Reviews of Maple Leaf
C. N.
Vibrant and welcoming place. Lots of on tap drinks from around the world. They are of course London priced (they are steps from the theatre district) but you go here expecting that, I think. Disappointingly, I went here to maybe snap up some food too but the kitchen was closed 😕 Otherwise, nice pint of its namesake, loads of sport on TV and a nice atmosphere.
N. S.
Nice pub with good Canadian food and beer options. Tried their classic poutine and felt it could do with a little more seasoning. They also have many TV screens however they weren't playing live football when I went.
J. H.
Always a favourite of mine as it's in a great part of London and it has wonderful cocktails and beer from back home! They show all the big sports games too and their new outdoor area is great! Highly recommend trying a Caesar cocktail (similar to Bloody Mary for those unfamiliar with it) or a Moosehead lager.
A. S.
This is a great pub and a hidden gem near Covent Garden. We needed somewhere for drinks after work. Most of the usual places were over crowded, but this place is really large and well spread out. They also have a great range of beers and wines. We will be using this place in future.
T. S.
We've been having our Superbowl here for the last 7 years (minus 1 Covid year) and the organisation is always great.
Coming in on a normal day though is always decent, good food and good beers and probably going to be some sport you didn't expect is on that's worth watching :)
B. D.
A great pub to go to after work!
Great atmosphere !! Always buzzing and never boring. Great music & good/ fast food.
Service is great!
D. P.
Nice location just far enough away from Covent Garden not be to busy, with a fairly basic but tasty food menu. Listen to the staff though a nachos table sharer is plenty for 4 - it's huge :-)
M. B.
Maple leaf is a great sports bar. I have been here all the times it's been busy and never had disappointed me. They also do great Canadian style food.
The manager Logan is a really nice guy to know, a great chat. Seems like all the staff they hire are really nice in helping!
Would recommend!
A. J.
I visited the Maple Leaf last weekend with some friends and was so impressed with the atmosphere and how attentive staff were at such a busy time of the year. Wide selection of drinks to suit my whole party, and the chicken wings were delicious!
J. G.
Good atmosphere with screens showing different sports including American sports (NHL, NBA, NFL etc).
Not too expensive either for central.
d. a.
great pub, amazing bartenders.Makes me feel at home even though I'm not even Canadian. Give Ali and Michael my thanks for their amazing service and being a real ones😄😩
mmmmm maple leaf
T. F.
The best Canadian bar in London. Authentic poutine, Canadian beer, deep fried pickles, the list goes on. They also offer an authentic Canadian caesar for £7.75! This is seriously a must do for any Canadian ex-pats or those who love the food.
The atmosphere was great, very welcoming and cozy.
H. A.
Great atmosphere and even better poutine. Staff are very attentive and a good variety of beers and snacks. Chicken wings lovely.
A. D.
Excellent bar to go to with friends. The poutine is ok. It is not the best coming from Quebec but it is still decent. The staff were very friendly and the drinks were reasonably. The bar is packed when we went which was a great sign.
T. Y.
Nice Canadian NHL Ice Hockey themed Sports Bar near Covent Garden. Went yesterday to watch Tottenham in the Champions League. Great selection of HD screens/viewing points. Staff were nice and friendly. Great selection of Beers. If a little expensive - Pint of Maple Leaf Lager was £6, Pint of Blue Moon was £5.75. Would have given a 5star rating but felt the Bar food was average at best. Wings were Ok - nicely spiced in Buffalo sauce but felt some of the wing pieces were a bit 'fatty' (not greatest adjective there!) in texture/consistency. Nachos were 'meh' - Doritos with melted cheddar and some salsa. All in all, RECOMMEND.
A. H.
I was a little disappointed as I was given the incorrect informatiom about a table being available. However, I managed to get a table with my family (as we'd been recommend the food) and when we did it was great. The service was brilliant (an item was left off one of the meals and we was offered a free drink and lots of apologies).
I'll definitely head back when we're in London again.
R. D.
An American style sports bar with a superb selection of Canadian beers. Perfectly situated in covent garden but without the outrageous prices.
R. T.
Definitely one of our favorite bars in London! We go here for "finger food", good drinks and a nice atmosphere! Great for every sports fan for American Football, Formula 1 and many other sports! "Oh Canada!" Definitely going there again next London visit!
W. C.
Had a great lunch there. Proper burgers and chips. Pints came in good ole fashioned tulip glasses. The staff are super friendly. Felt very covid safe there. They even took time out to fuss over my dog. Great team of guys and girls there. Thanks to everyone.
G. S.
Great atmosphere, we booked a table in advance for the League Cup Final. Management was really accommodating
A. F.
Good sports bar atmosphere. The bar menu certainly looks inviting, so when I revisit I'll be definitely eating there as well.
D. F.
Great food, very helpful staff, a small taste of Canada in the middle of London. Visited end of July during the pandemic, so very quiet around.
M.
Went there today for the 1st time for lunch with a friend. Really impressed with the 2 young women who work there. So friendly, professional and clearly hard working. Food was great as well. Will defo be back.
J. B.
Lovely atmosphere, great selection of sports to watch on numerous screen and reasonable prices for London.
M. A.
If, like me you have always wanted to try poutine, then this is the place to go, you will not be disappointed.
The atmosphere is really good and the food excellent.
They have different sports on different screens at the same time, so all fans are catered for.
The gents toilets are a little quirky too!
L. T.
Very casual and laid back sports bar with regular pub food. Good prices. Can't compare poutine as never had before but it tasted good. Wings were good but nachos poor. And they sell clamato juice.
J.
Absolutely love love LOVE this place. Great atmosphere every time I've been! Food is always banging and the selection of drinks are fab. Staff are always super friendly too. Must try!!!
f.
Excellent food. The gammon, eggs and chips were awesome. Quick service and well priced. Loved the decor. Staff welcoming and friendly.
N. J.
Really nice friendly place. Staff are great, funny and helpful.
Food isn't prepared on site, So alterations are a like difficult. But work it the food is good.
I recommend the Corn Dogs and Poutine.
C. S.
Great selection of authentic Canadian beers, but the food isn’t what it used to be. This used to be the place to go for wings in London - it’s not anymore.
M. H.
Great bar. Mighty food portions (I may have grossly underestimated how much food you’d get for that price in central London!). Beer prices are good for the middle of London, making it a good sports bar with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. 100% recommend!
S. W.
Great pub, wouldn’t think you were in London. Large selections of beers, with a strong Canadian theme. The food is always tempting, be sure to have Frank’s hot sauce wings, AMAZING!
E. M.
A Canadian sports bar right in the heart of Covent Garden! Who would have thought?! Truly a fantastic bar with great beer selection and always-on sports. Allows over-flow onto the street, which is great during summer months. Blue moon on tap? Yes please! 🍻
M. W.
Was a nice place to watch the ice hockey World championships. The food is average and the staff is a bit all over the place.
Overheard at the bar:
Employee 1 to E2: "Stop selling people things that aren't on the menu"
Employee 2: "But they have allergies"
Employee 1: "I don't give a f*** what they have they can go elsewhere"
A.
Place feels like home. Nothing tops Canadian beer. However the poutine isn't as good as it should be. The fries are way too thick for a poutine. And that kinda ruins the poutine's flavour.
D. B.
A Canadian themed sports bar in the heart of Covent Garden. A big open bar with lots of wood around. Loads of big screen TV's around so you can catch the latest sport or re runs of the previous nights games.. Friendly and professional service.
L.
Really convivial atmosphere in maple leaf, we enjoyed the Canadian universe
The poutine was a discovery and we loved it !
Such a nice moment.
H. P.
Great spacious pub with extremely friendly service as expected from Canadian hospitality. Good place to watch sports
I can't score higher than 3* as I'm a big fan of quick service, gastropubs with fresh food and ingredients (no processed foods), quality wine list (the white wine I chose was too oxidatedfor my pallete) and constantly clean loos (ladies loos were a little neglected when I last visited probably due to the adjustment to covid related staffing)
G. A.
Great spot to watch the game and feel at home when away from Canada. Sleeman on tap, Moosehead bottles in the fridge and hockey highlights playing on some of the tvs. Also a great spot to watch live sports as it gets very busy and has a great atmosphere.
D. C.
New decorations but same great taste and service. Go for the chicken wings and poutine! They are constantly amazing.
I would highly recommend this place, no matter the occasion.
F. A.
If you wanna enjoy club environment, reasonable drinks and sports bar at the same time go there. DO NOT FORGET TO ORDER A PORTION OF POUTINE!!!
J. C. V.
Great wings and good service!!
I went with some friends.
We loved the wings and the amazing poutine.
Must go on a Monday, as it has a great deal for the wings = 21 for a tenner!! 😉 😉
L. K.
Kitschy, but not in a bad way! If you're a Canadian missing home, or a local just looking to try a Molson, definitely worth the stop. I was shocked that they made poutine as well as they did - I'm sure any traveling Canuck would approve of their take. Friendly staff, and really convenient location.
M. C.
If carlsberg made nachos they would probably be the best in town well worth a visit
E. S.
It was really great to be able to watch the Toronto Maple Leafs play in a pub surrounded by fellow fans. What would have been nicer was if they switched all the TV's to the game that the entire crowd in there was clearly there to see - because they didn't what we thought was a good table was actually awkward to watch the game on and the TV in our face with a basketball game no one was watching was distracting. However, Caesars were nice and spicy (but the gravy on the poutine wasn't hot enough to melt the cheese curds, a little disappointing as you then miss out on the great gooeyness)..
I. W.
Props for giving a very Canadian atmosphere, even in the little things. My only wish is for the food to be more Canadian, and more poutiney. But there are very few places in London that try, so respect to that.
S. P.
Nice bar, actually had Canadians drinking in it 😀
N. M.
Excellent service and food. A taste of home away from home!
A. B.
Great sports bar food with reasonable prices, customer service great every time. Poutine is really good!
J. K.
Very nice and cosy.
S. H.
I love this place. Apart from The Toucan in Soho Square, this is my favourite pub in London.
J. C.
Was a nice place with friendly staff however drinks menu have no prices. We were charged £24.60 for 4 beers
S. M.
Used to be a regular haunt of mine when I lived in London 7 odd years ago.. a couple of layers of paint and full refurb later and it's still a must stop visit when I get up to London. Still stocking Sleeman which keeps me happy 👍 happened to drop by when the Brazil v Mexico game was on... great atmosphere!
S. K.
Great place, friendly staff will go again 😉👍
D. C.
Great pub for watching sports. Came here for champions league final and atmosphere was incredible. Food and drinks were great too. Highly recommend the sleeman honey lager
R. T.
My favourite place in London to drink, eat and watch sport. Always have an incredible time at the Maple Leaf.
P. C.
Atmosphere was great. Staff was great. Drinks were good. Wished I went there before getting food elsewhere. It smelt amazing when people ordered them. I will be coming back there soon. They embraced and showed the Canadian way.
J. T.
Brilliant bar with very friendly staff.
Great for watching sport. Their chicken wings are excellent - as is the poutine
C. K.
Canadian here: pretty decent there bud but could use some rye on the menu
M. D.
Excellent Canadian pub. Good food, great service and the atmosphere is in keeping with bars in Canada.
K. G.
A Canadain bar with alot of sports screens and space, however somewhere along the line in the last years it has lost it's TRUE meaning of Canadian.. Maple Leaf Beer is just Pilsner and Beaver beer is a good ale.. just seems to much of a commercial change then the way it used to be! However staff are great and the vibe is fun.. enjoyed it eh!
D. M.
The waitresses were phenomenal and really added to our experience. The atmosphere is superb and the chicken wings are to die for. A great place to meet friends.
C. C.
The best Poutine of London! And its even better with a cold beer! Cant wait to visit this Pub again.
C. A.
No delicious normal beers like Heineken, Fosters, Carslberg etc.. only less palitable trendy craft swill. Food, location and staff all good. If they sold decent beer it would be excellent, although not doing so keeps the crowds thin, so plenty of room.
P. R.
A great bar, with a good atmosphere, live sports and good beer.
D. C.
Hidden gem, great for live sports. Great range of beers from Canada that you won't see anywhere else in the UK! Food is relatively basic but still very enjoyable....try the Canadian style Poutine. Plenty of space but still feels intimate. Staff are great!
R. (.
The service was really good. Very friendly and the atmosphere was great. The food was delicious. I had the Halloumi Sub and Chips. Definitely worth a visit.
C.
Always love it! Poutine is amazing, wings are delicious, and the beer is reasonably priced!
B. P.
Probably the best sports bar in covent garden 👌
S. P. O. D.
We’ve been here and photographed a lots of clients here as a local photography company and we think that it’s a lovely place with great atmosphere, where you can hang out with friends and drink beer. Definitely recommend.
s. w.
I'm canadian. This place is canadian as frigid uncle car knives. Go here for beer or crisps. So loud I can't hear myself type
K. J.
First trip today for lunch. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were attentive and kind. This is how customer service should be done. The food was delicious especially the Poutine.
We will definitely be returning.
W. L.
Great bar, good food and atmosphere. Live the poutine here
T. V.
Great pub with good food. The poutine was excellent considering we're far away from Canada. Veggie burger was also very good but the Mac&Cheese could've done with a bit more flavour. No big deal, though. The service was pretty fast as well. Good music, not too loud, and if you're a sports fan you won't have to choose your seat carefully - there's always a screen in your view anyway.
R. L.
Still Awesome after 5 years!!! Fun atmosphere and great wings!!
R. B.
Great atmosphere, smashing food, and cheap too!
M. M.
Nice place with nice staff. I wouldn't recommend chips with gravy as it's just that, chips with gravy. Burger was really good. Good prices.
F. A.
Strange little place, found it on a walk about.
Good food, the poutine especially.
Friendly staff good size sports screens. The maple leaf lager was pretty good too.
Would definitely return
J. B.
As a Canadian visiting London, it was awesome to find a bar that played hockey during the playoffs. Food isn't that great, though.
E. g. B. n.
We sat inside, had Maple Leaf beer, chicken wings and poutine (french fries and cheese curds topped with a brown gravy) was OK, TV showing sports, worth to visit at least once.
t. n.
Quite interesting ambient
Friendly bartender
The food is ok but it can improve I'd say descent selection of beer 🍻 maybe. I'd give it 5 if the food be a little bit more cared for
S. B.
Great pub been going for years. They have a new food menu and well worth a visit.
S. V.
Great atmosphere, fantastic food, fantastic service.... Visited on a crazy busy day & got served quickly, tables cleared regularly, toilets clean! Definitely recommend 👍
H. B.
Great Canadian bar near Covent Garden. Good selection of drinks including Canadian beers. Also serve some great Poutine! They have sports on the TV but also play good music. Good for big groups of people
E. A.
This was a handy place to stop for a drink and get out of the sun for a while. The tables were sticky but the atmosphere was friendly and if you like sports this would be a good place to hand out. It looks from the menu boards like Monday while be a good day to go and enjoy beer and chicken wings.
P. L.
I was very happy with the Maple Leaf. They were very accomodating with our lack of booking and also with my request for fries, not chips, in my poutine (cause that's what we put in a poutine 😁). The food was a nice tasty reminder of home. The cheese curds aren't the squeeky authentic ones from back home, but they were good. All in all, it was a nice bit of nostalgia for this homesick Canadian on her birthday.
S. M.
Came here to watch the ice hockey final - there was such an amazing atmosphere, plus the drinks were very reasonable for the area.
J. H.
I had my first poutine and Canadian beer here. It was absolutely outstanding! My Canadian friend said it was the best Poutine he's had outside of Quebec.
The food and drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. The decor and atmosphere was amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful.
I changed my upcoming birthday plans to spend my night here with my mates at the end of August, I cannot wait!
D. S.
Amazing food here! Great place to meet up with friends, the air con was appreciated on a warm sticky day. This is primarily a sports bar so it's possible to get tables with a TV screen but with a friendly atmosphere and lovely staff.
J. S.
Great food, great service, good selection of drinks. All the sport shown and loads of screen, really good atmosphere.
K. G.
Highly recommend great service, food and atmosphere
T. H.
Best poutine in London! Can get a bit crowded but always a good atmosphere!
M. B.
Although the poutine isn’t as up to par as I would have liked, the atmosphere at the Maple Leaf is something else. They have blue moon on tap, televisions close to wherever you are sitting and corn dogs are on the menu and on during sports events it gets pretty packed. Go when it’s quiet (but not too quiet!) - you’ll love it. I’ve been here 5 times already in the space of 4 months.
I. D.
Perfect pub! I'm love it.
N. T.
A great Canadian pub with a wide selection of beers and ciders. Table football and good music make a great atmosphere
B. F.
We first started visiting the Maple Leaf almost 8 years ago as my wife is Canadian and usually end up there at some point on our visits into London. Always a nice friendly welcome and a good pint at a reasonable price. The quality of staff can be a bit hit and miss from visit to visit but as I suppose many are students just getting some cash. Food is always solid and tasty with decent portions at a fair price.
S. M.
A favourite to frequent for sports events. Make sure you get there early else tables and chairs will be sparse. Decent beer selections with some mean food choices. Great music with several screens to choose from.
A. B.
Always a great place to go. G'n'T ungava Gin wow. Great food, great customer service, awesome sound track and sports on TV what's not to love. Oh Canada! I love you. Pop in for a couple of drinks or a meal either always great here.
A. B.
While not really "Canadian" except for a few beers, the hockey, and of course the poutine, the staff are pretty friendly and the pub is comfy. On busy nights it really gets packed, but the atmosphere is pretty good.
This place is starting to become really run-down and filthy, and is really starting to need a bit of refurbishment.
Keep an eye out for some of their guest beers on tap.
J. D.
Nice place for a drink and some stereotypical Canadian culture. But I'm not a fan of the food. As a Canadian living in London, let me tell you that the poutine is exactly what you would expect: a poutine with London ingredients. London chips with watery gravy. It's acceptable if you're trying it for the first time, but it's not a good representation of how good poutine can be. I'd go again for the place but not for the food.
Edit after reply: I wouldn't be averse to trying their other food though! Some of the burgers sounded good
J. V. A.
Simply wonderful, the staff are real Canadians and they're truly respectful and polite. The food was great, I had a poutine and I do recommend it to everyone. Great to watch a "soccer" match and meet people.
S. M.
Excellent atmosphere for watching football, with multiple games on at one time it made for a great midweek night out! Didn't have food, though the helpful staff did ask if we'd like anything, but looking at what others had it looked great.
S. B.
Good wings and the only place in London to get a Caesar! Wouldn't recommend the poutine as they use English style gravy. Beer selection is ok - mostly English ones with a Canadian leaf on them. Love the style of the pub but do not expect to watch a hockey game here.
K. G.
Well worth a visit..the hot dogs were huge 😁
L. W.
Nice venue. If you enjoy nothing more than to sit back and relax with some chicken wings, Canadian beer and watching some nhl ice hockey then you will enjoy this place. Friendly bar staff and atmosphere. Beer quite steep with around 4.50 for a pint but at least it's different and tasty. Food is on the average scale but there is a lot to choose from and they often do deals throughout the week.
N. M.
Really friendly staff, great atmosphere for the football, top food and drink. My go to pub for England games.
K. B.
I enjoyed this theme bar, friendly staff, great selection of unfamiliar drinks, sports on the TV's. Oh Canada ale was very drinkable but there were plenty of other choices on tap and loads of bottles. Prices were not shocking and the food menu was very appealing. I would love to come back here in the not too distant future to have a go at the Poutine.
M. A.
Decent pint and atmosphere if you're looking for a drink any time of the week. Could do with some outside drinks shelves or something similar to accommodate those who want to stand outside.
As there are no windows on the sides / rear, it does end up getting a bit stuffy back there.
A. S.
A great place to feel Canadian in the heart of London! 🇨🇦🤙🏽
E. W.
Shows all the sports and has a great selection of lagers and ales. Food menu is pretty good. Pints are reasonable for the area (about £5.50 a pint) and the staff are always really friendly.
D. B.
Great atmosphere and good food.
T. H.
Great selection of beers available. We also partook of the Burger Meals - which were all fantastic. Loads of screens, showing three different sporting feeds. Will definitely be going back..
A. L.
Nice Canadian sports bar in the centre of London. Food is good but on the heavy side (corndogs, bacon popcorn at similia). Service was nice. If you want to watch a match with your friends this is the right place.
K. K.
The maple leaf has great food! The poutine is delicious and you can't beat the deep fried pickles! Service is always speedy and friendly, especially Monique!
m. B.
Gosh, this place had changed over the year! Sad to see Molsen off draft. But place looks good. Nice Canadian lady behind the bar. Menu has grown. Didn't try anything, but wish we'd come for lunch instead of pizza before!
R. E.
Canadian beer, food, and people! Where can you get any better?
H. 0.
Traveled a distance to meet other Canucks whom I lived with over the years here on Friday night the 19th of July 2019. A super bar, really convivial with great food and drinks. Reminded me of great Canadian days. My only compliant is the service of one bar tender person (male; Nordic or Eastern European) who shouted loudly at a friend and I over his mistaken interpretation of our order, when we politely pointed out the order was slightly off. It wasn’t a big deal for us initially but we were made to feel like fools and threatened with our entire order being cancelled and being made to leave. Quite humiliating, so much so that others unknown to us at the bar asked us as to why the bartender was so tetchy and asked if we were ok. Quite a sad end to a night that was otherwise really memorable.
J. T.
Only been to this place once, but when I did it had a nice ambience to it. This is a Canadian theme sports bar so show a lot of american sports such as NBA, NHL, MLB, NFL and soccer. This please definitely has a Canadian feel to it, with the colours, the beer selection and the music. There is adequate seating within the bar and food is of a high standard. They also have several foosball tables scattered across for people to play on.
T. W. C. B.
Two of us shared the brisket poutine and chicken wings which. Both were very good, they blue cheese sauce was on point.
Staff are really friendly good vibe and the maple leaf lager is decent too.
A. H.
Friendly staff, was nice to not be the only one to say "sorry" when trying to move throughout the (packed) place during the Women's World Cup.
If you want to hear modern country in the background, this is the place to go. Was definitely a nice place to go if you're missing home a bit.
B. K.
Nice and comfortable from the inside although doesn't seem to be totally Canadian (football displayed on TVs). Selection at the bar was a bit disappointing. They don't have any cocktail menu and when asked for some non-alcoholic Canadian drink the bartender didn't know any. Didn't try any food but the Moosehead Pale Ale was good.
H. W.
Since many years we're visiting this pub during our londonstay. Loved it because of the canadien flag and the big crizzly bear inside, which now have moved away. Last stay it was loud playing music, not easy for talking to each other. Maybe because of friday night.
T. G.
First of all, the poutine is amazing. Amazing atmosphere and always pretty crowded. Not really impressed with the selection of Canadian beer (missing Alexander Keith's, pilsner from Saskatchewan, plus some beers from Marco breweries like Big Rock or Unibrew) but they do offer 3 different types of moosehead which would make more sense for the theme. A classic Canadian style pub menu with fast and friendly service. Music is punk rock which I personally find is amazing and somehow fits the theme even with the tacky stuffed moose head. Overall if any Canadian would visit London this bar is a visit if you are ever feeling homesick or depressed. Highly reccomend this.
A.
A good sports bar with multiple Canadian/major events on, aged American rock music playing in the background. Let down by expensive imported (or not for Canadian) bottles over £5 for 330ml. Other local beers on tap were better.
J. F.
Great place to watch sports, get a pint and some poutine! We booked a table here to watch motorsports, they show most major sporting events here and a few more obscure ones. Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. We ended up chatting to some of the other people watching the sport and had a great time. This place has a great atmosphere. Beer is a little on the expensive side, but about average for the Covent Garden area. Food was very good value though, big portions!
H. S.
Interesting selection of Canadian beers, but food was average. Great to be able to see ice hockey on the TV, but they still have to bring punters in with football screens, which is a shame. Toilets not great.
L. D.
Comfy seat, with proper cushion, to watch the football on a variety of screens. Great, reasonably priced food, including a beautiful steak in the mixed grill.
Lovely friendly staff. Nice place to spend a few hours.
E. T.
This is in quite a convenient location for those people interested in a Canadian themed pub. The flag, the bear in a display case, the trophies and souvenirs one would usually buy when visiting the country, they are all here.
The place has an old pub feel and on an early Sunday evening there were still at least 4-5 groups inside enjoying a drink with sports being played on the TV screens.
Drinks were nothing too special, mostly American pints likes Coors etc. The barmaid was friendly but the atmostphere felt a bit too lacklustre. Perhaps they have more patrons during their wings nights etc.
H. P.
i like this place, but they never have the sleemans beer on when i visit, and i generally visit because i want a sleemans beer and forget about all the times ive visited when the beer hasnt been on. service i cant fault really attentive and polite people, but i just want a pint of sleemans
D. K.
Heroes of trade. Hospitality at its best. Massive kudos to Logan and Sam who always provide exceptional service. It’s a pure pleasure to be here when those two guys are behind the busy bar here. You couldn’t wish for better experience.
M. J.
Being married into a canadian family I love coming here for the wings and awesome beer! It's a major plus that they show all the different sports as well.
What's not to love about this place???
R. K.
Perhaps could use a bit more variety on the beer selection, but the poutine was fantastic and the visual ambience was perfect. The country music on the other hand. Ugh. 😣
S. L.
The Canadians are friendly enough but some more friendliness from the staff wouldn't go amiss. It's worth a visit as it doubles up quite nicely as a sports bar.
I. C.
Very busy during televised sporting matches, which equals atmos of course. Hard working staff doing their best to accommodate customers. Right next to Covent Garden if you want to catch a beer and a match while the "other half" is shopping!
H. N.
Friendly atmosphere and nice food
T. C.
Well its okay but nothing special... Clean enough and the food was acceptable even though two of the dishes were out of stock... my chicken was a touch too cold for my liking but all in all not that bad... One thing I must say that most waitresses at the moment don't listen Lime is NOT lemon... don't expect your blue moon to have orange slices either as they don't offer this here. TBH they trade on the Canadian theme too much not enough on the food quality.
M. L.
I've been dying to visit here and it didn't disappoint me. Had my Molson Canadian and kept the bottle as a souvenir. Brought back happy memories of times in Canada. Friendly staff and she asked me about my love of Canada. Well worth a visit.
P. D.
Not a bad little boozer, been here for years.
The plus points, the only Canadian pub I've been to, there is a giant stuffed bear inside, now sadly behind glass, in the old days he always had something stuffed in his mouth.
The bad points, it's always ROASTING in here, so oppressive, I visited at 1pm on a weekday, I was the only person in there, this is in the middle of Covent Garden, maybe other people didn't fancy a sauna!
Funnily enough the beer is cold when served, then molten within 5 minutes. Also, sticky glasses, nice touch!
Staff seemed good, nice and chatty, and there was lots of sport variety on the many TV's.
I'll go again when feeling chilly and in the need to avoid crowds!
C. M.
Easily one of the best places to hang out in Covent Garden. Nice staff who pay attention and serve quickly and the food is great. Easily up there with the best chicken wings you can get!
G. C.
I am from Canada and was on holiday in London three weeks ago and decided to try this place. The best thing I can say is that it was okay. Nothing like the sports bars back home. Really lacking in a selection of Canadian beer and the food was a far cry from what I would call Canadian pub fare. Poutine with shredded cheese? Come on guys! Are cheese curds not available in the UK? Wings were okay, but not spicy enough. Jalapeno poppers and deep fried zuchini (courgette) sticks would have been nice. But I have to admit that nobody does fries (chips) better than the Brits!
Ambiance was a bit campy and corny relying too heavily on tired stereotypes, but that is to be expected in a foreign country I guess.
J. V.
Perfectly delicious, affordable comfort food! Great bar, food and atmosphere - I really enjoyed it here and loved the poutine! Staff were really friendly and attentive. Top marks
D. M.
For a first Canadian bar, this place is amazing. Great staff
R. M. S.
My girlfriend and I have adopted this as our 'local'; they have a good beer selection (I always go with the Frothy Beaver I-P-Eh), and while she gets the BBQ burnt ends poutine I'll get the chicken wings (you can get a kilogram! I have!) and we'll try to watch five different sporting events at one time. You don't even realize it's a Greene King pub.
J. D.
They have a beer called the Frothy Beaver. It is delicious. Everyone is remarkably pleasant in here. Only downside is there were some sports on the TV that I couldn't really work out, but it was fun trying to make some sort of sense out of it all.
S. B.
Perfect place to watch the sport and have bar snacks, good atmosphere and staff are helpful
p. w.
Good beer selection, food to fill you you up - not noteworthy but by no means bad - friendly bar staff. Great for American sports (especially Sunday's for NFL)
B. C.
Fantastic. We watched the Bruins win the Stanley Cup (circa 2011). Food is wonderful, prices more than reasonable. Atmosphere is FRIENDLY. Wife, a Canadian, enjoys it even more as "I can understand them, eh". Will return Sept. 2013. Hope they will show pre-season games.
Boston Bob and Pat
K. P.
Found this bar when wandering around covent garden . Quiet during the day . Really comes alive in the evening . Has ice hockey and other sports on the tvs but sound is received via an app on your phone this means that you can have a conversation without shouting .
Good range of native and imported beers . Havent tried the food . A must for any canooks or people who have visited Canada and are missing that wonderful country .
G. L.
I frequently popped into the Maple Leaf a few years back and always enjoyed myself. Great atmosphere and was always busy. Food was good but the Canadian sports on the TV was always great to watch.
I.
Good atmosphere and a good place to watch NFL, although they didn't have the sound for the game on (though to be fair it was a Saturday night). Just wish they stayed open longer!
V. C.
It's hard to find a Caesar in London so love the fact that they do a pretty classic one here! I've only had their wings (6 for £5.99), which you can choose between 4 flavors - BBQ, Spicy BBQ, Sweet Chili and Hot Hot Hot. We opted for the HHH and while the wings were fried well and the coating was good the homemade blue cheese was incredibly bland (it was also £2.99 extra!). Their prices seem a bit high, even for London but I'm at their mercy when I'm in the mood for a Caesar.
G. S.
Lovely staff. Good environment. Lots of tvs to watch the football games. The food is to die for. Those chicken wings with barbecue sauce blow my life away.!
S. C.
Super friendly staff, great poutine and delicious Caesars 👌
E. B.
Had a great time here the other night. Beers were priced decently, but this place was a sauna. Tons of people inside and out. Almost impossible to hear someone across the table talking because it's so loud.
B. M.
Really nice sports bar to start in for a night out. Usually call in early in the day for a few leisurely beers as we watch the football..Decent pun food and selection of beers to..Selection of different sports is also quite enjoyable! Price is reasonable too considering the Covent Garden location..
R. C.
This homage to all things Canadians in the heart of central London is a quaint place to grab a pint of Molson Canadian or even a coveted (and superior in every way to its cousin the bloody Mary) Ceasar.
Bedecked with plenty of red maple leaves hockey sticks and a plethora of flat screens to watch the latest football match or hockey game.
The maple leaf is a neat little spot for ex oats to get themselves a wee taste of home or for locals to dip their toe in some of the more gauche parts of the Canadian experience.
L. S.
It's an ice hockey sports bar. Shows other sports but the walls are covered in hockey memorabilia and it has a great atmosphere good picky food and Canadian beer.
H. C.
What a great canadian pub! Friendly staff, good food (well it looks good, never tried it) good drinks selection, great location, sports on TV. Lots of canadian memorabilia including a stuffed bear. Lots of canadian drinks. Only downside is it can get really, really crowded during sports matches.
S. V.
Love it here. It's now our favourite spot when we come to London. Decent prices and food is lovely. Staff are friendly and it has a great atmosphere with great music!
M. D.
Perfect 'Beer Food' As described on the menu. A nice, fun and much needed alternative to many of the same type of restaurants around.
S. M.
It's Canadian, what's not to love EH!
Canadian beer, poutine, snacks. Always pay a visit when I'm in London and also grab some Sleemans beer to go🍻👍🏻
Great range of beers for all.
N. S.
I have mixed feelings when it comes to The Maple Leaf. As a Canadian, I'm attracted to the awesome decor, featuring many fun Canadian touches. They play great music and also have some favourite Canadian beers on tap (Sleeman, Canadian, Moosehead). The food is hit or miss -- their burgers are decent but their poutine and wings leave a lot to be desired. My biggest criticism is the staff - I have on two occasions been told to "GO AWAY" when the bar has been too full to allow anyone else in. A decent place to hang out on an off-peak night, but if it's the evening of a big hockey game, pick another pub.
T. N.
Yay! 1000th review from a Canadian living in London!
The atmosphere here is second to none. Can’t beat the vibe!! It’s always packed with friendly, easy going people :)
J. E.
I'm not Canadian. But I feel like this would be a homely place for Canadians. Either way for a half French half English expat with Australian twinge and a splash Balinese life experience this place was rubbing me up the right way. No innuendo intended.
L. R.
Friendly staff! Nice atmosphere! Went to play table football but they cover it over the weekend, so we only stayed for one drink.
X. H.
The Maple Leaf - you're hoping for a 'home away from home' and the flag outside certainly gets your hopes up. Inside however is a different story. Sure, they took the effort to get a real (stuffed!) bear in there, but bar some Canadian flag bunting the look and feel is somewhat lacking. This adds up to a serious lack of atmosphere.
That being said, it is described as a Sports Bar & Grill. But the food didn't look up to that, well, it certainly had a typical British pub look to it.
Yes there was a separate poutine menu, but seeing as they only use cheese and not curds, there wasn't anyway I was ordering from it. I'd had lunch in an American Diner only 2 hours earlier where I enjoyed copious amounts of curds on my poutine! Yes an American diner.
Now, to their credit The Maple Leaf does now have a selection of Canadian beers bottled (Moosehead, Molson Canadian etc.) with Sleemans on tap all for about £5 each.
Overall, it may be the most Canadian you find in London, but try and bring your own Canadian cheer.
C. G.
Very friendly staff, nice beers and good spicey wings
T. K. -. N.
Good place if you want to have Canadian beer. Don't expect anything more than that. If you are a Canadian you will probably not get that excited.. Avoid poutine it looks and tastes like s**t!
S. D.
A likeable place and the only good standard pub option in the area to meet friends or while away a day watching sports or enjoying a quiet pint, BUT, as others have said, the Canadian-ness has been slowly bleeding out for years and the decor is tired.
J. P.
Friendly staff good food .not that expensive
A. B.
I love this place, there's always a great vibe in there and prices are reasonable. They also have Canadian beers on tap such as sleemans and moosehead which are some of my favourites. On a monday night you can head dow for 'wings night' which gets you 20 chicken wings for £6 and their poutine is unreal! Oh, and they show hockey.
M. W.
Nice place to watch NFL and NBA games. Although be prepared to be ignored by the barmaids for few minutes before they closing so they won't have to serve you.
J.
Great place to stop for a quick drink and bite to eat, staff were excellent too!
A. B.
Great pub in Covent Garden London. I like the Canadian decoration inside. Food is good and the beer not bad either though expensive. A must visit for any Canadian visiting London
T. W.
Having spent many weeks over in Calgary this bar is a gem. Great authentic feel and bar staff made a spicy Caesar spot on ...worth a visit 🇨🇦
M. S.
Good time, nothing Canadian on tap - just bottles.
PBR bottles and Bluemoon on tap made it feel more USA than Canadian. Understand how natives may feel frustrated.
Great place, good atmosphere.
Will visit again
B. B.
great reputation from visiting Canadians, looking forward to visiting on my trip from Toronto, see you Friday evening Nov 17th as I battle jet lag goes away. Visiting London to give a speech then be a tourist and taste your beer
B. N.
Typical canadian tavern... a co worker had the nachos, they were not very good. The rest of the food was ok, great atmosphere though and definitely evokes the Canadian bar scene
J. H.
Reasonable selection of beers, but lacking in cider choices. Loads of screens for Canadian-based sports (and the occasional football game). The hottest chicken wings in town!
I. R.
The refurbishment was a success, it's still a Canadian bar with Canadian food and Canadian drinks. Even better is that they now have more Canadian staff. Having a Caesers in London with imported Clamato juice was a highlight!
D. W.
We needed to get some food before a show we were seeing so we stopped here I got the tuna melt wrap and my husband got the salmon with rice the place is nice it was quite busy when we got in there but we found a table the menu has pretty standard food burgers, chips, sandwiches and poutine which on hindsight I should have tried my tuna melt was pretty disappointing it came out scalding hot so much so that when I bit into it and the tuna spilt out it burnt my thumb not massively but enough to cause me some pain the service was quick and the staff were nice but I probably wouldn’t go back here again there are better places to eat in and around the area.
J. K.
Really really nice food, my steak was amazing.
Good droughts on tap.
Really nice staff.
Busy place and the music was a little loud but other than that it was a perfect place
J. R.
With a name like The Maple Leaf (and the implied Canadian connotations) you know you're onto a winner. The decor includes items such as; hockey stuff and a bear.
My Canadian friend also pointed out it was an excellent place to observe items of clothing that were fashionable in the 90s, making it both an enjoyable night out and a worthwhile anthropological endeavor.
The bottom line though, is a good variety of options behind the bar, hockey on TV, beards and plaid in every direction. What it suffers for getting so busy (it's essentially in Covent Garden) it makes up for in lack of the pretention that ruins so many London pubs.
M. M.
Great poutine, having lived in Canada it's close enough to the real deal. Plus wings are pretty good. Friendly staff too.
S. D.
Great sporting pub 👍
L. L.
I went there a couple of times. The first time I went here, I asked for a poutine, and was disappointed with the amount of cheese. So now, I always ask for extra cheese, and it’s now a proper poutine like the one I used to eat in Canada.
G. W.
I was incredibly excited to hear there was a Canadian bar in town, hoping that as well as the Sleemans and Moosehead beer that Canadians are fully aware of, Maple Leaf would also have some craft brews – like Granville Island's selection from Vancouver. While there wasn't much to offer wasn't met with my first love, I did get a Sleemans Honey Brown beer, a basket of hot wings and plonked myself in front of a big screen to watch hockey. It filled a void from my Canadian days, but there weren't more Canadian delicacies – only poutine seemed to be on the menu, with American or British fare being offered. Regardless, this bar suits those hunting to hear – and speak – "eh" naturally at the end of sentences.
D. H.
If you're Canadian, this is a must visit. They have poutine on the menu! Great wings - 50p on Mondays. I will be back!
J. T.
Amazing proper America sports bar in the heart of london fantastic services, food and drinks. Will be returning very soon
C. N.
Noisy and loud music, and wall to wall sport on many screens, but it was open late!!! I have a personal aversion to "doorkeepers" , and this one was low profile and polite. All that was missing was sawdust on the floor!!!
K. F.
Yummy Canadian food with good service. Good poutine with squeaky cheese curds.
R. W.
As a Canadian, this place reminds me of home with good choice of drinks and great authentic poutine!
K. L.
Fantastic pub with Canadian decor and beers. They even hear a stuffed bear! Brilliant! Decent prices for a pint (£3-6).
S. M.
Great service - staff are really good and friendly.
Excellent chicken wings and sports bar food!
S. W.
Best fried food and Best sports bar in central, feels homey, sure fire for north American sports fans
J. C.
Great sports bar - good beer selection and easy food
J. H.
Lot's of 'maple flavored' eye candy.
H. S.
Interesting selection of Canadian beers, but food was average. Great to be able to see ice hockey on the TV, but they still have to bring punters in with football screens, which is a shame. Toilets not great.
D. W.
We needed to get some food before a show we were seeing so we stopped here I got the tuna melt wrap and my husband got the salmon with rice the place is nice it was quite busy when we got in there but we found a table the menu has pretty …
J. N.
Great live sports bar for north american sports in London. Plus Canadian beer and poutine. Pretty awesome combination.
R. M.
Based in the midst of Covent garden. The maple Leaf is a busy meeting point pub. It does decent food (They have changed the recipe for the wings and they aren't as good, but in general its good not spectacular pub grub), but they have a nice range of Canadian beers including Sleemans and Moosehead as well as the obligatory Molson.
The place is also a hub for sports in general and is one of the places you can watch NHL Stanley Cup Play-off action and when those events are on it can be busy, especially now that the Walkabout on Maiden lane is closed.
L.
They have lots of screens and show all sports, love this place! Good selection of beer and bar food, lots of seating, very spacious, staff are friendly.
p. b.
Thee, place for top quality poutine & wings 😋
K. L.
Fantastic pub with Canadian decor and beers. They even hear a stuffed bear! Brilliant! Decent prices for a pint (£3-6).
L. K.
I really wanted poutine but it was so disappointing! I got a huge bowl of gravy with a few chips swimming in the bottom with lumps of what tasted like mozzarella.
A. B.
Great music , food and random drinks
M. S.
A little bit different to what else is around. A few Canadian beers and some traditional dishes like Poutine. Loads of TVs showing different sports.
J. L.
Very quick and good service. Good overseas poutine and Canadian beer. A little over the top but still made me feel at home.
T. K.
Watched some fun ice hockey games here. Good atmosphere, good drinks, probably will be back when another season starts!
P. M.
Grate themed Canadian bar in central London. All decked out in Canadian theamed infuance sports and culture. They also have fresh poutine.
R. O.
Great time here in a little slice of Canada. Each tv has a different sport playing so you can be watching ice hockey with your friend watches tennis!
F. C.
Great canadian memory in Central London.
C. F.
Great little bar in Covent Garden, some really nice staff too. The Sleemans Honey Brown beer is pretty awesome, definitely addictive stuff.
F. L.
Cool Canadian-themed pub with Canadian beers on tap. As a Canadian it's always a treat to head over and enjoy some of the hockey decor, as well as the stuffed bear.
M. P.
Showing sport on many screens but one predominant sport wins in the sound battle . The bar is good but to small to have each sport with volume unfortunately
P. O.
Great Canadian style food and couple of lovely Canadian beers along with state of the art TV screens make this pub one of the better ones in the area. And very good for a Greene King pub.I drop a star from the rating due to the manager and staff always giving me a short measure pint which I always have to ask to have topped up.
N. W.
DO NOT GET THE POUTINE. They use shredded mozzarella instead of curds. It also takes a very long time. Try the Canadian pubs in Paris for real poutine.
S. P.
My Canadian friend took me here as they have Canadian lagers. One was Moosehead. The atmosphere even amidst Iceland vs France was lively but not crazy. Good times.
R. P.
Lively, noisy, but great atmosphere, plus delicious food (recommend the Poutine), and friendly staff. Worth reserving a table.
K. K.
Nice place to watch sports, poutine isn't bad, but I like my mom's better
M. C.
Cool bar but too much people, hard to find a space.
Poutine was okay. Still not as good as real Quebec’s one:)
V. D.
Great place to watch all of the big boxing fights! Only 4 stars though because the door man has an ego which taints the buzz before you even walk in.
M. J.
Pretty cool Canadian themed bar with Canadian staff, Canadian sports on TV and decorated like a log cabin with Canadian memorabilia. Worth a visit as has a decent atmosphere.
D. W.
Nice pub and decor , but the beer isn't so good. Really flat and tastes bad. I don't think they clean the lines. Food Is ok though
J. S.
Amazing pub, good prices amazing food and selection of drinks will return for sure.
S. D.
Great interior, delicious food and very friendly staff. The place to go, if you're looking for a bar to watch the games.
b. b.
Friendly helpful staff who had the time to explain to my wife who has an allergy issue what to eat. Definitely go back again.👍
J. G.
Best hot wings in London, washed down with a Canadian IPA. Can’t go wrong!
D. K.
Nice enough bar but the Guinness was absolutely atrocious. Don't let it be said that you can't get a good pint of Guinness in London because you can, but not here.
P. R.
A small part of Canada!! Love it! And my country is missing me
Z. D.
Excellent staff, made sure I was able to watch the game I wanted.
A. M.
I really enjoy the vibes and atmosphere in the maple leaf, I brought a polish friend on the weekend and she really loved it as well. Great staff and great selection of food and drinks.
P. D.
Great pub in Covent garden showing the sports. Drinks are a bit on the expensive side though. Just under £13 for 2 gin and tonics
J. R.
Proper nice place, been there 2 times in 2 weeks now ! Hopefully more to come !
J. B.
Great burgers, great wings, exceptionally hot hot source! Nice atmosphere. All round good place for a night out.
W. A.
Went for a drink after eating sports on multiple TV's and quality music on in the bar with a decent selection of real ale and beers
J. B.
A nice selection of Canadian beers and treats. The poutine is alright but I would not recommend it
E. L.
Heaving popular pub, right near Charring Cross. Large spacious well lit boozer! Normal London prices but great ambience.
V.
A brilliant selection of Canadian beers and food welcome you in, just be sure if you want to eat you avoid sporting events as it gets busy quickly
F. M.
Lots of different beers but only aspalls cider apart from the dodgy fruit flavoured ones and a bottle of stuff that tasted of red bull. Very disappointing!
V. M.
Really friendly service.
Screens all over to watch sports.
Loved the poutine! (with a side of suicide sauce)
R. B.
Good pub, however didn’t include any drink prices on the menu
N. T.
Always a good experience with decent food and good drinks deals on pitchers. Great place to watch sport
M. W.
Cosy Canadian theme bar. Loved the way they have hockey sticks on the walls, they also got a number of flat screens that show variety of sports.
A. W.
I came in wondering what it was all aboot, but actually was a really great bar with a nice atmosphere and a good selection of beers and spirits.
A. M.
A little slice of Canada in the heart of London! They are friendly, they show the hockey and they sell Molson Canadian. What more could you want?!
A. Z.
It was very loud and crowded, but overall had a good time. Had some poutine which was pretty good
N. P.
Delicious poutine, great atmosphere and a really nice selection of beers. Reccomend the Moosehead Lager!
R. W.
As a Canadian, this place reminds me of home with good choice of drinks and great authentic poutine!
D. M.
Really like it here. Great food, the Poutine is glorious and the staff are friendly. Great hang out spot.
T. D.
Not the cleanest or most fashionable of locations in London but it's a fantastic stop if you're thirsty, fancy a snack or want to watch some sports
J. J.
From southern Canada (Minnesota) has all the great comfort food of home whilst living abroad.
A. B.
Very good place to go for a pint and watch a match.
C. P.
London's not so Canadian bar, it has the flags, the Canadian moose with its Canadian tie and mountie hat, even a few Canadian servers, but the management seems to have lost the will to attract ex-pats and tourists and has gone the more British Pub route.
M. D.
Im not sure just how Canadian this bar is, Canadian decor on the walls but not much in the line of Canadian beer. That said its a great bar to visit, fantastic atmosphere and really good food.
Z. T.
Very friendly staff good beer selection and they have tablefootball. I love it. I will go back :)
M. J.
Top notch poutine
J. N.
Awesome place, amazing atmosphere, the best people.
H.
Really cool sports bar. Obviously drinks are expensive because of the location, but that's to be expected. Amazing selection of beers too.
S. M.
Great service - staff are really good and friendly.
Excellent chicken wings and sports bar food!
D. T.
This place is just alive! It is full of people having fun. They are great staff and the beer is great. What more can you want?
H. C.
Amazing pub for a few drinks on a Saturday night, and even better a place to watch the sports.
F. O.
Lots of screens (they also show serie A matches), kind staff, pop punk playlist in loop, a bit too loud
J. J.
Great bar, friendly staff, good selection of drinks wonderful food and a brilliant vibe...go you will not be disappointed..👌
M. S.
Great bar with really good food, beer and service from Zak and his team.
M. A.
Would be 5* if they had Keith’s...
D. C.
Good pub with live sports on numerous screens. Very busy and decent selection of beers and food.
M. M. (.
Really nice place!! If you are canadian away from home and feel like having a good time eating poutine and drinking Mousehead this is the place!
S. W.
Best fried food and Best sports bar in central, feels homey, sure fire for north American sports fans
M. G.
Lots of Canadian memorabilia, friendly staff, good selection of beers, amazing burgers
J. M.
Fun pub, good for sport, great for Canadian beers that you'll struggle to find elsewhere in London!
A. J. G.
It's an alright pub. Really absolutely nothing noteworthy but nothing wrong with it either. The hot and spicy poutine really is.
C. C.
Simple food and a good choice of beers in a pub atmosphere that is a bit Canadian. Works well for a relaxed dinner
J. M.
Went in to watch the rugby on the telly and enjoyed the pints and service. Not a bad spot at all.
B. L.
Great atmosphere and very tasty poutine. Good music choices as well.
D. D.
Fantastic poutine and great atmosphere. Especially good if you're in to ice hockey!
R. M.
Great Canadian bar. Excellent Guinness. Nice busy atmosphere
L. m.
The staff are really friendly. Had poutine for the first time and it lived up to and exceeded my expectations.
K. B.
Great selection of beers. Bar staff super friendly. Top pub in Covent Garden
R. S.
Excellent bar with great food and a good alchahole selection, slightly pricey but worth a visit.
J. C.
Great sports bar - good beer selection and easy food
V. S.
Have visited twice now with Canadian friends.Great reasonable prices for food and drink .Staff lovely .Will go again .
K. F.
Yummy Canadian food with good service. Good poutine with squeaky cheese curds.
N. T.
Good food, good beers and reasonably priced burger ribs etc close to Covent Garden. Loud but fun!
J. P.
Canadian themed bar, generally showing Speedway (my new favourite sport). Good food choice.
p. (.
As a Canadian living in England I loved this place. Hockey on the TV, Molson and Poutine. Home away from home and I loved every moment of it.
B. G.
They close early on a Sunday night so check the hours before you go. Ordering your beer only to have them ring the last call bell was a disappointment.
D. W.
The decor is rather Canadian, but the menu and drink selection is more of a nod towards the name than a whole-hearted Canadian effort.
J. C.
Brilliant bar, great atmosphere and the ideal place to watch live sports :)
J. C.
Awesome vibe, awesome food, awesome place
J. W.
Good sports bar - nice feel to the place and I liked the poutine.
G.
Lovely atmosphere and lovely waiter. He explained everything about the beers.
S. T.
Nice pub, bit pricey but the chicken wings are amazing..
A. C. O.
Great place for any home sick Canadians!! Biggest part for me they use proper Clamato juice for the Ceasers!!!!!
J. R.
Greta themed bar, lovely staff, and very clean covid friendly space
C. A.
Good for sports and beers. Friendly and with a nice Canadian twist for something a little different. Try an imported Canadian beer!
L. S.
Always favourite place for a nice pint of beer and hockey.
A. L.
Great place but not a great selection of beers and it can get very busy.
R. C.
A fun Canadian themed bar that even serves a Caesar! Also poutine and other "traditional" Canadian fare available.
C. J.
One of my favourite locations when in London. Good selection of beers and shows sport daily.
B. M.
Good Canadian bar
M. P.
Awesome bar with a great Canadian vibe. Love that they have Sleemans on tap
I. P.
What can I say: excellent service, excellent food and so accommodating staff made for an absolutely wonderful meal with friends. Thank you
R. A.
bit loud. lovely staff, good Canadian food, reasonable beer selection.

R. W.
Ok Canadian style pub. Good beer, ok food not really very Canadian though.
D. I. J. V.
Good big bar, nice atmosphere, drinks and food. Well worth a visit
I. S.
Great bar, good staff, excellent for following a wide variety of sports
D. B.
Great Canadian themed bar loads of sport on and nice big bar .
N. Q.
Ambiance was good, service was poor and the menu could have been so much more Canadian!
O. H.
I think this is one of only 2 Canadian themed pubs in London. Worth a look, good atmosphere and a well know Covent garden landmark
S. P.
Average pub filled with Canadian flags and sport team memorabilia. Staff were friendly, and they have some arcade games.
P. T.
Great beer and food fantastic atmosphere really good time
D. C.
Love this Canadian pub with super friendly staff...Great Thanksgiving dinner!
S. M.
Enjoy the atmosphere.
M. N.
It’s pretty dingy in here and not that cheap. Great if you’re celebrating something Canada related.
p. h.
They do a nice caribou and maple syrup pie here
