P. R.Mikkeler has been a Shoreditch institution for me. Wide varieties that always changed whenever I visited. From fruit beers to the darkest stout, the beer never disappoints. Can only recommend this place.
B. C.Been twice during the pandic and service has been excellent. Beer is poured fresh from the draught then canned immediately so you can take it home or drink it in the churchyard next door. Fantastic selection of beers, some of them very interesting! I think most of the ones they serve they brew. The pub itself looks cozy although pandic has prevented me fr going in. Will make sure to keep visiting!

K. H. (.Lovely bar with a good atmosphere. Obviously the beer is good with just over 20 beers on tap. Several guest beers all in different styles and colours. Bit of a small place though so don’t expect to get a seat and the beer is on the pricey side but if you like and know the beer you’d know that your going to pay the price for it.

M. C.This is a very specific review of the mikkeller bar from 17¹⁵ to 18¹⁰ on a sunny day in autumn. If you get to sit at table 1, you can people-watch, have a light beer, and order in a takeaway pizza, with the sun beaming in directly from the horizon right through the door and onto your table (it only hits the table at those times though!). The bar staff play indie classics before the wider clientele come in, and there are not enough stars to give this place.

Finally got some quality craft beers from the Danes
Prices are definitely higher than a pint of Stella but each drink has so much more character in it.
R. J.Lovely bar, very pleasant atmosphere (a slightly older crowd than elsewhere in the area, and music at a reasonable volume) and nice big windows. Has some amazing beers on, as you’d expect. I had a sour ale that’s maybe the best I’ve ever had. A little pricy but definitely worth it.
Staff are friendly, and the manager had the patience of a saint while dealing with (and rightfully ejecting) a group of coked up people from the COVID protests trying to provoke a reaction by claiming to be mask exempt.

S. C.Great beer, minimalist decor and plenty of Rick’s covers to listen to. Excellent meeting place, but the stools are a bit uncomfortable as are the strange seats, that, although look trendy, aren’t really making the most of the limited space. But definitely worth a visit and a couple of pints, or maybe 3 glasses of 2/3 of a pint!

K. F.Great quality craft beer on draft with over 19 beers to choose from. The London bar is part-owned by Rick Astley so there are some great nods to him in pictures, beer names and table names. The place has a minimalist, trendy feel like all other Mikkeller bars. When you step inside, just remember: You pay for what you get. Hence, this great tasting beer is some of the priciest you'll find. In true London style, the service doesn't come with a smile either!

In particular, the Mikkeller locations outside of London make really excellent food, while this one only allows you to have pizza delivered.

A. R.Beer selection is naturally above average and service is courteous and fast. This is essential as the bar is always full. I wish they had chosen a bigger venue, which would enable them to have bigger toilets, nicer ambiance and not require people to have their beers outside.

The beer chips are the best chips I've ever had. I had the Yeast & Smoke flavor, which I need to buy a few bags of before I fly back home.

FANTASTIC beer list, from locations all around the world, as well as collaborations, etc. The Rick Astley connection is fun. My experience was unique in that the power had gone out, but the staff were incredibly accommodating, they lit some candles and away we all went chatting away while customers enjoyed their excellent crafted beers.

B. C.Smallish pub with a really interesting collection of craft beers. Fairly plain and minimalist inside. The Rick Ashley lyrics and fun glasses are a nice touch. As well as beers they have their own very drinkable house spirits (under the bar so ask nicely).

P. A.A nice addition to the area. They have a good range of Mikkeller beers and some guest beers of similar quality (Kernel and WarPigs, etc). Quite a small venue that can get quite noisy, but there is space outside too.
D. D.Great selection of rotating taps, usually featuring Mikkeler specials and a core range co-developed with Rick Astley. They've also got a very extensive bottle and can selection, again focused on their own brews but with some special guest items as well. It's a fairly small spot, but maintains a nice vibe even when it's crowded, and the beer is consistently delicious. They have some limited bar snacks, mainly crisps and nuts, so don't come hungry :)
J. M.Great little beer bar. Can get v busy on a Friday night, but the DIPA more than makes up for it.
E.Cool place, really nice beers. It's a bit of a shame that service was awful! One of the barmaids was absolutely lovely, while the one that served us was rude and visibly annoyed at my friend for asking for a taste (which, with peculiar beers as the ones they serve, should be encouraged).

M. H.Beers of the absolute highest quality. Expect to pay for it though, halves/thirds can be over £5, making it something like £15 a pint for some of their rarer beers (8 Wired, etc.). This is the place to try things you can't find elsewhere not to drink large amounts.

H. D.You can never question the quality of Mikkeller beers. Of the beers that were available for our visit on Saturday 3rd November 2018 , the ones we tried were superb. Overall no complaints about the quality of the product!
1st star lost because they were however a little bit pricey, even for the London craft market. 2nd star lost because Mikkeller have become part of the modern trend of introducing shared toilets.....and only 2 of them at that! Not sure who thought 2 toilets in a busy pub would be enough, but on busy nights loos like this tend to turn into an unwelcoming quagmire that makes even the bacteria in the loo feel uncomfortable.
A. Z.We had a fabulous time thanks to the nice Danish bartender who was just really cool friendly and nice, made everyone feel welcome. Big fan. Their beers were all interesting and delicious.

C. W.This is my favorite pub in Shoreditch. Hands down. No kidding. Mikkeller beer is good on its own, but it is beer with guidance. Jarrod and Cez are happy to provide recommendations at this hidden gem. Both are also extremely willing to share thier musical knowledge and make the pub an even more welcoming place.
L. B.Cannot believe by chance I walked past this pub. Of course I did a double take and walked back. I know Mikkeller well from Barcelona (highly recommended)....but in London?! OK so it's smaller with no sign of food. Nevertheless it has PROPER LAMBIC! Imperial Stout anyone? No problem. Instantly an immediate global favourite. Just visit. And be prepared to stay. Then go to Barcelona. Then and only then finish the pilgrimage in Brussels.
