Reviews of Lady of The Grapes
J. E.
Excellent for a nice bottle or glass of wine. They have many options and a vast knowledge if you need a recommendation. We enjoyed a delicious cheese, bread and nut tray. Simple but tasty. A new favorite!
Q. J.
One of my favourite natural wine oasis in central London. The food is always delicious, with enough vegetarians options to keep it interesting at each visit!
M. M.
Great selection of natural wines and excellent food to go with! Super friendly staff always smiling and happy to serve you! I do not want to say more good things as I might get crowded! :) Highly recommended!

I had spotted this place long time ago and I was fascinated by the red frame and intimate candle light atmosphere of the inside I could see through the misty windows . I finally went there yesterday and it was perfect since the very beginning.Althogh it was really busy the staff was incredibly present and attentive.
They have the cutest little loo ever and the dishes (all super tasty ) were served at the right pace.
I regretted not having discovered this gem before.
Superb.

Loved their vision to support women winemakers and their focus on natural wine, the cosiness of the restaurant and the French food, but we felt pushed throughout the dinner to order, consume, pay and go.
From the very beginning, we were reminded that we could only stay for one hour and a half, despite there being empty tables at all times. As soon as I finished my wine they removed my glass, although my partner still had wine. Likewise with any empty plate. I'd recommend that they focus more on making sure that their customers have a good time and are at ease rather than on table rotation.
The nibbles we had with the wine were nice. We had the tartiflette, the jambon blanc and the bread selection with Normand crystal salt butter. Good pairing to the carafe of Beaujolais that we ordered.
Value for money is a bit on the expensive side for a casual bar of this kind, mainly due to the wine. Most wine by the glass is over £10, which removes the fun factor of being able trying different varieties without overthinking it too much.

What a lovely, tucked away, little wine bar.
Extensive range of wines and gins. Cheese board selections to match.
Staff were wonderful and educated and knowledgeable on the wine card.
Expect to pay anywhere from £35 to hundreds for a bottle of wine.
Highly recommended

We happened upon this cozy little spot after a theatre show, and had a lovely experience! The wine (by glass or bottle) is well-priced and high-quality, and the service was fantastic - wait staff are very well-informed and made excellent recommendations across the board. We would love to visit again sometime to try their small bites. All around, a wonderful time.

My favourite wine bar. A gorgeous female owned spot, with a heavy focus on organic and biodynamic wine. Quaint and cosy, with charming bird noises in the bathroom. Highly knowledgeable staff and an incredible friendly vibe.
M. T.
Really nice selection of wines. Food is not amazing, but goes well with wine!

Little gem for wine lovers like me!!! How many times I was rushing on my feet and passing it by without even realizing it was there! I'm happy I had a quieter walk to discover it! I've stop for a glass of a wonderful Gamay from Canada and bought a bottle of Radikon. They have a beautiful wine list for those like me are in love with natural, organic, biodynamic wines. Can't wait to go back and try some of their exquisite dishes!
Well! I did go back indeed and......WONDERFUL!!!! Bravo guys!!! Fantastic vibes..top quality food!!! And service is with 🔥👏
Soon my reviews on my IG @francescofantinel

Came across this place whilst walking through Covent Garden. Great staff who were accommodating and attentive. Delicious food which arrived soon after ordering. The wine is also top notch. One to visit!

A hidden gem located in Covent Garden area.
Very cosy with a good selection of wine and light bites.
It can can a little busy, would recommend booking a table in advance.
Staff are very attentive and have good knowledge of the wines on offer.
Not particularly suitable for large groups.

Very interesting and tasty menu, drinks were excellent as well. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

Had one each of orange, white and red wine here on the weekend, and all three were excellent - the quality radiates right through. On top of that, the location and ambiance are perfect. A superb evening was had.

Refreshingly "un"-Covent Garden. It's small, not too loud and has quirky design features. The wine list is extensive and has an interesting twist to it which the staff will tell you all about. Surprisingly the food is very tasty as well, considering that cheese and charcuterie is probably the main offering people the restaurant initially was planning to pair with their libations. We had the Porc Ragu Mini tacos. Beautifully light and almost flaky "tortillas" and the filling was delicious. The Toulouse sausage was another hit especially since I am a big fan of parsley in all shapes and forms. The gnocchi were slightly roastet in a cheese sauce that accentuated the flavor of the gnocchi instead of overwhelming it. Staff is informed and not in the face. Happy to have found this little charming place. Why 4 stars? Not the food, not the service but the grubby cloth hand towel everyone has to share in the ONE, unisex washroom swiped the 5th star right out of my sky.

Quaint wine bar with a superb selection, excellent for a drink before or after dinner (or in 2019, theatre). Good service too and while space is small the restaurant has put up smart transparent panels around most tables which make it covid-19 safe. Has a decent number of outdoor tables too which must be superb during summer but also handy during covid winter.

We came on my 28th birthday and loved it. The wine was gorgeous and the cheese was some of the best I've tasted (as a side note, the baguette served alongside is also fab). What a treat!

Finally got to visit this wonderful establishment; I think I'm going to make it my new favourite regular place with its delicious food, extensive wine list and warm service
R. S.
Such a great place! We nipped in for a drink recommended by the restaurant we picked for a glass of wine, stayed longer than we thought and really enjoyed the atmosphere! We even had a starter in the and it was delicious! highly recommended!

Nice quaint little wine bar with lots of options for wine and additions to go with.
D. K.
Very neat little place with a great selection of natural wines and small meals. Both the vegetarian and meat dishes were very tasty. Its quite pricy, but worth the money.
L. M.
Excellent bar! Fantastic wine choices and great service.
P. H.
Amazing selection of wines, the food was delicious too and the staff knew the perfect match to your wine. Highly recommend a visit!

A lovely oasis of calm, to enjoy good wine, food and friends. We popped in after seeing 42nd Street. It's a little authentic bit of France. Quiet music playing, people chatting, good wine with cheese, olives and more. Our first time we will be returning.
D. M.
Best wine bar in London, lovely knowledgeable staff, warm setting and great story
S. G.

Great place to enjoy very good wines & food!!! We did enjoyed so much, highly recommended!!!!
S. S.
Nice intimate restaurant, easy going yet sophisticated.
The onion soup was delightful, I wish they could make it as a main size dish! Wine was perfect to the situation. The fondue was a bit of a miss but we will try again 😇
C. W.
The orange wine was absolutely delicious! Thank you Asia for recommending - amazing service from you, and very attentive!
Would highly recommend this establishment for anyone who is looking for a nice cosy date spot in the height of winter. Great focus on naturally made wines with a feminist perspective. Will be sure to be back soon!
T. H.
Beautiful wine selection, fantastic vibe & fabulous service
D. C.
My favourite wine bar in London. The food, the wines are amazing. I would recommend trying their selection of cheese and charcuterie and the chocolate soufflé is to die for!
+++ for the foie gras!
R. A.
A fantastic french wine bar just off Covent Garden. Great selection of wines (to have in or take out), a great menu of tasty food to go with wine...all in a nice venue with a cozy atmosphere inside and a couple if tables outside.
D. P.
Amazing organic winery and restaurant. Great wines and delicious food.
A. W.
Stumbled on this place wandering around Covent Garden on a cold Autumnal evening. Great selection of natural wine, many from female winemakers. A varied selection of small dishes including some delicious cheeses. Owner could not have been more accommodating and was more than happy to advise on wines and chat about their selection. Great serendipitous find. We will definitely be back.
V. M.
I went to Lady of the Grapes because I heard about the female-focussed organic/natural wine list (which was great) - I loved the orange wine! But I was really surprised and delighted just how delicious the food was too. Great spot, lovely service, delicious food and interesting wine!
E. P.
What an amazing place to enjoy a glass of wine after a dinner. Decor has a rustic winery feeling. Service was very pleasant too. Can't wait to come back!
S. J.
We had the most delicious food paired with the perfect wine. The cheese selection was amazing, the cured beef was so unique and the grilled octopus was the best I’ve ever experienced. One of best stops to date!👍
M. K.
Was in Covent Garden and it was raining. Searched Google Maps for recommendations for a wine bar and eventually settled on this. Small, cosy and no loud music. I was alone. Sat at the bar.
Excellent selection of wine by the glasses- a bit weighted towards Italy which is exactly what I wanted. Had 3 glasses of red, all different. The 2 ladies at the bar serving wine were very well informed and made excellent choices for me.
Didn't have any mains. Only 2 starters. Polenta & Comté Fries and Smoked Aubergine. The polenta was excellent.
For dessert, I cheated and two. The Financier and the Creme Brulee- both very good. The helping size of the Creme Brulee was very generous.
Recommended.

We had reservation for 4 people. When we arrived, it turned out they either forgot about it or didn't thought how they are going to seat us. We were seated at a very uncomfortable spot, in a way that we were blocking the way from the kitchen/toilets to the rest of the restaurant. We were moved after a while to a better table. I think that overall, they are not prepared for a full house (at some point, before taking our order, they collected two of our menus because they had run out of it). Although each time I have passed by it, it is full.
This is a quite expensive place to go, but there are not much exciting items on the menu. Wines are interesting and you get a diverse menu for that. But again, these all come at a very high cost.
B. R.
You truly are one lovely lady (of the grapes). Such a polite lady who explains the uniqueness of her grapes, recommends the best flavour for your palette and takes you out of your comfort zone to try something new. My only concern is this lady does overcharge slightly for her grapes.
A.
Very nice service, got all the attention we wanted but at the same time, they were not too intrusive. Good selection of wine, and the staff had a very good knowledge of their wines. We even got a complimentary snack.
G. R.
Lovely wines, a great charcuterie selection and interesting cheese makes this a lovely place to stop. Small plates of interesting things are enough to build an interesting pre theatre dinner but its really all about the wine. A really lovely venue in an area otherwise being overtaken by boring chains
C. T.
I love this place. Ideal for a date. It’s cozy and intimate. The staff is lovely. They’ll advise you on the best wine. Food is ideal to pair with the wine. A hidden gem!
D. F.
First time we have been here, we had dinner here on the 19th January. Chose the place as we had already had lunch and just wanted something lighter in the evening to finish the day off. Great place, very casual with friendly staff, it is crowded but that adds to the charm, Food and wine is wonderful, will definitely be back
L. L.
A game of a place but perhaps not for everyone. One needs to understand and appreciate quality, authenticity and a certain kind of personal service to fully appreciate the experience. If you'd like a quick drink or in a big boisterous group, there are nearby alternatives. But what is achieved in this small intimate place is to be celebrated and cherished. Thank you C!
G. G.
My favourite wine bar in London. I came first for the wine but now I come for lunch and dinner too. The food is magnificent.
J. B.
Lovely bar with an amazing selection of wine. As that place is quite tiny it’s really noisy, uncomfortable to spend a night as couple but with mates it should be 5 stars !
M. V.

(Translated) Onion soup, exquisite, well-made escargot and selection of French cheeses with honey with truffle, all with a wide choice of wines, recommended by the sommelier and spot on! The service was very good both for the friendliness and the waiting times, despite the fact that the place was full. Congratulations!!!
