Popped in for the first time in 40 years as I had returned to Chingford on family business. Friendly service and excellent food made it a happy return for me and i would certainly use it again when I come back... 👍👍

7 of us visited the hungry horse with clubcard vouchers 3 weeks ago. The staff are incredible, so helpful and happy. Nothing was too much trouble and using the vouchers was a breeze. The existing deals are still valid with club card vouchers so there’s 2 plates for £10.49 and the big plate specials come with a free starter or dessert, all still available. All of our meals combined came to £61.00. Such amazing value. The food was lovely, all arriving at the same time. We went back last night and again got the same lovely welcome, choice of table, assistance to order. The food was again really lovely. 4 adults starters and main meals cost a total of £31 plus drinks which aren’t included on the vouchers but not pricy at all. We can’t rate them high enough. The whole experience was great. We’ll be back again.

Greene man is a nice pub, traditional, clean, fair pricing. There are ample parking spaces, outside seating area and plenty of seating. Not too crowded and definitely not so loud like some other pubs. Downside, toilet seems to blocked most times and the hand wash is not easy with the taps so close to the basin.

Came to the Greene Man for some food and to watch the game. I was impressed with the speed and service I got and enjoyed good banter with the staff. Kadeem's fast bar serves with the thoughtfulness and politeness of Sarah's waitressing I had a great evening

Friendly staff. Nice meals from a big menu to choose from and served quickly. Good value for money. Good selection of drinks. Went there again recently on a Sunday afternoon , it was very noisy and packed, with kids running around and yelling/crying it was like a playground. But service was good as usual, we ordered our meals and waited a short amount of time for them to be served to us.

Fantastic Pub with Fantastic food. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome in these uncertain times. We got served our food in 20 minutes. With drinks arriving at our table within 4 minutes of ordering them on the great app. Come and have a great meal.

We visited the pub for the champions League final, dinner and drinks. We booked a table via the app and I spoke to the manager (blonde lady with glasses) on the phone as my dad is disabled. She was extremely helpful and very accommodating making sure that my dad had easy access to the seating area and an excellent view of the television. Food and service was amazing and the manager even brought over a glass of water for my dad as the excitement of the game was a bit much for him. Great experience overall and looking forward to more visits in the future.

My food was very nice, but my partner didn't really enjoy it. Cutlery was dirty, but we didn't wanted to complain because bar team was busy. Some old customers was rude and racist. But because they are old we didn't want it to make a drama.

A bit of a pfaff with whole test and trace procedures where one of us doesn't have a smartphone. Great value generously proportioned 2 for £10 meals - despite the mash being like playdoh, peas with all the taste boiled out and a steak pie so hot it has to be measured in Kelvin. All perfectly edible though - and good service provided. An experience! In response to owners reply.. Its no big deal - honestly! All is fine and as expected

We found this place a few weeks ago and have been coming here regularly ever since. Really good social distancing in place, the tables all have signs to say they have been recently cleans and they encourage you to order via the app, as to maintain distance, although you're also welcome to order at the bar directly. Sanitiser is also available too. Very friendly, great food, great CHOICE of food and they are also the only pub I know that serves Unicorn Gin (if you dont know what that is, I definitely recommend you look it up and try it!) Always very pleased when we leave here, very nice place.

This pub has good pricing for its food and drink with large and smaller meals available. The staff are friendly and well trained. There is plenty of seating available inside and a patio area beside the car park. If you fancy a drink with a large meal at a reasonable price, this is worth a stop.

Good service, great value. The atmosphere was a reflection of the price. For a cheap meal, and well priced drinks, the clientele will unfortunately be just a little vulgar. However, we had a good meal, and my family and I hung around and made the best of it.

If i could give 6 stars i would. We Went on a sunny saturday afternoon and found a table easily enough. The wife had the chicken and rib combo and she said it was delicious. I had the 24oz mega steak meal and I've honestly never had a better steak, no fat and cooked to perfection. If your local this is a must try place for food. Great value for money too if your after a cheap meal out. Will definitely be a new regular.

Lovely place to Eat with friends and family , a meal deal is most times on offer , if not all food is reasonably priced , well cooked and pleasantly delivered in a not too long wait , if you haven’t eaten here then I would encourage you to try it , I think you will enjoy the experience. Since the new people have taken over unfortunately this place to eat has gone down in my estimation , way down , menu is different , service was not good , food leaves a lot to be desired - out of 10 I think a 3.

What a difference managers can make. New manager started Jerry customer service excellent. Explain how things worked good add on numbers up to 3 weeks before a festive lunch nothing seem to be too much for her made me feel very comfortable and that I've made the decision to have 35 people there. Old manager won't name very rude didn't listen didn't want to help had to tell her twice not to call me darling needed to make two bookings for approximately 35 people each booking. Lost one of the bookings as we've gone somewhere else.

Used to host Singles Nights on a Saturday every month. The interior design inside is good. Food is standard. Prices are reasonable. I can only give an opinion on Saturday nights, as I've never been here on any other day of the week. It is mainly busy. And staff are very friendly. Overall, nice pub :)

I visited the Greene Man today for lunch with friends. What a fabulous place it is. From the building, decor, atmosphere, friendly staff and also the food. I would definitely recommend this pub and look forward to visiting again soon. 👌🏼

The food more specifically chips that I had are to die for they are lovely and crisp on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside as for the steak it has a lovely smoked flavour and are lovely and and juicy finally the egg was juicy and squishy but only three stars because they lack milk free products I could have stayed for a bit longer to have something to come after unfortunately all of the Deserts were if they were creamy they had some kind of cream filling that I just just can't eat my system will not take it and then my liver will collapse

They never EVER have any vegetarian options in stock!! My friend has to always have the macaroni cheese because that's all they seem to have in stock!!
