Absolute gem of a pub ... the bar lady was such a charming, kind and warm presence. The locals were brilliant... the pub doesn't look like much from the outside but step on in! It has a gorgeous garden, its clean spacious and plays sports on a big screen with huge speakers. I requested the F1 and they put it on! Haven't tried the food but I'll be back. Perfect London pub - top marks!

Ate in the Black Orchid with drinks from the bar above. All staff in both were really friendly and helpful, especially with respect to dietary requirements. Food was good and service was great. Two TVs showing sport downstairs - one outside and one inside so we could nip in once it got cooler towards the end of the championship playoff. Would definitely visit again

It is my local PUB and I couldn't ask for nothing more. Fair price big variety of drinks, incredibly food and the most friendly staff you will find. 😍 good for family, or for a dat or even to drink with your friends.

Came here today by chance, so glad I did , the place was spotless including the toilet, which gave me the incentive to order some food. The venue was varied and very reasonable priced. I chose the Ale and steak pie with mash, so glad I did it was divine. The manageress was very friendly and professional and made my stay there a pleasure , I left with a smile on my face which is rare these days. I highly recommend this establishment and definitely will be visiting again.

Fantastic Pub. So friendly and welcoming. I hear the Pub was not as Family friendly beforehand, but now anyone could come for a drink or bite to eat and feel welcome and comfortable. Staff are great and Land lady is lovely, constantly running around to make sure everything is going as planned and everyone is happy. I see good things for this Pub and will definitely be back to visit!!

I like the interior and the very reasonable pricing. Service can be a little slow. Waited 20 mins for some chips. They tasted as if they were cooked in the same oil as fish, so vegetarians should be aware.

The best pub in Muswell Hill for live music, karaoke, good food, live sports. darts, pool and friendly bar staff. If you don't have fun here then, quite frankly, you're doing pubbing all wrong! 11/10.

Waited for a while to be served for the first pint even though it is pretty quiet, not when Mario arrived however. Very quick recognition serving three people at a time and very polite.

Cheapest pint fosters 3.50 choice of real ale but quite expensive.advertises real ale club with reduced prices mon to Thursday but not happening. They have a gin palace menu but with no London produced gins i.e. portabella sipsmith beefeater Highgate etc and about 4 pounds dearer for a double than just up the road at the mossy pub, i can see it going down hill, if they get the wrong clientele back

This used to be a pub I would never bring my family to, but the new management have turned it around and made it into a friendly neighborhood pub. Staff are very friendly and quick.
