A beautiful gem of a spot! Quite hidden. The menu items (particularly the Sunday roast) are well known by word of mouth. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate, with really friendly and attentive waiting staff. They accept Amex card for payments, and can provide separate bills for each order at the end of the meal (if you prefer not to split the bill equally). They have a good vegan selection of items. No booking necessary on Sunday. I would recommend a visit here to everyone. Thank you for such a lovely Sunday lunch experience.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon in December 2021. Lovely modern spacious Youngs Pub, also good for safe distancing, with an excellent menu. The fish and chips was a whole fish and fantastic. Good selection of beers with the service top shelf. It misses the charm of an old world pub, but makes up for it with a trendy modern space, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Well done to all the Nine Elms Tavern team.

Where I don’t ever review I feel like I must on this occasion as I was met with one of the most naturally humorous landladies close to my born home in Scotland. Laura was one of the most wonderful people I have met in my time in London and I cannot thank her enough. My wife and I had gone to a pub not so far away on our walk across the river ( great views, lots of places to sit and spectate) upon entering asking for a table inside rather than outside we’re met with hostility and overwhelming rules just to have a coffee. It had Made us so upset that we had no intention of going anywhere else for a while but we were met by the friendliest wave and hello from Laura from metres away from the pub as if we’ve been friends forever. (She was of course waving to our pooch Moscow). We stood outside to chat to her for all of one Minute and suddenly we were inside, pint in one hand, dog in the other and howling at tales of New Year’s Day from both her and her partner in crime (Pat? Perhaps Pete? It’s all a blur now!) we didn’t eat as we had plans elsewhere with our daughter, and the pub wasn’t that busy but beautiful decor, lovely music and just a really welcoming atmosphere. We visit London and our daughter in Battersea enough to know that this is our home from home now. A stunning independent boozer which makes a change from all the unfriendly chains. See you again. Food was very tasty, and arrived quickly. Staff were very friendly and attentive. One overhead us saying we were a bit cold in the wind, so brought us a heater to use. Didn't even have to ask! Nice views along the river.

Nice place. Very heavy on the warflike decor stylings with worn wood, which made sense as it's along the Thames. Place is big and was not very busy which made it seem emptier. I hope they can recover the amount spent on rent and decor. Drinks were well poured and the bartender was on hand behind the bar consistently which in London is.a plus.

Been to this pub a few times and have always received amazing service and food. Brian who works here always is friendly and happy to help, makes you feel very welcome. The pub has a nice layout and is very clean including the outside seating area and bathrooms.

I wrote a review about Nine Elms Tavern over a year ago (below). I came back quite recently, and we had such a good experience; the service was absolutely brilliant, and the Sunday Roast and Nachos were just amazing - the best one I have had for a while so have upgraded from 4 to 5 stars! The portions were also very generous, and they were very accommodating with our friend’s kids so that was a big plus – overall a very good experience so happy to recommend it. Previous review: Very friendly staff, nicely decorated (if you like the industrial style), and the food seems to be getting better - although a few more options would be welcome.

Really nice pub with a lovely atmosphere. The beer garden is lovely on a summers day. The staff are very friendly and like to have a laugh. What i will point out is make sure you book a table before hand and it is a little pricey however the price is fair considering the location

Food was pretty good and atmosphere was nice. Wouldn’t get the ribs, but pizza is good. The server didn’t know what beers they had so we had to get up and look ourselves, which I thought was strange. Everyone was really nice though.

Nice place, great service loved the fact that it asked for allergies when ordering. The only problem was, they didn't follow their own guidance. My wife who cannot eat lactose or gluten, ended up with a brioche bun, and chips that clearly had both. She was ill all evening. Not good and fortunately not as bad as it could have been.

A nice pub to be at. Works till late and has a good atmosphere. It has a seating area with some tasty dishes to try, outside area (terrace) and a second floor. For a comparison, a pint of Guinness costs £5.45. This pub also has an option to book a space for an event or a business meeting. Would recommend.

Best roast dinner we’ve had in London this year!! Went down to have a Sunday roast here whilst watching the Euros at around 5pm. Place was super quiet, but staff were attentive, friendly and quick to serve. Within 15mins of sitting down we were halfway through our drinks and the food was served. We shared one chicken roast and one cauliflower cheese roast. The best Yorkshire puddings I’ve had in ages (crispy, light and flavorful), chicken was soft and tender, great assortment of veg and gravy was 👌🏻 Would definitely come back!

Went with some friends to Nine Elms Tavern last Sunday. We heard about the delicious Sunday Roast they got. Really looking forward to it we got there at 6pm but it was sold out unfortunately. Thanks to Bryan, who took our order, we got a delicious plate with all the roast sides like carrots, the yorkshire pudding, potatoes etc., obviously without the already sold out meat. None of us expected that and it was an absolute suprise having that extra plate on top to our yummy burgers. Thank you Bryan, you made our day ! Big thumbs up to the friendly staff working that day. We had a beautiful chat with one of them after he finished his shift and sat down to our table. Thank you Yannik !

Great service ( sorry I didnt get the name of the server but he was incredibly friendly and worked the Tuesday day time shift). Very attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. I had such a lovely evening here yesterday, it’s so nice to feel like you’re back to reality being able to enjoy drinks with friends again. My husband and me love this pub. It's been our local for the past three years and everytime we've been here has been a lovely experience. The team are always so friendly and post covid, it has felt so well managed and safe. We are leaving the area and will so miss this place. The food is fantastic - you have to try the sausage and mash - the mash is to die for. Seriously I ate a whole pizza which was sooooo good and could not resist the mash my husband left (because he ate a huge chicken wing starter). This place is perfect. This pub is a nice place to have a meal. The staff are very helpful and will check on you to make sure you’re alright (When they’re NOT busy). If they are busy, good luck getting a decent spot in the line. The reason I give it 4/5 stars is because I absolutely love the steak and ale pie they serve there. I typically go when they’re not too busy, so can experience the better service. I’d give them 5/5 if they had more servers and bartenders when they have busier times, but until then, it’s a solid 4/5. Edit: Their website still shows that they have the steak and ale pie, but when I went there a week ago, they didn’t have it on their menu anymore. I was told it was just a seasonal item and they had shepherds pie instead (not nearly as good). I’d highly recommend updating your online information when you update your menu. For that, I drop you from a 4/5 to 3/5. Long story short, bring back the steak and ale pie!

Love The Nine Elms Tavern. The staff are amazing and never forget a face. Drinks on the terrace are perfect any time of year. The food is fresh and delish, some of the best in the area! Definitely our go-to place.

We both had cocktails (a cosmopolitan and a martini) which were very nice and a decent price given the pub's central location. Didn't have any food so can't say much there, but the decor of the pub was very pleasing. We went in the middle of the day so it was very quiet. The staff was friendly but almost too friendly, in that they kept trying to make little jokes with us which would have been fine if we didn't want to just sit and talk to each other and not be bothered. That was probably just down to boredom as it was very quiet though, so can't fault them too much! Overall we were not there for long but it was a good experience.

It was a wet and windy day and there weren't many people there but apparently it does get busy. There are several large monitors for Sky sports if that's your thing. The food was very good, we had fish and chips, Cumberland sausage and mash and steak and ale pie, and the service was excellent.

Absolutely wonderful pub!!!! One of my most favourites. The atmosphere is extremely chilled, the staff always go out of their way to ensure all guests are happy. Lewis especially has been a standout, with wonderful recommendations - he has contributed to my love of gin! The food is very well cooked and always delicious. I’ve been many times, often bringing new people and have never been disappointed. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I want more people to be aware of this great little find.

Popped in here for lunch with my wife on Friday and was really pleased we did. Had the buttermilk chicken burger which was superb. Accompanying beers were also excellent and the staff were friendly and very efficient. Will definitely pop in again next time I’m in London for a couple of days.

The problem with this place at the moment is that it's always very empty, most likely due to the fact that the area is still a building site. I'm sure once the new flats all around it start to complete, people will start coming here and it will get a good atmosphere.

The area has been regenerated, lots of new venues to explore. They have lots of seating available, including an upstairs area. The are upstairs doesn't have a bar, but they do have a lift if you have mobility issues and a comfy sofa. Drinks conform to London prices.

A lot better than any of the bars in St Georges wharf and only 4-5 mins walk further away.

It’s my local as it’s the closest to where I live and even though I find it overpriced, the atmosphere has gotten better since it opened as now it’s getting more and more popular. Shame about their pizza which has gone the other way, from the crust just the right height and tasty fillings to disappointing super thin crust and a slice of salami here and there. Will not be ordering pizza again but will be back for drinks.

Booked this for a birthday meal for 8 of us on a Saturday night due to location being close to hotel and right on the river. Very nice decor and food was good, however service was really not great at all. There were only 2 people serving at the bar and when we told one we had booked and asked what name she said "oh you might be upstairs" and then proceeded to serve someone else, leaving us to find our own way upstairs and guessing where we were sitting. The only table for 8 was not laid out and got the feeling no one was coming to see to us. I was right, as the only two staff were still downstairs at the bar chatting. I asked if they were actually expecting us and discovered that there was a table already set out for us downstairs. We came back downstairs and sat at our table but were then just left. No offers to get drinks straight away and we had to find our own menus that were lying on a table by the door. After a few mins we were finally asked for our drink order which was correct and came quickly. The bar and rest of the restaurant wasn't busy at all by the way. When the drinks were delivered we ordered our food. The same girl who told us we were 'probably' upstairs then left us to it took our orders by memory. Most of the food came promptly however we asked for 2 of the meals with chips and they came with mash instead. We didn't bother to complain about this as they just wanted to eat and it was apparently nice mash. 2 of us ordered pizzas however these didn't arrive at the table until 10 mins after everyone else's meals. All meals should have been ready at the same time and brought together not after some had half finished theirs! It's not as if the 'restaurant' was busy! I'd hate to be ordering a meal in this place when it's packed and there are lots of orders to organise! We were never asked if we wanted desert, and it took a while for one of them to realise our plates needed clearing. We also had to ask twice for the bill. The first time we asked the girl and she seemed to just either ignore our request or forget as she was too busy chatting to some guys at the bar but we asked the guy serving after about 10 mins of waiting for it and he brought it straight away. We could not fault the food, it was really good however the poor service, incorrect orders and timing of the food arriving did spoil our experience of the place. The staff really need to be a bit more attentive to their customers. They have a really nice restaurant here but it needs to be run as such, not just like a student bar with couldn't care less attitudes! Shame.

Great riverside pub, with extensive outdoor terrace and well-designed interiors that echo Brooklyn and Greenwich Village neighbourhood bars. The developers of the nearby luxury flats have clearly pumped a lot of money to try and create a pub that reinforces the "luxury", "chic" brand that they desire for this emerging neighbourhood... But it's paid off, and this is one of the nicest riverside pubs in the Vauxhall / Nine Elms area. Will definitely return.

(Translated) We were there on New Year's Eve and had ordered the New Year's Eve menu. The communication in advance was flawless. The service on site was very courteous and the food was delicious. The price performance ratio is very good. The location right on the Thames is just as great. Shortly before midnight, we were able to walk towards the Vauxhall Bridge and watch the fireworks. We can warmly recommend the restaurant. (Original) Wir waren am Silvesterabend dort und hatten das Silvestermenü bestellt. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war einwandfrei. Der Service vor Ort sehr zuvorkommend und das Essen war sehr lecker. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Die Lage direkt an der Themse ist ebenso super. So konnten wir kurz vor Mitternacht zu Fuß in Richtung Vauxhall Brücke laufen und das Feuerwerk anschauen. Wir können das Restaurant wärmstens weiterempfehlen.
