Very good value for.money . They had run out of some of the vegan options but this vegan easy cheesy pizza and buffalo cauliflower hit the spot. Bar staff are really friendly and they have lovely booths, tables, and cosy areas! Go ahead n enjoy!

I wholeheartedly with full belly recommend the Sunday Lamb Shank. It was delicious- the meat was tender, nice flavour and suculent. The nice additions they do a bit differently as well is the potatoes which I think were boiled and then fried or baked. The presentation was good, yorskhire pudding 👌. I honestly cannot find any faults with it at all...also price wise- it is definately cheaper than some other places and way better quality food. I had the chocolate fudge too. Photos of Sunday roast is in the middle of me devouring it because I was hungry and it was delicious 😂 Another important bit- staff were kind, checked if we like the food and nice overall.

An excellent history! Great island bar with plenty of nooks and crannies surrounding it. Staff are excellent even though it may only be their second day (hooray!) Plenty of great beers, wines and spirits to keep the party going. There is also a busy, buzzing roof terrace and bar (Not open when I was there, never mind). Great visit, highly recommended for your next visit to Hammersmith.

The Hop Poles 📍 17-19 King St, Hammersmith, London, W6 9HR 🚇 Hammersmith 🍺 Estrella £4.90 ❤️ I was working in the area and thought I’d pop in and grab a quick pint and a bit of lunch at the @thehoppolesw6. This west London boozer is slap bang in the middle of Hammersmith and sits opposite the famous Lyric Theatre. There are several pubs all within a stones throw but I chose to visit here based on the imposing frontage and grand scale of the place. On entering it is clear that the collars don’t quite match the cuffs as the interior is modern and somewhat clinical compared to its grand victorian exterior, having said that there are some handsome partition pieces and behind the bar salutes back to the past with some etched mirrors. Overall though it’s clean, tidy and very well maintained. It was quiet on this Friday lunchtime with a smattering of punters mainly sat around the booths and poser tables on the outskirts of the pub. I had a pint and a club sandwich, both of which were spot on and not overpriced so no trousers being pulled down here. The service was prompt and attentive, no small talk but nice all the same. The atmosphere was relaxed but you get a clear sense that this place is set up for high footfall with its large entrance area ready to tackle high numbers of punters and larger groups. . Reflecting on my visit here, I think to get a true feel for The Hop Holes I would probably come and visit one early evening to see this place come alive. Overall though, it’s a steady boozer, clean & tidy with a good selection of beer and food and not too hard on your pocket. . 📊 Information correct on visiting 08/11/19 . . .

After arriving in Hammersmith and realising the gig we were going to had been cancelled so feeling disappointed we popped into the hop poles for a drink and what a lovely place this is it was my first visit, there was a lively atmosphere with a mixed age range I opted for my fave drink of vodka we were served by Marcus who was helpful in letting me know what vodka was available and even tried to get me to have a double our drinks were very nice and we ended up staying for a couple more with Marcus remembering what we had ordered previously, a really lovely pub with a great atmosphere will definitely be back.

Very funkie, trendy pub. Recently refurbished to an amazing quality and detail, 1 off pieces of Art made just for the pub. They made sure the style and decor suits all genres of people to make sure all feel welcome. Upstairs there is a Function room again very beautifully and cozy with a fully stoked bar. The function room can be reserved to a party, business meeting, wedding or anything you may wish to celebrate. Fantastic choice of drinks and ALES, huge variety of spirits, 2 for 1 Cocktails 5pm until 8pm Monday to Friday which can be placed at the cocktail bar whilst you watch the cocktail barman built your choice of cocktails. But the secret of Hammersmith is the Hop Poles big roof terrace garden,, very beautifully decorated with different colours chairs and different shapes of tables which gives an amazing shape to the garden, smells amazing because of the fresh flowers everywhere and for a few hours you and your friends can think they on holiday with a cocktail under big white bulbs and have a FIESTA. A hidden gem! The rooftop garden is adorable, with plenty of space for groups of friends to get together safely under covid guidelines. We were seated under a cover with a little heater which kept us perfectly warm. The staff were friendly and welcoming and explained the one-way system to us. They said we could order via an app (which was super easy to use) or just ask them for help. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced, we enjoyed the sharing combo and were surprised at the value for money.

Excellent gastropub for an evening out locally. It is just opposite the square (Lyric Square). We were there at about 6pm and they had great offers on food and drink. The food was good with a 2-for-1 offer. We also had cheap cocktails which included an espresso martini and a delicious 'Caramel Old Fashioned' cocktail with whisky, angostura bitters, sugar syrup and possibly caramel. Food was served quite quickly and the staff were good.

What a change 40 years make! I used to go to this place as a reporter during The Troubles to interview Provisional IRA types smuggled in through the back door, with heavies all round. Now, it's Hipster Central, with the back bar turned into Cocktail Corner and craft ales crowding the Guiness pumps to near extinction. Oh well, I found it all a bit soulless but, if you are a Hipster, or Hipstette, come on down. At least you're not murderous thugs!

It's a decent but often busy pub. Downside is they used to do 2-4-1 cocktails which they've now stopped sadly. Other than that, it's got a nice atmosphere, staff are nice, lovely beer garden upstairs and it has a small smoking area downstairs too- both area have heaters in case of those cold days.

A great place to eat and the service is good too. We hired the upstairs room, providing everyone buys food, so the room was free, a really nice deal! Almost lost a star because ordering at the bar could take a few minutes as there was always lots of people ordering. Food came quick though! So gained it back :) Food was good, only problem for me was parking in the area isn't ideal, some roads are free on the weekends but are a fair distance to walk. Thanks for having us.

Nice place to have lunch. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The food we had was very nice and not really expensive for the location. It is roomy and not overpowering decor. I liked that there is enough room in between the tables, you don't have a table right next to you. This is a plus for me, as I am not really interested in hearing someone else's conversations. I will be back to try other bits on the menu, there are a few very interesting choices.

We are going to the Apollo Eventium and got here early. There are a number of pubs in this area so we selected this one. The ambiance is great and the staff are polite and smiling which is nice. We ordered from the menu, double beef philly pie and cheese and potato pie. They were well presented and tasted wonderful. The prices are not to bad considering. Overall I always ask myself would I come back. It is a resounding yes.

The roof garden is so cute in the summer and a favourite hangout for a few of us. It's a bit of a hidden gem in Hammersmith, and decorated with fairy lights. Very lovely old school pub. A lot of space to move around. Bear garden at the back and a terrace to enjoy the good weather at the top. 5* due to the perfect toilets proper cleaned and maintained. Boze at decent prices considering the area. Located just around the corner from Hammersmith station. Loads of shops nearby is you fancy a quick bite, especially the pizza place a few door down. Very decent pub opposite the Lyric theatre and also opposite a Wetherspoons. Perhaps the latter is what inspires them to offer excellent 'spoons' style deals on food, especially at lunchtime. Had a nice lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. The place is nice and cosy with lots of seating. The food was good, it did take longer than average to come out especially as we only had sandwiches but it was fairly busy. The toilets were ok and the staff were friendly. The Hop Poles is a great place to meet friends for drinks on a weeknight. The bar gets busy after hours but we have always managed to find a seat even if the couches sink a little bit too low. You get so comfortable that you always end up staying longer than planned. There are so many different beers and ciders on tap its easy to want to try them all. If ordering food, they are honest about the wait time and to be quite honest it is worth the wait. If you haven't already been there it is worth giving it a go.

I am surprised there are not more customers for the Sunday roast. The lamb was excellent, the vegetables crisp and the roast parsnips and potatoes gorgeous. Don't forget to ask for the mint sauce as it isn't on the table. The waiter was very pleasant and nothing was too much for him. All with a smile

My meal of fish N chips was poor, a lot of batter hiding the size of meal, my wife's smothered chicken was ok, large pub with a noisy atmosphere, 5 min walk from station and apollo theatre, a single and double pink gin with fever tonic £13+. would probably not use again, better pricing establishment nearby.

Such a fall from Grace although still a reputable Pub in Hammersmith. During the 90s early 2000s they used to play UK garage and it was booming. Its almost as if that younger crowd have been overlooked in turn for the more mature customer. Seems a shame as I can guess the profits must have taken a hit.

Even though we'd booked our table of 10 people and were 4-5 minutes running late, we still had to wait another 15 minutes for our table to be cleared and sit elsewhere with drinks. So that was an annoying start! But this was followed with some amazing thai food, including a red duck curry which we've all raved about for weeks afterwards!

We hosted a club Christmas Party with The Hop Poles and got both a good price and good service. The bill was split such that food and drinks were paid for separately to make final payments easier. They accommodated for both coeliac and vegetarians and were excellent when it came to change an order that had gone wrong. The pub itself is spacious, has seating of varying type (dining table, sofas, high tables) and a friendly atmosphere.
