Reviews of Lyaness
G. A.
The venue and location are so pretty, with a high price, but it's worth it. Been there for the afternoon "tea" as a birthday present. The deal includes salty and sweet bites and 3 drinks plus a final cup of tea. As a drink they give you the option of choosing between cocktails, tea and bubbles. In our case one of the guests could drink alcohol and get they give as the option of have virgin cocktails. I loved it and I hope to go there again

WOW, this place has it all!
From the great looking design of the bar within the Sea Containers hotel, to the friendly and attentive staff and the amazing cocktails, it’s a must try and retry place.
We came with my wife and another couple and got advised from the waiters on drinks and food. Loved the booklet about the cocktails, their inspiration and it did not disappoint. Plus the cocktails actually deliver a tasteful punch.
We’ll be back very soon!

I had the most amazing drinks here last night. To think it was a Sunday night too.
I'm glad we came.
I had multiple cocktails. They have a nice version of Negroni
The vibe here is fantastic. The DJ was excellent, spot on.
Immediately we sat down; we were served 💦 two glasses of water. They continued to top up our glass of water all through the night. I have never experienced this before. How encouraging.

A stunning place to drink, all of the staff were so polite and welcoming, a great chilled vibe with a lot of different drinks available. Prices are fair considering where you are and the views you have too. Very classy and will definitely be returning. Next time will eat in the restaurant and potentially book an overnight stay! Highly recommend.

Came here on a Friday night at 8pm with 3 girlfriend's. It was busy but not packed. We were served by Will who made time to listen to our preferences and suggested elegant, and delicious cocktails. The service was impeccable, Will went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The aesthetic is gorgeous. Music was pleasant (a mix of funk soul jazz and contemporary) audible but not too loud. The view was lovely and seating comfortable. Lighting is soft and flattering. I would definitely recommend.

The Lyaness is my favourite bar in the world. The location, tasteful atmosphere, wonderful staff, and inspired drinks elevate the experience to a level normally reserved for Michelin star dining. Five stars.
V. T.
The bar staff Emmy was amazing I cannot commend her enough. I went here to celebrate a birthday and the experience could not of been any better. Emmy went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience. She was very nice, welcoming and knowledgeable about the different cocktails on the menu making it easier for us to pick.
The drinks was very nice and the views of the Thames was nice.
Definitely recommend for drinks as it's classy but chilled vibe.
Thanks again Emmy

Expensive, cocktails were OK but didn't do it for me unfortunately. Think I chose the wrong thing because I wasn't sure of some of the ingredients and this was whisky tasting, but I didn't realise. It was well presented though. Decor is lovely. Nice ambience.
J. W.
Impressive but relaxing decor. Great menu but more importantly, knowledgeable friendly staff. Our cocktails were excellent. They even came up with an alcohol free negroni which tasted amazing!
E. G.
Superb! Amazing attention to detail. Friendly and professional staff who can't do enough for you. Thoroughly worth paying slightly higher prices when the service and atmosphere is this good! We will be returning!
J. J.
Great location at Sea container Hotel with great view at the River
My Recommendation is the absolutely great Negroni
To create a special ingredients Lyaness Tea-mooth, Lyaness collaborated with Henrietta Lovell of Rare Tea Company. The team take the Lyaness Rare Tea blend and put it through a number of different processes such as fermentation before blending it back together to create an alcoholic ‘vermouth’ made entirely from tea.
The bar is very big, not so cosy but the stuff is great and always on duty for fresh water
R. E.
Really comfortable bar with lovely hosts. The inexplicable drinks menu was beautifully explained with tasting shots and a lovely guy taking us through each base ingredient. It was well worth asking. Good value too and - in addition to the weird and wonderful ones - they made a gorgeous expresso martini.
R. E.
Nice location with a good view over the river. Drinks menu could do with a bigger selection. But I guess most people go for the atmosphere. Friday evening had a dj playing, music level was at a good level so that you could still talk
F. O.
Quick cocktail at the counter, this Winter Spritz was refreshing, alcohol content seemed relatively low. Top venue and staff, expected to be pricey so, if you plan to book a table, better dress up a little
N.
Phenomenal bar crew, nice classic cocktails with a twist and great atmosphere as well as contemporary design of lobby/lounge and bar/restaurant area.
A. R.
Simply outstanding, from the decor to the cocktail list.
Daniel and team are like the friends you've been missing throughout your day and are there to feed you and give you a great time with their concoction; definitely in 50 Best Bars in the world!
P.s. the sexiest mini coupes I've seen in a long time.
C. C.
Great cocktails, lovely service and great atmosphere! Love how every ingredient in the cocktails are so well thought through. From oyster honey to blood curacao, it's all very unique!
R. B.
An absolutely incredible evening. From the welcome at the door, to the chat at the bar, the cocktails and the oysters, everything was absolutely exquisite.
Lucy took exceptional care of us, made a special occasion all the more special, and brought exactly the right energy to our night. Thank you!
I.
We had afternoon tea here with cocktails and tea. This is recommended! Reservations required and only in the weekends.
C. R.
This is truly something to include in your visit to London. Drinks are on point and designed from flavours and not liquors. MC master fizz was my personal favourite of the three different tastes I tried. Great old school hiphop music made the experience even better.. sadly, if you have accompanying children they are not allowed in. Why not given a 5 star review.
A. T.
Amazing cocktails with great service especially at the bar. Lovely views if you get a window seat and the DJ was fab. Can't wait to come back and enjoy it all again. Thanks
S. D.
Great evening trying some interesting flavours in cocktails. A special thanks to Lucy for her warm, engaging and knowledge service. You made the evening even more memorable for us.
D. M.
Absolutely fantastic bar. Delicious and unique cocktails, beautiful river view and a really chilled out atmosphere. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive providing excellent service.
S. E.
Such amazing cocktail ingredients. Super unique and so well balanced. Felt more like a culinary experience than just a cocktail bar.
T. G.
Such a great place - loved the food, service and environment. Would easily choose to have another afternoon tea but keen to check out the full menu and cocktail bar.
D. M.
Loved this bar, it felt very spacious and not crowded at all. We were given complimentary drinks for my birthday.
The service is exemplary, our water was constantly topped up and they were on the ball for when we needed to order more drinks.
We had the best seats in the house and special thanks to James who accommodated us to stay from 6 to indefinitely. Finally left at about 10.30 pm.
A really enjoyable evening for my first visit to London since lockdown ended. Would definately return.u⁷
M. M.
Amazing place, mood and cocktails. The staff is really friendly and professional. Will definitely come back!
M. P.
Cocktails were fantastic, tbh music was vibing too but a little bit too loud for our group. Food was great. Lele was serving out group wonderfully. Thumbs up for him. Overall recommended.
S. R.
Went here for a high tea, which was really good. The savory dishes were perfect, good sizes, fresh ingredients and we'll explained by the staff. The staff was super friendly and professional. The sweet pieces were amazing. Nice variety of things, from chocolate to custard tarts to rose infused mouse. We were well filled at the end. Definitely recommend this place. Small point of improvement, even though the couches are really comfortable I'd have preferred the to have a "normal" restaurant table for easier eating.
S. W.
Cocktail menu slightly disappointing, not many to choose from. Had to ask bar tender to make one up which wasn't on the menu. Decor behind the bar could do with sprucing up as a little bland. No take away boxes if you order food at the bar despite there being loads of people having afternoon tea, so be prepared to stuff your face or leave the food uneaten. They were accomodating sitting us at the bar due to no tables available, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again.
D. P.
Loooooved it! Beautiful aesthetics, the service was impeccable, and for someone that doesn't drink alcohol and orders by saying "surprise me!" they really nailed the order! Will definitely go back!
The only problem was finding it! It's inside a different building, I believe it's called sea containers and we didn't know where to enter from.
Worth mentioning that the cheesecake (vegan) was also exquisite!
Mask for now until you reach the dining area.
S. F.
One of my favourite bars in the world — and with good reason 🥰. This is a very special place with incredible views onto the Thames — whilst sipping on expertly crafted and utterly delicious cocktails and receiving absolutely perfect hospitality.
A.
Service and cocktails make this a great experience each time I've been. I popped in during a walk along the Thames path on a hot day. Had a quick refreshment to help continue my journey and well looked after as usual.
D. P.
This place is quickly becoming a favourite whilst in London. Beautiful setting with a great atmosphere. The bar staff and staff in general are super attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend!
L. V. B.
Loved the fancy tea. Good sandwiches and sweets. The cocktails based on tea were a nice discovery. Prefered the 2 middle cocktails, the melon was a bit disappointing. But overall worth it. Also great location and service!
H. M.
The most friendliest mixologists who cannot do enough that make amazingly delicious cocktails!! Highly recommend!! Nice vibe in the cocktail bar everytime I have visited
W. P.
Absolutely amazing cocktails. Ingredients in drinks you'd never expect, frankly sound gross, but are excellent (I.e. - mushroom-infused liquor, cream of escargot...). As good as the cocktails were the snacks.
Almost the best part about this bar was it didn't feel at all stuffy, unlike many bars you find in the top 50 list. Really enjoyed our time here.
A. A.
Sensational cocktails and a very chill environment. Food is also very good. Nice view of the Thames
K. N.
Good creative cocktails, but I'm not sure if it's really best in the world. Very attentive service and good place to watch the world go by. Bar food is decent but nothing to write home about. They do change their menu every year so I'll visit again to try.
M. D.
We came here for the afternoon tea with 4 cocktails. The food was delicious and beautifully presented The drinks were really good too and there was good variety. The waiters explained the food and drinks each time, however the first course was a little slow to come out.
K. D.
Enjoyed afternoon tea here last week. Me and my 3 friends all ordered the Wild Tea, which is served with 4 cocktails. The food was pretty tasty as were the drinks. L9vely view too. Their only downfall was the service. It was a bit slow and lacked attention. My friend knocked her drink all over the table and we cleaned it all up before anyone came to assist or provide more napkins. They did however replace her drink but i had to ask twice for more napkins to use with our meal. Definately worth a visit before the venue apparently closes in 2019

The Lyaness is the latest bar from the award-winning Mr Lyan (Ryan Chetiyawardana). Situated on the ground floor of the Sea Containers Hotel we visited to try out their Fancy cocktail afternoon tea.
Lyaness aims to bring a cook’s approach to cocktails and flavour creation and focuses on sustainability and innovation. The menu is based on their search and creation of unusual ingredients for their drinks and paired with food.
The electric blue interior and small intimate tables make a lovely setting for afternoon tea.
Their twist on the classic afternoon tea certainly makes it one of the more unique cocktail afternoon tea in London experiences. Each course has a unique ingredient creation with a paired cocktail (£58pp). If you don’t fancy the paired cocktails you can opt for champagne (£48) or no alcohol (£38).
We started off our Fancy Tea with a Glasshouse Spritz: ultra-raspberry, cherry tomato, bubbles. This was a gorgeous baby pink colour with glitter sparkles on the glass. It was light and refreshing – a perfect way to begin the experience. We were also offered a selection of teas including English Breakfast Tea, Earl Grey, and Chamomile Flowers as well as coffee.
The sandwiches and savouries arrived together paired with another cocktail – the Carter Cobbler infinite banana, grey goose, green tea Bianco. The mix was perfect and the flavours subtle.
We loved the selection of sandwiches and savouries which differed from the norm. The roast beef on focaccia, rosemary mayonnaise & rocket was our favourite and the sausage roll were just AMAZING. The devilled eggs were a lovely touch as well. The texture of the Watercress coronation sweet potato & squash, crispy shallots & baby gem on walnut bread was slightly odd but tasty nonetheless.
This was followed by another light cocktail – the Jasmine Gimlet – with purple pineapple, Bombay sapphire, jasmine, citrus Cordia. This was served with pineapple upside down scone, clotted cream and cherry jam.
Although the pineapple upside down scone was great, we do still prefer normal scones as the clotted cream and jam naturally compliments it better. The other sweet treats of sunflower salt tea cake, strawberry & mascarpone Éclair and fruit trifle had intricate detail and were beautifully presented.
The final cocktail was the Cold Brew Palmetto with Havana 3 rum, cold brew tea, peach. This was a lot stronger than the other cocktails but was a good digestif after the meal.
Lyaness offers an amazing cocktail afternoon tea in London and one people will no doubt start raving about. The menu is well thought through and executed and offers a unique twist on the norm. Given cocktails are usually around £13, we also think it is great value! The staff were friendly and enthusiastically told us about each section of the afternoon tea and cocktails.

Great to be visiting on the day that worlds50bestbars announces Dandelyan as 2018's well-deserved winner. The cocktails are refined and delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful. Such a shame this place will close soon, but then again, better go out on a high!
D. K.
Cozy bar with a good selection of cocktails and drinks. No reservations needed, not too busy, friendly personnel. Perfect to enjoy afternoon drinks with views over Thames and St Paul's!
I. C.
Very interesting cocktail menu - like a mini storybook. Each drink comes with a little sexy story which made it a little bit more fun. Unlike American Bar, Dandelyan is number 2, but I personally would rate it higher than American Bar. The environment is much more relaxed in comparison, it's more casual and I like sitting at a proper bar for drinks and here in Dandelyan the bar area is really comfortable.
I had a couple of drinks, some are beautiful, some are rather mild, but they are all good in different ways - All Tomorrow's Parties and Lonely Heart Killers are a bit too mild, try the Chablis, Flower of Five and The Westwood. It was also our first time trying Hendricks Orbium & fell in love!
They do serve some bar bites - try the seared skirt beef! Marinated chicken will not be a repeat order though.
Staffs were all very knowledgeable and friendly. This wonderful hospitality itself has already made us feel much more welcomed than American Bar. Prices are reasonable too - £13 ~ £15 per glass. Will definitely recommend!!
R. R.
This place 100% deserves its place as the worlds best bar. The ambience of the place is comfy and classy at the same time, and I felt welcome the whole time I was there. Staff are extremely friendly and a pleasure to chat with. The cocktails themselves stand out as exceptional - my Old Fashioned was the best I ever had.
P. T.
Staff is very friendly and professional.
The drinks and the view are great.
And finally the food is very good, so everything you need for good evening
D. Z.
Great atmosphere and a beautiful location! Drinks menu is pretty solid 🔥
C.
Love the creativeness of the cocktail menu. One of those quiet little gems in London not a packed tourist trap. Beautiful interior with a great view of st pauls. Deserving of every award it has.
S. L.
Very good cocktails from Mr Lyan in a great setting. The japanese inspired bar food is ok
D. D.
Bartender Adrian was incredibly friendly throughout our evening and not only made fantastic cocktails, but explained the process and helped me learn some tips to perfect making my own Ramos Gin Fizz.

Decided to visit here on the recommendation of a friend. We arrived on a early Saturday evening without booking ahead of time. They were able to seat us at the bar but we were very lucky to get them as all tables were fully booked. The hotel its is beautiful and bar is gorgeous. The view is amazing. Cocktail menu is interesting to say the least. All 6 cocktails we tried of the list were delicious and worth the try. All the staff were friendly and helpful and didn't turn their nose up when we had no reservation and no need get too dressed up.
a. S.
Been there in February when it was still Dandelyan. Last night I visited it again, no decrease in the quality of service, service is still on point. The colour scheme of the interior has changed as well as the menu, I think. Cocktails are good, I understand they're focusing on the drink itself which is good. However, I wish they were more creative with the garnish.
W. L.
This place does not need any more acclaim, but it was easily the best bar we went to in London, one of our favorite bar experiences ever. Our bartender, Daniel, was absolutely outstanding.
U.
Perfect location for great cocktails, good views, and really good background music. Great vibes all around. Will definitely be going here again
L. Y.
What a place !
I went there with some friends for a reunite
We booked for a afternoon tea between girls
First it was the only place to accept a reservation for Easter
Second it was the only affordable menu (no rise for Easter special menu)
The service is extremely efficient and friendly
The savories and sweets are very good and delicate
A pure pleasure in a very nice atmosphere
O. O.
We’ve been here for the afternoon tea and we cannot recommend it enough. The staff was super welcoming and nice, the cocktails, snacks and the tea were all superb. Don’t forget to reserve a place in advance, as there are no walk-ins for the tea. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely come again
S. M. S.
Lovely views and decor. Very attentive service but drinks are pricey for what they are, but nice for the odd visit.

Please like if you find my review helpful.
Dandelyan occupies the ground floor of the new Mondrian and is worth visiting for the Tom Dixon design alone — all sumptuous velvet armchairs and leather banquettes in jewel tones arranged generously along the length of a smart green marble bar — which, paired with a river view, makes for a rather special setting. This rather special setting is reflected in the pricing — cocktails are £12.50-£13.50 — although not sky-high relative to other hotel bars. Expecting to be turned away at 6pm on a Friday, we were instead shown by a friendly hostess to a prime people-watching spot at the standing bar.
Order: The cocktail menu is split into cereal, vegetal, mineral and floral. Short and sweet but with a welcome tartness was the Dry-hopped gimlet: a punchy mix of Mr Lyan gin, house lime cordial and hops. The Southbank, a long rum and grapefruit drink, was less successful, but ante was upped again by the Yellow & Green Fizz: a zingy concoction of Merlet pear liqueur, grass and yuzu vinegar charged with Perrier-Jouet.
Good for: Dates — it's a sexy place, despite being popular with male-heavy groups of suits looking for leg after work.
By the way: There's plenty else to explore in the Mondrian: Tom Dixon's majestic copper hull reception, a huge spa downstairs, Sea Containers restaurant next door, and some top London lavs.
J. R.
Fantastic cocktail bar located in the Mondrian Hotel on the banks of the Thames. Staff were friendly and attentive and the cocktails were well balanced, full of flavour and well presented. Great for a date night if you're looking to impress that special someone!
A. H.
Awesome service and some great cocktails on offer. The pricing is decent considering the location. Views rock. Definitely the best!!
Love the list of whiskies available. There are many Scottish, Irish and Japanese ones (definitely recommend Nikka Coffey).
C. F.
New queen in the cocktail jungle. But I think they’re still finding its footing after the recent change from Dandelyan (which imo totally deserved its best bar in the world title). Menu is a bit less adventurous, less philosophical, less choices, less eye-opening and definitely less photogenic (but that might be a point they’re trying to make). Changes in decor are pretty slight with overall similar aesthetics and layout. Servers too quick to take the menu away, since reading every description is part of the fun.
S.
Great cocktails for a reasonable price. Extremely knowledgeable staff (especially the wait staff) who will lead you through all the drink and ingredients upon request.
M. Y. N.
Lives up to the hype of being one of the best cocktail bars around. Their use of botanicals is very interesting and Very enjoyable. A must visit if you fancy your drinks.
H. J.
Amazing cocktail bar. The drinks are delicious with amazing garnishes. It was really busy but we managed to get a table. We had many drinks and all were awesome. I loved it. Highly recommended place for a fancy cocktail.
M. P.
Wow. Such a nice bar. Great views of the river (though it was rainy and dark that evening so it wasn't as nice as it could have been) and amazing cocktails. Some are unique concoctions, others are novel spins on standards (I actually surprised myself and did the latter, including a very tasty version of an old fashioned, pictured below). Can't believe they're closing, go try before they close!
A. M.
I can't decide what makes this such a fabulous place. Is it the wonderful stuff, the stunning views, or incredible cocktails? I guess I'll just have to go back and try again.
A. R.
JUST F*#@ING GO HERE. I don't know if it's possible to be too effusive in praise of this gem, in a city littered with fantastic bars - this is the one I came back to despite it being quite a distance from anywhere else I was exploring. This is the bar that will forever be etched in my memory as an incredible exploration of ingredients, design, service, and atmosphere. The world will lose something incredible when this bar closes in March 2019, so if you're reading this before then and you're in London, go here. Whatever it may take, go here
D. W.
Fantastic cocktails - far more interesting than pretty much every other place in town. It's a really nicely done bar, quite expensive though!
Staff are generally really good, and strike a good balance between being present, but not over the top.
J. H.
Had afternooon tea in the Dandelyan ... very nice! One had the cocktail options which had 4 cocktails. Service was good. I liked how the staff sat down each time to explain what each item was or what was in the cocktail!
D. M.
Just a genuinely incredible bar. The drinks are original and delicious. So often bars will put novelty above the actual drink (looking at you Gibson), but Dandelyan knows it's all about the drink. They experiment with flavours and ingredients that wouldn't usually be used together and let that drink speak for itself - no ridiculous garneshes that add nothing but pretention.
The Koji Hardshake is one of the best cocktails I've ever had, as was the discountinued Sweetheart Sazerac, and it - along with Dandelyan will be missed sorely.
D. L.
Feeling like cocktails and looking for quality/consistency... Dandelyan is the place! Service is wonderful. I sat by the bar last weekend and the bartenders were all very attentive and friendly. I had 2 margaritas made by 2 different bartenders. The taste was the same and the balance of all the concoctions was exceptional. I can only rave about this place as it's my favorite cocktail bar that checks all the boxes.
N. P.
We had a wonderful evening served by Rich Patchouli. A great waiter, who knew his drinks! We'll come back again!
Z. S.
Been 3 out of the last 4 weeks. Cannot recommend it enough. Staff elevate a beautiful menu to an entirely new level
M. S.
One of the best bars I've ever been to. Staff was excellent and took the job of helping us selecting the right cocktail very seriously. Very good bar nibbles as well. It was also a good place for people watching.
E. M.
We had a very attentive bartender Adrian! (Sorry if I Misspelled). He was great and we had just gotten married and gave us a nice treat for our celebration. The cocktails were delicious as well both on menu and classic cocktails. Will definitely be coming back again when we are in London.
C. V.
The best cocktails!! Our waitress was amazing. So knowledgeable. Try the cereal Martini!!
M. M.
World best bar 2018 for a reason. Excellent bartenders, tasty drinks. Quite a busy place, especially in the evenings, but that makes atmosphere even better. Many seats at the bar counter and relatively low prices make this place a 'must-visit' for every bar-lover
M. A. P.
Great selection of cocktails and Japanese whiskeys. Ask to get the waiter called Richard if you can. He's a certified champ and connoisseur! Plus generally great to have at your side when indulging in good drinks.
A. V.
Very interesting cocktail bar, with inventive ingredients. Had the white sbagliato (very refreshing) and the painkiller (very alcohol forward). The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The view is nice too. Recommend checking this place out.
L. T.
Amazing cocktails, great atmosphere. I've ordered a different cocktail every time and I've enjoyed every single one. If you're a party of 4 or more, make a booking.
M. P.
Super stylish bar with swoon-inducing green marble bar top, dress to match and take your most dapper plus 1!
Really friendly and amenable staff, ready and over-willing to have a chat, while making a cocktail exactly as you want it.
C. N.
Amazing! Both cocktails and staff. You gotta try it! Best bar experience in my life.
R. N.
The staff were very kind and hospitable to us. Made my cousin's 18th more special. Also, the bar staff are fantastic. Very friendly and professional. The vibe is really relaxed and chilled, with good lighting, good facilities, etc. Would highly recommend for drinks if passing by.
A. R.
Very nice drinks we came here for New Year’s Eve. The staff are welcoming and lovely.
M. D. L.
Visited with 2 friends on a Thursday evening. Very nice location, gorgeous place, but the greatest part of the whole visit was the service: outstanding, can't describe it any differently!
To be honest the whole team was amazing, but Daniel really stood out. He made sure we were well looked after throughout the evening, came up with very helpful suggestions when we didn't know what to order, was super friendly but never intrusive. Both his enthusiasm and customer service are truly impressive. We also saw him interact with other customers, and I'm sure if they left a review, it'd be very much similar to this one!!
The atmosphere was just perfect.
Following this experience, Lyaness is officially our new favourite place :) we look forward to coming back!
C. D.
Friendly staff, great drinks and a nice location. Expensive obviously but not the most I’ve ever paid (£11-13 a cocktail maybe)
Y. L.
Impressive cocktail menu! Even mocktails taste just amazing (according to mum who cant doesn’t drink...) great atmosphere and friendly staff :)
C. C.
Very good cocktails, amazing staff, good atmosphere and a place to definitely go back.
Loved the staff, very attentive and knowledgeable!
p.
Went for the afternoon tea and it was a great experience, the food was great and the cocktails even better. Great spot overlooking the river thames.
R. H.
Incredible cocktails and wonderful staff - amazing experience for the adventurous!
B. Z.
Fantastic cocktails, lovely food and great service. A massive improvement from Dandelyan which was a disappointment. Lyaness is fresh and inventive when it comes to the drinks, highly recommended.
K. E.
The venue is beautiful, but mostly the team is so knowledgeable and kind, that you could spend every day there.
Beautiful and tasty cocktails too!
J. A.
The cocktails menu is a bit daunting, but you can always ask for help from the bartenders. We had wonderful oysters and roasted peppers as well as inventive cocktails. I'd recommend sitting by the windows for people-watching.
c. S.
Had an amazing last night at the Sea Containers all thanks to Will the floor manager, he spent time to speak to us, when we returned from dinner he had a small glass of fizz for us, he then spoke to us about our mini-moon, organised a congratulations cake at gone 10pm and a free cocktail to end the night.
He was truly amazing from beginning to the end of the night and checked in regularly. A true asset to the lyaness bar.
The team seemed happy and supportive to everyone, great atmosphere and music, well worth a visit!
Thank you for making our last night (18/07/21) one to remember, perfect way to continue our mini-moon!
M. G.
A great place for couples and groups with excellent selection of drinks and cocktails with great views
M. T.
Great looking bar, great cocktails and great staff. My only complaint is the cocktail menu itself is quite small, around 8 drinks? Maybe it was a covid limited menu? I'm sure they can make up anything you'd ask for, but a larger curated cocktail menu would be a bonus for me.
M. D.
This place never disappoints and every creation surprises me. Took mom and sister to afternoon tea here too, and we spent hours enjoy the food, cocktails and view. Always perfect!
M. S.
Nice venue, but let down by slow service and our full party not being allowed in the bar, when we had booked (we ended up having our drinks in the lobby area).
A. R.
Good Bar, Kind Bar tenders, perfect drinks
All in all we had a really good night and it's just recommendable
S. V.
Had one of the best gin based Bloody Mary's I have ever tasted, the staff are friendly and experienced, but also had a good sense of humour, prices are in the higher bracket, but you get what you pay for in service and quality, you are topped up with complimentary glasses of water as well, would highly recommend!
J. S.
Really interesting cocktails. With good service. The view of the city is pretty nice from the inside.
A. L.
Lovely bar to relax for a few drinks after work. We didn't book but we were seated in a nice spot. Drinks menu very good, was hard to chose but had an oyster launch, delish. Also had burrata and truffle Mac and cheese which was ok
A. S.
Great service and welcome. Interesting cocktails although some of the descriptions were a bit difficult to make sense of as they were slightly pompous! Overall a really lovely evening and will return.
H. H.
Love the atmosphere and the view! The drinks are delicious and super friendly&professional staff, as well as the bartenders! Highly recommended!
G. S.
Stopped for a drink and had a good experience so hoping to try the resturant one of these days.
J. O.
Amazing night for me and my Fiancé on her birthday. Great table service, beautiful atmosphere.
T. Ď.
One of the best cocktail bars I've been to in London. Attentive and kind staff, amazing cocktails, wonderful atmosphere. There's not a one thing to complain about. Definitely will come back!
S. W.
What an amazing cocktail bar, my only regret is that I couldn't drink all of the menu.
Shhhh don't ask about the secret menu.
L. W.
Had read various articles about this bar and were excited to visit to try the cocktails- we were not disappointed! Amazing cocktails and beautiful atmosphere with a lovely riverside view. The waitress/bartender Fabiola was friendly, professional and amazing she explained all of the cocktails and the interesting infusion techniques used - very impressive. We only visited for an aperitif cocktail but will definitely be back again to try more.
J. B.
Great bartenders and service. The cocktails were lovely. And the decor of the whole place is so nice.
a.
Absolutely one of my favourite places in London to go for a cocktail, I cannot recommend it enough
C. L.
Nice cocktails and a very comfortable bar!
T. S.
Great and relaxed atmosphere, fun and knowledgeable staff and excellent cocktails!
P. S.
Amazing.. outstanding quality.
Just a suggestion if you will be next customer... if you are going to eat, choose food according with drinks and vice versa because would be a shame do not amplify tastes with the right harmony! (at first time I was silly on that :P)
Why don't put food suggestions on the great drink map that is on the drink list? ;)
P. B.
Lovely cocktail bar on the Southbank. Nice range of cocktails, wine and beer served by friendly & attentive staff. Would recommend 👍
J. H.
Lovely posh place with wide variety of cocktails just along the Thames.
B. K.
Perhaps the hype muted my reaction to this place. The cocktails were pleasant, not too intrepid, and dare I say forgettable? The food was the real winner here. The squid was delectable.
S. O.
The atmosphere is incredible and the cocktail perfectly balanced
S. E.
Great spot for a chat and a cocktail. Top top bar. Definitely coming back
C. G.
Good vibes, amazing Thames views for a cocktail in central London
J. H.
Very unique cocktails and relaxed atmosphere.
D.
Awesome friendly staff and banging cocktails. Venues not too shabby either
A.
Great service and even greater cocktails
P. C. R.
Good cocktails, nice atmosphere, a bit crowded, older crowd (40+), service was ok but nothing major (forgot to bring water and I had to ask the waiters to take my order twice).
D. T.
Absolutely amazing cocktail bar! The staff is incredibly helpful and attentive. Cocktails are outstanding, food is also very good and the view on the Thames is a great plus! And although the inside looks very fancy, the vibe is quite relaxed. Definitely one of my favorite bars in London!
R. N.
The cocktails are great, the staff is gorgeous, the view is mesmerising. It is just the perfect place for a night out with my girls.
K. J.
I loved Dandelyon and it was a regular haunt for us for a couple years. We were so excited to try the reboot with Lyaness, but we're a bit disappointed. We spent a not unexpected £60 on 4 rather basic drinks, but the service was not the usual standard (no water, drinks not explained, etc.) and the place seemed a bit chaotic. That said, times are strange in this pandemic and everyone in hospitality is trying to survive, so maybe its a reflection of that. However the decor is definitely not as good as it was, the blue feeling quite cold and unispired. I was glad to see some of reflective table still around as it's one of the most unique and beautiful design features.
Will you have a nice time and decent drink? Absolutely, maybe even impress someone who doesn't frequent London lounges. Will you get the experience you had when it was Lyaness? Sadly not at all.
R. G.
Nice atmosphere with lovely cocktails and attentive staff
S. T.
Many greatt collection of drinks. Location is very convenient, yet I found it a little overpriced compared to quantities.
J. W.
Relaxed - comfy and excellent service . Perfect for get together drinks before cinema !
B. C.
Very nice cocktail bar with lovely views of the river and the North Bank. The cocktail menu is constructed around a set of homemade liquors around which their cocktails revolve. This is a great idea, and the cocktails are delicious. Of the waitress had explained it it would've been easier to figure out! Vibe is nice and relaxed although it does feel a bit "hotely"
R. S.
Great cocktails. Lele really looked after us, thank you
A. L.
Very long waiting time - the service was very very slow. But the place is quite pretty and cockails are great!
T. S.
A beautiful place in a fantastic location.
Excellent bar staff and service.
Would definitely recommend and return.
Y. C.
Very busy place and I love the creative menu.
J. F.
Dropped in for drink and a snack - bit pricey but staff fun and friendly, cocktails very innovative.
R. W.
Afternoon tea
I. O.
Best cocktails! Friendly staff.
H. H.
Love the atmosphere and the view! The drinks are delicious and super friendly&professional staff, as well as the bartenders! Highly recommended!
R. N.
The staff were very kind and hospitable to us. Made my cousin's 18th more special. Also, the bar staff are fantastic. Very friendly and professional. The vibe is really relaxed and chilled, with good lighting, good facilities, etc. Would highly recommend for drinks if passing by.
C. M.
Great bar for drinks ....and finger food
T. B.
Managed to get a late night drink here as a walk in, excellent cocktails and service! Cool vibe!
L. T.
Loved it! Enjoyed 2 visits during our stay at Sea Containers. Great service
P. B.
Lovely cocktail bar on the Southbank. Nice range of cocktails, wine and beer served by friendly & attentive staff. Would recommend 👍
E. S.
This place is perfect for a drink after a long day. It is spacious and has great views, but most importantly the bar staff are extremely friendly and helpful. If you tell Simone and Luke what you like they will always deliver the most surprising and delightful cocktail. Try them!
M. “. P.
It's a nice spot for cocktails by the river. We were able to get a table as walk ins on a lovely sunny day. The menu is different but the waiters are on hand and happy to help. Service was quick as well.
K. S.
I went with a group of friends here to celebrate a low-key birthday and it was great. The interior is very nice and the views across the Thames are fantastic. The place also works for people watching as the Queen's Walk runs right in front of the large windows.
The cocktails were quite inventive and I liked the way they were presented in the menu and in real life. Naturally, quite tasty as well. The staff were attentive and polite and they even supplied us with a portable charger for our phones!
I definitely recommend the visit.
J. F.
Dropped in for drink and a snack - bit pricey but staff fun and friendly, cocktails very innovative.
R. F.
Nice bar with few selection of great food and excellent view of riverside.
L. M.
Wonderful cocktail bar! I had a great experience here.
The bar is located inside the Mondrian Hotel. You may enter from the river side or the street. The atmosphere was fun. The design looks beautiful and at time we went there was fun music in the background.
The service was attentive and great in general.
We ordered several cocktails and each one of them was special and really tasty!
J. A.
Pricey, so definitely a treat. But utterly worth it, if you're after carefully mixed ingredients and unusual flavours. We managed to get a seat with a river view and our waiter was more than happy to recommend a few drinks based on our taste. Go with a group and try a few different cocktails!
C. F.
Custom cocktails are OK, but nothing special, seemed overly complicated without being anything groundbreaking or amazingly tasty. Sticking to traditional cocktails ultimately proved more satisfying. View from the restaurant on a sunny/clear day across the Thames would be beautiful, on a rainy night is not quite as great but pretty none the less.
P. J.
Great cocktails - first stop on a tour of a few highly rated cocktail bars, but should've just stayed here!
Atmosphere was very welcoming and our waitress was very friendly without being overbearing.
The cocktails themselves were delicious with a great unique selection - and reasonably priced, especially compared with the competition - around £12-£14.
Highly recommended!
L. C.
Fab place for drinks with friends. Great vibe & ambience.
M. M.
Simply gorgeous cocktails and interior
L. F.
If you're looking for a post dinner cocktail experience this one is great! Drinks are priced quite on the high side, but....the quality and the tailored experience is what it's all about. If you're looking for a cheap drink in a regular bar this isnt for you. Beautiful cocktails and great wait staff. It started pouring midway through our visit towards midnight and they gave us great reccomendations on where to continue our night. If you're from out of town it's a good place to visit!
B. M.
Good place to start your evening with nice cocktails and atmosphere. The ceviche taco is delicious!!
C. P.
Fantastic cocktails and excellent service. Truly one of the best bars in the world.
T. O.
Nice place, not too busy thanks to their policy if having to have a table or seat, no loitering about. Great location by the river too.
N.
Loved at the yummy cocktails at this chic bar overlooking the Thames! While not a massive selection of drinks, everything on the menu is delicious and interesting. The interior with the pink velvet sofas and gold accents is a millennial dream. Favourite drink here is Lady Luck.
J. K.
The cocktails here are great but to be honest it's the staff that makes the place stand out. They have a proper chat with you and help create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Beautiful location on the Thames. Perfect venue for a treat.
S. T.
We went for the Wyld Afternoon Tea and it was amazing. The cocktails and the food worked together perfectly. Service was great, friendly and attentive and more than happy to answer any questions, a really good team there. Stayed on for an extra hour after we finished our tea for a couple of cocktails which were also amazing. The place deserves its reputation. Only sad thing is it's closing soon...
A. v. B.
We came here after Rumpus Room's was too busy. Great alternative and we got a walk in seat for an hour. We only tried the cocktails, but those were very nice. Great spot for a few cocktails by the river for sure. Do expect to spend slightly more on your cocktails compared to your average local cocktail place.
B. S. P.
Great bar and decor. Drinks weren't very much too my liking but I suppose it depends on what you fancy.
D. L.
5 *s all the way! We love this place. The staff are incredible (recommend sitting at the bar and having a chat with them) and the drinks are phenomenal. Each one has been so intensely thought about and specially constructed to display a concept, and the flavour absolutely reflects that. The atmosphere is lovely-- it's the place we take guests when we want to impress! Nibbles are also super tasty. It's not a cheap place though-- it's a place you go if you appreciate flavour profiles and have a respect for mixology. If you're looking for affordable cocktails, look elsewhere.
C. B.
Great cocktails for decent prices in the centre of London. Lovely views. We didn't book a seat though and when we got there it was full so we stood at the bar. When people started to leave though we'd have appreciated the staff to let us know that we could sit down! We were stood up for a while confused whether it was okay or not. The waiting staff said they'd check but didn't get back to us. It was only until the barman asked why we were standing that we sat at the bar. Aside from that it's an interesting spot for a drink.
R. S.
Team Lyan are back and brilliant as ever. Always happy to accommodate, I was advised to go with the wickedly refreshing White Sbagliato (pictured) as a vegan friendly option.
E. T.
This is one of the best cocktail bars in London and they really live up to their name. The interior is slightly bland due to it being in a hotel however the drinks are superb. The waiters know the menus inside out and are happy to talk you through the history of the drinks and the menu and also help you choose a drink. You can't really go wrong with any of the cocktails on this menu - great tasting cocktails perfect for an after work or pre-dinner drink with a view of the river.
P. W.
What a find! Great service and drinks
The waiting staff were brilliant, and a nice touch water provided and topped up.
We had drinks off the menu and the vodka martini is too die for.
Will. Ake a beeline for this place.next time we are in London
E. b.
Apparently the best bar in the world, somebody told me this. It is really nice but wouldn't say the best in the world. The bar tenders are really good, you can tell them what flavours you like and they can make a cocktail for you. We did this and the nailed it!
The decoration is beautiful
N. L.
We went for the Wyld tea on Saturday and the menu is truly amazing, cocktails were beautifully matched to the food. A very different afternoon tea experience with views over the river. However, it was let down by the service. The man who met us at the front to confirm our booking took us to a table on the edge of 2 corner sofas where we were to be 'perched uncomfortably, for our tea experience. I asked politely if we could move to a corner seat which had been set up for 2 to be told abruptly 'No', 'no it isn't specifically reserved' but no we couldn't move. A couple of ladies arrived at that table and sat after us.
Shocked at his reaction to my request, I asked our waitress, Georgia, whether a small table could be fitted into the corner by the window to mirror the set up on the other side, explaining the previous experience with the man. She said this was not possible as the table doesn't fit. Half an hour later, 2 ladies were seated at a table which miraculously was fitted into the space I had requested!
Georgia was very pleasant for the rest of the service. However the man whose name I was not allowed to take, served us one cocktail which he placed on our table and stated the ingredients. This same cocktail he served to the tables around us and he managed to crouch down so he was eye level with them to explain how the ingredients interacted with each other and the best way to enjoy the cocktail.
I'm not sure what made us different to the other customers, but clearly the customer service was not uniform and really let down a beautiful experience in every other way.
P. F.
Great drinks, good service but more expectations! Drinks were nice but very simple!
J. L.
Beautiful bar on the ground floor facing the River Thames. Amazing cocktails and not too expensive! I couldn't take sugar and alcohol so they custom made a drink for me that was simply divine! And only £5. Very good service. I'm still thinking about the meatballs I ordered which were really yummy, although I must say, the Mondrian fries were pretty terribly fried and were too soggy.
h. s.
Lovely hotel bar with a great view. The cocktails are tasty and unusual with the ingredients differing from the norm. Could not fault the service. However I heard the bartender say that the cocktails are pre mixed which is a little disappointing as this is something you’d find at Las Iguanas but the prices are, obviously, a lot higher. If you like to see what goes into your drink then don’t order a cocktail.
T. S.
Best bar tender (Rachelle or Rocky, as she's known) who has complete knowledge of everything whisky and exceptional perception to the age old "surprise me" request. Some of the best cocktails I've ever had! Nice drink on arrival, too.
S. G.
I chose Dandelyan for afternoon tea because of the cocktail pairings. I felt like most cocktails were too sweet. I like more tart, spirit forward drink. Some in my party thought the salmon and goat cheese were too strong. The desserts were beautiful, but we're not well constructed for most palettes. Some in my party felt that ones were too tart or too light on flavor. The tea was wonderful and served with milk, white and raw sugar. The decor is fantastic. Overall, a wild pairing of things to watch the world go by on the Thames!
C.
Came here for my partners birthday after a meal. An amazing view, atmosphere, great music and lovely staff. Fantastic range of drinks and some amazing cocktails to offer. We enquired for a window seat and we got one! Amazing place will definitely come again
M. S.
Had a really nice Afternoon Tea here with some family that were visiting London. There are 3 options - with cocktails, with champagne, or boozeless. As Lyaness is known for cocktails - would definitely recommend to go with that. Really unique flavours. The staff are friendly and super knowledgeable about the menu.
A. L.
Attentive staff that really try to help you with ordering the right cocktail. Great location also on the Southbank. The decor once you are inside is actually not bad at all and very comfortable. The bar food menu is actually the same as The Sea Containers restaurant me to it and actually it's very good. The reason I can't give it five star is that I didn't quite find the cocktails to be all that memorable. Not bad for sure but doesn't stick in the mind.
M. A. J.
Nice atmosphere and great service. But cocktails were all too on the sweet side, which is not exactly what I like. Even after I told the waiter I would like a bitter cocktail, he suggested one drink that had nothing really bitter in it once it came. Quite disappointing for such an expensive bar. It's more a place to see and be seen than a serious cocktail place. Not really sure why it has been listed 2nd best bar in the world this year. Not excited to go back. I can get better cocktails somewhere else, sorry.
N. T.
A very pleasant way to spend an afternoon! Following a superb lunch, we had booked a table at Lyaness to have a drink afterwards. We were not disappointed. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, a we wiled away several hoursdrinkiing a chatting, all with an excellent view (especially since it is on the ground floor) of St. Paul's and the river. Well worth a try!
L. W.
Came here with friends for the excellent and intriguing cocktail menu and it did not disappoint. The food menu is also delicious and the staff are attentive and helpful. You will definitely have to pay good money (£12+ for cocktails) but the experience is worth it.
A.
Briefly went in for a drink. They had my fave gin so I was happy. Didn't get the sense of genuineness though. It's nice enough but the people seem false and there are a lot of single people just drinking at the bar alone, it's like a pick up joint. Drank up quick and got out and down to the spa and then room.
S. T.
I had the floradora cocktail... really tasty but for the price I would expect better presentation (straight glass with a straw and that was it!). Fantastic whiskey menu and really really nice relaxed and swanky place to be. Will definitely be back.
B. C.
Good service, comfortable and spacious. Boring cocktails, interesting choice of ingredients but the result not as expected.
J. B.
Fabulous unique cocktails, and the prices are actually pretty reasonable for a place like this in London. Extra credit for having good non-alcoholic options. I also appreciate that they let us in even though we were just kind of wandering and not exactly dressed for a night out.
S. S.
Went there for an afternoon tea. The food was good and so was the tea but I'd expect the staff to be more friendly and attentive. The waiter found it hard somehow to understand our order, not the best English, I asked for vegetarian option and was given sausage! Apparently since I'm pescaterian sausage is ok???!! So I asked if a pig was a fish? Well, anyways... after the savoury part was over and before the cakes arrived we were not offered another tea, we had to ask for it. It took them quite some time to bring over a high chair. Overall we enjoyed our time there, the food was good quality but I'd def improve the customer service as since this is a fancy place I'd expect fantastic service and very friendly staff.
M. F.
This is supposed to be the best bar in the world according to some sort of list. I don't really know what to say! The drinks are ok; the place is terribly busy, there is no ambience or place to sit. Eventually I was given a table but I was sternly reminded that I needed to vacate it in 1 hour 15 minutes. I think place like this tend to become victims of their own success. I'm not in a rush to go back. There are many other places in London which have comparable drinks or better and provide you with more comfortable seating and friendlier service.
P. D.
This is my favourite bar in London. It's so welcoming and the staff are all really knowledgeable and friendly. Every drink I've had has been incredible because the bar staff really care about what you like and suggest drinks based on this. Cannot recommend it enough.
M. B.
Lovely cocktail bar with beautiful stationary. The drinks sound exciting but are quite mediocre given the price. I'd go here for a nice date or fun evening with friends, but I wouldn't go out of my way for the cocktails.
I. O.
Best cocktails! Friendly staff.
O.
Our favourite bar for cocktails in London and so far, the world. Never had a bad cocktail here and one of my personal favourites here is the Koji Hardshake. Very unique. Also excellent service - some of the folks here are really happy to share their passion. I'd pick this over Oriole in London, or Dead Rabbit in New York.
L. B.
Had a great night celebrating our wedding anniversary. Cocktails were delicious and our mixologist was attentive and knowledgeable. It's a pricy place, but with great music, views of the Thames and St Paul's Cathedral, it made a special night.
V. K.
Very good cocktails. Good service and music
R. D.
Still great cocktails. The theme of the ingredients has changed, but still great knowledgeable unstuffy service, and fabulously balanced for cocktails with exciting and intriguing flavours. Don't forget you can take these cocktails to the Curzon Cinema below
K. C.
Fancy lounge with great ambiance and fantastic view of the Thames. A more professional crowd, especially in the early evening. Drinks are tasty and creative, but on the weaker (and pricier) side. Overall, a great place to grab a drink and I would definitely come back again.
D. S. d. R.
Great place for a relaxed drink. A bit expensive, but nice and chilled. The music was good, not too loud, and the views are great. Cocktail selection was good too, although I've tried better mixes out there.
A. P.
Great cocktail bar, and perfect place for a date. Can be pretty expensive though, drinks start from £15 and there's a 12.5% service charge too, but it's worth is as the cocktails are really quality and the service is great. The waiting staff really know their stuff if you are stuck on what to pick from their menu.
K. R.
I came here for birthday drinks with a bunch of ladies on a saturday night. we booked a table and got a nice spot with sofas and table by the window. we were told when we entered that we would have to leave after two hours but it wasn't busy so we were able to stay. the cocktail menu is nothing like you've seen before with really interesting flavours. the waitress was helpful as we were sure where to start but told her what we liked and she recommended drinks. I especially liked my gin cocktail with truffles, melon wine & elderflower. there are bar snacks you can order too. this place is definitely on the more expensive side but it as a really nice atmosphere.
T. B.
Managed to get a late night drink here as a walk in, excellent cocktails and service! Cool vibe!
Z. F.
Amazing service plus fantastic and interesting drinks.
A. E. D.
Always a pleasure to go for drinks at the Dandelayan. Nice venue, views of London and great drinks/cocktail menu. Plus the service from the staff is exceptional. Great team of bartender led by the lovely and cheeky Italian Enrico
A. M.
Excellent service and help with selection of drinks - vegan options are excellent too. A mix or cozy and exclusive ambiance overlooking the Thames - close enough to Soho so brilliant for pre- or post-theatre cocktail. Recommended!
V. K.
We visited Lyaness on Saturday, 24th August. Great cocktails, and fascinating concept regarding the seven ingredients. Amazing hospitality; a special thank you to Adrian, who not only recommended great drinks, but also made us feel very welcome.
D. d. G.
The waitress that served us was great! Very helpful and full of fun. The venue itself left something to be desired: very dark, absurdly small tables and a drink time limit we were only made aware of 30 minutes before having to surrender the table
L. T.
Loved it! Enjoyed 2 visits during our stay at Sea Containers. Great service
A. W.
Brilliant venue and top class bar staff
m. m.
Warm, friendly staff. Comfortable surroundings. Key for me was knowledge of cocktails, delivery of complexity and originality in their offerings. Pleased to say they care about quality and very happy with their cocktails. Taken up where the Skylon dropped the ball.
R. A. (. E. M.
Very nice place with the nice view.
The staff are amazing the service is excellent.
T. B.
5-6 times I've now returned, each time just as good as the last. The Concrete Sazerac is an all time classic, with many excellent and interesting cocktails on offer. Of course they do beautifully made classics, and the bar staff are happy to engage in conversation on all drink related matters when at the bar.
Top notch
M. R.
I like cocktails but please don't play so much you feel need to describe each ingredient. It was an entirely pleasant experience and the staff were so attentive. However, less is more sometimes; let curiosity reign.
A. T.
The atmosphere of this bar is palpably alive. From the moment i walked in, the entire crew was amazingly accommodating.
Every thing i tried on the menu was good. Crowd is mostly young professionals.
Live music, beautiful riverside view, friendly and accomodating staff. I would come here again and again.
R. W.
We came here for the wyld tea. The cocktails are very unique. They lose a star because that’s all we got; our server forgot to ask us or serve us any tea (even after we had pushed our empty teacups away from ourselves and he had served us three drinks already) so it was basically a luxury boozy sampler plate of sandwiches and decadent desserts.
A. H.
Tasty cocktails. Great venue.
М. М.
Nice cocktail list and team is on the top of it as always. However not sure why the had to change the concept from Dandelyan as it was indeed a bit more enjoyable and more “groovy”. Still good.
R. H.
When the mixologists knows your wife's daughter who lives in Hong Kong. Great tasting cocktails as well. A much more detailed report to follow after our next visit which obviously won't be too far away.
D. F.
What a lovely night
Great cocktails
Very attentive and knowledgeable staff
Some decent tunes
What's not to like!
S. F.
A lovely bar for a fancy cocktail. I've been here fur low key birthday drinks, and rowdy work parties - it's ideal for both! If you're walking along the Southbank then I'd thoroughly recommend popping in to ready your wearies and have a floral inspired cocktail.
C. J.
Cocktail menu is a masterpiece and the drinks are executed to perfection.
Inventive, creative and just mind-blowing.
If you want to impress on all levels, this is the place to bring someone.
Oh and the pork buns are soft little pillows of joy.
A. P.
I really liked the cocktail menu. And really wanted to love the cocktails but out of the 3 I've tried none were particularly tasty. Interesting, yes, but not tasty. Maybe that's the idea
A. M. S.
Amazing drinks and fabulous bar tenders!! Definitely will be back!
V. B.
Even though is “the best cocktail bar in the world” the cocktails aren’t impressive.
B. C.
Again one of the best cocktail bars in the world, fantastic service and surprisingly had space on a Sat at 18:30. Great place, would recommend
V. C. (.
Fantastic location on the river. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Waitress service ( our waitress was very attentive)
Cocktail menu was exotic with all the botanical flavours.
The radish and garlic aloi was sublime.
R. C.
Look it was rated the best bar in the world. Whether you believe these kind of lists or not, what you can't deny is that Dandelyan, along with the rest of the "lyans", continues to push the art of cocktail making further and further.
Using unusual ingredients in imaginative and thought-provoking combinations, with eye-catching presentation, leads to the kind of cerebrally and palate tingling experience anyone into the art of flavour or cocktails will relish.
If you haven't been yet make sure you go. Soon. They are closing down and revamping their concept for the new years.
Needless to say the service is great and the vibe is upmarket without being ostentatious.
J. F.
This bar is right on the Thames pathway and gives you a good view of St Paul's. I really really enjoyed my old fashioned cocktail. Mr Lyan has put a twist on a traditional cocktail. It's a great place.
L. W.
Brilliant experience and ducioys food and cocktails
N. T.
Dropped in for cocktails on a Thursday evening. The quality lived up to the hype; a lot of great personal twists on classics (the Negroni is particularly good). Beautiful location and great service.
V. D.
Great setting for those special cocktails on a special occasion . Really friendly staff - excellent cocktails ( and between us we tried 6 ) , lovely small dishes ( pardon peppers , olives and chips all excellent ) and a view of the river and St. Paul's 's Cathedral - what more could you ask for !
F. A.
Staff were friendly, variety of cocktails to choose from and a wide variety of appetizers too. Lovely ambience overlooking the river. Will definitely go again.
M. A.
Excellent cocktails and service. A very enjoyable experience.
B. S.
Okay drinks. Not as good as pre-covid time.
J. C.
Wonderful and unique experience, superb service from Rich.
H. L.
It has a nice atmosphere and a beautiful view. We hoped for a more extensive cocktail list.
M. D.
My first time visiting yesterday to see Dan Garnell in his new home. I was so impressed, I visited twice in the same day. All the staff were sincere, the design and vibe was right, drinks were on point all night. The experience felt so personalised towards us that we forgot we were in central London. It’s comfortable to know you don’t have to get dressed up to be served a great drink. Highly recommend. Nice move Dan!
B. “. L.
It wins awards. I see can see why! I love the bar staff - they're excited when you ask for something off menu. My recommendation is to get something on the menu then ask for a house gin dirty martini. Happy days!
Y. C.
Very busy place and I love the creative menu.
R. W.
Exceptional cocktails as you'd expect from the guys behind White Lyan. They also have ice and fresh ingredients to make standard cocktails too, but be adventurous and try something from their excellent cocktail menu. Luxurious interior and very comfortable place to experience new libation after new libation!
A.
Brillian cocktail bar created by multi award-winning bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana A.K.A Mr. Lyan. We tried cocktails at the bar when we arrived at the hotel - complimentary gift as it was my birthday, never a bad touch! The next day we were booked in of a Wyld Afternoon Tea. This comes with FOUR cocktails each, all of which were great and worked well with the food. Hotel bars aren't always great but this one helps make the hetel what it is. Very well worth the visit.
M. S.
Cocktails worth every penny. Made one off menu, superb! Lovely relaxed ambience but must book a table.
P. K.
High quality of cocktails and was the reason I’ve visited. Very good location by the river and friendly staff. Highly recommended to taste the cocktails.
P. P.
Beautiful ambience, drink selection is nice, excellent service and staff with great manners. Would definitely go again with the hubby. Only gripe is the seating...more couching, less seperated seating. Other than that...no complaints, lovely bar.
K. M.
Wonderful service, delectable cocktails and a stylish but relaxed setting - what more could you want. I've had a great experience at Lyaness every time I've visited - give it a whirl.
R. D. S.
Nice warm ambience! Great service and drinks!. Interesting cocktailsas well! Overall a really lovely evening and will definitely return.
A. D.
Definitely not worthy of the best bar in the world. It was good but not breathtaking when compared to previous London winners like the Artesian. Would consider coming back for the afternoon tea.
E. W.
Outstanding cocktails really interesting cocktails. Beautiful descriptions, great location, great atmosphere and service. We'll worth a cocktail... Or four at this excellent venue.
S.
Friendly staff who whip up some delicious cocktails. Ask them their favorite and you will not be disappointed! A lovely experience.
G. W.
Great place for a nice drink in the hotel, fabulous staff.
D. A.
What a transformation from a drab , grey and jaded stone edifice to a buzzing hotel .
Dandelyan is unique as it offers people watching whilst sipping cocktails in classy and vibrant surrounds. A first on that stretch of South Bank
A never ending list of carefully listed and exquisitely crafted cocktails and great bar food to boot . The accolades are well deserved
We plan to stay at the Mondrian , while away our time at Dandelyan and then check out it's twin on the terrace , Rumpus Bar.
N. P.
Was told it was their last night so had to go. Not sure if its actually closing or rebranding but the drinks were great. Everyone was having fun which took away from the experience especially if you weren't involved in it but it was still great, glad I got to have a Koji Hardshake one more time!
J. B.
Interesting conceptual cocktails at a bar trying to do more than the ordinary. A bit of hit and miss on the drinks at the price point but a unique experience worth a one off visit to judge for yourself!
M. C.
Sophisticated cocktails, great Tom Dixon interior and amazing tapas sharer plates. If you are into cocktails and don't mind paying premium, this place is for you!
C. S.
The best cocktail bar I've been to in London! Great drinks made even better by the friendly Australian dude and Adrian- exceptional service.
D. B.
Excellent cocktails along South Bank; attentive, friendly staff. Layout of cocktail menu somewhat unclear and borderline pretentious. Nevertheless, would recommend if strolling by!
D. A.
Amazing cocktails indeed but the portion is small. The environment is really nice but I would expect to see this bar at a higher floor of Mondrian hotel.
M. C.
Best part of the trip! Staff was amazingly friendly, did was delicious and the drink pairings were so delicious. We enjoyed it so much we stayed for 3 more drinks
J. C. (.
Frankly, the vibe, drinks, and value for money is heads and shoulders above London and the world's next best cocktail bar. Beautiful view, great service. Highly recommend.
L. H.
Loved being here with a friend for drinks. Great service, great cocktails, and FREAKING AMAZING DJ. Sorry. Freaking amazing DJ. I’d back for the tunes alone were it not for the added bonus of a killer sidecar. Thanks new southbank find.
R. B.
Just grabbed a quick drink here but had a nice vibe and Carlos (I think) on the desk was really helpful
J. R.
Great drinks, cool decor and ambiance
S. J.
We tried the Japanese whisky Nikka
A. D.
Lovely cocktail bar on the river. Great selection and wasn't disappointed with any of the cocktails I had, though i'm sure my objective judgement deteriorated very quickly.
M. D.
Fantastic mixed drinks. The bartenders were exceptionally helpful in suggestions. Most of the menu book is premix, so drinks were done quickly.
J. T.
Amazing cocktail bar, deserves it's title as the best in the world. Every cocktail I had was delicious and the guide at the back of the menu was really handy.
M. P.
First visit did not disappoint. Lives up to its reputation and the legacy of dandelyon. Great service, great atmosphere, great decor and most importantly great cocktails.
M. F.
Amazing place, cocktails were out of this world
s. s.
Absolutely wonderful, fab service and drinks and also gave a lovely extra as a birthday treat. If its a special occasion I'd recommend letting them know before hand.
A. G.
I spent a week with friends visiting as many bars as possible in London and I ended up here 3 times, so that says a lot. Definitely worth a visit at any time of day if you appreciate a well crafted cocktail and excellent service.
R. A.
Silly cocktails with weird ingredients that are just ok.. much better cocktails served at a hundred other places across London. Oh and the cocktail menu is unreadable, frustrating and annoying to read.. trying way too hard and failing.
C. W.
Super cool cocktail bar! They frame all their drinks around a particular ingredient and make a lot of their liquor in house. Very cool place!
N. W.
Beautiful setting, great cocktails and small plates. The view is gorgeous and sevice was flawless. Worth every pound spent!
A. K.
They are crazy about cocktails taste! Cool ingredients
J.
Great cocktail bar with a fun set menu of drinks. Nice place to be scene, make an impression or celebrate. Bar food 'menu' is poor and generic.
M. E. J.
Great cocktails, great vibe, quite a cool place to hang out in there stressful times
J. H.
Great modern bar. They do not focus on packing the bar for more money, but rather limit it to make sure the experience is better. Staff are very clued up about their menu . Nothing negative to say.
J. D.
Dandelyan is my favorite bar in London! I love their beautiful view of London especially from their rooftop bar. They have a modern and beautiful ambiance and delicious selection of cocktails.
C. M.
Great bar for drinks ....and finger food
T. S. (.
The best cocktail bar in London, and prices to suit that title.
M. M.
Really great cocktails that aren't extremely overpriced in a very laid back setting. Make sure to book a table or you probably won't be seated.
K. R.
I had the bar food(the chicken sliders) and it was excellent. Great selection of beer/spirits too. Comfortable place to kill some time and watch people walk by.
D. B.
Really tasty and inventive cocktails. Staff are very helpful. This bar is definitely worthy of all the awards it's won.
R. W.
Bang on the river perfect service and cocktails
K. C.
View is wonderful at the top of an iconic lo Don sear front hotel. Drinks were fab and great dj playing house music. Great vibe
L. H.
Yes I must admit I understand way it's this year best bar in the world !
Happy staff, great cocktails , lively place with lots of people, next stop in London I'm there sorry artisan u got out played
M. V.
Awesome Bar. The spirits to choose from are on point and the bartender was smoking hot! I went in cause it had the first letter of my name lit up outside. It was a damn good sign of things to come.
G. K.
Loved the cocktails here and wine , the staff were nice and friendly and an overall great experience, I luv London :)
L. G.
Great ambiance. Drinks are expensive but no different to any other bar of that ilk. Difficult to get a seat so you'll need to book.
a. g.
Super cool. Amazing music. Amazing interior design. Excellent & innovative cocktails. Friendly & helpful staff. Highly recommended. Pricey.
R. P.
One of my favourite place for a good cocktail. Great staff always available to help in order to find the right drink and good food as well.
R. J.
I'd been itching to try Dandelyan, the bar in the newly opened Mondrian Hotel on the South Bank, for a couple of reasons. One, because it serves alcohol (naturally) and two, because it's housed in the old Sea Containers building where, aged 14, I spent a week's work experience in the now defunct Police Information Technology Organisation. So on a chilly evening before a rather disappointing evening at The Breakfast Club and The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town I dragged S in for an aperitif. All seductive greens and purples, Dandelyan is nothing if not decadent. The cocktail menu's split by the base ingredients rather than the type of alcohol and there's a nifty little graph at the back that charts the suitability of the drinks against the time of day. I was in the mood for something mischievous so chose the Concrete Sazerac - Martell VSOP cognac, fermented Peychaud, absinthe and concrete - perfectly smokey with a slightly ashy aftertaste, this was just what I needed. It also comes with edible stones; a nice little addition to scoop out part way through or once you've consumed the last drop. S went for the Puffed Grains and Chocolate which was less chocolatey than we were expecting and much lighter than mine. Friendly staff and a buzzy atmosphere meant that this hotel bar's a keeper.
M. P.
Needless to say that it's one of the top cocktails bar in the world. Lovely staff and amazing wide list of cocktails
M. M.
Described as 'swanky' but it's a pretty old crowd. That said, the bar is excellent, I had a Cynar and Mezcal Negroni which was brilliant. Some things, like the stinky jamon infused drink our waitress suggested, were genuinely awful but they were quickly replaced for no charge and when they get it right, which is most of the time, they get it right.
S. P.
Very nice for champagne and cocktails. Depending on your budget this can turn out expense but it's worth it. Great service and views of the Southbank.
P. P.
Very nice, saved our birthday evening after another bar rejected our reservation. Great mood, excellent drinks, will come again!
B. N.
About what you'd expect from a place like this but the cocktails are worth the price and the space is used well to put you in a comfortable environment with all the trimmings. Service is excellent too.
S. S.
Nice location and great service. The server was very helpful in making suggestions about the cocktails to have.
W. L.
Excellent bar. Concept has changed from the former Dandelyan, but quality and innovation still top notch. Excited to see its evolution over the next few years.
G. P. M.
Really good range of cocktails in a nice chic place. Great dj, fast customer service, and properly priced.
E. G.
Incredible world leading cocktails with views across the Thames. Bar is always relaxed, with friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff.
B. M.
Lyaness bar is placed near Thames river, formerly named Dandelion. Offer variety ofcocktails, based on 7 ingredients plus others. Must visit for cocktail lovers... 🍸🍹
f.
Bar design is nice and atmosphere in general nice but felt that staff were eager to move us from our table before our time was up. Overpriced and overcharged a bit.
F. N.
Very nice place with fantastic interior. Great service and food. Had Afternoon Tea.
A bit pricy and the food was a bit heavy on the sweet side. Would have loved more savory bits rather than sweets.
V. P.
Great service, incredibly well detailed cocktails and ingredients abs a very easy vibe to it. The food is great too! 😊
A. B.
The Wyld tea was superb. Slightly unfortunate end on a cocktail described as "like a bitter mojito" but actually ludicrously sweet, however the bacon jam pasty was an extraordinary highlight.
C. D.
Great explinations on the cocktails and service! The cocktails are amazing too! And was able to sit next to the window with a view of the thames
S. M.
Drinks were great which was complimented in a scenic view of Central London by the river at sunset. However, the food was mixed especially at the price paid.
A. C.
Suppose to be the best bar in the word but I mean I've been in so many bar in London and for me this one is not the best . Nice view nice drink but if you ask to the waiter why is the best bar in the word the answer is not so helpful...
Y. T.
Great customer service and artisie menu, drinks not so much. We tried at least 10, interesting flavors but I think they forgot to put alcohol in all of them..
J. W.
Great cocktail bar. Very interesting menu and the staff are always down to earth and very welcoming.
J. M.
Super hospitable and friendly staff! We went there just for a cuppa tea. Although only one of us ordered one, all of us got a glass of water for free. I can recommend...
J. N.
Much price, so tiny drinks.
Perfect view on the Thamse, Drinks are very extraordinary... The problem is, that the personalcost of the ~10 waiters are transferred to the menu.
A. B.
Great staff, serving great drinks. It's apparently changing into something new, they have high standards to live up to.
M. C.
Sophisticated cocktails, great Tom Dixon interior and amazing tapas sharer plates. If you are into cocktails and don't mind paying premium, this place is for you!
C. D.
Great explinations on the cocktails and service! The cocktails are amazing too! And was able to sit next to the window with a view of the thames
B. B.
Great atmosphere. Not pretensious considering the prices. Staff very chilled and helpful.
P.
Good vibes, good music, good drinks. The view... Meh
J. F.
This bar is right on the Thames pathway and gives you a good view of St Paul's. I really really enjoyed my old fashioned cocktail. Mr Lyan has put a twist on a traditional cocktail. It's a great place.
M. B.
Great cocktail bar but not the best in the world! American Bar is miles ahead. Worth it if your in the area though
J. H.
Great modern bar. They do not focus on packing the bar for more money, but rather limit it to make sure the experience is better. Staff are very clued up about their menu . Nothing negative to say.
P. P.
Great, relaxing bar with amazing views looking over the river. Just beautiful! 🤗
M. C.
Brilliant
Е. В.
One of the most amazing places I've ever been
W. W.
A lovely high tea with delicious cocktails. Excellent service from our waiter.
M. K. S.
Don't walk, RUN to Dandelyan as this amazingly potent place of love, reality and happiness will close down forever soon. But don't threat, it served it's highest purpose, and all will be good. There's always something new, something better on the horizon :)
A. F.
Had such a lovely afternoon tea and the cocktails were amazing with fantastic service. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at the dandelyan
A. R.
Unless you book to have a drink, forget going, if there are more than 50 people in there it’s considered fully booked and you will be standing at the bar, even if there are seats available, plenty of other cocktail bars around
R. N.
Great service and awesome unique cocktails
H.
Expensive cocktails admittedly but you get what you pay for. The bar tenders are also very knowledgeable and worth trusting as the menu is pretty overwhelming!
J. T.
It's quite good - the cocktails are by no means London's finest; but they are nice and the location is good. Not great value for money.
М. К.
I highly recommend you The Hoji Hardshake! Best world bar, unbelievable view and absolutely amazing cocktails! Ask for their cellar menu
S. L.
Nice bar with solid drinks, but a little disappointed as we had expected more in terms of presentation and atmosphere from the world's best bar.
E. M.
Very interesting cocktail menu and nice view of the Thames. Could be a little bit warmer in terms of atmosphere.
I. M.
Not the most comfortable sitting/lighting. Drinks variety isn't that wide either. Overall tasty cocktails, but relatively small.
A. T.
A lovely afternoon. Delicious afternoon tea and wonderful cocktails. Staff were delightful. Sit by the window for a great view
J. E.
Incredible bar, excellent drinks, outdone only by the service. Stephen, our server, was friendly and really made it an excellent experience
J. D.
Incredible... The creativity of the menu, quality of the cocktails, service and atmosphere make this a must. The awards are well deserved.
T. W.
Very sheek surroundings. Elaborate cocktails. Friendly and custeous staff. Everything you'll expect from a top cocktail bar
J. R.
Nice cocktails, had a good date with my boyfriend here the other night and the staff were all really nice! :) thanks!
S. L.
This is a great cocktail bar with fantastic views of the Southbank. It has a great vibe and great selection of drinks.
M. R.
New Encyclopedia mixology infusion. Bartenders are like chefs. Amazing interesting cocktails. Infused with flowers spices herbs. Try it
S. N.
Nice chic ambiance, friendly waiters!
A. A. P.

P. M.
Great cocktails, amazing service x
L. M.
Very cool place you got everything of a 5 stars hotel but is is not pretencious. Nice music, nice staff, amazing location.
Outstanding drinks
I. P.
It is spacious and has great views, but most importantly the bar staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
C. L.
Its ok, we went for afternoon tea and our service wasn't great, this seemed to be because the kitchen was miles away from where they were serving us. Nice enough but not worth the money they charge and people complained about how unfriendly the hotel staff were on arrival.
K. x.
Absolutely love this place, interior is my favourite. Cocktails menu is very interesting :)
S. P.
Nice place for meeting friends. Try the roof bar on the 12th floor. Nice cocktails even though they ate pricey
C. L.
Great views, professional staff. Not sure if best bar in the world, but certainly in the top 5 I've been to.
Y. B.
Had an awesome experience. Great tasting cocktails and friendly staffs.
R. O.
Great views, and casual vibe. Felt the place was overrated and cocktails were substandard from what you get in and around London
A. B.
Great staff, serving great drinks. It's apparently changing into something new, they have high standards to live up to.
S. S.
Without a doubt one of my favorite bars in the world. Somehow I always leave here very, very happy. They must put something in the drinks.
S. N.
Great style, music, ambiance, cocktails and food. Loved it...BUT not enough sandwiches & savouries. I left happy but peckish.
B. D.
The staff, bar and food are fantastic. The drinks are very good but I find the menu tough to decipher.
A. S.
Good cocktails but not the best in town. Good location but the interior not totally my taste.
D. B.
Simone is the best. Great cocktails and great service truly lives up to one of the best bars in the world!
M. D.
Amazing drinks! The staff was also super awesome, able to read the crowd.
M. S.
Very nice, fantastic service, great food & huge choice of drinks with superb views of London. Would highly recommend.
W. M.

I. H.
Great cocktails, service. Doorstaff and security staff top notch
L. 3.
Nice location, very attentive staff. Wasn’t blown away by cocktails and they are quite expensive.
S. r.
Best cocktails and food
J. C.
Lovely cocktails but you have to book unless you come on a school night.
M. O.
Some amazing creative cocktails. Worth the premium price for the quality and atmosphere
M. G.
Not what it used to be. Service is still good, interior is similar, just diff colors and some diff furniture, boring cocktails with barely any decoration and taste.
K. W.
I came here with my boyfriend for my birthday and they really made my experience amazing highly recommend cant thank the waitress and waiter for everything the afternoon tea was fornomal!!!
s. k. s.
Great bar....friendly staff behind the bar, knowledgeable, will mix any drink you request...the way you want...top notch...great atmosphere too....best reserve your place...
M. M.
Very tasty cocktails with interesting botanical ingredients, appreciated the guide to which cocktails were the perfect afternoon pick me up too!
K. J.

Excellent cocktails. Pricey but worth it. Great for special occasion cocktails
M. V.
Fantastic experience. Decor, music, creative and delicious drinks, and the staff was just spectacular. The service was beyond reproach.

Lovely place. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Will was helpful with our drinks. Would recommend.
P. M.
Great alternative afternoon tea. Cocktails were a delight and different. Great music too. Great decor. Great afternoon
T. L.
Attentive service
A. A.
Had the best time, outstanding menu, drinks and service. The food was also fantastic, get the Haggis croquettes
T. A.
One of my favourite bars, especially on a Sunday evening, when they play oldschool Hip Hop. Very nice design.
K. R.
Enjoyed it to D max!
G. E.
World class bar serving world class drinks that challenge modern day perception of flavour whilst offering friendly local world class hospitality in a luxury environment right on the southbank
A. C.
I love it here, great music that's not too loud, amazing views over the city and great imaginative drinks and lovely staff can't ask for much more!
D. H.
Great venue, attentive service.
Perfect for people watching whilst taking your time over a well crafted cocktail.
D. D.
Nice bar on the Thames. Staff very knowledgeable and there was a nice bar menu.
T. M.
Beers are minimum £8 but it's really nice ambiance and the staff are great
p. m.
Great bar with unique drinks. Make sure to try their old fashion.
M. S.
Very chic place to stop for a drink.
i. t.
Excellent drinks with an innovative botanical feel. Snacks were good. Chicken was the standout
