Pretty good pub in an exclusive area that shows sports and has good food. Ambience is good especially after work as most punters come in.

This is one of my locals when I'm in London and I can fully agree with all the reviews about great bar staff and good food. I usually go in for a plate of wings and to watch the footie. There's always a good range of IPAs on and other beers and the staff are really helpful and welcoming. If you're a tourist looking for a good pub near Bayswater way then you won't go wrong here. Just be aware it does get busy when there's a game on.

Great atmosphere and even though the food was good we had to wait for it 1 hour and 30 minutes because of a mix up with the tickets. We got compensated but only after we brought it up for the fourth time. Otherwise there was a wide range of beer and also a nice selection of ciders.

Very nice pub! Probably the most traditional pub in Kensington and one of the bests in London. They elaborate themselves lovely the dishes. The waitress are always nice and correct. Every time you visit London, King's Head should be one of your stations, if you like to dinner in pubs. Don't forget it! PD: comparing with other pubs and restaurants its relation quality-price is very good, also when booking for a large group (30). PD2: repeating the day after we enjoyed a very tasty little plate (crunchy pieces of fish with ceasar sauce) with berry fruits cider. We like you!

May have been a match night or something but the people already there were not very inviting. Football fans packed the outside area. They gave us no trouble though as we went inside and used the rather large seating area. Beer was well beer nothing exceptional but their food platters were pretty good if not a bit pricey

Decent pub; friendly, helpful barman. But of the 16 beers on tap, four of which are on cask, none is a traditional English bitter. Unfortunately the norm in London pubs nowadays, most of which seem to be focused on providing lagers and multiple kinds of hoppy ales. Lovely traditional London pub in Bayswater. Great atmosphere and friendly. Stumbled upon on returning to our hotel when they were hosting an excellent & talented open mic night. Would recommend a visit! (Hophouse 13 & Peroni on tap among others) Prices very reasonable!!

I went twice during my holiday here in London. It was like being at home. The people working there were always kind with me. The food is quite good, the pub is very cozy but too much crowded especially during football plays or Friday and Saturday evenings.

A pub in Bayswater with a good selection of beers and seems to be quite popular. The food is pretty decent and they have an offer of a pint for a quid with a burger so works out quite well. The only negative is the tiny cubicle in the male toilets.

This pub is old and needs a make over, drinks and food are over priced the food is not that great. It use to be nice about 5 years ago, it use to always be busy we use to go there at least once a week now its once every 3/4 months

To be fair, I must start by saying a friend and I had been traveling the countryside of England and Wales for 2 weeks before arriving in London and had some very wonderful, reasonably priced pub meals in various locations. And, my experience has been that unless you spring for a "haute cuisine" meal, what is available in London (especially in tourist areas like Bayswater) is of lesser quality and higher in price than what is "normal' in the "hinterlands". As far as being a "traditional Victorian pub", the Kings Head looks the part. Wood floors, large wood bar, stocky wood tables and chairs, etc. Though there is not table service, the staff gets a big "thank you" for finding us a place when the pub was crowded. My friend and I both ordered fish and chips. Not the best we had on our trip, but definitely better than some. The chips were rather ordinary and the cider was "mass market". (The local ciders in Wales and Lancashire are something I still dream about!). If this pub were in the "hinterlands" I would give it at best a 3. For London, it is much better than some, and, at least, the atmosphere is authentic. Would definitely return here, given the choices in Bayswater.

Burger was delicious but misleading, it looked like 2 burgers with pulled pork in between but when it arrived it was 1 with a bit of pulled pork on top, slightly disappointing, also lemonade syrup ran out on postmix lemonade and I had to return my drink twice before asking them to check it, bar maid said she didnt drink lemonade so couldn't tell!
