Quality food. Polite, friendly staff. Nice surroundings. A bit pricey for my taste- 2 kids meals (fish and chips), 1 adult burger + chips, cola and 2 blackcurrant drinks came to £32! Ouch! I may go back, I may not.

Great pub. Good selection of craft beers. Best staff and food in the local area. Very child friendly. Good changing facilities and toilets for little ones. The renovation was very high quality. Other pubs in the area really need to look at the quality of the setup here and take notes.

Came here for the Sunday roast on a recommendation. It didn’t disappoint! Food was absolutely delicious. Staff were really friendly and they brought out a bowl of water for the dog without us asking. We’ll be back!

Quite like the food here the one time we've been so far. Turned away for brunch today though as they don't accept walk ins. Which is fine, but was just done a little rudely which I'm sure isn't the intention but it just didn't feel quite right to us. This was also the feeling the time we did eat, again I'm sure not the intention but felt as if we are little bit of a burden rather than a customer. Appreciate it's hard for pubs trying to get back on their feet after covid, though. So will give it another try in future.

Food was excellent. Service was friendly but RELAXED. We booked a group of adults with 4 young kids. We waited 40 minutes for drinks, and food arrived an hour and a half after the booking started. Parents will know that places that ask if you want small kids food to come ASAP earn a special place in your heart. Having a meal without the chaos of angry hungry small kids is priceless. Places that make the kids wait don't get revisited. Genuine shame because the food really was great, and the service was friendly, but everything took too long. Great servers might have at least asked if the kids wanted bread/a snack or something.

Brilliant brilliant brilliant. It's not just the amazing food. We hired the function room for my wife's birthday party recently. The staff could not have been more helpful. Grace, Max and Pete were all great, attentive to all the guests, really helpful with decorations. The night was amazing - better even than we had hoped for. Really good space with outdoor area too and a large bar, it accommodated 90 people without a hitch. Highly recommend it for big functions. Thank you.

This place made every moment right for customer. I have ordered two burgers sides and wine. One burger arrived, as we had some miss communication ask the barman where is the second one. He said I only placed for one burger, and of this he came back with another one which was excellent and made this journey right and memorable. Super friendly staff and food is amazing!

Great neighborhood pub with a curated craft beer selection and both burgers and tacos on the menu. Staff are friendly and the vibe is easy going. Dogs are welcome. Don't sleep on Taco Tuesday. The brisket add on for the tater tots should be considered seriously.

My family and I went for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was full too bursting. The staff were very friendly, but we waited an hour for our meal. The restaurant was extremely noisy and I could not hear the other 3 members of the family. We were sat adjacent the entrance and a freezing cold rush of air rushed in every time customers entered or left. It seemed the children were all sat here. The food was delicious, sadly for me I would not visit again. The owner needs to install sound deadening on the walls and build an entrance area that will stop the rush of cold air.

2nd roast from here 2 weeks running. Absolutely awesome. The gravy is amazing. Potatoes nice a crispy. Big nice Yorkshire & the veg was all perfect. Best roast in town. Would love it if you could buy stuffing as an extra I'm one of those that would have stuffing with any roast. Packaging is great aswell all in one container apart from the gravy in a pot with a decent lid. & The Yorkshire wrapped in tinfoil to keep crispy. Keep up the good work guys. Absolutely banging

The bar staff are so friendly and welcoming, which makes it such and inviting place to come. The atmosphere and food are great - chips herb salted are 👌🏻. And kid friendly- highly recommend!

Staff are wonderfully friendly, but the food has gone downhill in recent weeks. Today the menu boasted Chicken Liver Parfait and Cheesecake, but both were unavailable when we ordered. The Sunday roast is priced the same as a Fitzrovia pub yet fails to deliver as much value. Parsnips are missing from the photo - they only normally give one or two. Today the gravy was cold. So few potatoes. Such a limited amount of veg. It’s a shame. The lamb itself was great. We have already curtailed our visits to the pub. We’ve gone down from three times a week to one, occasionally two. It can’t be easy to run a pub, but the food needs to get back to previous standards pronto. If it carries on like this, I doubt we will go at all.

Really great day for our friends joint birthday. Lots of outdoor space at the front - while it's no view, it's surprisingly quiet on the road in front (we want on a Saturday too). The food is genuinely good - friends got the various burgers & fries, while I took advantage of the 3 for £10 tacos with a nicely made margarita on the side. They also very kindly made very decent mocktails for my teetotal friend. This is definitely the place for incredibly nice service & people, chilled to slightly debaucherous drinks, tasty food & good fun.

I would love to give it more but I'm afraid it just didn't cut the mustard. All 3 stars are for our burgers and fries which were honestly delicious. We ordered drinks for us and the children, their meals and our starters. My son got a hamburger which was just a patty in a bun. No sauce, no salad and a bun that was so burnt that I had to scrape it as it was bitter and he wouldn't eat it (odd given how good our burgers were) - £7.50 with fries seems pretty steep. After half an hour I chased our starters and the waiter yelped and ran inside as had forgotten to order them (although he wrote it down)? We ended up going in and saying to leave it as it would be too late with the children. We didn't mention that they'd also never got their juice which we'd also ordered as we arrived as it seemed futile. The other odd thing is that they only bring you a tiny tub of condiment to share when you ask. When the children got theirs we had to ask for another set and the same with us, you'd think you'd get a tablespoon of ketchup each rather than to share. The odd thing about the whole service issue was that we were literally the only people in the pub until the end of our meals so not sure why it was such a debacle. Needless to say 12.5% was automatically added to the bill. I would go again for the burgers but that's about it and perhaps after they've been up and running at full capacity a couple months.

Greeter at the door was nice and let us know when our table was ready. It was a nice distance between tables so felt a little safer. The food was great, and would recommend you to go. We only had the roast, so didn't try the burgers. Only warning is that it is a dog friendly pub, so if you are not into that, I wouldn't recommend it.

Went to a suprise 40th birthday party here, 14th August 2021. The birthday ladies fiancè {the organiser} picked this venue randomly. It was a sunny day, and definitely meant to be! Lovely venue at the back in the garden, compliments to the chef the food was amazing. The staff team were polite, pleasant and accommodating. Well done guy's. I definitely will be back !

Went first day the pubs open. Had been once before, but it felt like years ago. Staff were nice and friendly. Member of staff spilt a tray of drinks over my lap, couldn't be more apologetic, gave us drinks to make up for it. Friends had burger, I had some wings and chips, was tasty. I will be going back!

We had some burgers from here this evening, and they were really delicious. I've had a lot of burgers in London and these were definitely in the top tier for me. The herby fries are seasoned just right, and I'd also recommend the Scotch bonnet chilli jam - it's lovely and fruity with a nice amount of heat. We ordered for collection, and the food was there right on time. (Before the pandemic we'd been here a few times (for steak night, and a post-Parkrun brunch) and it was great when you could eat in as well.)

The Leytonstone Tavern is an incredible pub that is made truly brilliant by the people who work there. They make you feel welcome and part of the community whether it's your first time or your fiftieth. I cannot recommend this pub highly enough.

Myself and some friends went for Sunday lunch recently and unanimously thought the food was superb! 10/10. We ordered the Chateaubriand and it was as good, if not better then when I’ve had it in France. My friends had the lamb (which was also fantastic.) Great service by Ian and all the staff. Lovely decor and vibe throughout. Extensive and considered wine list plus a great array of local beers. I will be back. And soon hopefully!

I booked a table here today at short notice as was let down by where I had originally booked. The service was really great and the food was amazing. Their lamb roast dinner was probably the best lamb I have had and the gravy was something else. I can't wait to come back.

Good to see this pub back open (slightly different from it's previous incarnation). Certainly a lot more trendier and has a nice feel to it. Had the Sunday roast (beef) which was a lot better than some of the others in the area. Not sure if they got it wrong but the kids roasts were huge, about 3/4s the size of an adults serving for half the price. Not sure what the atmosphere is like of an evening, so won't give five stars but hopefully will continue as it has started and thrive as a community pub.

We had a really nice meal here, shortly after they opened. As a vegetarian, if I never see another pub veggie burger or risotto it will be too soon, so it was really nice to find two veggie options that were inventive, interesting and well put together - incidentally both were also vegan. My one piece of constructive criticism is that the veggie options were both quite small and didn't entirely fill us up (this issue did not seem to apply to the meat/fish dishes). The desserts were also excellent, beer selection good, and staff were very friendly. All round a great addition to the area.

Great pub just opened in Leytonstone. They offer a brunch from 11 till 4 and dinner from 6pm. They are dog friendly, offer high chairs and an overall friendly vibe. Beer prices are very reasonable, especially for a newly opened pub. Full English for a tenner is hard to beat! Leytonstone tab is what the area had been wanting for a while.

We came here for Sunday lunch and I’m tempted to say it was the best I’ve had in the Leyton/stone area. Alongside the very tasty food was excellent service. The lady serving us couldn’t do enough and made our visit quite personable, chatting away to us as if we were old friends. We were a group of 4 adults and two babies (who obviously made a mess as that’s what babies do) and the pub were so accommodating; they have plenty of high chairs, a changing table in the loo and some children’s books and toys. Needless to say I would recommend the place and will be going back.

Myself(a cleaner who works there) and 4 others had gone there yesterday all the staff are soooo lovely and proffessional the atmosphere was lovely and very relaxed Infact we all stayed for hours having a good time, all the food we ate was amazing complements to the chef (definitely recommend the wild mushrooms on toast) as a starter ive never tasted anything like that before, Fantastic wide range of various drinks on the drinks list. We first checked out the Leytonstone Tavern for brunch about a month ago and it was so delicious that we booked for lunch on Mother’s Day. There is an army of lovely, friendly staff who could not have made us more welcome. A free glass of Prosecco for all Mums 🥂and the food was delicious (the lamb was divine). And as for the Bakewell Tart Cocktail .... deeeeelicious! Looking forward to our next visit already 😊

No ghosts of the Woodhouse here..... However, gastro pubs of this nature are hardly remarkable and you dont come to drink here, but eat with alcohol if you're inter ested. Menu is unadventurous, but well cooked and presented, and variety aplenty if you are a beer drinker. It's light, airy and has plenty going on. Come and try it, and be delighted!
