Brilliant pub in Islington, staff are always friendly, welcoming and quick to serve. Kamila in particular is super sweet and kind. The Locals are easy to tall with and the atmosphere is great. Will definitely be returning with some friends :)

Nice pub in Islington, convenient for the cinema opposite. Large upstairs room with big screens showing football matches. So good atmosphere if you like football or just deafening volume if you don't !

Came here because all the other pubs were too noisy, this was perfect as the music wasn't too loud and I could catch up with my friend. Food was also fantastic and Kamila gave us a terrific service and was very sweet, we'll definitely come back very soon.

Visited for lunch with family. Warm welcome from Jess and we had a nice table. Was easy to order food and drink at the bar. Ordered a couple of starters, a cheese and bacon burger and a smothered chicken. Really excellent and fab value for money too. There were some free onion rings left over from a works event and these were polished off in no time. Jess really friendly and helpful and we enjoyed ourselves. Thanks guys.

Booked a table in advance for a Saturday evening. Had hoped to enjoy the promotions (Happy Hour cocktails, Pizza with a drink offer, etc.) which were on the website and the menus on the table when we arrived. Once at the till to make our order, we were told that the promotions were not on due to "events"! What events?! There was darts game on the screens.... was that the events?! This was very disappointing. We stayed and had a meal with drinks, but it is dampen the mood as we were looking forward to some cocktails. Different menus should be used when the promotions are not on as it's misleading!

I went to the Fox for food and some drinks last week and I had a great time. I felt that it had a really relaxed ambience in which I could enjoy a casual after work drink with friends, moreover the food was really nice pub grub (with a good vegan chicken burger). The service is also really good - I would recommend going here!

The big projector upstairs is misaligned with the screen so you can see the bottom 20% - has been like this since the euros - how difficult is it to fix?

Food, staff and ambience was nice. Docking a point because you need to get an app and you need to register an account on the app. In the evening the music was way too loud, couldn't hear anyone or have a simple conversation over food. Docking another point for that.

Bring new to London / Islington / N1, it’s great to have a spot right around the corner that’s excellent for watching sports and grabbing a pint with a great view of Islington Green; what really makes this place, though, is the super friendly staff. Great place. Although Angel is a highly busy area, it was really calm and chill there, because it's located next to a small park. People working there are unbelievably nice and kind, which made my experience even more enjoyable. We were served by the girl with a ginger hair (unfortunately, I couldn't get her name properly... Liz?) and she's been really nice to us and would never forget about us, although we were sat outside. Will be definitely coming back to Fox on the Green!

Nice pub visited just after Covid restrictions were reduced. Staff were on hand at the entrance to advise on using hand sanitizer and the pubs track and trace. Quiet but the pub had just opened. Visited for a catch up with some amazing friends of mine. Islington bars are always fun and FOTG is no exception. We got there around 5 PM in corner table where we could chat and be alone but also enjoy the crowd as well. A football game was on so the atmosphere was super lively. The bartender was amazing as well. He was getting off just before happy hour but stayed on to mix us cocktails. Forgot to get his name but he was awesome. He even guessed by Trinidadian accent right away. Extra 10 points...Great service ! Will definitely be returning.

We liked this pub. We were visiting from US and wanted to watch an American football game. (Patriots vs Saints). It's a nice English Pub, staff were friendly and helpful. We were there in the afternoon and it wasn't very crowded at all. Didn't order food just had a soda and crisps.

Hence our booked table was occupied... but staff politely arranged for people to vacate our table without any conflict. Good venue for watching sport ... especially upstairs. Big screen and lots of smaller screens. Good location. Drinks were Islington prices...but didn't break the bank!

Booked the upstairs for Our sons christening, and the girl who organised it for us (Lizzie) was so lovely and super helpful. The manager on the other hand was abit awkward to talk to. However saying that, our party was brilliant and the day ran so smoothly. The food was amazing, the staff were amazing and so friendly. I'd defo book again, only reason lost a star because drinks are on the pricey side but it is expected for Islington. THANKS AGAIN LIZZIE

Slightly overzealous and miserable manager who treats people watching sports as though they're in the way, moaning about fire exit access...then gets bored and lets people sit in his fire exit exclusion zone anyway. Good room upstairs for watching the rugby though where he leaves you alone. Other staff are nice enough.

The most amazing french martinis by Giovanni can be found here! Although it was a busy Sunday and they ran out of most of what we were interested in on the menu - Giovanni guided us to a buttermilk chicken sandwich and some peri-peri/bbq wings that sufficed my (h)anger. His French Martini's were perfect for anyone who likes a frothy, not too sweet cocktail that had an essence of what tasted like raspberry. Great job Giovanni - really hope we make our way back to your table.

A slightly below average service station. Has a roadchef is you want bland food or a Costa if you want bland coffee. It's always a little tragic when the only thing worth going to in a service station is the garage or the McDonalds but I'm afraid to say that that is the case here. Save yourself some pain and stop at the next services.

Met up with some friends here while the rugby was on, it has two floors, a couple of outside tables, and looks a nice pub but, admittedly it was heaving because of the rugby, the service was ponderous and the staff bordered on rude, probably as it was so busy but hey ho, on a regular day if i tried the food and it was good it would probably get 4 stars.
