Chose Jin Bo Law for our NYE celebrations as I initially stumbled across it during the summer whilst staying in Aldgate. It goes without saying the location and views on the outdoor terrace are insane. You’re surrounded by many fantastic buildings such as The Gherkin, The Scalpel and St. Botolph without Aldgate. If you’re looking for a prime backdrop for selfies this is the place to go. Staff were welcoming upon arrival and provided a lovely cocktail which was part of our package. Areas for improvement by Jin Bo Law is to offer a cloakroom service. Perhaps they already offer this already but on the biggest night of the year it was out of service and so myself and the rest of those partying for NYE had to carry around coats which was a bit annoying. The bouncers could do with a bit of common sense and understanding as we kept being shunned away from an area of the bar that backs onto to the elevator entrance as it was getting a bit tight, when we asked him to elaborate on where else he’d like myself and my party to stand (very little space to move on to as it was tight at this point in the night) he wasn’t interested in elaborating and just kept throwing hands up asking us to on. We ended up standing outside for the rest of the night. Other than that, it was a great night with friends and would consider returning again for more celebrations.

Looks good on the pictures but was actually disappointing. Went on a Friday night for a date and found it to be too loud - clearly not a speakeasy and actually a bit chavvy in terms of crowd. The table service was good but when I went to the bar to get a drink the lady pouring it did it pretty badly and sloppily. Very pricey too, not sure it was worth £15 per cocktail.

Had a great pre-party drink here Saturday! Great vodka martini from the bartender Chris who was great! Alex, the cocktail server was exceptional! So lovely and friendly 💕 even after I split a drink on her. Great location and great staff. The view is fantastic.

The scenery here is so good that you can see the city of London. Cocktails are delicious and beautiful. If it's cold, the thoughtful waiter will give you a blanket. highly recommended!

Great night out! Even better due to quality of the young ladies present, and the music wasn't bad either. The bar staff were also pretty cool, and very accommodating. Even cooler was the girl behind the bar with the tattoo. Very nice indeed. 👍

The skybar at the dorsette Hotel is a lovely rooftop bar with a beautiful view of London's skyline. The ambience is inviting, the music great and the cocktails simply sensational. You can relax right away and enjoy the evening. The service is great and always in a good mood. Since the skybar is always busy, a reservation is recommended, but you can still find a place if you're lucky. The skybar is definitely worth a visit :)

You must visit, drinks are fab and the view is stunning. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. As far as the price of drinks, it's no more than most standard places in London but with a much better ambiance and incredible views. Be careful what day you visit as on certain days there is a minimum spend per person and definitely book in advance (I booked about a month and a half in advance for a mid week booking).

The timing of my visit was perfect. Late afternoon so not busy so was able to get in without a booking, although I would advise this in the warmer months. Beautiful looking bar. Outside bar although chilly (was January) was available too! Seating with huge furry throws and patio heaters enabled us to sit outside and admire the fantastic London skyline. Cocktail menu very good. Staff were attentive and friendly. Cocktail was amazing. A must visit bar in London!

Loved it, the views are amazing, but the music gets quite loud there so expect to have to scream to hear each other. Quite a crowded place actually, on the higher end both crowd and price wise, the views though, omg.. One can fall in love with the city sitting on the outside patio. Unfortunately the fireplaces didn't work but they had puffy blankets which kept us warm. Nice service too.

You can trust the bar team with your favourite cocktail, even if it’s not on the menu. Bar with a good view, hotspot for influencers. Do not recommend to sit outside during windy days. It can blow away your drinks. Friendly staff, friendly hosts, confusing entrance on google maps. The entrance is from the hotels, do not try to locate the pin. ;)

You have to visit the place to understand the size of it, as it's quite small. I imagine that it can get super crowded on the Friday night, however we went on Wednesday evening and enjoyed every minute of it. Definitely my favourite rooftop in London! The view is spectacular and you can enjoy it even from the inside. Cocktail selection is well studied, and they are delicious and well presented. Fantastic vibes with dj set on weekends. Staff is incredibly nice and prepared on drinks, especially Victor who tried to accommodate all our requests. I'd surely recommend to have a drink here!

Very great spot! Wonderfull view of the city, great drinks well presented. Music vibes were missing in the terrace but the staff was very welcoming. After 4 pm they don’t serve coffe anymore, which is something they supposed to serve all the time, standard can definitely improve in a type of place like this one.

Highlight of the weekend. Went on a Saturday was served by a tall blonde women at the bar who was very polite and professional. She was talkative and made us fell very welcome. And to top it off the view from the bar are the best in London.

Great decor, beautiful furniture and gorgeous bar area; but way too packed, could hardly move around or even trying to get to the bar area. Music was way too loud for just a bar, felt more like a night club, could hardly hear my friend talking. People attending this bar were quite rude, dressed way too casual for the place's etiquette and standards. Was not really what I expected and I didn't want to stay more than one drink there due to the nature of the place and clientele there. Staff were very superficial, they pretended to care about us to get us a table, but didn't even bother writing our name down somewhere. It is not a great experience to be honest, but it is OK for after work, going with colleagues for one drink before going somewhere else or introducing a few people to the London views.

Truly one of the best experience on a rooftop bar in London. I have been there few times with friends and I always find it amazing, the location, the view, the cocktail's menu, but above all the staff. They have been kind every time, trying to accomplish any request with a smile on their face, Victor has been a great shoulder for the whole time suggesting great cocktails and treating us in the best way possible. The staff were very welcoming and the drinks were great (worth the price !). They have a brilliant cocktail menu. I went with a group of friends and the bartender (Eze) explained the story and the ingredients of each one of our cocktails. And the presentation, just WOW! Beautiful and original. The service from Jennifer, Olga and Victor was really outstanding and helpful, recommending cocktails based on your tastes. Service was absolutely exceptional from the beginning. Cocktails a little overpriced and a majority were pre-made which seemed a little strange to me as I've worked in a cocktail bar before and this was never something we did. I think 4 stars is pretty generous, but the view is pretty unrivalled and unlike some of London's more famous viewpoints it remains relatively undiscovered. Good starting point for a date night, and the cocktails are decent. Would stay for a couple then head.

One of the lesser known rooftop bars in central London. Came here on a weekday evening and the experience was pleasant: Not too busy. Staff were friendly and attentive. Music wasn't too loud. Drinks were strong and expensive (but reasonable given this is a rooftop bar in The City). The decor can be described as modern and Asian-inspired, as are the cocktails. Views of the skyline from the terrace are definitely worth a few drinks but I wouldn't describe as iconic, and as are anywhere else in London that offers a view, you should book beforehand.

What a find! A great sky bar perched around 12 floors up in a fairly new Dorsett Hotel at Aldgate, the service is polite and not too intrusive, amazing cocktails and a suitable ambience (for a Monday at least!!). I'd highly recommend it

We had arrived 30 mins ahead of our booking and my husband and I had already planned that if our table wasn't ready we would stand by the bar. We was greeted by a really nice member of staff who took us up in the lift to the top floor where we was greeted by the manager who kindly got our table ready for us even though we was early they were able to accommodate us and nothing was too much trouble we had put in a request to be seated with a nice view and they took that fully on board and made our anniversary very special and to top it off we was given two complementary glasses of bubbly which was such a great touch. Such a great team at Jin bow law we will definitely be returning. Bearing in mind they have only been open for two weeks the staff and management team are doing a great job. The views are amazing and the drinks are so reasonably priced a big 5/5 from us.

Lovely rooftop view of London, a bit pricey for drinks, but I guess you're also paying for the atmosphere and view. Would recommend going here to relax, not the sort of place you'd go to to get drunk, but for a buisness drink or first date.

Jin Bo Law is one of my latest discoveries in London, and what an experience! The views to the City are amazing and probably they will continue to be like that for a long time because it has a big public space in front of it!! One of their waiters, Jonathan, was a cocktail master! He amazed us with a big variety of cocktails, all of them a different surprise! We will definitely come back again this summer and visit Jonathan to try some more of his new creations! ;)

Nice venue, pleasant staff, but the table service is REALLY slow! It's quicker to go and get the drinks yourself at the very crowded bar. As with many in the City, they have a cool venue, but have sacrificed service to profit by not providing the appropriate numbers of staff at peak times. Worth a visit if you don't mind feeling forgotten with every order.
