Went her for late lunch at 1.30pm and it was not crowded at all. We ordered the pork knuckle and it was very well seasoned. The skin was crispy and the pork was juicy and tender inside. Totally worth our £15 and the munich club beer is also great very smooth not dry!

Really enjoyed a night out with friends. The bar had a friendly and welcoming vibe, with fun live music. Everyone dancing on benches and getting in the party mood whilst maintaining a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Drinks on the pricey side if you’re not used to London prices. Emptying by 11pm, which may be too early for some. The food was good and plentiful. The age range and dress code was varied.

Much better than I expected. Its bright and noisy, even at 4.30pm...but the beer choice is great and the food was wurst-heavy German bierkeller-like as expected and delicious 😋. The only reason why it's 4* not 5 is our first waitress was an absolute shocker. Will definitely go back if I'm nearby and starving

Pros: the food, the beers, and the bar and food staff are excellent. Could not have been happier with the food and service. Cons: the music was so loud it was very difficult to have a conversation throughout the evening, and our evening was ended very abruptly by security trying to close the bar early. Despite us having asked and been told by staff that closing time was 12am (and we had ordered last orders to arrive for just before half past at the staff's request), at 11.35pm the bouncer decided to tell us to drink up and get out (we were pretty much the last customers left, apart from one other table). He then proceeded to make sarcastic comments about how it "wasn't school time" as we'd been reading a comedy book out loud between us quite amiably, and we were obliged to pretty much down our drinks and leave in a matter of minutes. Given that we'd been perfectly respectful customers and not drunkenly misbehaving, unlike a number of earlier punters dancing on tables and smashing steins on other tables which security didn't seem to step in over, it was a really crummy end to my partner's birthday drinks. To be essentially thrown out, having bought a round for 5 people following the bar staff's lead, and having to end the evening early by being chastised was not on, and we felt a bit cheated and like we'd wasted our money on those drinks. I'm not sure I'd come again for a special occasion, despite the food being good. It rather ruined it for us all. Go for a lunchtime and enjoy the good food and beer, but maybe not for an evening.

I have been here twice and on both occasions the atmosphere is amazing, friendly staff and the oompah band is definitely the highlight...A great night out and within walking distance from Victoria Station...go you won't be disappointed

Great location in easy walking distance of Victoria Station. Staff are friendly, attentive and welcoming. We had booked a Christmas meal and the two of us had the end of a long table with benches to ourselves as others were shunning such venues in the run up to Christmas thanks to covid. There were however a couple of other tables that were ram packed making much noise and creating a happy atmosphere. Paul and I stayed with Stiens of the house brew which was excellent. We started with the mixed meats, moved on to meat loaf, red cabbage and mash potatoes for the main and while my friend went for fresh fruit salad I went for trifle which although tasty lacked the expected custard but maybe that's the way of things in Germany. No hesitation in recommending this venue for those wishing to experience a lively time carousing.

I'd of given 5* for the old location as it has a greater range of beers and a lot more atmosphere. The new premises is larger and more spacious, staff are really friendly, the food and beer is great but I'd like it if they had a greater range to chose from. I love my weissbier !

Visited for the bottomless brunch. Nice drinks and a surprisingly tasty and large spread of food. But very slow serving of the drinks which we thought was on purpose to reduce the number of drinks you could get in 90 mins. Often took 10 mins for our drinks to arrive after ordering and you can only order when you hand back in an empty glass. Also lacking any kind of atmosphere at lunch time. Would be much better to visit in the evening when there is a band. I don't think I would go back.

Really great night out. Band on Saturday start 8pm, and just keep on playing great songs to sing along to. Dancing on tables, steins of beer, tasty wursts and sauerkraut, really lovely staff who look to enjoy their work, excellent value for money, cracking evening. We will be back!

Had lots of fun here. Great atmosphere and the food is on point. Recommend the veal and pork schnitzel. The apple strudel with custard is very sweet but so worth it. This will become a regular stopping point for me as prices are also very reasonable for what you get.

We turned up a bit late, so missed the live band sadly :( but oh my god, the scenes witnessed that night were hilarious. One of our party had to leave to get some fresh air from laughing so hard at the variety of drunken personalities and their activities. The pilsner was pretty good also haha!

We were welcomed by friendly staff and not treated like outsiders because we had our three older children with us. Will be coming back again with friends and wife in the near future!

Good beer but expensive. I refused to pay the service charge as the service was very poor. Had to go to the bar three times re food. Once to order as I was ignored, again after my plate was given to me to get some sauce an then again to pay up. I probably could have just walked out an they wouldn't have noticed. Shame as it has a authentic feel in there. £5.30 for a pint of Lowenbrau very expensive. Pay less at the Christmas markets..

Went here for a work Xmas lunch, it's okay but a bit pricey for what it is. Meat platter to start which was okay plenty of German meats and pickles. Then the roast pork, tiny bit of crackling but otherwise tasty. Dessert of German fruit cake was a bit underwhelming. Beer looked impressive in steins but was a bit bland and pricey for what it was.

Have come here to watch sports and been here for a few birthday parties, I can honestly say that this place is one of the most fun places to go to on a night out in London. With good, friendly service and a great selection of German beers, good food and all reasonably priced. The atmosphere really comes out when the band starts at 8pm with some great sing along songs and everyone dancing on the tables. The bar staff are really friendly but the host was quite rude and miserable. Make sure you call up and book a spot, you cannot book online for less then 6 people.

German beer, German food in the middle of Victoria (London) You can't go wrong with this place.( Maybe add a window but it is a basement bar) once you've skulled a couple of £10 steins down your gullet only an hour has passed and your buying more... Then the brass band appears, stands on your table and gets the whole place involved. Go if you get a chance and even if it's just for one beer... Make it a stein.

Really good food. Very good price. Some waiters were quite grumpy - seems like the 120+ decibel Ompa band might have been too loud for them as well. This band is luckily only on 2 days off the week so if you are just visiting for the food, avoid those days. That said, many other customers seemed to enjoy the band - though it seems to take a lot of beer.

I have to confess three things: I went there for a work evening (so I didn't pay), it was a Thursday night (so the band were playing) and...I'm from near Munich originally (so I love this kind of thing). That said, they did a great job at recreating a Bierhalle, all the way to the wooden tables. The food is amazing, the beer even more so. I have been looking for any opportunity to return!

Great location for Work Beers. Couple work friends and I were having a meeting nearby and stumbled across this beauty of a bar. Big fan of German Beers which they had a good selection and doe steins. On top of that we ordered a couple of platters which were well worth the value and great quality . The Barmaids were also very fun and did a great service as I felt we were a bit demanding! Would go back again or even hire part of it out as it has some cool looking arches for private table/ parties!

Friendly staff, beer as good as in other German places I guess. Not a fan of interiors. German band worked on plus. Food OK-ish but not the best. Plater options are just a rip off! Strongly advise against!!! Each platter for 5 people, as recommended. In reality it's just couple of small pieces of meat on a maaasive pile of fries, which are definitely not something you desire in a place that promises German food. Amount of traditional sides was enough for one person max. Maybe food in single dishes works better however, I doubt I will ever visit it again.

It would have helped if the waiters/waitresses (at least the one serving us) were less cold; as a reference point the staff at the Bierschenke - another fantastic German beer hall in London - are always cheerful and welcoming. I'm giving this place a 5 stars rating based on the beer (obviously), the staff & the oompah band. Absolutely fantastic group night out. The only downside would be the quality of food but let's be honest with ourselves we didn't go here because of any food ratings 😊. Would certainly recommend for large parties and after work get togethers. Will certainly try and get another visit in this year.

Standard German beer hall. The beer is pretty good. And it's worth trying a sausage platter. Oompa bands are a bit marmite. I thought the one we had was a bit too loud but they had a decent choice of songs. The staff were very good and accommodating.

Most people didn't get anything other than fries, as the sausages, pretzel and other accoutrements were so few in number.

Love this place, the food is great, they serve lunchtime menus. Good selection of German pils. It's a cellar so there seems to be a constant cool temperature.. there is a ski-alpres type chalet setup inside, that took me back to my ski holidays in Austria. In the end great place in very hard to compete environment... As there is a food market right in front of it.

German themed restaurant (down to the staff uniform) that serves real German beer from German regions and events throughout the year. The beer is expensive (£6-7 a pint) but great quality and I have never come across a bad batch over the many years I have visited the beerhouse. You also have some beer here tha you will not find the in non themed restaurants. The staff are always friendly and professional and take care of their customers as evidenced by the friendly and smooth way they returned my bag one trip when I accidentally left it by a stool (after a security check) Overall highly recommended for the quality of the beer alone.

This place is Fab! Watched England vs Belgium here with a friend. The game itself wasn't all that great coz for teams had already qualified for the second round of the World Cup, but the place and atmosphere were memorable. After the game the Munich Club band played live music (band members wearing England shirts) and everyone danced. It was a proper England game atmosphere. I will be watching all my England games here.

First time I went, didn't have a problem. However last night, service very slow and also my sausage was not cooked and chips and gravy cold when brought out, had to wait another 15 mins for food. Seems like the staffing structure and service needs a little bit more work, especially when there is a 12.5 % service charge on top. Saturday's are a real hoot as they have a brass band playing.

I ordered a set menu that comes with schnapps. I never drink schnapps, but a grumpy waitress told me I couldn't substitude it for something else, so that was a bad start. But then after I had the schnapps, waitresses were smiling, the schnitzel was good, that claustrophobic blue-themed decor started to make sense and German TV was hillarious even though I don't really speak German.

This is a simply stupendous watering hole. Throughly enjoyed dancing on the tables while screaming classics along with the brass band. At the end on the night the assistant manager did incredibly well to entertain and humour the tispy crowds demanding more bangers so they could continue the night. He took the time to speak to all who wanted 'one more song' and diplomatically kept the place from turning into rave (despite darude sandstorm sneaking into the playlist*). The Munich Cricket Club is ideally situated for post-work drinks or meeting up with friends for a quick stein or two. The authenticity is occasionally patchy (maybe that’s just how the Bavarians serve Wurstsalat, the savages), but you won’t find a decent schnitzel anywhere else in the area. What’s authentically London is the pricing – for this much you’d perhaps appreciate somewhere a little quieter at peak times where you don’t have to perch on a bench. This is like charging €20 to sit and have a sausage and chips on the Theresienstrasse. The MCC is well worth a visit, but you might find yourself in the Slug and Lettuce come next payday.
