Reviews of Mamuśka! Polish Kitchen and Bar
R.
Very good environment, awesome food taste, great attention and affordable prices. It goes a little pricey but you will enjoy the food, beer, cider and music for sure. Also, be aware that tips are usually included in the bill (+12%) if you do not ask for the opposite (quite unfair not to ask in advance).

I've not yet been to Poland, but most of the staff I met were from there. The food was great! We got the meal for two and couldn't finish it (and we can pack it away if we let ourselves). Great atmosphere, frienldy staff. Reasonably priced. We are first time visitors to London and do not regret our meal here! We will definitely return if we pass through London again.

Very friendly staff who were so welcoming and had a nice chat with us. Very good selection of tasty and authentic Polish dishes. The sausage was particularly good. Great location! Would very much recommend Mamuska!

Quick service because it was empty on a Wednesday night. I wish the pierogies (dumplings) were a bit pan fried to add crisp. Food was good and friendly staff.

Amazing place, friendly staff, tasty food.
The meal for 2 is really good as you get to try a lot of Polish meals, really recommend it !!
Great choice of beers and vodkas

Nice, big, open. Lovely high ceilings. Never had polish food before but the food was great! The food portions are quite big! Staff were very pleasant and upbeat. Good atmosphere and very clean. Will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely brilliant place to spend an evening.
Really good quality food with authentic Polish flavour, portions are generous and very reasonably priced. You'll struggle to find a better value for money restaurant!
Wide selection of Polish beers and vodkas if you fancy a drink.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, making sure you feel at home there. Special shout-out to Anka, who was our waitress - she really made our night special!

The food was great that we had, it being a Sunday they didn't have everything on their menu but there was still loads to choose from.
The service was great too
And you can bring your dog, and partner if you like

Delicious food, great dessert, and the service was amazing. We had the friendliest server who not only helped us decide, but was also really fun. They have a great selection of Polish drinks as well, definitely try Soplica with Hazelnut 🤎
Bardzo dziękuję!

Discovered this gem by accident while exploring London. Food was great and service is superb, great place to eat and hang out with friends. Will definitely come back and this time finish our Perogni ( we really actually enjoyed the food but was totally distracted with our conversation when the server took away our plates). Apologies for that.
T. S.
Gotta try the ox cheeks, they are divinely tender. The waiting staff is attentive as well as very nice. Polish hospitality!
T. S.
Really nice place to go for some traditional Polish food. Plenty of space inside to comfortably social distance when seated. Staff are lovely so service was great, despite being a tad slow.
Food was delicious and I would definitely recommend the Oscypek with cranberry sauce for starters if you are a cheese fan... Amazing! Main was potato cake with mushroom sauce and added cheese but a bit heavy with the cheese for my taste - still went down a treat.
Didn't have dessert but there are options on the menu and there's a fantastic array of drinks including cocktails, beers, wines and spirits. What more could you ask for?!
Worth checking out if you are looking for something different.

Great experience from start to finish.
Food was out of this world 👌
Big shout out to Mirek for top service.
Would highly recommend 👍

4* for stuff because try hard to learn Polish. However he brings all food and at the end give fork and knife.
5* for sides (salad) because was fresh and tasty.
Food quality is in middle Is good but lot can be better (lion should be cook on lard not on oil) gherkin mhm it will be nice if home made but is not
Very important!! Restaurant adding 12,5% of service charge and only info about is a small write on a bottom of one of menu page's and is counted by person then if you come with more people each person order is counted separately with separate charge ... I think that information should be given by stuff before you make an order because if you do it by yourself on web site is only 7%.
As resume is not best but if you want try Polish food is good to try

Food was amazing. Had the mixed pierogi dumplings, the pancakes with goulash also the Schabowy. All phenomenal dishes cooked to perfection and the staff were very friendly and helpful with the dish and drink suggestions. Would recommend for everyone.

An amazing place with hearty, authentic, delicious food which is not pricey.
The staff are friendly and always smiling, the service is quick. Sofiia, who works at the bar, makes great cocktails and is very sweet.
Totally recommended, especially if you’re craving a filling, slap-up meal.
Will certainly be back!

Great place for an afterwork drink and meal. The fried pierogi was superb, the pork and the goat cheese one are my favourites. Drinks here are pretty affordable considering prices in London, they offer taster menu so you could try various different kinds all at once. The atmosphere and ambience were great and has a homey vibe to it, staffs were also attentive and welcoming. Surely would come back for a second visit.
T. K.
100% recommended polish restaurant. Amazing food and great service. We're ordered Mama's Set Menu for 2 and extra crispy potato pancakes (placki ziemniaczane) 🥘🍲🍟 Finger licking awesome 😃

Still like you guys and your food and really understand your prices increase as hospitality sector definitely struggles and will struggle for quite some time. Having said that we feel that Mamuska lost a lot of her charm. In the past you were this super cool canteen, now you are trying super hard to be a restaurant with table service and service charge (I know that you pass it on fully to your staff but one of the reasons people go to canteens is actually minimum service and value proposition).
The best part of your offer - salad bar is gone and I don’t think there is any good reason for that but costs saving (considering price increases we would hope at least not to see cuts in the offering).
Hope you will bring back some of those little special extras which used to make Mamuska super cool place we always happily showed to all our non Polish friends.
And just to set tone right - we are your regulars and we are not planning to change it and please take it rather as a constructive feedback.
All the best guys.

We've visited a few Polish places here in London and I have to say I think this place is my favourite.
The food was absolutely ah-may-zing and really well priced.
They also do a very interesting selection of flavoured vodkas!
B.
I cannot recommend this place enough! The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the staff are super friendly and energetic. It's a great place to go with a big group, especially if you want drinks along with the meal. Lots of choices of beer and vodka. The seating area is not cozy, it could be made a bit more comfortable, but it does have a unique casual vibe.
R. S.
A great place to meet with friends as there was no loud music to compete with our conversation. It's a very stylish bar and restaurant with lovely staff, really welcoming and friendly. We shared goats cheese and spinach dumplings followed by potato pancakes, all tasty but very filling, if you enjoy meals heavy on the carbs this is a must, I couldn't manage all of it and the friendly waiter offered me a doggy bag! We also had a selection of flavoured vodkas to sample, the one with quince was delicious. We stayed pretty much until closing time and at no point did we feel like we were being rushed. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Forgive me Bahbie (polish for “grandma”), but Mamuśka has probably the best pierogies (potato cheese dumplings) my wife and I have ever tasted. Spectacular ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
K. P.
Great, authentic polish food, lovely atmosphere, good prices. Our waiter Piotr was very friendly and professional and made us feel very comfortable. We will definitely be back when visiting London again. Highly recommend
S. D.
This place never disappoints and this was our fourth visit. An excellent place to taste some of the lip-smacking and the best authentic Polish dishes. The Schabowy that I ordered was succulent and tasty. I'd really like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our host Mirek for being so friendly and polite. He was very attentive to our needs and always eager to provide good service. The service was incredible and the dishes were perfectly crafted. Highly recommended. Would definitely visit soon.
C. M.
I had such a fun time here. There was a really buzzy atmosphere and it was busy. We had drinks and small plates of food, don't ask me to try and spell them but they were all tasty. I don't drink and tend to be fussy with non alcoholic beer but the one they had was lovely. A cracking night and I'd definitely go back :)
K. P.
Delicious food, nice atmosphere and good quality service... it would be nice if in Polish restaurant anyone will speak Polish (no one who served us does - that's why 4 stars) .
K. F.
Big smile at the entrance , staff super nice and professional. Food was spot on ( I'm Polish I know how it should be..ish) , portions were big, beer was cold , smiling face all around . Really nice experience 👌 😊
T. K.
Amazing food. Friendly staff. We was celebrating our 1st birthday of our group
J. D. M.
We went back to Mamuska at lunchtime on a Monday and took some friends there for the first time. We all enjoyed the meal - the space is spectacular and the food is fun. Service was good, portions were generous and the price reasonable - we'll go back. One small suggestion - please could you turn down the music during the day, since at that time people are usually coming to chat with each other and not to party!
S. S. (.
Simple and tasty cuisine, decent beer, including Polish craft. Soups are very good for the chilly autumn weather.
The service was disappointing, though, it took almost half an hour and several reminders to get a coffee and approximately same time to pay (guys, staring into a laptop does not imply that I'm there for the whole day).
A. T.
Went to Mamuśka for my birthday 20/10... The food was delicious, and definitely filling! I am Polish myself, and can say the food was 100% authentic. Staff was very friendly and made me feel very welcome. I am happy I chose this place for my birthday meal. I am definitely coming back soon and bringing friends with me!
P. B.
Yesterday, together with two of my friends, we had visited Mamuska to try traditional polish cuisine. It was not our first visit to that place as we admire polish food. The service and food were splendid as usual, and our servant, Piotr, has helped us choose our meals. He was very friendly and eager to help, recommending Mamuska's most refined dishes and desserts. We did enjoy every dish he recommended, and definitely, we will be back. Piotr and the team, great job! See you soon :)

Mamuska is an interesting place for London. Located just 7 minutes away from Waterloo station, it offers a good selection.of Polish food and drinks.
When it comes to drinks, it has a fantastic variety of polish drinks, beers and coctails. Value for money in drinks is good.
When it comes to food, Mamuska offers a good variety of polish cuisine. Ingredients are fresh, portions and big and overall it is delicious.
Service is helpful and happy to guide you.
Recommended if you want to try something different

I have recently been there twice over a weekend. We got a table quickly despite no reservations on line. A very interesting place like „industrial-style”interior. Music, lights, great tv screen, etc it's not boring. Standard waiting time for food as everywhere. Lades from the waiter service are nice and try their best. Food prices are not expensive but except beers price (which are good). I rate Polish food as good. A large offer of dishes, so there is plenty to choose from.
Two cons: on the first day I got a not very warm potato pancake with stew ( but still was tasty). I was hungry so I didn't want to wait for a new one that should be warm. And next : the toilet is a „surprise” very poor and shared.
In any case, I recommend it and I will come back here again... but not for a few beers.
b. k.
Great food, don't be in a hurry they ain't fast. Good pirogi. With a plate you get trip to salad bar. Excellent krout. Lots of drink choices except soda. Interesting space. The pork goulash was good too and schnitzel
R. S.
Really delicious food, Pierogi and potato pancakes were our favourites 😋
so many different vodka flavours, try the rainbow selection. Located under the arches at waterloo, staff really helpful guiding us through menu as was our first visit.
P. G.
Deserves five stars even just for the gingerbread beer from Toruń! But it's got a great dining hall, really cool industrial decor, great Polish food and absolutely awesome staff! It does remind me of the cool restaurants and bars in Warsaw. It's a fantastic upgrade from the old Elephant & Castle location. That comes with higher prices, unfortunately, but I say it's worth it!
D. G.
Location is fantastic, just behind the Waterloo station. It's spacious and staff are very friendly and the vodka and sliwowica were excellent as was the polish beer selection.
Food was OK some of the party liked it more some less, but I thought the bigos was quite tasty and pierogi were alright.
We had the misfortune to be there when a function was on, and it was live-band karaoke which was an awful distraction so much so that we couldn't hear ourselves or waiters speak 😢 In fairness, the manager tried to make things better by inviting us to take part in the karaoke, but it wasn't your function and we politely declined.
All in all it was a pleasant experience and was it not for the karaoke din probably would have been even better.
I'd say give it a go and see for yourself.
P. K.
Warm welcome, here you go and that’s it really.
Had to get someone from the front of the restaurant to take our order for drinks. Same for our food order.
Food was ok. Could be a bit hotter. We could see it sitting under the lamps for a while. And it wasn’t busy.
Drinks came very quick. Food was about 20-25mins (including fake tan under the lamps).
Again - taste was good, temperature could be better.
Also getting a bill was another journey.
But overall wasn’t too bad.
J. N.
Lovely atmosphere, good, friendly service, good beer & large portions of delicious food . Did check with the waiter if they received their share of service charge ,before I paid the bill .... Don't live in London, but will definitely be back. Thank you 👍
J. B.
SAbsolutely loved everything about it. The portions are huge, soooo tasty and real comfort food. The venue has bags of character, the staff were amazing and the beer selection is top shelf, what more could you ask for?!
K. L.
I simply love it ❣️ As polish I can tell - food is great. Like Mama is cooking back home. We had a sharer plater for two. No matter how hungry you might be, you won't be able to finish it all! Super friendly staff.
S. L. L.
The devolay (carrot salad)is very delicious! We ordered the potato pancakes but it turned out to be a little bit overcooked. The fried chicken (with mushroom and sauces inside) i forgot what name it was, is superb!!!! Must try! Overall the food is nice, self service.
D. Z.
Indeed the closest you can get to Poland is in this restaurant. Dinner was incredible, we were quite hungry and left full an hour later. It's 4h since then and we still don't feel need to eat. Prices? Funny how cheap it is for the amount of food on the plate. Left 30£ for two big dishes, drinks and 2 starters. Salad bar is free. The atmosphere is industrial but cozy at the same time. Beautiful paintings on the walls and good music in te background. Ingenious and funny menu looking like newspaper with clear explanation about what you will get and all allergens and stuff - you don't need to ask any questions. Cute playground for little kids with tables next to it, so parents can see them well. I fell in love with this place and whenever il be back in London this is going to be a point I'll surely have to visit again.

I went here today with my Eastern European friends. It was my first time to eat Polish food, and I loved it!
My friends all agreed that everything tasted authentic and hit close to home.
I had a shot of hazelnut-flavoured vodka to start things off and it was lovely. The soup of the day, which was made of beetroot was very tasty as well.
I think the highlight was the pierogi. It was perfectly steamed. The goat cheese and spinach filling was so good.
I had a taste of potato pancakes, sausages and a cabbage dish (whose name I forgot) from my friends and they were all scrumptious.
We were all so excited to eat that I only managed to take a photo of the pierogi. I’ll definitely come back to try more of the dishes.

Descent food.
I have only had polish food at a friends, cooked by his polish wife and I must say it didn’t meet that standard. Home made will alway be best I suppose.
The staff are very friendly and a very nice overall feel to the place.
Will defiantly be coming back to try more of the menu!
M. M.
I love it here! Service is quick, the food is delicious and the staff are fantastic!
They do a £6 lunchtime menu, which includes a side salad (pickles, etc), a smaller portion of one of their main meals, and either a glass of lemonade or kompot (fruit based). Excellent value for money - and if you work for the NHS there’s a 10% discount too! They also have a daily special to choose from.
There’s plenty of space for larger groups and they also have a mezzanine floor which I believe can be hired out for events - handy to know in this part of town!
I. K.
I love Mamuska! I had high expectations before going there and Mamuska didn't disappoint! The food is amazing, really really good. Pierogi and potato pancackes were great but the slow roasted beef ox cheeks were to die for, yum! The vibe is pretty cool and the place is spacious. Staff were all welcoming and nice and Mirek was hilarious and gave us great recommendations. Thumbs up all around!
N. D.
Really nice proper polish food and great, attentive and kind service, especially miss Anka 😉
T. S.
Gotta try the ox cheeks, they are divinely tender. The waiting staff is attentive as well as very nice. Polish hospitality!
I. L.
Good portions and value. Casual spot fun place to meet friends. Lots of vodka varieties. Service can get slightly hectic when busy as you have to go up and order and pay yourself and bring your own drinks to your table.
T. M.
Excellent pierogi (Polish dumplings) in every style. I recommend getting the mixed plate with sour cream to try them all! Big selection of beer (bottled, draught, craft), vodka, and wine. The service was fast. Tables seat up to six so come alone or bring a few friends. Casual and fun atmosphere. At the moment they have table service (instead of the usual self service).
C. H.
This place was just great. The ordering system was a little weird - place your order up front, wait for the number to be called, then go grab it from the kitchen. There is also a bar of sides to accompany your food. The beers were great and the staff were friendly. I wish I lived near so I could come here more.
D. D. Z.
Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Nice modern design inside, open space perfect for relax. Personnel top standards positive and helpful. Very close to main attractions in London. Quality polish food in very good prices. Hope Mamuska will spread around UK . Will come back there for sure
S. W.
Brilliant. I have been here twice and both times have been great. The night I went they had karaoke with a live band. I sang "teenage dirtbag" and "endless love" (I swear the backing band were out of tune). Not to busy or crowded- ideal in these covid times.
P. R.
First time in Polish restaurant in London and YOU have to go! It’s the amazing spot with amazing food. The service I received was so amazing and I will definitely be back again (thank you Adrian!). They made me feel welcomed and gave me opportunity to magically travel to Poland.
Btw, you gotta try these Oscypki! 🙌🙌😍
D. P.
Friendly staff. Service is slow, food good, pierogi and polish sausage built into the tunnels of Waterloo Station. A bit expensive
Z. K.
If you are near Big Ben or the London eye, you can definitely have a quick lunch or dinner here :) good service, tasty easy european food and variety of beers. I definitely recommend this place
L. R.
Increíble place. Great service and increíble foodm The only restaurant i went twice during my stay in London. Will come back for dure un My next tríp!!...
B. S.
Started with the osypek which was amazing, well smoked and the cranberry sauce was nice and sweet, then for main I had the ox cheeks, perfectly tender and the accompanying mash was spot on, not too thick. For pudding I had the sernik cheesecake, the caramel topping was great but the rest was a little too dense for me. Service was great, even had a free pudding due to one of my friends not liking their meal, overall a 8/10, would come again.
A. K.
Great place! My husband ordered pork belly for main and.... Pork belly for dessert! Yes, it was that good :) Fab service, food and drinks!
I can't wait to go again.
J. W.
Uncomfortable canteen-type seating. Menu takes a while to understand. The food collection system could be more streamlined - you walk to the front, order, pay, return to your seat, your number is called, get up, leave your friends and queue at the kitchen to collect. Our grilled chicken was overdone - hard and somewhat charred. Only the pork stew managed to save the day
J. S.
I really like this restaurant. They serve traditional Polish food and they have vegetarian options. There is not table service, more like a canteen in that sense so you need to pick up the food and returned the dishes.
It is very popular so quite busy at certain times.
New location near Waterloo! Bigger than the previous one. I think they need to invest a bit more in making it more cosy. It needs also more light. And the kids zone is very dark and depressing!
A. O.
Not the coziest of places - it's a big hall with long shared tables and no table service, a little like a canteen, but the food is very nice and filling, and they have a good selection of Polish beers. Surprisingly the vegan stew is really tasty, with chickpeas and many different vegetables. It doesn't feel very traditional, but I guess the Polish kitchen doesn't really lend itself to vegan cuisine. Pierogis are lovely as well, and reminded me of home. Don't know that I'd come back for a romantic night out, but might suggest as a venue for a group of friends.
T. K.
The Iranian/polish lady was lovely, the food was great too. Can recommend the bigos. Only downside was perogi were meant to be fried, but only a pound difference, otherwise lovely!
K. K.
Place looking really cool, great for different occasions, a lot of space. Food...oh my god,I ain't got words how good my food was, had potatoes pancakes with gulasz and my partner kotlet schabowy ,was so so delicious, on the end somehow we managed to find a space for cheesecake,im so happy we have found that restaurant, definitely worth to go and try polish cuisine! Big 👏 for chef ,gulasz was delicious
D. W.
Great vibe, great food, great price and dedication to customer service. More importantly, has managed to maintain (and surpass) standards following its move from Elephant & Castle! Menu may change slightly between Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. Eclectic musical playlists on offer - Polish 70s disco and 90s ambient electronica have been heard!
V. F.
Honestly I'd give this place a higher rating they'd just make how they function clearer when you go in. We waited to be seated which took a while, and later saw people seating themselves so not sure which was correct. We weren't told that you needed to go back up to where you queue for seating to order food (the queue was long when I did go) I only realised when I checked the reviews. Staff seemed OK but didn't seem to enjoy being there (to be fair it was very busy). However food does come almost immediately after ordering - but maybe order your table's food together otherwise you will have finished before they have queued up and ordered.
V. T.
Finally polish cuisine in London! Place is absolutely brilliant! But if You're expecting posh and expensive place, You'll be surprised. It is cozy, very cheap, very tasty and fresh, very welcoming and friendly. Great place to try polish meals and chill in an open space. And considering crazy low prices, it's still in central London.
L. K.
Ummmm this place is AMAZING. We sampled a few different things and they were all delicious especially the perogis. There is randomly a kid play area and so that was an extra good treat. We also topped it off with hazelnut vodka paired with chocolate mousse.
Plus the restaurant is well managed. All our food came quickly. The atmosphere is really neat. Used to be a car park.
Can't wait to go again.
C. L.
Nice polish food, hearty and good portion. Also nice beer and vodka collection. Friendly staffs as well. A good place to catch up with friends
C. C.
We always eat here when we stay at the Plaza next door. Nice relaxed atmosphere, great friendly service. Really enjoy polish food, highly recommend the beef cheek and pierogi oh and the beers too 😊
B. T.
Nice street food style bar and kitchen. Good menu selection including vegetarian, vegan and Halal (chicken) options. Quick, friendly, efficient service. Excellent food. Salad bar of coleslaw, sauerkraut and pickles. Good drinks selection including beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. Nice atmosphere suitable for families, groups, couples and singles alike. Very friendly staff and customers. Would highly recommend. Easy access from Leak Street Arches. Don't forget to tap a tip on leaving.
M. K.
Delicious potato pierogi, absolutely amazing with the fried onions and sour cream! Tried the vege fried croquette looking dish which was below average unfortunately . Great service though! I'll be back for the pierogi!
A. V.
I have to say that the customer service is excellent. Especially big thanks to Ewa. I am suggesting that it would be nice add more polish things according to appearance.
PS. The vodka was delicious. Cheers !
L. L.
Pirogi were very good. Great service, the waitress was attentive and checked with us if we needed anything few times. Soup of the day was also great value.
Portions are quite big
D. C.
I ordered food from here using Deliveroo, the bigos was amazing! Really liked it, very similar to what my mom makes. Potatoes could be boiled for extra 5 min as few bites were still chunky and hard. I also ordered schabowy with cheese and mushrooms. That extra cost for few tiny slices of mushroom and cheese isn't worth it in my opinion. Cake was nice. I would order again as portions are generous and very attractive prices.
K. P.
Traditional polish dishes cooked the way I remember from the family house.
Crispy and dense potato cakes/plyndze were my first choice - love it with sugar but this time served saute still delicious.
Smoky and milky rich cheese oscypek as a appetizer brought back mountain trips memories, sauer cabbage soup/kapuśniak was just prefect for a cold and rainy day served with absolutely amazing bread slice (had to order more of this bread, only bread lovers and polish people would understand the obsession ;))
Fried dumplings/pierogi are signature dish of polish cuisine - must have option from the menu!
Ox cheeks were so delicate and soft, falling apart in a meaty, rich gravy. Served obviously with mashed potatoes.
Absolutely amazing and delicious food. The service quick and very friendly. Waitress helpfull with dish choice. Interesting atmosphere of the restaurant - kind of a military camp style but very comfortable.
As a pole I can highly recommend this place to everyone.
L. I.
I've been here yesterday night and the guys there are super! We were late so the kitchen was already closed, but I was starving so I asked the guy and the chef made me the most delicious soup I've ever had. It was very tasty and with all fresh ingredients. Plus we had drinks and were great too! The staff is very welcoming and friendly, I felt familiar with this place even tho it was the first time I was here. Vodka trays are super suggested!
P. M. P.
Really nice, traditional Polish cuisine, made freshly to order that tastes just like home! Really good selection of good Polish beers and spirits, fast and amiable service and lots and lots of space to sit. 10 min walk from Waterloo station, great lunch deals!
R. A.
Nice for a drink / nice space under the arches but food not great and overpriced for what it was. £11 for a few potato pancakes - which tasted pretty average -, carrot salad and sour cream.
S. V.
Food was great, and the service provided by the lovely Magda was fabulous, we felt well looked after. Definitely would recommend this place, and will come back!

Food was great and surprisingly well priced. You need to remember to go up and order at the till. This is not a waiting service restaurant.
Once your number gets called go get that grub, food is extremely tasty with a great selection of various Polish dishes on the menu, including vegan and vegetarian options.
The highlight for me was the honey cakes, all tasted great and worthyof a nibble, we deducted a star because half way through our meal we was asked to move tables as the next seating had turned up. But the staff were great!
I. O.
Nice spacious venue with good Polish beers and food, friendly staff. /Extra points for playing Alice Cooper :)
K. K.
What a great night out with amazing polish food, polish vodka and beer, all served by one and only Mirek! Thank you for being so attentive and welcoming!
A. H.
Nice atmosphere great food. Got the set meal for 2 and it was huge could not finish it between 2 of us chips and mash potato were overkill but a nice touch lol
C. H.
Great food with huge portions. I went with a Polish friend and he said it is very good.
E.
Good selection of traditional Polish dishes, salad bar that is free with mains. Could improve selection of beers as not many to choose from. Good size portions of food. Would go back and would recommend to friends.
T. J.
Really mixed. The food was good when it came, but the service is remarkably complicated, slow and confusing. We had to ask five times for drinks, then over 40 minutes later, they came.
T. D.
Wow 😮 this place look amazing !!
Pierogi Ruskie 10/10 !!
Only my mum do it better :-) can’t wait to come back !!! Very friendly staff as well !
Great location!
k. s.
I had an opportunity to eat in Polish cuisine restaurants all over The city and I have to admitt that Mamuśka is one of the best if not the best one. Atmosphere is freindly and welcoming, staff starts speaking English but once you will ask if they speak Polish they do speak Polish to you. Soups were truly tasty! For main we had fried chese and Schabowy. They were not as good as soup but soup set the standard high so overall mains were good as well...lemonade and Kremówka(for dessert) also very good! Small minus for cold bathrooms. Concluding, I would definetely recommend.
B. H.
Lovely food, amazing service by Sofiia
a. m.
Great place, very spacious with quirky decor. Food was delicious and portions very generous. We had the set menu for 2 recommended by Anna (super friendly staff), very satisfying! Will definitely be back
J. W.
I love this place - the food is great and inexpensive (can't get enough if thise dumplings!) The atmosphere is chilled, very relaxed, and the people working here are really nice. Thoroughly recommend!
K. W.
You know you're in a Polish restaurant if the waiter comes from the kitchen only to tell you that you can go and pick up your food from the counter because it's ready. It's actually our fault, it's just funny. What was not funny was when I was drinking my coffee holding a cup in my hands and the waiter took away the saucer! I was too shocked to react. OK that's also a bit funny.
The food was all right, not worth to visit if you live half an hour away but tasty and the size is really Polish. I give it 4 stars. What lowers the grade is the creme cake. It was terrible! You can see it at the attached picture - 2 sugary layers of creme (the first based on whipped cream I believe, the other one on butter and pudding) between crackers. It's definitely neither Polish, nor what was advertised in the menu or at the pictures. And if they dare to say that it's the heavenly good cake which became famous because of the late pope John Paul II, they should go straight to hell (in Poland we say in such cases that it wasn't even on the same shelf).
D. R.
Awesome food and great music. Super friendly staff, our server Adrian was very nice and helpful!
S. M.
Tasty home style polish food. Wish there were a few more options available otherwise very nice.
L. A.
Like a canteen a bit. You need to choose your table, check the menu and you have to order at the counter. Then keep your number and chekc the screen to go and get it!
We had a really good time here, the polish good was good.
You can serve yourself about the crudités.
The portion were more than enough with a fair price.
You have a huge menu card with plenty of choice.
We also tried the classic vodka which was very good and some kompot as well
Good place to go with friend and have a good evening
I. S.
Very good food! One of the best polish places I’ve been x
G.
Good place to get some authentic food and drinks. Around £6 a pint just by the London Eye. Very cheap chips, mash and bread.
S. C.
Traditional polish food in a large dining area under the arches of Waterloo bridge, which resembles a German beer hall. No table service when ordering, but did and drink is delivered to your table. When is ready someone will call your number and bring it to the table. Pricing is not cheap more average for the area, but there are cheaper lunchtime deals. And a large selection of bottled polish beer and vodka
A. O.
Bigos and beef pierogi are to die for! Very good cheesecake, and fresh draught Tyskie lager. Will be back
T. F. (.
Had a lovely Valentine's day here. Food nice, waiters nice, beer nice. Overall nice
m. m.
Very friendly staff, excellent food, as Hungarians we really enjoyed the continental tastes, Philip was very helpful when we indicated we were starving, he served the best bread and soup within minutes, we will definitely come back again, thank you
c. a.
Lovely evening good food and service, very generous portions and good pricing
L. A.
Food was amazing! Friendly staff and nice place. Recommended!
S. S.
Nice staff, good food promptly made first time. Second time they forgot to put the order through. Food a bit bland.
I. M.
Great variety of polish dumplings :) Self service (both to order and pick up the food) pretty cheap too :) Nice rustic interior yet cosy (small) space
B. e.
Great place. I went in the first week of opening and it's great. Very rustic which is how I like. Bare brick walls, concrete floor, original floor markings (paint etc). Food is great, very tasty and plenty of it. Not super cheap but cheap enough and the location is great. Great atmosphere and the owner is a great guy to talk to. All staff helpful and the beer selection is great too!
A. T.
Great, authentic, polish food, exceptionally quickly. Still sad I couldn't finish, the portion sizes are really something.
N. S.
Great, friendly service and yummy hearty food - even as the token vegetarian at our table.
M.
Great food at very cheap prices! I'm now a really big fan of Polish food despite being skeptical at first. I would highly recommend their Oreo cheesecake if you're having dessert.
H. C.
Great place to eat Polish food! People are friendly, nice place and the food is very good! Pierogi is amazing! Thanks for the attention, Adrian!
L. P.
Not great sorry. Very noisy music. Must be getting old and food nor piping hot
A. S.
Polish paradise!
Went for lunch with non-polish friends and they loved it. Had pierogi, pork loin, potato pancakes and beef cheeks. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection.
Mirek our waiter was super friendly and made our visit even more memorable.
Feels like home every time Im here ❤️
A. W.
Really great eatery close to Waterloo Station
Authentic Polish food with a ‘home cooked’ flavour. I had the cheese pierogi (the small portion was plenty!) and my son had the kotlet schabowy with mash and sauce, which looked wonderful. Very reasonable prices; no tablecloths but a great bistrot feel.
Will certainly be going again.
V. H.
Lovely place if you want some comfort food for a great price during lunch. hey for my Hungarian taste :)
R. P.
Fantastic polish kitchen in the heart of London. Probably better pierogies that I've eaten in some places in Poland. Plentiful and nice atmosphere. Friendly for bigger groups, staff is absolutely amazing and helpful.
D. T.
Such a fun day/night. I recently discovered this place and have now gone twice. Incredible vodka selection, great beers, mama’s pierogies and bigos. A must-go place whether you are familiar with polish cuisine or just starting out. The very nice staff will give you lots of recommendations. Incredible fun here.
e. s.
I really reccomend this restaurant me and my family decided to come here and soon as we came in they walked us to the table we ordered food which was amazing me and my family really enjoyed the food and especially the drinks 10/5 if I could rate it a 10 I would with no doubt🥰🥰🥰 best polish restaurant ever
P.
The food was not really good actually but the team is alway kind and polite. Disappointed about the cheesecake, any taste in it
M. I.
Good food apart from the Red Borscht which doesn't look nor taste like real thing. Oddly enough our waiter (Konrad) which is clearly polish kept denying and saying it tastes just like it should....I guess his grandma never made him the real thing.
T. a.
Just amazing. Food, servic, everything.
Staff is very helpful and friendly.
Definitely one of my favourite places to dine in.
A. J.
Food was ok but not as delicious as other polish places. Very spacious restaurant, good for a group of friends/family gathering
I. F.
Popped in for takeaway and had Schabowy. Very nice and worth the money but I need to go back and experience the full dinning experience. From I could see Mamuska looks and sounds like it has a great atmosphere and would be a great evening out with good food and drinks, a proper Polish dinner.
Will be making a trip back very soon.
P. B.
Such an amazing experience. Mamuska is such an excellent place with an unforgettable atmosphere. I went there with my friend, and upon arrival, we were welcomed by a very kind waitress, Anka, who was looking after us during the entire visit. Together with the manager, Marta, they were doing their best to make our visit so memorable. The food there was delicious, and I am confident I will be back to this place again very soon. Well done!
P. C.
Great food and fun vodka floats.
Staff are very friendly. Will be back here.
V. F.
Little bit overpriced, but ok.
I expected a little bit more but ok.
Give them chance.
Y. G.
Lovely place to have proper Polish food! I liked the schabowy very much! The customer service is amazing! Shoutout to Adrian and all the other staffs!
M. O.
Very good food. And friendly staff. Highly recommended.
C. B.
Nice vibe, great prices, lovely staff. Lack a bit of variety. Would be nice seeing more Eastern European and Polish specialties served (such as pickles, kvas, etc.)
S. W.
Fantastic flavours, immense portions, excellent drinks menu, and friendly, helpful service at a price that can't be beat.
R. K.
Good authentic polish food
B. S.
Best Polish food in London. Truly deserves itl name. Reminds me of mum's cooking, yummy 😋 karkówka is amazing 👌👏👍
E. L.
Nice staff & loved trying the different fillings on the mixed pierogi plate.
A. S.
Great chilled place with delicious Polish food. Adrian and Maya were great hosts. Highly recommending trying the soups.
E. R.
I seriously don’t know where to start! The Pierogi was absolutely smashing delicious. The icing on the cake was the staff was super polite and courteous in taking our order despite being the only guy in kitchen and being swamped with orders. Their dumplings tasted the best but they could do some work on the pricing. However considering all the factors, the food was delicious and the customer service was top notch! Delicious vegan/ vegetarian options.
M. L.
Cheap food at a very good price. Furthermore the service team is extra friendly and they have some nice vodkas too ;-)
C. L.
Great food in a very cool environment. Staff was super helpful and nice.
G. D.
Awesome location!! They've got really healthy food and what can I say about the customer service, it was brilliant.
I would recommend 'pierogi' ant the tasty 'gulasz'
A. S.
Good polish food, self service, highly recommended.
L. G.
For someone from Eastern Europe this place is an absolute life saver after feeding on traditional English food for weeks. Give them a try, cause this place is perfect.
I. Z.
Great food but very very very filling. I didn't even have half of my Mai nxourse before asking to take it away.
y. m.
I was born in Poland and have been living abroad since then. I personally find this restaurant the best when it comes to authentic Polish food. Staff is very friendly and nice. Whenever I want to eat something that reminds me of my childhood and family I always go there. Truly recommended.
V. P. (.
Such a great place and we love it a lot. I reccomend GULASH, it is definetely my favorite. You should also try pork cutlet.
The stuff is so nice, our waitress has been Ana and we enjoyed her service as well. 100% reccomend.
O. B.
Polish foods modernised, good selection of beers, fit waitresses, London view, potato vodka...
J. P.
Great restaurant! All the staff members even speak polish, it feels like home. The food is very tasty.
A. P.
First time visit Mamuśka!, and it was amazing I had polish classic Schabowy plus by recommendation from very lovely and friendly Ania for small extra charge mushrooms sauce on top definitely worth the price place very retro/modern I will definitely come back, hopefully being served by Ania can’t wait 10/10
G. M.
great pierogi, vegan friendly and excellent selection of beers and vodkas! ideal for walk-ins.
J. H.
Such tasty food, lovely service and good value, and it was the first place we ate out in, since March 2020, so that tells you something in itself. When we went, it wasn't crowded, so we felt reasonably safe. I'll definitely be going back! Will Mamuska end up as a substantial nationwide chain, the Polish Nandos? I suspect so, but if it does, I hope it keeps to the simple and highly effective recipe of good food, friendly service and good value.
D. P.
Service very good and attentive. Food good selection of traditional recipes
G.
I highly recommend this place I missed the Polish delicious flavors and such atmosphere, very spacious place, food for the medal, service the highest level because Polish girls, fantastic menu idea and learning Polish words.
V. G.
We were here today for the first time since they moved from E&C, which was quite some time ago. The food is good but portions are much smaller and prices are way higher than we expected. 10 pirogies for 10 quid is definitely an overkill. Plus, the service takes quite some time with piping hot food sitting and waiting on the counter while the waiter chit chats with other staff. Felt quite overlooked despite the place being almost empty.
P. M.
Very good food in London, close to Waterloo's station.
I. M.
My Girlfriend Surprised me for my birthday and Oh my, it was worth it. The food was as if I was at her parent's house in Poland. The drinks were fantastic, the Soplica Boards are to die for. And the atmosphere is really chill and relaxing. The staff are amazing, Jakub, Jagoda and Wioleta are super friendly and really made us feel at home. Would come back here every day if I could!
D. H.
Absolutely wonderful and authentic polish restaurant. The food never let me down. I love bringing my friends over to show them our Polish cuisine. I'd give Mamuśka even more stars if it was only possible.
L. S.
Really nice staff, good value, but the food wasn’t particularly flavoursome. Will probably go back for a vodka flight
R. C. L. (.
Tasty polish / eastern European cuisine very close to London Eye & Thames Southbank.
W.
Poor representation of polish food. The potato pancakes were burnt and bland- made with just potatoes and no onions which is very unusual for placki ziemniaczane. The pierogi were not fresh and clearly unfrozen and boiled. Even the receptionists and waitresses wore “masks” that were see through. If you want real polish food I would not recommend this place.
K. S.
This is a second time I'm coming to this place and food is just to die for! Can't ask for more, it's fresh and it's appetising. Perfectly presented, will make some high-end restaurants blush.
My favourite potato pancakes - MUST TRY! Attentive and friendly service. Thank you guys and GM Magda! I will definitely be back to try more of your dishes!
H. F.
recently went for my first Polish dining experience here - pierogi ruskie and gulasz wieprzowy, both of which were delicious and good value for money. the setting is unusual, but it works really well, and I imagine this is sort of what a bar mleczny would feel like. shout out to Wioleta for her amazing, friendly service. will definitely come back for napoleonka when I'm next in London!
M. Y.
Delicious food, friendly staff and good prices. Only downside is the location in terms of lack of windows. Other than that, perfect place for lunch or dinner.
B. H.
What a lovely place! I'd not been here before but went with my Polish friend, really good dumplings at an affordable price. Full credit to a waitress called Maja too for her great customer service and expert knowledge on the food offered!
H. L.
The food was really good and affordable. Adrian was really nice and recommended a few dishes because I'm not that familiar with Polish food. I had the grilled cheese, pierogi, goulash and crispy potato pancakes and they were all really tasty.
A. B.
The food was great and cheap, tasted like Polish dishes I know! Highly recommended!
G. B.
Super good, staff very friendly and funny
C. S.
I thoroughly enjoyed a meal with my partner on Valentine's Day at this restaurant and I have to say it was the most amazing experience!! Thank you Mamuśka staff for helping to make my Valentine's Day very special!
From the moment of stepping foot into the restaurant to the moment of leaving the staff were passionate, energetic, friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy working there which left me feeling very welcome and positive about the place. A great choice of food, which came in a timely manner, tasted delicious and generous in portion size. The drinks menu was extensive and they served cocktails (which I must say were fantastic!).
The atmosphere was positioned perfectly, with a city centre buzz and energy but without being too loud and hostile. I would say the restaurant is suitable for both groups of pretty much all sizes as well as smaller more intimate meals. There was an upstairs bar area as well as the main dining space to accommodate varying needs.
The staff make this restaurant very special and cannot do enough for you, which made the experience truly faultless. I cannot wait to return!
⸻.
Good food, decent prices, the aesthetic doesn't really match the restaurant theme but still nice place
D. L.
Best place in London for craft polish food and drinks. Also Anna is the best waiter in London, every time we come she makes us feel like we're at home. Djankue barzé! Дякуємо! 🇺🇦❤️🇵🇱
A. E.
Superb!
Absolutely delicious food and great atmosphere in the tunnels under the train track. The pierogis are fresh and tasty. Great selection of beers and very friendly staff. Will definitely return to try more of the menu.
R. J.
I went here in January and was nearly blown away by how good it was. Yesterday I went back, it was fine but certain things weren't quite as good. The food didn't taste as fresh and came minutes after ordering. Drinks had gone up a lot and I understand its hard for restaurants but I hope they will continue to be value for money. I will still come here as o consider it the best restaurant in the area.
C. C.
My first Polish food experience and definitely not my last at this place! The ox cheek tasted great and was very comforting on a cold, windy day in London, recommend the pierogi too. Will be coming back 100%. Staff were really warm and friendly also, I’ll be a regular here now. 👍🇵🇱🇬🇧
J. M.
Great food and service, my only complaint is the notification system for when food is ready to be collected from hot plate is easy to miss and does not keep number until collection, so if you miss it you'll get it later and at lower temp, apart from that I really enjoyed my visit and the food (potato pancakes with pork goulash), salad bar was a great addition to the meal too!
k. q.
Amazing cheap food, big portions. It's always great
A. K.
Food was great.. really tasty 😋
We ordered Mama's Set for 2
Delicious !
Not the best experience with the toilets.
No soap in ladies loo.
A. S.
Friendly staff, chatted with us for a while when we came near the end of the day. Really awesome to see a polish restaurant at such high quality. Food is good and a pretty decently wide selection. Modern industrial aesthetic to the place, and fun menus!
S. T.
Fantastic value meal on a budget. We are on vacation for 22 days and want to stay within budget and this really pleased us all around.
The atmosphere was quite different with a lot of metal and older pipe pieces on display. The food was very fresh and staff was very helpful. The lunch meal deal at just 6 pounds was amazing and I highly recommend the pork potato pancakes, they are Mouth watering with the signature Polish fruit juice and a salad option. Recommended!!
M. H.
Nice food but very small portion
A. T.
Super impressed. I came in here for a quick dinner ahead of catching my train. Had the 24hr roast pork - superb! Falling apart and tender and served up incredibly quick. Loved the funky industrial interior, the long beer hall tables and newspaper menus. Polish kitchen can be intriguing but here it’s missing the chance of letting people try real polish flavors (curiously as it’s strongly advertised everywhere in a fancy newspaper-a-like menu)
H. K.
I love Polish food and this restaurant never disappoints me! Reasonable price, decent food, friendly staff.
L. W. (.
Decent place for some authentic Polish food service was a bit slow but otherwise would recommend
T. I.
I went to this bar last night potentially one of the best experiences I have ever had. I am not from Poland my self so I didn’t know what to to expect. Maciej “magic carpet” was so impressive. He explained the menu very well and gave great customer service. We was only meant to come in for a snack but he told us about some amazing polish drinks. One of them being a szarlotka cocktail. It was honestly fantastic I will most definitely come back and recommend to a friend.
Well done guys!
Gino and Calina
S. G.
VERY tasty and authentic pierogis and a really relaxed, warm atmosphere. Maciek was an excellent host and the setting just felt so refreshingly spacious!
I'll be keeping this place in mind for future birthday parties and work events!
M. N.
Great food and atmosphere. Attentive staff and really well humoured especially Mirek !Will definitely be going back soon :)
R. G.
Great food, good portions, nice staff, feels so cozy!
K. B.
Good food And responsible prices. Nice polish beers and shots
H. M.
Really good food and interesting way of dinning. Order at the front and it does get brought to your table - despite the big "collect" sign at the front.
We went at lunch time and had the lunchtime specials that come with a drink and salad for £6 - really good value!! Plenty of options for vegetarians, although the beef cheeks looked incredible.
Would thoroughly recommend for a casual and unusual eating experience within a few minute walk from Waterloo Station.
D. S.
My previous review did not do this place justice so here's an improved version: I am 72 and, although this place may be considered more suitable for younger people, I really enjoyed the cheery atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu is novel, the ordering system is simple, the food is good value.
I must declare my bias and say that my wife and I love going on holiday to different parts of Poland so pierogi is a dish I like! My only disappointment was that Polish cheesecake (sernik) was not available the day we visited. It's my wife's favourite. We will be back!
p. b.
Fantastic meal and staff a taste of Poland we loved it.
M. M.
Big portions, good price. Authentic Food. Many polish beer sortes.
V. S.
Polish people say that it’s as close to home as it gets. Great shots, delicious pierogi!
K. L.
Great food. Friendly service. Have been coming here for years. Hazelnut vodka is amazing. Good for groups.
G. S.
A hidden gem for polish food and drink. Loved the dumplings and the sausage in a roll, large portions , staff welcoming and willing to explain everything to you about the food and drink. A great atmosphere under the arches at Waterloo , well worth a visit for scrummy wholesome food.
M.
Authentic and friendly. They often run out of things on the menu by the evening - particularly soups - but perhaps that's a good sign that they cook it all daily.
A. G.
First time in this restaurant. Good location and friendly staff.
Creative way of presenting the " newspaper " looking like menu and good choice of dishes and drinks. Food came out very quick. Big portions and tasty.
However the way of ordering spoils a bit the overall experience.
P. K.
Loved it. Very good Polish kitchen. The service was great as well we been served by Jagoda. She went above and beyond to ensure we get a best time ever. I am strongly recommend this place.
R. S.
Friendly staff and a very warm gritty and homely vibe.
The food is very good and authentically polish but it is rather steeply priced for what amounts to a self service buffet restaurant. Worth a visit if your in the area and want some good home style Polish food, and are willing to part with some niceties.
z.
I had a positive experience overall. I ordered few items, first one a soup, according to menu should come with bread and it didn't, then for main I had gulasz, the meat a d the sauce was very tasty, but the mash was literally mashed potatoes no condiments or other ingredients so it didn't taste well at all. Also they apply service to your bill but there's no actual service, you have to go the bar and order and for food they just come around and shout your order number. Feels very unorganised. Almost forgot to mention the soup was very good. I recommend the place because the food is quite good also my friends enjoyed their meals and I will come back for sure.
A. G.
First time trying Polish cuisine, good food and nice and spacious restaurant allowing social distancing from other customers. Magda, the restaurant manager, made us really enjoying our experience. Thank you and see you soon
S. G.
This is a great, fast restaurant in a quirky warehouse-style building. You feel like you're in an old beer hall and the food is delicious. They have great beer choices and the servers are all friendly. The counter service makes it a relaxed, casual setting and gives you the freedom to enjoy your meal as you want.
P. M.
Lovely food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere!
m. g.
Great food and drink, friendly staff and the manager spent time getting to know us. Will definitely go again!
K. P.
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, staff wonderful and very helpful especially Ania who served us with highest standards.
R. H.
Really enjoyable meal served by friendly staff.

I randomly found this restaurant when walking around, I had the pork pierogi and they were absolutely fantastic!
G. S.
Went in the late afternoon, originally for a couple of drinks, but stayed on for food and glad that I did. Outdoor tables were all occupied, so the group I was part of went to the very large space inside. As it filled up, the music got louder and a real party atmosphere started to develop. Eventually got a table outside where conversation was easier. We enjoyed the Polish themed food and imported beer. Service was speedy, in spite of the large numbers, showing the place is well run. Staff helpful, prices reasonable, definitely reccommended
r. t.
Good comfort food. Nice to see polish food being done at a good quality casual level, although I do think it's a little overpriced. If it wasn't for that I'd have given it five stars.
f. g.
Average quality food. Used to be a budget friendly place for a good meal. But it upped the prices without much gain elsewhere.
E. F.
Really good place for informal bite to eat. My schabowy was very overcooked and the knives couldn't cut through it but we were with my young son and sending it back wasn't a high priority! All other food and salads were palatable. The craft beer is expensive but I guess they have high rental rates which need to be offset somehow!? Fabulous children's toy section at the rear of the venue alongside dining tables to keep the whole family happy. We shall definitely return and recommend to others.
C. I.
We had dinner yesterday and the staff were absolutely amazing! Had especial guests and they really made us feel especial. Thank you so much!! The food was also great, very tasty and good value. Great selection of beers too. We'll come back!!
D. H.
Used to love it at the Elephant really felt like a home from home. Not feeling it so much here. Big daddy has gone 😢along with the chichen livers but chocolate mousse is back ☺. The food is still good value and tasty but don't like paying a service charge up front. Touch and go with the staff, some are quite rude. Ian is always welcoming and charming but miss the personal touch we used to love . It seems more set up for passing trade rather than for regular customers, but I am glad to see it busy.
That said we are all going today for my son's birthday cos we have had many great family birthdays at the old site ......plus can't go wrong with the vodka selection
C. M.
Wonderful service and and beautiful authentic food. Very fairly priced and a good vibe all evening They made my friends birthday and went over and above for our table. 5 stars.
P. K.
The best for Polish food in the entire Greater London area. I've been living here for years, worked in the hospitality industry for 3 and I haven't heard of any other Polish place in London than Mamuśka!
It's genuine Polish food and drinks, everything completely in the vibe of a standard Polish pub. If you have them, leave your posh standards at the door, it's more of a gastropub than a restaurant. But a perfect gastropub at that!
T. S.
Pretty good overall. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was good and at a good price. Looked empty but that's because all the seating is at the back. £6 for a lunch with salad (mainly carrot and cabbage) and a soft drink. Very reasonable just 10 minutes from Westminster.
K. S.
Lovely service, big portions of good tasty food and Waiter Ania very professional and friendly. Preatty sure i will visit that restaurant again!
S. G.
Edit-- Prices have gone up and Seth is gone. We came back for the good food but service isn’t the same
A friend recommended this place to me and I’m so glad I came. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so lovely and all the staff seemed so friendly. My servers name was Seth and he was such a polite, handsome young boy. He helped me and my friends navigate the menu, gave us amazing advice on dishes (the Schabowy was so delicious, would highly recommend) and he gave us some great recommendations of places to check out in the area when he found out we were visiting from the states. On a vacation I typically don’t go to the same restaurant twice but my experience with Seth makes me want to come back before I head home!
A. M.
Regular Guest me and my friends at the restaurant. We used to love it, however the last few times we changed our mind. The quality of the food is dropped, the portions are smaller and the menu is limited and not as polish anymore (if I want a burger I could definitely go to a nice burger place) and the signature dishes as Chicken Devolay, Chicken Livers, Cabbage role and others , not on menu anymore. what a shame
S. D.
I have no experience of Polish food but what I had was good, filling and well made. There was a free salad bar which had some nice items to choose from. I had a half portion of dumplings as starter or side dish really and potato cakes with mushroom sauce. The sauce was delicious. A star off because I think it's a cheek to add on the service charge before you've actually received any service, especially when you fetch and carry your own drinks. You wouldn't expect to pay 12.5% on top of the price of a glass of wine that you fetch for yourself from the bar, but my fault for letting them do it and not having cash to pay the right price and a tip later. I asked for water which never arrived, if I was supposed to fetch it, it wasn't pointed out.
A. S.
Love this place that was by our hotel. The food was reasonably priced with filling portions. The decor and staff were cute. Placing your order was a little awkward standing at the point of sale in the middle of the store. I'd suggest an actual counter as you walk in so it's clear to everyone. The alcohol was a little on the watered down side but wasn't overpriced.
K. M.
Great place for drinks with friends and a sharing bite of food. Nice service. Nice seating places outside. Reasonable prices.

Authentic Polish food. Tasty and affordable. I just wish the menu had more of my favourites to choose from :D
Edit: I visited again and menu had visibly more choice, which I welcomed. All of our party had pierogi this time as the main dish. For a good reason as they are absolutely delicious! My ones were fried ruskie with bacon and onion - best pierogi I can remember eating. Veg salad, oscypek cheese and kompot were very tasty too. Thanks for making it a great dine-out evening :)
I can't wait to visit again or to get a home delivery. Soon :)
W. K.
Great food, friendly place, interesting decor.
A.
Spacious and bright restaurant. I've been there several times and it's never crowded so it's easy to find a good table. The staff is friendly and take your order really fast. No need to wait. The food is okay but the lunch menu doesn't have many options. There is a daily special, which changes every day, but most of the time is not good. Fast service and cheap prices (menu special plus drink £5). Recommended.
M. T.
It's hard to beat this place if you're looking for a casual, group-friendly, spacious, and tasty bite around Southbank. You might not seek out Polish food, especially in London, but Mamuska is good value for money, fun loving, interesting location, and the food is tasty. Especially good if you have kids in tow - good kids menu and space to run around. Staff is always friendly.
J. D.
Delicious food! Great customer service!
A. G.
Great prices for some hearty Polish food. I love the laid-back cantina-style atmosphere. Good Polish beer selection, including one that tastes like honey! It is largely self-serving, however, so you'll have to take yourself to a table, retrieve your own cutlery, queue to order your food, and watch the serving station for your number to collect your food. The extra effort expended for your meal is made up with the great prices, though!
A. P.
The food is very good and gives me the feeling of actually being in Poland and going over to my mom’s for a home cooked meal. If you would like to taste traditional Polish food - it’s really very authentic. The downfall for me is the current location next to Waterloo station - I enjoyed the Elephant and Castle location more and the previous set up of the restaurant where the details were white, red and black. Now it’s a bit strange - you walk into Mamuśka and the first thing you see are the tills, the menu is in a form of a newspaper which is a bit confusing, there is no blackboard with the meals or prices. So you need to be a regular customer who have been there before to even know what to order. Then you see the kitchen section and the last thing you see are the actual tables - more like benches really. It’s a bit dark for me and the previous location and design worked better for me. But on the whole good food.
T. K.
Excellent service and food!
P. L.
Great place! Quick walk from local court. Planning to dine there for whole 2 weeks every day. Verry good selection of Polish cuisine and pretty good beer and vodka offer.
5£ Lunch offer is a win-win bargain, if you like to eat and hungry you can go for two for £10 and you will be full. Prices/staff/decor/entertainment spot on!
p. m.
Decent restaurant, I was really impressed with their food. The place itself is spacious enough and their tables are good for group of up to ten people.
On the other hand, their toilets aren't very pretty, they are dirty and smelly.
Staff is friendly and welcoming.
Overall, good atmosphere and a nice place to have a dinner
p. h.
Visited to watch Poland's EURO 2020 fixture vs Spain and the venue was buzzing. We ordered food and drink and the service was brilliant !!
M.
This place has by far the best value for money ratio for Polish cuisine in whole London. Don't expect anything fancy but for reasonable price you will get a good size portion of solid quality, authentic polish food. Highly recommended.
M. K.
Good service! Excellent customer service by waiter Adrian and Maja. Thank you.
T. S.
Go here when you are hungry. The portions are generous and very tasty. There is a lunch deal with slightly reduced size and it comes with a free salad and a soft drink (fresh lemonade or kompot). The place itself does not try to be fancy or posh, it has an industrial vibe. The staff is always super friendly and the food leaves nothing to want.
N. J.
Excellent place! They have a wide variety of Polish beers and staff is very courteous and helpful. Good amount of seating too. Did not have the food but noticed they had a veggie and vegan option so will try that out the next time I am there.
Y. E.
Good polish food and drinks. It is laid out somewhat strangely with a place to order at a server's station instead of a counter. It may be hard to figure that out. Cold salad bar with cucumber salad, beet salad, lettuce salad, and pickles - not bad. The kielbasa could have been a bit more grilled but tasted good. Lots of seating in the back.
V. I.
Overall it's great place - casual atmosphere, great food and big variety of Polish beers and vodkas. If you expect a fancy restaurant, that's not the one. If you're looking for a casual and fun place to get smashed with friends - that's definitely more like it :)
T. T. Y.
Food is priced very reasonably and salad is free when you order the main course.
The atmosphere is like you're dinning in a warehouse.... Cool!
The food is good and portion is large, mainly pork dishes like roasted pork, pork belly and pork goulash
B. D.
Really delicious food with big portions(also very affordable prices). Staff is really nice as well(special thanks to Majieta!) Can't wait to come back!
S. P.
Excellent menu and freindly service.
M. K.
I bring all my friends there to try the food and it seems to me half of london does as well! Great value for money and the vodkas are a major selling point. Too bad so many people caught on and it now gets very busy in the evenings/weekends.
M. N.
Delicious and relatively affordable for London.
M. S.
Decent place. Food was incredibly tasty - although the portions felt pretty small for the price - and service was a bit slow, despite us popping in on a quiet Wednesday during lockdown.
M.
Great polish place on the London map! Good location and great food. We were welcomed and served by Adrian, very chatty and attentive guy, we’ll definitely be back!
L. D.
Great Polish food (generous portions) at a reasonable price!
D. P.
We were attracted by the thought of some proper Polish/Eastern European food and the website of the restaurant is well-made and fun to browse. It is very easy to locate, at the Elephant & Castle roundabout. About 3/4 full for Sunday lunch. There are single tables as well as long tables with benches. It is more of a canteen-type place than a restaurant and unfortunately we were not told that we have to order at the bar and then look for our order number on a screen in the corner, so we wasted a few minutes trying to sort that out and then about 20-25 minutes waiting for our food. The atmosphere was lively and there was some pop music playing (a bit loud). Although nearer the window the atmosphere was probably nicer, we were sitting towards the inside of the restaurant, near the emergency exit and it was clear that the place could definitely use a lick of paint (and replacement of some of the furniture). The food was fairly good - the solid, gut-busting Polish fare that was advertised. Our potato pancakes were a bit burned and it seemed that the frying oil was old. The chicken Devolay didn't seem recently fried as the breading was pretty hard. However, they both tasted pretty good, as did the schnitzel. Did remind me of canteen dining once again though. Desserts are overpriced and the meals are not particularly cheap although the portions of the main meals are large. There is little service (you order and then collect the food yourself), so not much comment there. We might come again if we are in the area.
W. P.
Tasty and authentic polish cuisine
Z. D.
Amazing place. The pierogis are very authentic. The carot salad is otherworldly. The staff on the evening of 6.7.20 were incredible. This has always been one our favorite restaurants. Thanks Mamuska!
C. A.
Super tasty Polish food. Really lovely staff working there too. Great selection of beers too. Highly recommended.
I had a selection to Pierogi and they were delicious.
X. H.
Me and my friend went there yesterday and I must say the food was delicious!! I just wish the food was more hotter and also I wish that they have more variety of food to choose on the menu , but apart from that the place was amazing ! Yummy tasty food and great specius place to be ! Definitely will be back there soon again ! 😋👍
S. W.
Great service and really nice home cooking.
A. L.
Delicious authentic food at a very reasonable lunch time price and fast service! What is there not to like about that? Highly recommend going if you want to get your fix of Polish food!
N. F.
Very kindly staff, absolutely amazing and delicious food!!! The place is a bit poor...
Very good time
E. T.
Still a great restaurant with great staff. Not the old Mamuska in Elephant and Castle though...just not the same atmosphere. They also ran out of all beers I wanted until I just told them to give me one.. Food was good. Would recommend.
K. N.
The venue is very nice, and the food was great cooked at the time and the wait wasn't that long tbh. There is a nice selection of food and portion sizes are great me and my fiancee were both rolling back home cause we were that full. Nice selection of polish vodka and beer. And of course "PIEROGI" got my two boxes packed with me for lunch tomorrow. Overall very happy with the place and food. Took one star as I believe they should have more than one toilet available and maybe make the toilet seat slightly lower 🙈🙊😂 other than that we will defo be coming back with more family and friends, cheers guys !
A. M.
Interstellar value for money. Exceptional food at amazing prices. Great beers, very friendly service, relaxed atmosphere. Specifically, the pork neck was great. You definitely need to indulge in the large selection of vodkas, the hot honey vodka was very good.
S. D.
Enjoyable and authentic polish food. I loved the pierogi. Large amount of food suitable for vegetarians/vegans but the seating area was very strange, cold and industrial. Felt a bit like a ship or a prison canteen - but still go for the food! Also the kompot was delicious
O. H. G.
Cool place. Great pirogis (fried beef the best) and beer. Excellent service. Would definitely come back.
M. L.
Huge portions of delightfully mouthwatering comfort food at a very reasonable price :)
S. M.
I'm no expert on polish food, but I had a thoroughly enjoyable meal here. The food came quickly and was tasty and filling. The staff were also friendly.
A beer and a main will cost you around 13-15 quid.
H. H.
Food is amazingly fresh and yummy (had dumplings and chicken liver with mash potatoes), and the polish beet soup is so authentic and tasty. The staff and boss are so welcoming, smiley and friendly. I will be a regular from now on.
L. N.
OMG!! and can I just say well.... I cannot cook, but I’ve ordered your frozen pierogi and it tastes AMAZING! I will definitely be ordering lots of frozen pierogi again!! Love it!! and tastes exactly like in the restaurant which is great during the lockdown. But also missing you guys being open! Can't wait to come back when it's open again! Best polish food in London :) And the friendliest of staff and owner I have met.
E. M.
Great place for good value breakfast or brunch with very friendly service
S. L.
The format of the restaurant is such a good idea. It's quick, reasonably priced, spacious and the food is delicious. There is also quite a few alcohol drinks options. It's really suitable for families or big groups. It's not just for meat eaters, there is vegetarian dishes as well.
N.
Good place in London to try some Polish food. There is no waiting service here, you order at the till where you can customise all your dishes with different type of salads and sides and then you get your food from a counter when ready (they let you know by a number in your ticket)
We've had Polish food several times before and this was not the best nor the worst. It was good. The best thing we had were the leek and carrot salad and the warm beetroot one.
The meat pierogies were very nice as well
We did not enjoy the sauce that came with the beef cheeks. The cheeks themselves were excellent, super tender but the sauce ruined it for us.
S. G.
The food was great, the service was good and the staff were really friendly. However the interior is a bit odd as it looks like your in a mine shaft canteen rather than a central london restaurant, but I think that was just the style they're going for and it's under the Waterloo station bridge, so cant complain.
D. M.
I was a little disappointed with this restaurant. I booked a table for me and my family. When we got there, I realised that I needn't had booked at all, the place was very big and there were lots of tables. The menu was presented in a newspaper format, which I thought was quite cool but felt a bit annoyed that we had to go to the front of house to order our meals. I could have overlooked this if it wasn't for the fact that half the food (i.e burgers for the kids) on the menu was not available. Having said this, the food that we did eat was very good, so no complaints there. While eating my meal, I was a bit put off by the loud background music, honestly, I really do hate that in a place to eat, if I wanted loud music, I would have gone to a nightclub!
A. A.
The food was very good
I particularly enjoyed the dumplings with bacon & onion on top
I would definitely come again, I can imagine in none covid times that the place would be packed and the atmosphere in the arch incredible!
B. G.
Really enjoyed the pierogi and will be back again. Like the other reviews say, it's a bit cold so wear your coat. Would be a great place to go with a group of mates though as there are long tables, great food, and lots of beer!
M. W.
Very nice location, service and food was great. Was served by Adrian who was very chatty and polite and also by Marta new girl on the team. Definitely thumbs up, I would recommend to anyone.
K. M.
The chef is a pro! Perfect place to try traditional Polish cuisine - tastes like at your mom's. ;) The staff, design and music gives the place a fresher, a bit alternative vibe. Recommend!
m. p.
If you jave not been there yet, it is time to go. Very good Polish food. Try pierogi, schbowy or Goulash!
J. B.
Popular among people of various nationalities. Always great soups and classic Polish dishes on offer. For £30 you'll easily feed two hungry people (including soft drinks). Also good selection of less known Polish beers which are more pricey but definitely worth trying!
A. M. M.
Great food for reasonable price (used to be cheaper though)
P. B.
Great place. Awesome customer service. Great food. Highly recommended
T. M. T.
Nice good food very good portion you will not go hungry home from this place nice spotless clean serving 5* polite, and they pay attention to your order me an my girlfriend after 5 times being here i can honestly say its one of the best places to eat in London i have been served by Magda she is also the GM., and Adrian i wish them all the best we will be back next week as well thanks again gor the good food and nice ambience very specious place
J. J.
Im so glad that this restaurant surviving amazing food, drinks and ofcourse staff .
One person in particular deserve recognition gentlemen called Maciej attentive and so polite service with the big smile (even with facial cover) wonderful experience keep up goodwork guys and hopeto see you very soon <3
M. F.
It used to be such a great place to eat! But now not only the food quality went bonkers but the prices went bonkers too. It is kind of understandable and to be expected really but if you are going to charge high street prices then at least have table service available and don't expect people to clean after themselves! I wonder if all the negative changes are because the Elephant and Castle Shopping Centre is scheduled to close down?
On a positive note, good size portions :)
C.
Good home cooked traditional food. Will definitely go again!
W. Y.
Excellent portion sizes. Food had a lot of flavour. My favourite was the beef cheek dish as it was melt-in-the-mouth tender. Absolutely wonderful addition to the my personal London food repertoire.
R. R.
Nice hearty food and very good value, perfect for a winter evening. It was my first visit and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly in helping me understand the process, as it is a canteen style restaurant. Really fantastic customer service. Great place for a casual meal and excellent venue for groups but quite noisy as it is also a bar so not for you if you're looking for a quiet meal.
M. Z.
Hearty Polish cuisine including all the staple dishes (the bigos and the potato pancakes with goulash a particular highlight), a free salad bar and a great selection of Polish lagers and craft beers. The staff can be pretty brusque and grumpy, just like you’d expect them to be. I’ll definitely come back again!
M. P.
Very good food for the price. The food is homely, warm and very filling. The portions quite large. The place is quirky but take a coat, a bit cold. Space enough for big groups. The staff is very friendly.
P. P.
It's a genuine and fantastic place. Huge portions for little price. Great beer too. One of my favourite places - now reopened near Waterloo station, the venue is great! Trying it out is a must!
D. H.
I can only reiterate the comments of the people above. Great food, especially the Bigos, great staff, the waitress who went out of her way to explain some of the more obscure Polish items on the menu needs to be commended and all at a reasonable price. They also have a great selection of vodka.
I found the menu layout on the tables confusing, my inexperience of this establishment will be overcome when we next visit.
I heartily recommend Mumshka to anyone
L. G.
Unfortunately it wasn't nice and delicious dinner we expected.... Food and atmosphere is not the same to compare to old Mamuska! I have ordered the placki ziemniaczane with the pork stew , the stew was ok . But the placki were burned and raw inside.... It doesn't feel like traditional polish restaurant it used to be
M. D.
Violeta and Emilia are superstars, best food in last couple of months, they made our evening unforgettable, highly recommended
D. K.
Very nice people and not to crowded but food!!! Amazing!!! They cook better than my Mum! Highly Recommended not only for Polish people
B. S.
Nice little find. Loved the restaurant layout. The food is cheap, hearty and plentiful. The salad bar was also very nice. If in the area again I would certainly come here again.
K. R.
Tasty food and friendly staff
R. O.
Very cool place - great location, interior - traditional menu bug in very international and easygoing friendly version.
Service a bit slow on the day - echo of music and chatter combined with facemasks made communucation a bit tricky but we got there in the end.
E. H.
Very good polish / Easter European food. After a trip in Russia I went to this place and it did delivered well. The bigos dish was amazing good portion size and lot of flavour. The service is good as well.
J. D.
Authentic dumplings on the menu, but the flavours didn't blow my mind. Buckwheat side dish was tasty. Lots of polish beers to choose from. Seating is arranged in long tressle tables so you might have to sit with strangers. Recommend booking a table on a Friday/Saturday if you're in a group.
S. L.
Lovley industrial decor, great traditional food with attention detail. And absolutely amazing service from taking a reservation, to Adrian's service who assessed our needs with greatest care.
H. E.
A hidden gem tucked away in the Waterloo arches. Cool vibe and great Polish food and drink. Pierogi and beer are excellent.
J.
Authentic polish food. Really nice rustic feel. It was quite confusing as to how we were supposed to order or if we should pick up our order. But otherwise really good experience and amazing food
S. Q.
Big, casual Polish eaterie with a funky industrial chic. Food is tasty and authentic- generous portion sizes at reasonable prices. Interesting range of beers and spirits. Good place for a casual meetup with friends for food and drinks.
B. P.
Went along with Polish friend from work. She found it very authentic and enjoyed herself. I was less impressed. Staff were lovely, and venue was clean and relaxed, I just didn't enjoy my food. Personal preference thats all
M. T.
I had a very tasty lunch here. Very reasonable price for lunch, a good location, and friendly staff. They have a great range of beers (honey Łomża!) and vodkas too.
D. M.
One of my favourite places to eat. Generous portions of hearty Polish comfort food at reasonable prices. The food comes quickly and the staff are friendly. Good selection of bottled beers too!
S. N.
I am editing this following the change in location from E&C to Leak Street;
The food is good for a decent price, about £9 for a dish, but sides are expensive (2£ for an extra slice of bread with your £3 soup, 10 pierogi for £8.4), food is ready very fast.
Clean tables, toilets are passable but this is likely due to the fact that the place is still being worked on.
The atmosphere is greatly impacted by the sheer size of the room that you sit in, making everything feel far apart and the dining experience is definitely not as good as before, once again I was reassured this was being worked on.
Good for small groups as big plates can be shared, but sadly no student discounts after the change in location.
I recommend mamuśka if you're after a larger dish with a lot of meat!
I particularly recommend the Gulasz.
P. N.
Great food and affordable. Good choice for dinner
G. C.
Lovely friendly helpful staff.
Good for after work beers and food.
Very popular with the local polish community, but not exclusive. Everyone's made to feel welcome. One of my favourites for more manly, wholesome dishes.
K. D.
Staff have great communication skill, with some humor, overall we liked the place, but the meals were too big, one portion is big enough for two. The music came from ceiling speakers which i felt were turned up way too loud. All in all the place is a treasure and well worthy of a visit.
J. D.
Good value, very pleasant environment. Excellent selection of Polish beer and vodka. Mostly the food was nice - pierogies and smalec were both tasty - but I was a bit disappointed by the placki, which were rubbery (though the mushroom sauce was tasty)
A. B.
This is no nonsense polish food. Simple but tasty polish dishes in a canteen style eatery. The menu is varied and has some polish classics like pierogi and bigos and the portion sizes are big enough to fill you up for the rest of the day. It's cheap and cheerful and they have a fantastic selection of polish vodkas and beers. I can fully recommend trying the polish flavoured vodkas as they're all delicious!
D. M.
This was my first time going to a polish restaurant in London and I've gotta say I was pretty impressed.
The food we had, (borsch, salad, pierogi and latke) were all amazing, there was a pretty good selection of polish beer and the prices were actually quite reasonable for London.
I was a little disappointed that the appetizer I wanted was sold out, but I guess that's just the restaurant business for you: first come, first serve.
The one thing that disappointed me, apart from the lack of pickles, was that they used HELMANS mayonnaise, instead of a polish majonez.
P. C.
The food and the service here is excellent. Our waiter Adrian is very personable and ensured that we had a really good time.
A. 9.
Very good selection of honest Polish food on offer with daily soups being very good value at 3£. Dishes could use bit more spices imo, however they do provide all usual condiments so you can make it your way. Great selection of Polish beers including less known brands that are most definitely worth exploring.
R. C.
Fantastic food for a decent price. Waiting times vary, food came out with a fair gap between my girlfriend and my orders. Would not recommend opting for the honey beer. Sickly sweet, lacked subtlety.
s. F.
For my chicken breast steak there was no mushroom sauce ...take away but taste was good.
A. L.
Amazing food! Emilia and Anka were friendly and great.
D. m.
Brilliant food, brilliant atmosphere, brilliant service.
Adrian was cheeky and cheerful. Everything tastes amazing and the food is delicious.
Best polish restaurant in London.
J. S.
One of the best places I ate in London.
A. B.
Great traditional polish food,great service!
J. L.
Good food, authentically Polish in a modern alternative setting. Fair prices.
L. B.
Nice restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. Service is challenging bc there's no counter to greet customers, just a few employees and a couple of registers and you have to find a waiter, have the waiter explain to you how everything works, study the menu while you just stand in the middle of the entry area, order, pay, go and wait...just comes off irritatingly inefficient and awkward; they need to figure out a better flow. The space is fun--looks like the Penguin's hideout.
X. S.
It's not fine dining. It's not swanky. But in terms of tastey food, quality, service and value for money, it gets my vote.
If you feel like a home cooked meal, at an affordable price, this is this place to eat. It's my lunch time go to place.
J. J.
One of the best restaurants with authentic polish food.
Try the "Ruskie pierogi" is the best dish ever.
O. B.
Very beautiful inside, very good polish food
T. F.
Good food at sensible prices.
R. A.
Unfortunately, I was not satisfied after my last visit with my partner, whom I wanted to show the place with Polish cuisine. I took a chilled soup (chłodnik) that was good. It could serve with eggs like in Poland. For the second course I had potato pancakes (placki ziemniaczane) that were fried in not fresh oil and were burnt. Later I had problems with my stomach.
C. B.
Had wonderful dumplings and sausage and Russian salad served to us by Maciek a.k.a. Aladdin in a very friendly manner. Come out and give these guys some business ! They are really struggling with this covid .
J. K.
We've been visiting this place since they were still occupying a small venue in Elephant & Castle. The food is absolutely amazing, quality is superb and the staff are very friendly. Always a 5-star experience!
A. M.
Not too impressed, generally a good vibe but food is not great - mashed potatoes are poor (feels dry and old, don’t order) and we got an unexpected extra item on our bill
A. K.
Surely one of the best Polish restaurants in London.
S. W. M.
I come here a lot for the good value food and wide selection of beer and vodkas. Sometimes the food can be a bit hit and miss, but for the majority of the time, I'm more than happy. When I'm not, the selection of alcoholic beverages more than makes up for it. Staff are friendly and boss is always around who likes to have a chit chat.
S. C.
Top of the notch customer service from Magic especially during these hard times of cornavirus he made feel safe, welcome and wanting to come back to the restaurant. This gentleman is the definition of above and beyond customer service effortlessly.
o. m.
i really like this place, the chef was a good lad, took pride in his job. the food, good sized portions, tasty, a good example of polish food. tasted like cooking i've had round my polish brothers house.
the pork was tender and the chicken livers in the creamy sauce was a rich dish, it was properly lovely. I recommend both of those for sure.
also they sell a beer called GRAND IMPERIAL PORTER!! Browar Amber. this beer is smashing!
i was disappointed they didnt have the deep fried cheese, if they'd had that, for sure a six star rating.
go here for a good home cooked style meal its very good value. just be aware, i think they do run out of certain popular dishes so have an alternative to hand when you order, which you have to go to the counter to do. once you've ordered, and paid, you return to your seat, and then they let you know when your meal is ready. you then go to the collect your food from the kitchen counter, and tuck in once its prepared. simple, its probably how they keep the prices low. as it is very reasonably priced here.
M. K.
Best Polish food in London. Big portions for relatively low price. The venue itself is also quite interesting - it's located in the old train station
T. A.
Great prices, very nice service. You eat Polish food as if you were bei mama polski. If you are thursty, there are so many different vodkas to try.
J. W.
Great choice of authentic Polish dishes at more than affordable prices. Last time I decided to try Goulash and I really liked it. The waitresses are friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this place.
L. K.
Polski Food next to London Eye! Worth a visit!
P. M.
Authentic Polish peasant fare. Cheap, piled high. Use Maggi for seasoning. I adored it. Perfect lads out place, not sure it's a place to impress but it is what it says on the label. Congratulations, couldn't change a thing without spoiling it.
S.
Ordered twice from Amazon Restaurants, all dishes were amazing! way beyond expectations for the price. Hopefully I've be able to visit as well.
A. J.
Great food and friendly staff plus a wonderful atmosphere, would totally recommend and visit again.
J. W.
Very good Polish food. I recommend pierogi the most
J. C.
Great Polish food option right near Waterloo Station. Wide variety of polish beer and vodka to enjoy with your meal. The vodka slushes felt like a rip off as they seemed light on the vodka.
M. K.
This is our second visit here. Fantastic Homemade pierogies and kremowka. Service is great too. Adrian made sure we were well taken care of.
K. H.
It's a very relaxed place with great big portions of very good food. Meaty and potatoey, Polish food makes perfect hangover cure. Good selection of bottled beers also. Don't be put off by the location, definitely worth a visit!
K. (. s.
i had pierogi with beef meat. they were outstanding. don't recommend fried ones (they taste funny) boiled ones are just perfect. Kompot was good too.
W. S.
Amazing place, huge portions and good prices! I will definitely come again with my boyfriend to show him how amazing polish food can be!
Well done everyone.
M. A.
Very authentic with a nice contemporary layout. Staff were very helpful with truthful recommendations I will definitely be visiting again when in the area
M. C.
Used to be my favorite place but they but prices up so it is not as good value as it used to be. Don't get me wrong still relatively affordable 8-9 pounds for mains, but used to be 6£ for everything. The current price is more like towards a restaurant you go once in a while rather than a cheap 'bar mleczny' where you could eat nearly every day.
A. A.
Great food, fantastic staff! Full recommendation!
A. P.
Amazing service, amazing food! Big thumbs up for Anka and the team!
A. W.
Great Polish dishes with a very authentic homely taste. Good service and relaxed no-frills atmosphere. Reasonable prices.
J. B.
Had a lunch stew special here with complimentary fruit juice and salad. Delicious. And for six pounds, excellent value. Will definitely be coming back again.
H. J. K.
One of my favorite restaurants in London. Affordable, tasty, and with a brilliant beer selection, to boot. Stay clear of the vodka slushies though - those things are delicious but downright lethal 😂
W. (.
Their menu is a newspaper. You find your own seat. Then you go up to the kitchen order your food and then when it's ready you get your own food as well. The food was ok. I was in the mood for some pierogies and definitely disappointed as these were under cooked and tasteless.
R. P.
Really genuine and friendly restaurant with a great polish beer selection. If you haven't tried a pierogi you haven't lived!
Another comment suggested the staff ignore them, but they must have missed the 6foot instructions on the wall saying to order at the beer bar, seat yourself and wait for your number...
R. F.
From its earliest days as a basic bar mleczny on the upper level of Elephant and Castle shopping centre, we've intermittently tracked the progress of Mamuska, half admiring it, half wishing the food could be as good as Cafe Maya in Hammersmith (our benchmark for Polish grub in London).
Our latest visit, and first to its latest incarnation in Waterloo, reveals a hangar-sized space more akin to a bierkeller, with greater prominence given to the booze side of the business, and a space pump-primed for weekend partying. Cosy it is not, but the success of the business from those humble beginnings is undoubtedly impressive. Food is much as it ever was: solid if unexceptional, with a heavy hand on the salt. Price-wise it's no longer quite the steal it once was, either, but that's Brexit-era London for you.
It's a great format, though - with its strong branding, zippy service and upbeat ambience, it's not hard to imagine it being rolled out to sites across the country.

Entertaining place. Polish food self-served under a giant railway arch at Waterloo. Posh it ain't, but the food is good and the prices are very reasonable for Central London. Pleasant staff too.

This is our 2nd visit. Food was bland tasting as the first time before, most of their dishes/desserts were out and it was kinda too expensive for what you are getting. Otherwise staff was friendly, area was clean as well as the toilets.

The weekday GBP6 set lunch is good value for money. Had the roasted pork and pork stew, both with mashed potatoes. The food was well executed and we enjoyed it!

Interesting dining experience, no table service, you order at the counter and they give you a tray. A bit unpolished and canteen feeling, it could really do with a refit but great for what it is, and not expensive either.
Vodkas are dangerous.

As half my family are Polish, I was delighted to find a Polish restaurant round the corner from my work - and in general, it's served me very well. The menu is somewhat limited if you are vegetarian or vegan ; there's only pierogi, vegan bigos and some potato dishes that are available to non meat-eaters. Since I'm no longer eating meat, it limits the options.
However, I have been there when I did eat meat and if you're a carnivore, Mamuska is very much worth the visit. From schabowy to pork gulasz and beyond, it's good Polish fayre. There are a number of familiar Polish beers available, though these aren't particularly cheap - but very much in keeping with London pricing.
Customer service has varied somewhat in the past but my last visit was very good. It's largely self-service too.
Overall, definitely worth a visit if you like meat and a laid-back atmosphere.
