Outstanding pub, absolutely perfect for a nice quiet sit down from the hustle and bustle of Upper Street, with a great selection of draught beers and spirits. A sprawling menu for the pie fans out there too. And the staff need no mention, as they are all chatty, friendly, welcoming and always ready to listen to you after an exhausting day in London. Highly recommend.

I was happy to find out about the 2 for 1 cocktail deal on Saturdays and loved the board games they offer. I also liked that the place doesn't get too noisy, even when busy. Had a very nice evening here, I'll come back!

Love what they did with this place ! Its a nice and cosy little bar on the main street, they have two for one cocktails all the time, the food menu is a bit limited but their pies are delicious. There's a super cute secret little garden in the back. The staff is always very nice too, I definitely recommend, a little gem in Islington !

I had a amazing time at the Library, great range of drinks such as rum an gin! Beautifully made cocktails(two for one)! Typical cosy London pub and were the only place to let me and my mate in before the Arsenal game (we were away fans).. beer garden on the very small size and would give 5 stars if had sky sports

Hmmm. Now I love Piemimister Pies but about £7.50 (they are about £4 in a deli in Southwold) for a pie and some Gravy and another £2.50 for not alot of mash and a bit more for some peas is a bit much? Still, the location is convenient and the "ambience" (get you Micky Flanagan!) nice when compared to the Spoons a bit down the street.

Always a great place to go when you want to get a beer or a cocktail in the Highbury and Islington area. Cozy and warm environment and such a friendly staff (ask about Flavia, she is the n.1). Super recommended.

Didn't expect it to be Thai, we kind of expected pub grub. Quirky to say the least, food was fantastic. Decided to not blow my socks off and order a slightly less hot dish than I normally do when order g Thai. Duck curry, was delicious. However, the old paying the food side totally separate from the pub side was a bit strange. Cash only, no cards for food.

Always used to be a great place for a drink with friends during quieter times of the evening. Good selection of premium spirits. Most recent visit spoiled by being charged double for a drink I asked the price of immediately beforehand. Quoted single price despite being asked if I wanted a double or single. Won't be visiting again anytime soon.

We hired a private room for a birthday party, around 30 guests and had a lot of fun. The room is charming and spacious. The only thing is the private bar upstairs has no beer on tap.

Dark, in a good way. As you can't see outside from within easily it's the perfect place to lose track of time and soak up the atmosphere with company. Good oriental menu only downsides was that all food orders were transacted in cash only and at the bar there is a good selection of beers an ales but unless you ordinarily pay £5.80 for a 330 ml can you may find the venue pricey :)

Honestly it’s surprisingly good for a pub that’s main selling point seems to be that it’s open very late on Friday and Saturday. I’ve been a few times now and it’s great for a few late night drinks. The beer selection is a bit poor though, which is disappointing but not unexpected. It’s really a three star pub but I’m giving it four stars because it seems to be the only place in the area open after 1am, and the staff are nice.

We had the private room booked upstairs which was perfect for a party of up to 40 standing. We had our own bar and plugged in our own music. The only downside is the minimum spend of £1000 with a £250 deposit which we lost. Otherwise great!

This is a weird place. Service wise is good but it can be tricky to work out who they are trying to attract to the place. Decor is very dark and miserable however it is quiet and not too busy on match days. Bouncers are friendly on match days as are the staff. Does need a bit of modernisation. Beer is fine. They serve Peroni at least.

A nicely decorated bar on Upper Street that also serves tasty Thai food. Service time is normally pretty quick. The decor on the walls often changes as they promote and sell works by various artists. There are occasional live bands as well. Nice pub.

Hello, Well I enjoyed myself very much!!! I don't know what this Ruben guy is talking about, I think he needs to buy a desperado from the corner shop and drink at home. The library , may not look as shiny and as glamorous as when it first opened (fair enough) but charming staff, good playlists and varied music, and tasty and refined cocktails definitely make up for it...and make the whole experience enjoyable. Prices are expensive, true, that said, you won't find anything cheaper in the area..and the 2 cocktails happy hour deal is great! Best regards to all and big up to the sexy library team!!!!

Great pub near Highbury and Islington station that had quick service, a good selection of drinks and good value, tasty Thai food. Perfect if you are going to a gig at Union Chapel as it's just across the road and the food comes really quickly.

Really good authentic thai food at very reasonable price! Food was really hot and fresh and you get loads for your money. Would definitely eat here again. Only downside was our mains arriving just after our starters so we had to send them back.

This place was a firm favourite when i lived in the area - great thai food and good selection of drinks. They have live music nights as well throughout the week. Can get very busy at weekends - but unsurprising due to its location. The thai curry here is gorgeous. Apparently they have a 'secret garden' - but i've never actually seen it!

A late night bar on Upper St, this is a go to place when other bars have shut. Drinks are not cheap, and the music can be over loud. But it is open late and frequented by students and suits alike from Islington, Holloway and further afield.

One of the very few times that I may have had a bit too much to drink, and I will have to blame the place partly for it because the service is just so spot on! I don't think I've ever been to another bar where they can serve cocktails and mojitos as fast as The Library has! A great place to have dinner first, and continue drinking (or start the bar hopping in!) as they have excellent Thai food. Prices are not bad as well compared to the other restaurants and bars alongside The Library, and the atmosphere will most likely warrant a return trip in the same evening! Easily accessible via Highbury & Islington overground or on the Victoria line, The Library is a great place to meet up and have a night out.
