light. Overall good boozer, good for a lunch or a few on an evening. Recommended.

Absolutely beautiful pub which is absolutely huge. If you're walking along the Thames, don't settle for one of those awful riverside hostelries, just walk one block away from Blackfriars Bridge and come here instead. Really good selection of beers and wines. The spirit selection is superb and beautifully presented. Pizza is available here, but I didn't try the food. Staff knowledgeable and friendly.

Amazing pizza and drinks at a reasonable price. Also, the staff are super friendly, a few bad apples notwithstanding. My only real complaint would be that if you're drinking or eating inside, it can get incredibly noisy, due to the acoustics of the place. But that would be it.

If you want a wide selection of taps and a decent amount of place to sit - then you can't go far wrong with this place. There are some good standard beers that don't go away and then a few more intriguing things that change with reasonable regularity. My only note that would be it's not the cheapest pub around, but versus what you might pay for a duller pint elsewhere, it's worth the extra. Limited amounts of outside space, but they do food too.

I feel like I'm in a 1980s American sitcom type bar. The windows are giant and the view onto the street is good. Good beer selection also. A bit pricy maybe, but you can't have everything. The music was really good and varied too. Amamdou and Mariam followed by shoe gaze followed by Americana ;)
