C. C.What a nice little pub, went in to try the famous fish and chips that was advertised on the board outside.. Had a laugh with the bar staff, very friendly and helpful.
Service was quick and efficient. The venue was clean and tidy. Being on the corner give you a great street view if your into people watching.
Don't be fooled by the photos, this place filled up within 10 mins of me taking them.
Food was served without too much of a wait and was excellent.
Looking forward to see you again on my next visit.

w. t.All attracted me it’s nice display from the window so been inside for a drink. Lovely atmosphere which all I enjoyed. The drink was fine as I don’t much like ale. This pub is much closer to the Paddington station. Surrounded by other eating drinking places.

We also ordered a portion of steamed veggies in which they served us boiled cauliflower, peas and carrots, I expected something better here :/
I also tried their strawberry cheesecake and that was good.

K. D.Visited this pub before out trip to Winter Wonderland. Bar person very good, Guinness, nicest I've had in a while. Ordered our food on the app and it was very easy and quick service, although the pub had just opened so not many people in there. Food was delicious massive portion of fish and chips and children ate all of there burgers, which is a surprise as it isn't anything like the fast food chain they like!
I had the hunters chicken Sandwich with fries and this was very filling I only ate half.
Would definitely recommend this place as near to paddington station and great food before a trip
T. Z.Bar can be found on Praed Street just up from Paddington Railway Station. The bar always has a great atmosphere when we visit on our way to Wembley for football. Unfortunately that's where my positive comments end. When we attended last Sunday the bar was short on bar staff and many of the craft beers weren't available. I assume non football days it is a good place for a drink and a bite to eat.

R. S.Decent food for a good price, although almost £4 for a diet coke seems a bit steep. Had the chicken and bacon sandwich which was loaded with mayo and opted for a salad, the side salad it came with matched my friend's side salad who had chips included. I would have thought a bigger salad wouldn't have been too much to sort. Staff were really friendly though and overall was a nice lunch

M. T.Nice place, went there to watch the football (England vs Iceland) was told I couldn't watch it downstairs because it was fully booked, but there was no one in there. Went up stairs and was sat on my own for the first 30mins which was a bit strange, they also wouldn't put the commentary on and then blamed the council which again thought was odd. But nice staff and good place.
D. C.Went here for dinner. Ordered food at the bar and had it delivered to the table. I had the fish and chips (without the peas) supreme which was delicious. I had the apple crumble for dessert which was delicious. The atmosphere was good and the servers friendly. They had a good selection of beer and wine. They also had tv's playing various sports games.

A. J.It was good and a fun place to visit. We walked by later on in the evening and it looked amazing!! The food was good. My husband loved his pot pie and my chicken was good. The fries (chips) were crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. The service was ok (not bad). I will say they love to drown everything in sauces and dressings. I wiped off the sugary sweet BBQ sauce on the chicken and I couldn't eat very much of the cole slaw because it was swimming in sugary dressing. But the meats were tasty.

K. S.Cool pub near our hotel. Good choices for beer and they serve coke, not pepsi!! Excellent fish and chips. Cod is moist and tasty and the batter is light and crispy. Perfect!

S. M.We were looking for a pub around Paddington to watch premier league game and surprisingly out of so many pubs around(checked 5 different ones) this one was the only hit. Nice, cosy with great atmosphere and big screen to watch the game. Loved the traditional pub feel.
Good food with friendly service, can you ask for more?
T. M.Fountains' Abbey was once a fine pub in Paddington. They even had the much-liked Hoegaarden whitbeer on tap (at a price, sure). Now, it's one of countless Greene King pubs in London, and of many in the area (there are two more just around the corner). And they serve Abbot Ale, as they all do. I don't mind drinking Abbot Ale every once in a while, it's a solid best bitter. But I enjoy VARIETY! And that's mostly gone now. There are a few hand-pumped guest ales - and guest ciders when I was visiting. But it is not the place anymore - although the service is very friendly, and nothing about the décor has changed in years and years. Pub-wise, London is getting more boring and predictable by the minute. It's all Greedy King now.

J. F.A pretty standard pub, about medium size. On Saturday night we managed to find a table pretty easily but it wasn't by all means quiet, still having a lovely atmosphere.
The food seemed quite expensive but had a reasonable selection of pub classics. Being close to Paddington the drinks were on the expensive side.

J. D.This was recommended by our hotel in Hyde Park. We had wanted a pub and we were not disappointed. When we walked in, the place was packed. We waited for our turn to order at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and professional. After getting our drinks, we proceeded to the upstairs. It was a very welcoming. We seated ourselves in very comfortable leather couches. We decided to order fish and chips. The upstairs bartender took our order. She delivered our order and was very friendly. The food was hot and very good. I highly recommend this place!!!

update* After trying a couple other nearby pubs I thought I’d reiterate how good the pies were here as well as the atmosphere for drink. Given it was my first London pub I maybe didn’t give it enough credit. Turns out they are not all created equal.
S.Good atmosphere and nice staff, I recommend going here if you want a quick drink and a quick snack. Also seems to be a good place to watch soccer matches it also has many beer sorts to chose from. If you want to go to a English pub do you need to go to this pub.
M. N.Decent pub near Paddington if you are early for your train. They sell a good selection of beers and the food is decent and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and the clientele a good mixture of locals and travellers
H. A.This is part of the greene king pubs chain of pubs. Food was mediocre. Had a few dishes that was flavorless and probably could have used a bit more salt. Atmosphere was nice and lovely though. Lots of people watching the game. This place is spread out over 2 floors with multiple rooms. Some of the rooms are cozier than the others.
d. s.Lovely old pub in Paddington area. Good range of drinks, good service, very good food. Apparently Fleming used to drink here in between major scientific discoveries in the hospital just across the road. There's even a plaque in his honour visible from the pub.
Would have been a 5☆ rating but £3.50 for a half pint of orange juice and lemonade put paid to that. Wasn't even freshly squeezed juice, it came straight out of a 1litre carton. I did query it but was told by the bar person she only worked there and didn't set the prices. Would work out at £7.00 a pint. Outrageous and unjustifiable.
C. H.We booked in advance which meant we got a room to ourselves which was great (We were about 15-20). Big negative was one of the staff who was not only rude but just not great at her job. Kept doing things like asking us to move out of her way when there was a clear path for her just a metre away. At close time we had no warning of time and she just took ppls drinks away. We would book here again but if we had the same staff member we would possibly make a complaint at her attitude. Was a shame as everything else here was great

J. '. M.Two minutes walk from Paddington station, so under two and a half hours from my local station in Devon! I went to London to meet some mates and stopped off in here to watch the Rugby on the TV and grab some lunch. Lovely staff, good grub & despite the roadworks - a lovely spot.

B. B.We came to this outstanding National Trust property on Boxing Day, as part of an organised Christmas break, and were amazed by the site and the brilliant volunteers.
Arriving soon after the property opened we wondered slowly down the relatively steep but well maintain bonded pathways to the abbey ruins which are spectacular, we then ventured onto the Water Gardens which is equally special. We saw the pilgrims who had walked from Ripon Cathedral, but decided not to join the service, but take the opportunity of grabbing some lunch.
We asked the volunteers at one of the entrances to the site if the shuttle was operating, yes it was, and they promptly called over the radio for it to come to pick us up. A relatively short trip back to the visitors centre.
Our bet was right, it was fairly quiet, and the food is really very good.
The shop is also very good.

Unfortunately a lot of food was sold out. So the only choise was fish and chips. It tasted good.
Tables were dirty and the sanitation wasn't clean as well.
M. R.I found no place to sit, some waiters were rude, and the food is rather expensive. But in the other hand the boss is a nice guy, and the place have a great vintage look, so it balances out my opinion.

C.Solid British Pub (check out the upstairs if seating is limited on street level), however it's a "Fullers" owned place which means it holds on to it's tradition, but the kitchen is practically that of an Applebee's. If you want a beer in a British Pub, this is a score, if you want food, find a place that's not a chain (i.e. Fullers or Greene King owned).
