Thought I would post a positive review, instead of negative stuff all the time. Wanted to say what great service we had at this pub the other day. We were served by a server/barmaid called Becca. She greeted us with a big smile, was very bubbly and couldn't do enough for us. Food was great, friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Been here a couple of times. Staff friendly. Great service. Cheap drinks. Unfortunately, food was very poor. Last Saturday, I tried Vegetable&Cramberry Roast. Sorry to say but it was awful, looked and tasted worse than a canteen food.

I've been here a couple of times and both times I've had such positive experiences here. My last visit was last Friday the 3rd September when Karaoke was on and it was so much fun. The drinks are also great value for money too. Not too expensive. My first visit was on a Monday evening the 16th August, I'll just say that Cham who works there was just lovely and helped me when I wasn't feeling too well whilst there. Will be returning here for sure

Local sports pub. Stonegate pubs have generally acceptable food, but the capacity to watch sport is excellent and they are very accommodating.

It's a great pub, not too expensive.... A bit raw, but it's a good raw, you can feel as if your in a proper pub! Nice adult environment. The food is good for the price, decent meals at great prices. This pub is definitely a new favourite, since the closing of the Wetherspoons oppersite, across the road.

Just had a fantastic couple of pints of Pride here. At £2.90 a pint too. Already looking forward to my next visit. Seems to have been refurbished recently. I do like the Fox. Decent garden, which has a big screen for sports screenings. Also there’s often a DJ and when the sport isn’t on the music is outside too. I’ve had food here before, standard pub fare food, but certainly a reasonable price. Pretty much opposite Putney main station, so it’s handy for that too.

This is an exceptional local. Clean the lines regularly, beer always crisp and on point. Food is well priced and delicious, some of the best wings I've had, crispy onions and buffalo is a great idea. If you're worried about Covid, this pub is the most secure environment I've been in. Toilets are spotless, service is socially distanced and the movement around the pub is expertly controlled. Even the doorman is a proper gent! I cannot recommend this pub highly enough for a covid era pint!

Really nice pub. Nice and friendly bar staff, cheep pints and a smoking area in the back what more could a guy ask for. Food slow to get to me but, not bad. Over all, a good local to go to. Up date on this establishment. Was there last night for the Footie. Once again, really nice food, much quicker this time😁👍 but, what stood out for me was this; there was an issue around the pool table ( someone wanted to play etc) but, the female staff member delt with the issue with grace and professionalism. That alone would take my rating to 6 stars. Well 👍👍👍 done that lady. It was kept low key, and I doubt anyone else even noticed. What a great place to have some food and a pint.

Best pub in the area for reasonably priced beers and watching the football. The outdoor area is often missed as it’s tucked away at the rear of the pub so make sure you check it out- it has heaters and a big screen so is ideal if you vape/smoke but also want to watch the game. There is a pool table and plenty of seats inside. The food is served quickly and service is usually friendly! I’ve been going to this pub regularly for the last 10 years despite no longer living in its immediate area and it will continue getting my business vs all the other pubs out there

1st time back in England with my 2 children who are 8 and 6 yrs old. They were desperate to try pub grub so we headed in. From the moment we set foot inside the bartenders were incredibly warm and welcoming and also made the kids feel very comfortable in a pub environment which was an unknown to them. They even treated the kids to some free ice cream. The beer and food was well priced and the food was tasty too. A great experience and the kids already want to go back!

Love this place! This is my new local after moving to the area. Staff are friendly, food is good, sports and entertainment great (when covid has gone) and during covid the pub is very covid safe and following government guidelines and fully wipe down all tables, chairs and doors etc after used each time! Great place to pop in for one drink, to have a meal or to spend the whole evening.

Excellent prices, really nice bar staff, only thing not so great is the ID policy inflexibility on a weekend night. When you are clearly in your mid 30s, sober, politely attempting to come in with 8 people with ID such a shame to be turned away without so much as an apology.

If you live in Putney or the surrounding area and you love football, this is the place for you! They play all the games and serve up some decent beers. Food is pretty dodgy and very hit and miss. But they have a decent outside smoking area where you can take your drinks.

Walked into the fox and hounds in putney and got greeted by a smartly dressed couple behind the bar I ordered an even bigger breakfast which was cooked by there chef on shift believed to be a young gent called Jacob when the food came to the table the presentation on the food was explicit the detail to putting it together on the plate made the visit worth while the food was cooked to perfection in every way and all of it was hot when it reached the table compliments to the chef were made and to the staff on duty on the way out of I could give more than 5 stars then I would have easily given it an 8. I would highly recommend this pub for breakfast on any day because it’s good quality and good value cooked with real passion.

Wonderful and unexpected pub in Putney, rarely present on guides and ratings. It's a typical English pub, serving beers from 10 o' clock in the morning until midnight but what I found amazing is the english breakfast they serve, richer and much more delicious than the one other similar pubs usually offer and -most important- at an incredibly cheaper price! Great selection of beers too. The quiet and pleasant atmosphere in the morning/early afternoon is priceless and the staff is quick and kind. You could spend hours on a table next to the big windows and the fireplace while drinking coffee or beer. Very seldom such quality is available in the crowded Greater London. Moreover Putney is a very beautiful district to go for a walk.

First, let's be clear, it is called the "Fox" but the closest from a fox I've seen is the bar tender ginger pubes. Apart from that, it is a nice place, cheap and you'll always fine someone for a quick one in the toilets, specially as they check your id at night, no risk to get on with an under 18 ;)

The Fox & Hounds hosted my 30th Birthday Party at the weekend, for the last round of the Six Nations for quite a large group of us. We all had such a fantastic time, and I couldn’t have asked for such a fab 30th Party! Thank you so much to Colin, Lou & all the staff who hosted us. They couldn’t do enough for us to ensure we were having a great time. I’d highly recommend The Fox & Hounds for its fantastic staff, great food, and excellent customer service.
