Great little boozer, loved all the decor and interior when we got in there… staff are really chatty and friendly and they do the new Guinness zero which I’d be wanting to try for a few weeks!! Food wise, they are similar to the kings arms and jacks in terms of having a Thai kitchen.. but this time we were just here for the booze and some nuts… Deffo one I’ll be going to again in the coming months

Absolutely fantastic thai food, probably the best I’ve had this year, but the staff were even more lovely than the food! Super friendly, made the whole experience six ⭐️. I’m so sad they don’t do deliveries, but the food was so good I had to go again for lunch today (£7 for a box, 12-3pm) - it did not disappoint. The draft beers are also very refreshing. Would definitely be going back (again) soon! For a group of 2-6 friends: would recommend booking the small room-ish area next to the till. Very quiet and very cozy.

We are a little obsessed with Asian food at the moment (and in particular Thai) and we’d been wanting to try the food at Mc & Sons for a while having been in for pints of the black stuff on more than one occasion. 👀 The pub itself is class!! Really good atmosphere, always busy and buzzing and the staff are always helpful, chatty and up for a bit of banter! The food was bangin’!! Loved the variety on the menu, which isn’t always a given… it came out super quick and value for money is incredible - deffo somewhere we will be back to even after we have moved West… 😬 Our fave things: The mounds of crispy noodles waiting to be dunked into the rich sauce (and the 0% Guinness on offer 🤩) 📍🚇| A 5 minute walk from Southwark tube station

My friends and I love this pub so much. Always a friendly, lively, down-to-earth atmosphere. Staff are so friendly and try their best to serve everyone in a timely fashion. I first came here for my birthday back in November and now it's become our go-to pub. Beers are always served perfectly chilled and they quite possibly serve the best pint of Guinness in London. I've tried quite a few of the Thai dishes off the menu and loved every single one. Hoping to make it back for one of their live music sessions!

The Thai beef salad is really really delicious but spicy! Don’t pour all the sauce in the salad or you cannot stand it. But believe me, it worth trying! Also beer is quite cool.

The service was 10/10 and the food & drinks were great also. The Khao Soi was a great mix of creamy and spicy, the Pad See Iew was basic but well made and there was a selection of sauces to adjust the flavor. The atmosphere was lively and friendly.

Good beers and ok Thai street food. Ordering is a bit awkward as you pay for a token at the bar, which you then hand in a minute later to get a bowl of food. I'd love to see an easier way to pay for food rather than the token system, and more menu variety.

One of the few actually good pubs in the London Bridge area, very fun and relaxed vibe and isn't mega expensive. They have a really good Thai food menu with a pretty big selection, and the staff are very friendly and accomodating of any requests that you have. Also they play some great Irish music in the toilets.

First time I had visited Mc & Sons on a Thursday evening. It was relatively quiet when I got there and managed to bag the small vestibule area towards the front door. This was a great place for up to 6 to 8 people to sit and be slightly divorced from the rest of the pub. The pub soon started to fill up and there was a good atmosphere from the general hub bub from the main bar area. Staff were very helpful and the Guinness was very good (as expected). The food was also good having starters and a main course from the Thai menu. All in all a great pub, good selection of drinks and food and very helpful staff. Definitely worth a visit.

If you can nab the snug by the window it’s nice, if a bit twee. The bar staff on my last visit though wasn’t particularly welcoming and the (rubbish) music was turned up way too high for a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Great selection of Irish beer though.

I normally don't leave reviews but I wanted to share my experience from Mc and Sons, it was nothing short of fantastic - first Irish bar outside of Ireland that felt like a real Irish pub. AJ and his team provided great service and food recommendations throughout the evening, the added bonus was being seated in the snug and the small things like our drink order being remembered by the team, it's the small touches like this that will make me a regular.

Really like this pub, great beers and a cozy place to drink in the back if you're a smoker. I love the Irish element of this place, even the beers are Irish! It gets pretty busy on a Friday, but that's expected really! Definitely worth a visit if you're fond of the Irish and a good craft beer!

This is a great place to go for lunch. I have been going every Wednesday for months and the place never disappoints. I love their Thai food which is always very tasty. The boxes unfold nicely into a plate which makes it easier to eat. One negative point: some of the chairs are disproportionate to the tables which makes it very difficult to sit properly.

Nice bar recently refurbished. They have a good selection of beers, some of which seem to be on rotation so there's something for everybody. The Thai food looked excellent although I didn't try any myself. That said, my friend did and said it was delicious (and has been back for food since!)

Surprisingly pleasant boozer that does the ghost of the Charles Dickens proud. The beer range is good including some Irish craft beer (at least Franciscan Wells) and cask beer. The food was good as I remember it with some variability, certainly the noodles were very good. The staff were really pleasant and kept a busy bar turning over in a friendly and professional way. I love this pub. The walls are covered in pictures that I'm told are all relates to the family's history. A great selection of gin and craft beer is on offer. Go on a Saturday night for live Irish music, or go in the day to watch the sport. Best if all is some of the most traditional Thai cooking I've found in London. One of the best pubs in London

Excellent Thai food, two of us ate there, £7 for a great Thai curry - choice of about 6 or 7 curries inc a non meat option. Very tasty, staff were lovely especially Harriet behind the bar, a little ray of sunshine.

Genuinely the best Thai beef salad I've had, including in Thailand. Secret is they use proper succulent cuts of beef, rather than the usual cheap stringy meat people think you won't notice. Great booze selection too, including Japanese whisky and good quality tequila, as well as independent brewers. Need some staff training - new girl tried to steal my plate with the cutlery in 'don't take' position! But great otherwise.

My favourite spot for lunch in the area. Thai kitchen serves delicious takeaways boxes for £7 which is amazing value given the size of portions and fact you can have multiple dishes in one. Can also eat those in the pub (or order from the main menu). Beautiful old school boozer inside serving good beers and playing Irish tunes. Need to make a visit on Saturdays for live music!

Very rarely will you drink in a pub with more to offer. The beers, food and staff are all excellent. It’s cosey during lunch or when it’s Baltic outside, and lively when it needs to be. There’s always an atmosphere there, which is not surprising given its popularity with locals and people who know a decent pub when they see one. Fair play. They’ve nailed it.

Extremely warm and friendly staff, best authentic Thai food we ever had, generous drinks and extremely reasonable prices. There was an Irish band the night we happened in. We walked in as tourists and walked out friends! London's version of "Cheers".

FAVORITE LOCAL SPOT. The Thai food here is incredible and it's in a fun atmosphere with live music on several nights of the week. I always take my visitors here and they leave satisfied and wanting to come back! If this was even five minutes closer to my flat I'd be here 3 nights a week. Very good curries at lunch time for 7 pounds. They have a loyalty card where you get one meal for free every 10th meal (6.3£/meal) my favourite is the massaman beef curry with rice. Totally recommended it. They also have a good collection of beers :)

Authentic Irish bar with a great atmosphere. Jam packed on St.Patrick's Day and really felt like home with a trad band following the rugby. The Thai food was delicious and loved the Irish touches like Tayto and Mikado biscuits. I'll return soon.

I kid you not this is the best Thai curry I have had outside of Thailand. The lovely ladies in the kitchen are the masters of their trade and I have been dreaming about the massaman since last weekend! This place has the best Thai food in Southwark. I like the idea of British pubs nowadays that bring Thai food together with beer and what not. Thai food tend to be spice and should crafty choose the light menus to make it goes well with alcohol in which this place done it .

Amazing! Trendy but traditional, cosy but roomy, amazing thai food (the meeting of Irish pub and thai kitchen is a blessed thing) - my only regret is that I can't avail of their great lunch deal, working as I do in a different part of London. The staff are wonderful particularly the manager, they can't do enough for you. There is fabulous live Irish music at least two nights per week and whether it's a quiet night or a rowdy one, the atmosphere always remains welcoming. A true find in Southwark.

On our visit they had run out of two dishes, but they went and got more from the kitchen I had the yellow chicken curry, it was lovely and there was lots of chicken. Good boozer and atmosphere however food service is shambles. You'd purchase a token and when you turn up to the counter what you want is not there and you'll have to wait 10/15 mins. I understand that's fine for some but at least they could have told you before that so you wouldn't have to get something you don't like. Got a two chicken mix things and there was only two slices of chicken and the rest was carrots and pineapples. Just poor form for £6. Coconut just around the corner from there gives you bigger portions and better tasting food. And you pay after you order. Still though, a good pub to have drinks.

It's not usually open on a Sunday but was for the 6 nations, and fairly quiet in there. For me, this is a GOOD thing. Staff nice, atmosphere nice. The only complaints are that my stool and table were very wobbly. But so was I after a while, so it didn't ruin my day.

A very cool place. Its/ an Irish hodge podge boozer with some very quirky photos and memorabilia from Ireland. Part of me wants to believe the photos are the owners extended family from times gone. First time back here after lock down for me. Very happy to report that the Thai Street food served here is still top notch. Not too crowded on a Tuesday evening with seating available inside and out. Friendly bar staff. One star deducted for the price of beer, but that's good old rip your socks off London pubs for you. If you can afford it, then I can thoroughly recommend this place.
