Lovely pub and on the plus side me and my mum got to take our dogs along on our lunch date. Staff were friendly and even offered our dogs treats and water. Also the food was quick and tasted delicious. Would highly recommend and visit again.

A quiet meal and drink turned into an evening of entertainment when a group of friends had a jam session. Lovely pub , right on Wanstead Flats. Decent food and good drink selection. Lovely staff. Large garden at the back and covered area to the front.Dog friendly. Fast becoming a favourite.

I had fun and games getting here as Google insisted on giving me incorrect directions. This is a Greene King pub but on a positive note the beer 🍺 range is excellent with no GK beers on (the GK IPA pub clip being turned around) and better still there is a 10% discount for CAMRA members.
This place is near the cemetery so while I've been here a wake has turned up I feel like the odd one out as most people are dressed in black and I'm wearing a Hawaiian shirt.

Was here today for a funeral wake. First time here for 30 years since I moved away from the area. Brought back lovely memories. Warm and friendly atmosphere, lovely friendly and helpful staff. Food and drink choices really good. Thank You.

Popped in here to celebrate the life of a recently departed loved one...
Guess a lot of people do so in this venue, given its proximity to the city of London Cemetery...
The atmosphere was good despite the presence of other possible mourners! :)
Lovely real fire burning in this spacious pub, with lots of spaces and a garden for the better weather...
Food was delicious, and we were informed of slight delay, as there was another large party already being catered for...
Beer selection was ok... maybe more extensive/adventurous pre pandemic...
Service was spot on and just right!
Hope to be back for another visit...

Great venue after a walk or a game of football on the flats. A number of items that were on the menu weren't available but the food came fairly quickly and whilst not amazing was ok. The kids meals looked very 'well done' but they didn't complain, so can't have been that bad. They do have an outside area with slides etc which is good for the kids but was closed due to the outside lights not working and therefore a health and safety hazard, I'm sure will be fine in summer !

As an old ex assistant manager here I'm glad about the positive feedbacks this pub has got .As for all the moaners our there about food waits it is a very small kitchen there I know as I have cooked in the kitchen . I have done kitchen work all my working experience this is the smallest size I have ever been working in so you can have the greatest chef in the world but in this kitchen even he couldn't get the food out any quicker

Always a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Good food and drinks to enjoy with friends and family. Cross the road for an open park (Wanstead flats). Family and child friendly. Although their menu is not what it used to be. You also have to order online if you're sitting outside...not completely sure of how it works if indoors. App is fairly simple to use too.
