E. H.Great bar for a pint. Always has a great atmosphere here on a big game day, and there's not many bad spots to watch a screen.
It's nice any other time though, with a quality meal deal that always drags me in (£1.50 for a pint with a burger 🤩).
What makes this place is the staff though. Even if you only come semi-regularly, they will remember your face and probably your drink of choice.

V. J.Love the chicken wrap, always my go to. Also has really comfy high benches, which is quite a hard find in other local pubs. Staff members are so lovely too!

D. N.I had my suprised leaving do party organised there. I fully recommend this place. It has a private room for ocassions as well as plenty of additional space to sit and chill with your friends. It has a good selection of drinks and you can order some food as well. It has music so you can sing along. It's a very nice place to chill after work.
A. P.I’ve been going to this Oneills for years. The staff are friendly and always accommodating. They show every sports and will change one of the tvs to accommodate if you ask and they are able to help. The food is also great.

I had the posh pollo burger last night, which is crispy breaded chicken with avocado and bacon on a fluffy bun, and absolutely loved it. Super juicy and crispy and delicious.
Staff here are brilliant, very friendly and fast service.
I also got to try a variety of different chips, I loved the fries and the sweet potatoes, truly great comfort food! Can absolutely recommend this place.

Wow the vitriol for this review was not needed, as you can see I am a local and have reviewed over 500+ businesses in the area. I've been coming to this bar for 5+ years. Definitely never coming back here after that response and will show my friends how you treat customers. I give reviews based on my experience to assist other members of the public, not expectations of business owners to allow everyone 5* even if they try to give compensation.

H. M.This was the first time heading back into a pub since the beginning of this year and It couldn’t have been a better experience. We arrived at around 9pm on a Friday night and was greeted by a really friendly staff member who showed us to a table. Everything was spaced out nicely and you could see the staff were constantly keeping on top of sanitisation. We used the app to order to our Table and the staff that bought over our drinks were really friendly. Overall a great time back in our local and can’t wait to return for some food next time.

O.For the non Irish speakers O’Neill’s roughly translates to someone from a land of lively atmosphere, cold crisp cheap beers, a bountiful supply of seats and tables, the swiftest staff on the taps in the southwest and an unheard of thing in Clapham clean functioning toilets. This place surely lives up to its Irish name.
P.S Even though I was a tad poetic with my translation there it doesn’t make any of the description less applicable

S. w.My favourite bar in Clapham. I've never eaten here so cant comment on the food but they atmosphere is always great. Great bunch of people with decent attitudes. The DJ is doolally and manages to mix tech house into rock into hip hop into indie. Why not eh. I like it. I've spent many the night dancing my socks off in this place

A. C.I liked the food menu, i liked the drinks menu, but the service was kind of slow and the bar tender making the cocktail looked like he was struggling a lot. He made it around the corner, had a bit of a sweat on and kept asking others for direction. Perhaps it was his first time, maybe not confident with cocktaiks or perhaps simply more training is required. Either way, the cocktail was tasty!

P. A. P.It's a huge pub to just go and have some fun. They serve food in it although I've never eaten there. They have a lot of activities every week and a lot of games and sports to play (table tennis, foosball, etc.) The best thing of all is that it is so huge you'll never feel squeezing in, and for me that's great.

D.Enormous rather characterless Victorian pub turned into a cavernous bar. Some cheeky prices. Some fun events in the back room including a cabaret of Drag Queens (& Kings!) Food very pleasant e.g. a crab burger but overall quite an expensive experience for what it is. Think Wetherspoons with twice the prices.

And it was lovely but there was a couple of things that weren't on point but still gave 5Stars as all the members of staff including the manager William worked their rears off with true professionalism. Tills went down it was the Anthony Joshua fight night and the place was packed 6 deep at the bar ...but the staff was running around keeping customers at peace doing their up most not to let things tarnish the night... Yes people had to wait on drinks and foods but everyone left thoroughly having a great time x

C. d. G.Staff were nice, good range of American 'craft' beers, but a bit lacking in atmosphere (weekday evening), and food was disappointing. The menu reads wonderfully, and there are some great burger ideas, but the patties were overcooked, and the toppings sparse enough that it is possible to eat one with extra pulled pork topping cleanly with one's hands.
If you're after the American Diner experience, go to Honky Tonk just over the way, or Chicago Rib Shack down by Clapham North station.

D. B.Actually had a great time here. It used to be an O'Neill's but they've smartened it up and given it a fancy name. They have a DJ on a Saturday night and the music is pretty good.
b. t.What a change! Fantastic refurb, so it doesn't look like an average chain pub anymore. Plus DJS at the weekend playing music i actually want to hear! Burgers big and delicious, and flavoured water on the bar really helped after i'd drank a few beavertowns! Noticed they've got bands and live music on too. Happy to have such a great place in Clapham!

A. B.A very large open pub in clapham. This o'neils can get very busy at the weekends. The drinks are reasonably priced and there are normally a few drinks deals on to ease the cost. They serve food monday to sunday to aroubd 10pm and the menu has a wide selection of dishes as well as some traditional irish ones.

To turn it to a 5 star, i would expect an internal renovation and for your food to be picked up from the standard pub grub that it currently is. Other than that, I love the place, and dont mind a slightly weathered look.
