We had a lovely time at humble grape Battersea. The food was super well seasoned, the fish and the meat perfectly cooked and the wine really good! Try the chocolate cake, it is heaven! Thank you chef Jeremy, we will come back!

Great service on a fully booked night (lots of tables very little space) still got a seat, thanks to great staff. Selection of wines where good, I think a slightly higher price higher quality, but same layout of wines, would be a great addition for tasting menu. Small groups, split levelled, very small outside area. Cosy four people place with interesting wines. Book in advance for weekends. 5 stars for not down grading the overall rating but 4 stars compared to other experiences of the same nature at high end bars. Think Cosy four people place late 20s+ with trendy wines.

The octopus wasn't as soft as I wanted and the waiter didn't really explain what we were drinking, as we had a flight of wines. I like the Humble grape bars, but maybe this branch is not my favourite one, would definitely try a central London one again

Our go-to destination for a great evening out! We love everything about this place. It is a total gem, with a fantastic team who absolutely make the experience what it is. Wine is fantastic, with many you won't find elsewhere in London and the team are fab at recommending new wines to try and explore. Food is also great - something to delight everyone. If it isn't already, the HG needs to be on your bucket list!

Went in the restaurant on a busy Friday night with 3 of my friends. Inside was buzzing the moment we stepped in. The manager welcomed us and quickly cleaned the table himself to seat us. Food was amazing, the chef even brought the food out himself! My kiwi friends said it was like fine dining on a chefs's table without the high price. Service was amazing from the moment we sat. We where served by a young lady and a guy wearing an apron . Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a wine bar that makes you feel like your a local

I had my birthday at Humble Grape, and about 30 of us did the bottomless brunch at the Battersea branch. The waiter was excellent with topping up our glasses throughout, there was TONS of food and the whole vibe was so cosy. We were looked after really well, I'd definitely recommend this place.

The wine selection is incredible, however, the best thing about Humble Grape is the staff. So knowledge and personable, you'll have a great time here. Big shout out to the American sounding waiter, you're crushing it! 👍

Cosy and intimate location in the heart of Battersea rise. We were served by a remarkably welcoming and friendly staff and were offered some starters to make up for the long waiting time for our order. Quite satisfied with out wine , food was great - my octopus was really delish. Meat also tasted fresh. All plates have a touch of creativity with an interesting choice of sides, seasoning and sauces. We all took one small dish (+bread) and were quite full with some nibbles too. Price reasonable too, only wine sounded a bit too expensive. Also not nice to see I need to pay more than double price when drinking in Vs take away. I know must be pretty standard but definitely prefer not to know ;) overall recommended for a local and quiet dinner!

We had a wonderful Friday evening here looked after by Lara and her attentive team. There is an extensive selection of wines, knowledgeable staff and delicious small/large plates to accompany your drinks. Lots of options for vegans and vegetarians and there are sharing platters which also looked very appetising. I highly recommend for a pre-dinner/aperitivo spot, date night or for a causal meet up with friends. It can get busy (speaks for itself) so friendly heads up that booking is advisable :) Thanks again for a lovely evening!

A firm local favourite. Not only is this place a charming and well stocked wine shop, it is also a great place to meet and eat. The staff are just brilliant and always welcoming and willing to share some expertise and ensure that you enjoy your purchase. The range of wines is more interesting than many restaurants, supermarkets and other shops and each selection comes with a story that shows that the producers are passionate and taking care of their environment and community. Who knew that wine drinking could bring you even more joy!?

Absolutely love this place! Wall to wall wine and a great atmosphere to match. Whilst it's quite a big place, it feels homely and friendly. Visiting on Wednesday there was a two piece band, giving it a chilled relaxed atmosphere. Had a couple dishes to share, all were decent - olives cooks be a bit better. Service was going I'll be coming back.

I love this venue, and have had many great lunches and dinners, however during lock down took advantage of the online WSET course being taught by head wine Guru Desiree. It was good fun, informative and educational, and I now have something to show for my self isolating. Also after class is done you have lots of lovely wine to drink, as you only taste and spit while you are learning. Thoroughly recommend this to anyone who wants to know a bit more about what they are drinking.

We met for drinks in the wine bar downstairs a couple of weeks ago - lovely atmosphere and not overcrowded. Staff were accommodating when more people than expected arrived, and service was excellent. I was recommended a sparkling rosé that was delicious! A few ordered food which came in good time and was lovely (I had to sample...) Such a relaxed and enjoyable experience I've already booked to go back for dinner this weekend!

Came here for drinks with some friends and ended up trying a huge variety of surprising, great wines and brilliant food. What takes it to the next level is the service as you feel very taken care of and they strike a great balance of not intruding on your meal but offering some great suggestions on wine and offering a bit of an education to those that want it. From someone who likes to drink wine but knows very little, their approach meant I tried things I otherwise would never have chosen and LOVED them. Chloe was top notch, and I suspect that she knows her stuff so well that she could tailor it to perfectly to people that are well versed in wine just as much as someone like myself. I think it would be a great place to impress a date as well.

We enjoyed our first time at Humble Grape very much. We were there from 9 until 11pm. Both of us enjoyed the recommended wine flight. We ordered a bottle of wine as well and several tasty dishes. That being said, there was one thing about service that stopped me from giving a perfect 5 stars. After we were seated, no one came to take our order for 15+mins. Then during the course of our stay, we had to flag down the waitress several times for service. At one point, we even got our own bottle of water! There should have been more staff on a Friday night. Despite some hiccups in service, we felt the wine, food, atmosphere and disposition of the staff to be amazing. We plan to visit again in the near future.

Really love this place. I go to the Battersea branch and the service is always impeccable, wine is always delicious (and they know their stuff). Really cosy, great for a catch up with a cheeky cheese and charcuterie board but also great for dinner, the dishes are made with a lot of attention to detail with great flavours. On Monday’s they sell the wine at retail price - so a good excuse to start the week right!

Humble grape is a wine bar, so the menu is not extensive. Actually there is only three courses to select from on the menu. We had the cheese and the sausages and that was excellent! Service is also supreme so it can only be 5 stars... I will recommend though that you do not take the table closest to the bar in the basement as the 'perfume' from the mens room, sometimes drifted to us.

A wonderful, intimate wine bar/Restaurant. As the name suggests, this small-ish wine bar/restaurant serves wines by the glass {choice of 30} as well as the bottle (400+ artisanal wines to chose from)... as well as a good selection of reasonably priced "European dishes. It is well located-- near Clapham Junction-- i.e. [accessible by the "Tube"]. It is ranked in the top 1/3 of 1% (i.e. ahead of 99.7%) of restaurants in London! It has also been awarded TripAdvisor's coveted "Certificate of Excellence" [based on Reviews and feedback from travellers like you and I]. Its "laid back", informal style makes it a "popular favourite"! Its definitely worth a visit -especially if you happen to be nearby. I hope that this Review has been helpful.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, wonderful/interesting wine selection and great atmosphere. I went for a celebration with a group of friends and we had a fantastic time. I don't usually like cava or prosecco, so would choose champagne for a celebration, but the staff were really helpful and suggested we try the cheaper cava and prosecco, both of which were fabulous, we even ended up buying some to take home. Food was also great, well matched to the wine and generous sized sharing plates.

Hamble Grape is probably one of the best wine bars in Clapham/Battersea area. We visit it very often and each time feel well accommodated. The staff is knowledgable and attentive and has a healthy attitude towards their clients. Wine selection is satisfying. Food is good and always beautifully presented. I love a glass of big full-bodied red with their must-have baked Camembert (sprinkled with fresh herbs and truffle oil). The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. You almost feel like at home. Be prepared to queue on a busy day!

Amazing wine store/restaurant with great food and helpful staff to recommend wines to match. They import their own wines from small, independent wineries and offer help on their website to identify what styles of wines you are likely to enjoy. I only wish I lived closer to a place like this.

I think I may have a new favourite wine bar in Clapham. Cosy vibe with a fantastic selection of wines and very knowledgable staff to match. The owner made the rounds and went out of his way to make sure we were looked after, a rare treat these days. Decor is top notch and if you fall in love with a wine on the night you can buy more to take home (at very reasonable prices). Very highly recommended. Only minor gripe was that nibbles were ok, very tasty but didn't blow me away.

I recently undertook the WSET Level 2 course online with the wonderful team at Humble Grape. I had been meaning to do this course for a couple of years and finally used the lockdown as the best excuse. Desiree our tutor was a superstar, friendly, knowledgable and fun. The course ran for around a month and was shared with a group of like minded wine-passionate peeps who wanted to formalise their knowledge and experience. Humble Grape handled the whole thing brilliantly, I highly recommend. For some of the sessions I shopped in the Battersea branch and the team were also friendly and welcoming. Thank you all at HG and I hope to see you in store(s) again from the 4th of July!
