R. P.Fantastic venue. Cross between a Witches Coven and Hell. Brilliant atmosphere. Ultra efficient bar staff. Reasonable prices £2 for diet coke. Small music venue out the back. Super sound Grave Lines were Stella. Cheers guys.

E. H.Really cool place, however only one member of staff was wearing a face mask which was very disappointing given the current situation.
Edit: I did notice the exempt badge and was not referring to her. None of the bar staff were wearing masks which is required, neither were the people on the decks, a shame really! :(

K.Have been here a few times and really love this place: the music is nothing short than excellent- only in this venue have I been spoilt by 70 Stoner Rock AND Turkish Psych-rock from the 70ies, when I happened to be there when a DJ played precisely that niche exquisite genre - very, very cool 🤘

M. C.Was introduced to Helgi's by my friend Ray. Went last night and was knocked out by the friendly staff, excellent decor and fantastic 7O's rock. The draft beer selection is limited but excusable given the size. Social distancing fully observed, friendly patrons and just a short walk from London Fields Station. The toilets are an experience too. In a nice way (you'll see). Surprise of the night was a free shot from the bar. Nice touch. Keep it up guys. Will be back. 😁

S. B.Great little bar with a rock/metal/alternative vibe. Friendly welcoming mask-donning staff who make sure your table service is top notch.
Don't fret over the toilet smell; it is reasonably clean, and this place may well be the only rock bar in town with actual toilet seats. If you're sensible, drink enough and you shall only smell the incemse.
Trouble-causing chavs beware...security will make sure patrons are protected. You will get your rear-end kicked and receive a proper wedgie such that you won't sit down for a month (and we get to circulate your photo in social media and create funny memes out of you).
Plenty of kebab/dirty fried chicken places nearby if you fancy hanging with local gangstas, or order a plate of tasty food with the bar staff and you will soon be the envy of others around you (and suddenly believe it's your looks+charm that attracts people).
During COVID times bookings are recommended. Contact details will be taken at door, but you won't be microchipped. Witchcraft knowledge or Satan-worshipping not compulsory, but highly recommended.

H. R.Best bar in Hackney. Small, bohemian, very friendly, unpretentious environment with lots of locals and regulars to talk with, independent, delicious drinks, great 60s, 70s, 80s music on vinyl, so much love and effort put into redecorating the whole place every fortnight or so. ❤️

S. C.This is a pub unlike most pubs. The bar staff actually care what you have to say and what you order. The place is cool, but timeless. This is cool, unique, and relaxing. I highly recommend this pub and guarantee you will enjoy yourself here.

Ask Helgi to make you a negroni, then three, then four, and you've officially hooked into the hot weather zeitgeist, despite the fact that it's cold outside. You'll be back because it's not just a place, it's an institution of like-minded spirits from all walks of life.

L. V.WOW!!! What a great place: cool settings, great music, fabulous atmosphere, large choice of drinks ... but most importantly: AMAZING STAFF! Very friendly, helpful ... even the bouncer is fantastic. So whether you like Metal or not (the music is not too loud so talking is still an option), this bar is definitely worth a visit.
