Reviews of Little Green Dragon
M. J.
I went there last Monday for a beer tasting where Christine Cryne talked us through 5 IPAs accompanied with matching cheeses.
This evening there is an open mike session where musicians sing and play.
Last week Morris Men danced outside.
A very friendly local micropub.
R. P.
Great micro pub, interesting selection of beers on cask and keg, including local brews and farther afield. Appeared a very friendly place and when I visited the barman was helpful, knowledge and chatty. They were happy to let me try beers before committing to a pint.
I enjoyed a very pleasant couple of hours and discovered some nice ales which were well kept.
There is a very handy live feed bus departure board and bus stops just outside so quite easy to get to.
A. T.
Always a pleasure here. Good music provided on Wednesday evening, and as always great beer choice.
A. J.
This is superb local bar with a wonderful range of beers and other drinks that are lovingly curated from both local breweries and further afield.
It has won the North London best pub (Camra) and I can see why as it friendly to customers and provides a great experience to spend an afternoon or evening with friends.
We went there on the way to watch our team play at White Hart Lane and it's not around the corner but we'll worth the extra journey and hope to be able to go again soon.
O. A.
Cozy little pub with lovely owners and great selection of beers and ciders
R. M.
Love this place, wish I could spend more time in there. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and customers and interesting selection of ales available
R. D.
I visited the multi-award winning Little Green Dragon Ale House on a late Saturday afternoon. There was a great selection of cask ales & ciders to choose from, (which constantly change.) Also plentiful were craft beers, gin's, wine & soft drinks. Bar snacks were available (& board games!) The interior is rustic, open brick walls, clean, with a welcoming vibe. There were small tables to the front & back of the premises. The atmosphere was great. As close to full as you could probably get on this sunny weekend afternoon, in this 'smallish' but well formed micro pub, full of chatter & good humour. (The clientele diverse in gender, age & ethnicity, children obviously welcome as ther were some in attendance, not sure about dog's) The product was excellent. (The Salted caramel porter, a triumph!) By the time our table of four departed, we had tried all of the four cask ales available & one of the ciders. The service was knowledgeable, efficient & congenial. All in all a real boost to the area (which, whilst not a wasteland for real ale drinkers, is certainly not blessed!) & I can fully understand why they are so popular with CAMRA (& me!).

Cute little real ale local. It's a rare find
G. G.
Great little pub, excellent beer selection
P. N.
One of the best real ale pubs although you can also purchase gin and tonics and wine. The beers are well kept and so taste delicious both keg and barrel beers. The pub does not serve food apart from snacks such as crisps nuts etc. Tables are situated indoors out front and the patio at the back.
D. B.
Very well kept wide selection of beers. Well worth seeking out.
I. D.
Fantastic little bar. Great selection of beers and ciders served by someone who really knows their stuff.
R.
Excellent pub with an ever changing selection of diverse and interesting craft beers. Wide variety of quality gins and tonics too. Dog and family friendly
A. M. G.
On Mason's Corner in Enfield. An Exceptional Nivarna. One of my favourite place's in the world and in life, ever.
That's how it is.... Special.
R. P.
Great little micro-pub. Good selection of beers. Friendly crowd. Good atmos. 👍👍
T. H.
Like a wee tearoom for craft beer and cider. Lovely selection, friendly reception, and just the right size somehow.
G. M.
My husband and I decided to go for a long walk the other night and we ended up stopping for a quick refreshing drink , the owner was so nice and so were the locals who drink there. This is an excellent reasons why we should take more walks in the evenings!
S. S.
I enjoyed the busy music evening last week and enjoyed the beer too. A great friendly atmosphere.
a. H.
Love micropub, winner of CAMRA awards, dog friendly and seating under cover out the front and back, music night is wednesday
C. P.
Great friendly pub with lots of beer options to suit everyone. Love the front seating area, can watch the world go by :-)
J. L.
Possibly the only place in London with cask at the correct temperature
V.
Best little pub in the area. Always a selection of beers n ciders to choose from, they're always changing so check their social media for latest offerings.
Owner seems really friendly as do the locals. Only downside is it's tiny. But that also adds to its quirky charm.
L. T.
I’ve not been to the Pub yet, but the Take Out service used during the Lockdown was first rate.
Perfect delivery of a good Porter plus 6 cans of beer on time and ready to drink.
As fresh as any pint I’ve drunk
S. S.
An absolutely superb little pub. Family run (I think) and an superb asset to the community. The Beers never disappoint and are always changing. Great atmosphere in the evenings and it's always a very pleasant and jovial crowd.
Not really a place for the younger crowd.
J. D.
Such a wonderful little gem, a cultured oasis, in the middle of suburbia. Reminds me of the best ale and folk music places I used to frequent in rural Somerset and Shropshire. Can strongly advise trying some of the local breweries, Beerblefish's historic beers are a particular treat.
F. T.
Very nice and varied selection of ales with rapid service and friendly staff. Cosy beer garden made for a comfy location to enjoy a pint.
J. D.
This little family owned Ale house / micro pub has a great selection of craft beers that our perfectly served. Very welcoming and friendly place to enjoy some great Ales and Ciders. The only good beer House in the neighbourhood just outside London.
J. S.
Amazing little craft beer haven in winchmore hill. Amazing selection of micro breweries including loads of local ale. The service is personal and warm as the bartender is an owner operator. Live music regularly playing, a truly unique pub with nowhere near coming close to completing
Y. P. (.
Great service, great beer! 10/10 would visit again. P. S. Beer garden is cute.
M. H.
It's a great little pub
R. S.
A great place, small but well kept beer selection
J. H.
Love this place. Far too few decent pubs around this area and this is one in the true sense: proper beer and cider at reasonable prices (you won't find lager so don't ask), friendly atmosphere and board games if you want them. Wish them all the best.
H. C.
Friendly staff. Great selection of ales and ciders. Nice bar snacks. Recommend
D.
First visit to this venue. It didn't disappoint. They were hosting an open mic night featuring some lovely local talent. Great vibe, ambience and ale and cider too. Definitely worth a visit.
A. G.
Small is beautiful. Especially when it comes to this place. A real gem. A fine example of local Enterprise and local hospitality. One of the nicest pubs you'll ever visit. Homely, there's plenty to look at. Lots of original pub games too. A truly unique haven.
R. C.
Great beer, great atmosphere and a guaranteed warm welcome. On this particular night Dave Barnes was on slide guitar and harmonica too, so it was even better than usual. Give yourself a treat and give them a go....
A. B.
Perfect! Enfield has been crying out for somewhere like this for ages. Top quality real ale served direct from the cask - there's usually 4 beers on from small independents, one of them a dark beer. Good selection of local wines, interesting ciders, gin and soft drinks for the non beer drinker. Friendly welcome, plenty of chat, board games, comfy sofas, no distracting music/TV... What's not to like? Chilli pickled eggs come recommended too if you're feeling brave.
J. P.
Superb micro pub, run by a friendly and attentive landlord with a keen eye for excellent real ales, ciders and gins. Going to this welcoming pub is always a highlight for me and a faultlessly friendly experience.
K. H.
Excellent beers, gin, ciders. All manner of bottles in the well stocked fridge. Very pleasant venue and friendly landlord. A visit is a must for the discerning palate .. or for a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
S. W.
Excellent little pop up pub. Superb local ales straight from the cask.
A. G.
Nice cozy ale 🏠 with warm atmoshere. Definitely going back for a quick pint.
L. Ž.
Amazing place with a good verity of nicely crafted ales, always buzzing and always feeling welcomed, not fancy for a beer have a glass of vine or need something stronger to booze you up most best quality gin is there too, I will always come back to the Little green 🐉! Highly recommended!!!
M. G.
Fantastic little beer parlour. A fine & constantly changing menu of real ales, lagers, ciders & bottled speciality drinks. Small, cosy, informal & friendly, highly recommended for a visit. Outside seating is available.
J. N.
Absolutely brilliant. CAMRA did right in voting it local ale house of the year.
If you like a range of superb beers from around the country, that are changed from week to week, this is excellent.
Great prices too.
Do try it.
T. S.
An absolutely lovely micropub with great beers and ciders and an amazing atmosphere. The proprietors were super friendly too. Definitely worth a visit!
D. S.
Very nice pub, won pub of the home counties 2018. It's a little micro pub serving a good selection of ales and ciders. Try the smoked lager or salted caramel cider for a different flavour to the norm.
P. M.
Wanted to give a bad review so we can have the place to ourselves. Ale is really good, they have a lager and ciders too, plus selection of gin etc. They do 2 pint take aways which is very handy, gets crowded but everyone is very friendly.
S. R.
Small, quirky, great and varied selection of craft ales and bespoke ciders
D. R.
The best little pub in North London. A fantastic range of beers, and the team behind it have done an excellent job of keeping it COVID safe.
S.
I love it here..a great little place with friendly owners.
If I had to say one negative thing it's the decision to put a couple of couches in. For such a small space they take up too much room where you could get another couple of tables in instead, which would be useful on busier evenings.
H. C.
Lovely little pub with some interesting ales and ciders. We enjoyed a drink outside this evening. Will definitely be back!
A. H.
A welcoming little place with a great ever changing selection of craft beers from the cask. I like the quirky interior with local signs etc. Enjoyable live music too!
S. B.
Always a warm welcome from delightful people. It's like a new circle of friends and the beer is always good. You could go there for the first time and feel you've been there all your life.
N. Z.
What every CAMRA member craves (apart from a decent pint!)!
This little pub at the end of a small row of shops in a suburban area of outer London more resembles tea rooms than an ale house & this adds to its charm! At the back is a small bar & the cheery, helpful staff; behind them an area with beer barrels for whatever is ‘on tap’ that evening (& a small, clean, ‘mixed’ toilet to the other side)!
Prices are very reasonable & there’s a small ever changing selection of real ales & ciders both out of the cask & from a fridge plus a few other drinks like gin etc (but not such a good lager selection if that’s your ‘poison!’)!
It’s cosy with a nice atmosphere, the 329 & 125 busses stop very close by or there’s a minicab office just around the corner, what more could you want...oh & don’t forget you’re CAMRA membership card for a small discount!
R. B.
Nice real ale and cider
J. M.
Great little pub. Typically will have 4 cask lines and two keg. All from smaller/independent brewers. Nice friendly atmosphere.
P. P.
